| Abstract: | Presented in this paper are uranium minerals and uranium deposits in the Tono area of Japan. The principal uranium minerals found in the Tono area are as follows: (1) Tetravalent uranium minerals: uraninite, coffinite. (2)Hexavalent uranium minerals: autunite, uranocircite. There are minerals absorbing uranium: zeolite, montmorillonite, carbonaceous matter. Uranium minerals are usually accompanied bY pyrite. Uranitum in the deposits is supplied from surrounding source recks, mostly from granite and transported by circulating ground-water. |
