| Abstract: | Excavation under the roadbed would destroy its stability . Two methods for excavation simulation are described, one is multi load step method, the other is initial stress loading method. Both are based on tunnel mechanics principles. The former has been used to analyze the excavations under the roadbed of the Beijing-Fuzhou Expressway. The result shows that the method is practical for the construction. |
