Abstract:The Xin antun copper-molybdenum deposit is located in the northeast of the Dunhua-Mishan deep and large fault zone.Affected by the fault zone,the tectonic structures in the mining area are developed,providing ore-bearing space and ore-conducting structure for the formation of the deposit.Based on the field geological survey,rock and mineral identification,the authors confirmed the characteristics of wall rock alteration,rock characteristics,structure and symbiotic association of ore minerals,and divided the metallogenic period into three stages and four phases.According to the actual exploration data,combined with previous research results,it is found that the Xin antun copper and molybdenum deposit is located in the northeastern superimposed orogenic-rift system,Fu anpu--Tadong Mo-Fe-W-Cu-Au-Pb-Zn-Ag metallogenic belt,and the southern Fu anpu-Malugou Mo-Fe-Cu-Au-Ag-Pb polymetallic prospecting area.Geochronologically,it is related to the Early Yanshan(i.e.Early Jurassic)porphyritic granodiorite.Quartz veins are closely related to the ore body and are the main ore-bearing parts.Based on the comparative study of the metallogenic model of the“veins above and ore bodies underneath”tungsten-molybdenum deposit,and combined with the NNW-trending granite porphyry vein found in the northeast of the mining area(presumed to be the rock branch invaded to the surface),the metallogenic prediction of the deep part of the deposit was carried out.It was speculated that the deposit was consistent with the metallogenic model of the“veins above and ore bodies underneath”of porphyry type deposits,that is,the Xin antun copper-molybdenum deposit is the upper vein,and the ore body is small in scale,belonging to the quartz vein type.By contrast,the ore bodies underneath is the porphyry body,implying that medium or large scale porphyry deposits may exist.
