| Abstract: | The COSAD measurement system detects deformations in structures, rock faces and extended earth-surface areas. The instrument is semi-automatic with electronic data-acquisition parts. In this paper, the theory and the accuracy, the measurement method and examples of applications are given. Results from structural deformation and a computer simulation of deformation in large extended areas are also included. |
