| 摘 要： | 文章简述了李连捷先生为中国的土壤科学和为生产服务而奋斗的一生。20世纪40年代,他在去美国深造之前,就在国内到贵州、广西和华南的许多省区进行了大面积的土壤调查工作。新中国成立后,他欣然接受先后到黑龙江、青海和内蒙古等省区进行荒地资源垦殖的调查任务,并于50～60年代,先后参与和组织了对西藏、新疆等地多专业的大型综合考察。通过这些考察,为西部大开发摸清和积累了大批可贵的自然资源资料,为我国土壤的发生和分类、土地资源的合理利用以及国民经济的发展做出了积极贡献。李先生在他近半个世纪的教学工作中,为我国培养了大批土壤科学人才。他一生刚正不阿、高风亮节,为我们树立了学习的榜样。在李连捷先生逝世10周年之际,仅以此文表达对他的深切怀念。

| Abstract: | This year is to commemorate the 10 th anniversary of the death of Professor Li Lianjie: an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the former professor of Beijing Agricultural University and famous pedologist.We write this article to cherish him with our deep memory.This article briefly narrates Professor Li Lianjie′s life for the research, education and productive application of the Chinese pedology. During the early 1930′s, Li Lianjie graduated from the Speciality of Geology and Geography, Science College of Yenching University. Then he did large scale pedological research in many provinces, i.e. , Guizhou, Guangxi. During 1940′s, he studied in the USA and got the Master and Doctor degrees and was appointed to work in the Military Geology Group of the US Federal Geological Investigation Institute. On the eve of the victory of the Anti Japanese War, in 1945, Professor Li Lianjie returned to the motherland and taught in the College of Agriculture of Peking University. After the foundation of New China, he did soil investigations in regions of Heilongjiang, Qinghai and Inner Mongolia for the barren land resources. During 1950′s～1960′s, he joined the large scale multiple specialities comprehensives inspection of many places, e.g., Xizang, Xinjiang and Beijing, etc. In the past half century, his footmarks spread all over the north and south of the Changjiang River, about the distance of over one third million kilometers. Through the longtime investigation and research, during 1930′s Li Lianjie put forward many new soil types on the basis of the research on the red loam and paddy soil and advanced the new opinion of the relationship between the formation of the red and yellow loam and the geology and hydrology of Quaternary. He firstly put forward the three soil classes of the soil classification so that he founded the Chinese soil classification and made great contributions to the occurance and classification of the Chinese soils. For many years, Professor Li Lianjie insisted the direction of science to serve the production. He devoted his wisdom and effort for reclamation of waste land resources in North West and Southwest, the comprehensive administration of the Low yielding salimized land and the rational utilization of the mountainous land range, etc. He opened the new way for pedology, soil geography to serve the agricultural production from his own concrete research and practice activities, which improved the development of pedology and also displayed a great success for the prosperous of the national economy. During his half century of teaching career, Professor Li trained lots of pedologically talented persons. Until his later years, he was still regardless of his old age and poor health and went to the field for observation with his master and doctor students, taught or revised the graduation thesis. Learned from his verbal directions and excellent example, many of his students became good pedologists. Soil always devotes its whole nutrients to crop selflessly. Professor Li also had the same moral character and devoted his whole life to the motherland and people as well as the research and education of pedology. |
