Abstract:The geophysical computerized tomography technique,a new geophysical exploration method,can explore the unconnected appearances,such as faults,sunken pillars and igneous intrusives in coal beds.Its characteristics include that the internal image in explored bodies can be reestablished with high resolution and especially,the detection accuracy of computerized tomography between downholes is more closer to that of information source and is higher than accuracy of conventional geophysical method such as electrical sounding method.The paper describes the operational principle of computerized tomography originated from the basic theory of tomography in medical science and presents an useful SRT method of re-established images.In the production of underground coal gasification,the geophysical computerized tomography method could be used to explore the structures in thick coal sections.The special inverse calculation can be applied based on the large numbers of measuring information of radiant flux.During site operation by new technique,the features of domestic underground gasification i.e.long channel and thick section must be considered without simply applying foreign model.
