| Abstract: | A new method for determining Curie point of ferromagnetic minerals is introduced in this article. The method is to determine Curie point by observing the disappearance of magnetic hysteresis loop of ferromagnetic minerals placed in an alternating magnetic field, from the oscillograph. Following the heating of the minerals, the magnetic intensity M of the sample is reducing and when the temperature reaches Curie point, M drops to zero, the magaetic field intensity H. now only can be read, and the magnetic hysteresis loop changes to a horizonal line on the fluorescent screen of the oscillograph. It is at this magnetic inversion temperature the curie temperature is determined with thermocouple and the electric potential differencemeter. |
