Abstract: | Effects of salinity, pH, nitrogenous and phosphate nutrients on the growth rate of four species of benthic diatoms were studied
by using the method of in situ optical density measurement. The optimal culture conditions for the four species of diatoms
are as follows: forAmphora coffeaeformis, s 35; pH 8.5; NO3
−−N 1.54, NH4
+−N, 7.0; CO (NH2)2−N, 2.5 (mg/L); PO4
