Abstract:On the basis of analysis of the tectonic landform and geologic features and TL dating,as well as drainage offset,we can draw some conclusions as follows.The Fangxian segment of Qingfeng fault was predominantly active in the Early Quaternary and weakly active in the Late one,and TL dating results range from 5×104 a to 7×104 a.The segment sufferred from two regime different tectonic movement,which is characterized by thrusting movement in the Early Quaternary and normal faulting and left-lateral slip movement in the Late Quaternary.Furthermore,the moving segment dislocated the branch drainage of the Malan river,with an average displacement of 1.7 km.The left-lateral movement dominates the development and evolution of Fangxian basin.
