Abstract:On the basis of the morphological expansion and corrosion principle, we put forward a method and flow??process in land??use parcels generalization which is suitable to fast engineering application, combining with the general law of map generalization and minimum cartographic area, distances between patches and width of the parcel on land??use map. A typical case study of the difficult part of long and narrow patches proves that it is efficient to obtain the generalization goal using this method.
