| Abstract: | The seismic activity characteristics of Sanbanxi Reservoir in Guizhou Province before and after water impoundment were analyzed and the genesis of the seismic activity in Sanbanxi Reservoir was discussed. The results show that there are two types of the seismic activity in the Sanbanxi Reservoir: the reservoir induced tectonic earthquakes, and the earthquakes caused by the stress unloading on the crustal surface. |
