Sonar and radar signals are scattered by small-scale roughness elements of the sea surface. The characteristics of the roughness depend on wind, sea state, and other parameters. The dynamic behavior of this roughness is related to radar backscatter. This provides a basis for oceanographic radar remote sensing and links radar backscatter to sea surface sonar conditions. Radar, sonar, and roughness experiments have been conducted at the research platform NORDSEE. The results are combined and provide a method to estimate shallow water sonar conditions from the radar backscatter cross section  相似文献

基于相参X-波段海洋雷达的海表轮廓测量研究   总被引:4,自引:2,他引:2  
X-波段海洋雷达测量所得海面散射单元的多普勒信息与散射单元的雷达视向速度密切相关。首先,基于符号多普勒估计方法,对X-波段雷达海面回波的多普勒频移信息进行了估计;在此基础上,应用各分辨单元回波的多普勒频移信息,建立了海浪表面轮廓的反演算法。该算法中,同时考虑了雷达入射角、方位角和雷达空间分辨率等因素对反演结果的影响。通过将反演结果与浮标测量数据相比较,发现雷达空间分辨率起到了类似低通滤波的作用,该作用对短重力波谱影响显著。同时,还应用加拿大麦克马斯特大学的IPIX雷达数据对海表轮廓进行了反演,并将反演所得有效波高、海浪周期与现场测量数据进行了比较,反演结果与现场测量结果吻合较好。  相似文献

卫星遥感是开展北极海域海面风场和海浪分布特征与变化规律研究的重要手段。本文基于在轨多源卫星遥感数据,从遥感观测空间覆盖、时间覆盖和多源卫星遥感数据融合等方面开展北极海域海面风场与海浪遥感观测能力分析,研究主要结果为:基于ASCAT和HY-2A散射计可实现北极海域海面风场遥感观测,通过多星联合观测可获取北极海域时空分辨率优于12 h和0.1°的海面风场遥感融合数据;基于HY-2A、CryoSat-2、SARAL和Sentinel-3高度计可实现北极海域海浪遥感观测,同样通过多星联合观测可获取北极海域时空分辨率优于1 d和0.25°的海浪有效波高遥感融合数据;基于2016年北极海面风场和海浪遥感融合数据,分析得出北极海域海面风场和海浪在2月处于极大值,然后逐渐减小,7月最小,随后开始逐渐增大。本研究表明,基于多源散射计和高度计遥感观测可实现北极海域海面风场和海浪的高时空分辨率遥感业务化监测。  相似文献

We present the results of development and testing of a coastal X-band radar system for monitoring wind waves and currents at the Black Sea (near Gelendzhik) created on the basis of nautical radars. Radar measurements of wave heights were validated by data from a wave buoy and a moored acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP). The conditions for successful radar measurements of waves in the coastal environment have been determined. It was shown that a radar with an aperture 1° could successfully measure wave heights at a distance of 1.2 km from the radar, when waves arrive at an angle of ±31° to the main sensing direction. In this case, for wave height measurements, the correlation coefficient between the radar and independent data is 0.82 and the standard deviation is 0.26 m.  相似文献

The paper concentrates on the evolution of a spectrum of short wind waves (SW) along the profile of a long surface wave (LW). Short wave spectral variations are considered in the relaxation approximation. The SW spectrum is modulated by the orbital velocities of long waves and by the variations of wind stress along the LW profile. The latter effect occurs due to wind flux perturbations induced by both the long wave proper and variations of the sea surface roughness induced by the SW modulations. To describe this effect, a feedback mechanism is introduces—the growth of energy of short waves results in the larger roughness of the sea surface, thereby contributing to the local wind stress, which facilitates, in turn, the growth of short waves. With moderate and strong winds being involved, this effect (aerodynamic feedback) is shown to be dominant in the short wave spectrum modulation. The mechanism becomes more efficient with intensification of the wind and decreasing of the long waves' frequency. Results of model calculations are in agreement with the known experimental data. 利用安装于福建龙海的OSMAR071高频地波雷达和位于雷达波束范围内金门料罗湾口的波浪浮标在2008年11月1日至2009年4月30日半年期间的观测结果,对Barrick波高模型进行改进和模型系数拟合、标定,讨论了改进模型系数的稳定性。结果表明,该模型能适应噪声和干扰等因素对宽波束雷达有效波高探测结果的影响。雷达观测反演回报的有效波高与浮标观测结果对比,二者时间序列的均方根误差为0.39m,相关系数为0.67。  相似文献

An accelerometer buoy wave gauge developed in the Marine Hydrophysical Institute of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences is described. This allows measurement of acceleration and the sea surface elevation in the system of reference connected with a buoy. The integral and frequency spectral characteristics of waves can be computed from the records of the wave gauge signal. As known fromin situ observations, inhomogeneities of flows and of the atmospheric boundary layer produce variations of the intensity of wind wave breaking. A relevant phenomenological model is suggested here, describingin situ data on the breaking of waves in the presence of internal waves. The response of the wave breaking to the flow's inhomogeneity enhances with the growth of its spatial or temporal scale. For the mesoscale (10–100 km) inhomogeneities, the model is essentially simplified—wave breakings depict the local energy inputs to wind waves. The model allows us to compute currents of various type in the wave breaking intensity field. The results may have practical implications, in terms of remote sensing of the ocean. 2007年在朱家尖和嵊山布设了小型阵变频高频地波雷达,对共同覆盖范围内的舟山海域进行风、浪、流的业务化探测。2015年7月11日,1509号台风灿鸿在朱家尖沿海登陆,之后继续向北偏东方向移动,台风中心经过高频地波雷达探测海域。本文将台风期间高频地波雷达的探测数据分别与定点浮标观测数据和ASCAT卫星遥感大面积风场数据进行了对比分析。结果表明,高频地波雷达在台风期间较好地反映了舟山海域流场特征和风场分布情况,高频地波雷达的探测数据精度满足指标要求,验证了高频地波雷达在复杂海况条件下具有合格的探测性能。  相似文献

1983年11月中美首次在南黄海西部开展水文和地质联合调查,该调查共设5个浮标站和54个CTD站,其中CTD站所获的温、盐度和溶解氧、透光度资料早已有过一些报道,并获得了一些有益的结论(丁宗信等,1986;熊庆成等,1986;赵保仁等,1986)。但对这次调查所取得的浮标测流资料尚未有人进行认真的分析研究,也未曾报道过。这次测流还是比较成功的,所揭示的现象使人感到振奋,而且这也是迄今在南黄海西部使用浮标最多、时间最长的一次浮标阵测流工作。 本文试图结合1983年11月调查时的海上风速和沿岸水位变化进行综合分析,并对那里的环流状态提出一些初步看法,以利于对南黄海西部水域的海流变动特征和生成机制进行更深入的研究。  相似文献

This paper describes the results of an experimental investigation of the microwave backscatter from several laboratory generated transient breaking waves. The breaking waves were generated mechanically in a 35 m×0.7 m×1.14 m deep wave tank, utilizing chirped wave packets spanning the frequency range 0.8-2.0 Hz. Backscatter measurements, were taken by a X/K-band (10.525 GHz, 24.125 GHz) continuous wave Doppler radar at 30°, 45°, and 60° angles of incidence, and at azimuth angles of 0° and 180° relative to the direction of wave propagation. Surface profiles were measured with a high-speed video camera and laser sheet technique. Specular facets were detected by imaging the surface from the perspective of the radar. The maximum radar backscatter occurred in the upwave direction prior to wave breaking, was nearly polarization independent and corresponded to the detection of specular facets on the steepened wave face. This peak radar backscatter was predicted through a finite conductivity corrected physical optics technique over the measured surface wave profiles. Post break backscatter was predicted using a roughness corrected physical optics technique and the small perturbation method, which was found to predict the returns for vertical polarization, but to under predict the horizontal returns  相似文献

An experimental method to investigate submarine bedform signatures at the sea surface is described. The study area was the Lister Tief in the German Bight of the southeastern North Sea, a semienclosed tidal basin with asymmetric and very large sand waves. In-situ and remote measurements of surface roughness were obtained simultaneously. 风速是重要的海洋状态参数之一,对海面风速的准确提取是实现海洋环境监测和沿海工程应用的重要保证。目前,作为新兴海洋环境监测设备,高频雷达在风速提取方面仍然存在挑战。本文提出了一种基于人工神经网络的风速提取方法,利用历史浮标测量海态数据训练风速提取网络,实现风速与有效波高、波周期、风向及时间因素之间的非线性映射。测试结果表明了这一网络在时间和空间上的稳定性;进而将已训练的网络应用到便携式高频地波雷达OSMAR-S的风速反演中,得到的风速与浮标测量风速间的相关系数达到0.849,均方根误差为2.11 m/s。这一结果明显优于常规由浪高反演风速的SMB方法,验证了该方法在高频雷达风速反演中的可行性。  相似文献

A model is formulated for Doppler spectral characteristics of radar sea scatter for low grazing angles, and is compared with previous radar measurements reported in the literature. The Doppler model is based upon the two-scale model for radar scatter, with scatterer motions hypothesized as due to the orbital wave velocity of the large-scale waves, Stokes and wind drift currents, and the phase velocity of the small-scale Bragg scatterers. Expressions for Doppler shifts due to these motions are derived, and are given as a function of wave height, wave period, and wind speed. Although this model appears to account for the peak Doppler shift of the sea-scatter Doppler spectrum for vertical polarization, it is insufficient to describe horizontally and cross-polarized data, which have larger mean Doppler shifts. However, these two cases are found to scale very closely with the nearly simultaneous vertically polarized data for the variety of environmental conditions reported. Implications of the extension of these results to higher-angle remote-sensing applications are discussed.  相似文献

采用卫星遥感推算多年一遇波高的新方法,对中国近海多年一遇波高进行推算研究。运用卫星遥感散射计得到的风资料推算了整个渤海区域波浪多年一遇的波高分布。通过与有实测资料4个点推算的结果比较表明:卫星资料和实测计算的误差随着重现期的增大而减小,最大误差百年和50年一遇波高为20cm;而百年和50年一遇波高正是工程中最为关心的,说明运用卫星遥感散射计风资料推算渤海多年一遇波高可行且结果合理。本研究方法为进一步运用和完善卫星遥感资料推算中国近海多年一波高场提供了一条新途径。  相似文献

通过对东沙群岛附近2009年夏季测到的三个孤立波事件的分析, 结合现场的X 波段雷达、ADCP和CTD 观测, 发现内孤立波经过时, 伴有突发性强流, 最大水平东西分量U大于0.5 m/s, 周期大约15 min, 各深度层海流均为西向。第三个孤立波事件中, 雷达后向散射影像中包含至少4个亮条带, 其中最后的条带雷达表面信号最强。而内波表面信号强弱不仅与内波的振幅有关, 还可能与潮流、混合层深度等环境条件有关, 该研究可加深对内波遥感观测的理解。  相似文献

国内外对海上阵风的研究并不多,且大多集中在阵风预报和应用研究方面,对于海洋阵风数据的获取技术未见文献系统论述。本文利用HY-2B卫星雷达高度计观测的后向散射系数,结合校正微波辐射计观测的亮度温度信息,提出联合反演阵风风速的方法。两个遥感载荷联合反演得到的阵风风速与2019–2021年美国国家浮标数据中心(NDBC)浮标数据进行真实性检验,结果显示:阵风风速均方根误差(RMSE)为0.98 m/s,相关系数为0.82;基于本方法利用国外同类卫星Jason-3得到的阵风风速与2016–2018年NDBC浮标数据的RMSE为0.96 m/s,相关系数为0.88。本文在HY-2B卫星雷达高度计海面风速观测的基础上,纳入同一卫星平台校正微波辐射计的同步观测信息联合实现了海面阵风的观测,数据的比对结果证明文中方法具有较高的观测精度。同时,该方法对于具有相同观测体制的国内外卫星也适用。  相似文献

We made and set a spar buoy in September 1975 at Tsuyazaki for the purpose of developing the buoy system to acquire the oceanographical data. Motions of the buoy were also measured in terms of three components of acceleration, roll, and pitch. The buoy was removed from the site in May 1978.A method of eliminating influence of the buoy motion on the measured wave data was invented and examined by using the field data. It was found that the influence of the buoy motion on the wave data was so small that the amount of correcting the motion was negligible. In addition wave data obtained at the buoy were compared with those obtained at the fixed type platform, which was built in 1974 to get the reference data of wind, waves and currents. The agreement was found to be good. The performance of the buoy was as good as intended. Thus, it was shown that the buoy so far developed could be used as the platform for oceanographic research such as measuring wind and waves with higher precision.  相似文献
