The Southeast Anatolian orogen is a part of the eastern Mediterranean-Himalayan orogenic belt. Development of the Southeast Anatolian orogen began with the first ophiolite obduction onto the Arabian platform during the Late Cretaceous, and it continued until the Miocene. Its lingering effects continue to be discernible at present. During the Late Cretaceous-Miocene interval, three major deformational phases occurred, related to Late Cretaceous, Eocene, and Miocene nappe emplacements. The Miocene nappes are composed of ophiolites and metamorphic massifs.

For a decade, field studies in the region have shown that strike-slip tectonics played a role complementary to the major horizontal effects of the nappe movement, as indicated by: (1) fault systems active during the Eocene; (2) different Eocene rock units composed of coeval continental and deep-sea deposits and presently tectonically juxtaposed; and (3) other stratigraphic and structural data obtained across the present strike-slip fault zones.

These strike-slip faults possibly resulted from oblique subduction of the mid-oceanic ridge underneath the northerly situated Yuksekova ensimatic island-arc complex, causing a gradual cessation of the island-arc system. The subduction also led to the development of a back-arc pull-apart basin, i.e., the Maden basin, which opened on the upper plate. The geologic history in Southeast Anatolia resembles the development of the San Andreas fault system and subsequent tectonic evolution.  相似文献

位于燕山陆内造山带中段南缘的蓟县盘山花岗岩体由狼家峪、官庄、东罗庄和小盘山4个侵入单元组成,并发育侵入期后含斑石英二长岩脉,发育环绕岩体分布的周缘向斜并侵蚀早期东西向蓟县断裂。对前3个侵入单元及岩体西侧围岩中的顺层侵入的含斑石英二长岩脉等4件样品的锆石U-Pb(SHRIMP)定年结果为,年龄值界于203-207Ma,表明盘山花岗岩体侵位于三叠纪末期。这个年龄结果进一步限定了燕山陆内造山带东西向褶皱、逆冲/逆掩断层系统形成时代的上限,显示其形成时代为印支期。  相似文献

为查明滇西北贡山地区大地构造单元的划分与特征,系统收集整理了不同比例尺的区域地质调查资料,得出4方面新认识:1该区大地构造单元划分为独龙江岩浆弧和丙中洛地块,二者分界为向东倾斜的高黎贡山逆冲推覆断裂;2独龙江岩浆弧属腾冲造山带,丙中洛地块属三江造山带,其间被中特提斯洋所分隔;3中特提斯洋于中侏罗世打开,晚侏罗世—早白垩世早期向西俯冲消减,早白垩世晚期—晚白垩世闭合;4班公错—东巧缝合带在该区已被向西逆冲推覆的高黎贡山岩群(Pt_1G.)所压覆。  相似文献

The origin and geodynamic setting of the Maden Complex, which is situated in the Bitlis-Zagros Suture Zone in the Southeast Anatolian Orogenic Belt, is still controversial due to lack of systematic geological and geochemical data. Here we present new whole rock major-trace-rare earth element and Sre Nd isotope data from the Middle Eocene volcanic rocks exposed in Maden Complex and discuss their origin in the light of new and old data. The volcanic lithologies are represented mainly by basalt and andesite, and minor dacite that vary from low-K tholeiitic, calc-alkaline, high-K calc-alkaline, and shoshonitic in composition. They exhibit enrichments in large ion lithophile and light rare earth elements, with depletions in high field strength elements. Basaltic rocks have uniform Sr and Nd isotope ratios with high εNd(t) values varying from t5.5 to t6.7, in contrast to, andesitic rocks are characterized by low εNd(t) values ranging from à1.6 to à10. These geochemical and isotopic characteristics indicate that two end-members, a subduction-related mantle source and a continental crust, were involved in the magma genesis. Considering all geological and geochemical data, we suggest that the Eocene Maden magmatism occurred as a post-collisional product by asthenospheric upwelling owing to convective removal of the lithosphere during an extensional collapse of the Southeast Anatolian ranges.  相似文献

为了深入认识四川前陆盆地须家河组沉积物源方向及物源区构造背景,对该盆地次级构造单元内须家河组砂岩碎屑组分、岩屑类型、重矿物组合特征、稀土元素和微量元素进行了分析。结果表明,盆地中的碎屑物源主要来自再旋回造山带,部分可能来自造山之前的混合区,不同的构造单元和层位存在不同物源区的特点:川西坳陷物源主要受龙门山逆冲推覆带控制;川东北坳陷物源主要受米仓山-大巴山逆冲推覆带控制;川东南坳陷物源受雪峰古陆控制,而川中古隆起物源则主要来自南部峨眉瓦山古陆。物源区具有大陆边缘向大陆岛弧转化的构造演化特点,须四期龙门山的逆冲推覆活动明显强于须二期。  相似文献

依据近年来区域地质调查的成果,漠河逆冲推覆构造中段的典型构造为逆冲叠瓦状断层、紧闭尖棱褶皱、倒转褶皱及反冲断层形成的冲起构造和隔挡式褶皱。这些构造显示指向SSE的变形。结合同位素资料,认为漠河逆冲推覆构造形成的时代为晚侏罗世晚期—早白垩世早期。其形成与中亚蒙古-鄂霍茨克构造带晚期造山时代和动力学背景一致。  相似文献

造山带是一复杂的构造拼贴体,其地层学工作需要新的理论和方法:造山带地层学,它强调盆地分析的活动论史观,即威尔逊旋回各阶段的建造在空间上都不能简单对比,和地史期间大规模的水平运动。以区域构造解析为主的综合分析法是力学分析与历史分析相结合的方法的发展,后者已被赋予了许多新内容,故造山带地层学不一定单按岩相古地理重建这一思路进行。地质图则可以与年代地层单位不发生平行关系的岩石地层单位为填图单位。  相似文献

经资料搜集与野外调研,对云南三江造山带西部重要断裂的位置、特征及南北连接,形成了一些新的认识.即:①怒江断裂在滇西北为高黎贡山变质基底杂岩与丙中洛地块、滇西南为潞西断块与保山地块的边界断裂,属三级构造单元的边界断裂;②班公错-东巧断裂进入云南后,北段、中段与位于高黎贡山主峰的向东倾斜的高黎贡山逆冲推覆断裂相连接,南段称为龙陵-瑞丽断裂;③高黎贡山断裂、龙陵-瑞丽断裂为腾冲造山带与三江造山带的边界断裂,属一级构造单元的边界断裂;④昌宁-孟连结合带东西两侧的双江-竹塘断裂、沧源断裂北延至滇西北后,分别与位于碧罗雪山西坡的福贡断裂、捧当断裂相连接;⑤迪麻洛-昌宁-孟连结合带为二级构造单元,东西两侧的二级构造单元分别为崇山-临沧地块、丙中洛-保山陆块.云南三江造山带西部划分为2个二级构造单元、7个三级构造单元.  相似文献

通过对原信阳群标准地层剖面的深入研究,查明该岩石—地层单位实属变形十分复杂的构造地层体。古生物资料表明,原信阳群南湾组确属中—晚泥盆世地层;而同位素定年结果则显示,原信阳群龟山组纯系前泥盆纪变质杂岩组成的构造地层体。据此,笔者认为原信阳群应解体。本文着重从岩石、构造分析入手,对新解体出的不同地质体分别就其地层涵义、构造归属作了较系统的论述,并扼要阐明各自发展演化的大地构造意义。  相似文献

The G?ksun(Kahramanmaras)ophiolite(GKO),cropping out in a tectonic window bounded by the Malatya metamorphic unit on both the north and south,is located in the EW-trending lower nappe zone of the southeast Anatolian orogenic belt(Turkey).It exhibits a complete oceanic lithospheric section and overlies the Middle Eocene Maden Group/Complex with a tectonic contact at its base.The ophiolitic rocks and the tectonically overlying Malatya metamorphic(continental)unit were intruded by I-type calc-alkaline Late Cretaceous granitoid(~81-84 Ma).The ultramafic to cumulates in the GKO are represented by wehrlite,plagioclase wehrlite,olivine gabbro and gabbro.The crystallization order for the cumulate rocks is as follows:olivine±chromian spinel→clinopyroxene→plagioclase.The major and trace element geochemistry as well as the mineral chemistry of the ultramafic to mafic cumulate rocks suggest that the primary magma generating the GKO is compositionally similar to that observed in the modern island-arc tholeiitic sequences.The mineral chemistry of the ultramafic to mafic cumulates indicates that they were derived from a mantle source that was previously depleted by earlier partial melting events.The highly magnesian olivine(Fo77-83),clinopyroxene(Mg#of 82-90)and the highly Ca-plagioclase(An81-89)exhibit a close similarity to those,which formed in a supra-subduction zone(SSZ)setting.The field and the geochemical evidence suggest that the GKO formed as part of a much larger sheet of oceanic lithosphere,which accreted to the base of the Tauride active continental margin,including the ispendere,K?mürhan and the Guleman ophiolites.The latter were contemporaneous and genetically/tectonically related within the same SSZ setting during the closure of the Neotethyan oceanic basin(Berit Ocean)between the Taurides to the north and the Bitlis-Pütürge massif to the south during the Late Cretaceous.  相似文献

Pb Isotope Mapping in the Tongbai-Dabie Orogenic Belt, Central China   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Tongbai-Dabie orogenic belt in Central China is a part of the collisional belt between the Yangtze and North China cratons. It represents one of the most extensive ultrahigh-pressure (UHP) and high-pressure (HP) metamorphic rocks in the world. The Pb isotope mapping in this area is a significant method to constrain the crustal structure and tectonic evolution and to identify the tectonic boundaries within the vertical tectonic stack. Based on the Pb isotope compositions of the Dabie complex (DBC), the Tongbai complex (TBC), UHP and HP metamorphic rocks and associated foliated granites, the lower metamorphosed rocks from North Huaiyang (NHY) tectonic belt, and Cretaceous granites in the Tongbai-Dabie orogenic belt, we determined the Pb isotope geochemical map of the Tongbai-Dabie orogenic belt. The Pb isotope map shows that the Pb isotope compositions are similar within each geological body or lithotectonic unit, but the Pb isotope compositions of different lithotectonic units show systematic variations in the Tongbai-Dabie orogenic belt. The NHY tectonic belt contrasts strongly with the Tongbai-Dabie UHP.HP metamorphic belt in Pb isotope compositions. It is suggested that the line along the Xiaotian-Mozitan fault, the north limit of the Tongbai-Dabie UHP and HP metamorphic rocks, represents an important tectonic boundary. Within the Tongbai-Dabie HP -UHP metamorphic belt, to the south of Xiaotian-Mozitan fault, the vertical variations of Pb isotope compositions in different lithotectonic units and the spatial relationship among different major lithotectonic units have been constrained.  相似文献

造山带中残存有许多前寒武纪地质体,其中一些被当作前寒武纪基底用于探讨所在微陆块的大地构造属性。由于微陆块属性对于造山带结构和演化具有重要意义,以及所讨论的前寒武纪地质体蕴含地球早期历史演化信息,对微陆块属性的厘定成为造山带研究的重点和难点问题之一。笔者等以中亚造山带南缘中段的微陆块为例,总结梳理了微陆块厘定的相关依据:岩石组合和变质变形特征,碎屑锆石谱峰显示的源区时代特征,地质事件序列,前寒武纪地壳演化信息,继承锆石、捕获锆石和古生代侵入体同位素显示的深源地壳信息,以及地球物理等方面的特征。由于不同学者采用的厘定依据不同,对微陆块属性认识争论不断,即使相同依据也有一定的差异,从而影响对造山带结构和演化的认识。基于以上原因,笔者等认为前寒武纪基底的亲缘性探讨不仅要注重岩石组合和形成时代,还要在精细野外解剖和高精度年代学工作基础上,注意其变质—变形特征、接触关系、源区时代特征、岩石成因和构造环境、地壳增生信息和深源地壳信息等的综合对比分析,以得到较全面依据,探讨其构造属性。当获得一组前寒武纪地质体信息时,可先进行同构造单元内对比,再与其他构造单元对比。当特征相异时则需进行构造单元拆分或考虑构造就位的可能(包括但不限于推覆体、走滑外来体、俯冲刮削的构造岩片);当特征相似时,可能指示了相同微陆块的裂解或破坏或者不同的微陆块共同经历了相似的前寒武纪演化历程。  相似文献

桐柏-大别碰撞造山带的组成与结构,主要是印支期碰撞及高压、超高压变质期后伸展构造和中新生代热-构造演化的结果。在组成上,除了燕山期及其后的岩浆活动和盆地堆积产物以外,主要包括核部杂岩单元、超高压单元、高压单元、绿帘-蓝片岩单元和沉积盖层单元等,此外还有一些镁铁质和超镁铁质岩体残留或侵入其中。桐柏-大别碰撞造山带的整体结构样式类似于北美西部的变质核杂岩带,即以总体具穹隆形态及多层拆离滑脱带的发育为特征,构成了以罗田和桐柏山为核部的两个穹隆。超高压单元、高压单元和绿帘蓝片岩单元作为不同的岩片夹持于核部杂岩和沉积盖层之间,其分布格局受碰撞期后伸展构造格架所制约。  相似文献

秦岭造山带南缘的大巴山巨型逆冲推覆构造主要是在秦岭造山带板块俯冲碰撞造山与中、新生代以来陆内造山过程中长期复合作用形成的。详细的室内外构造研究表明,巴山逆冲推覆构造可以巴山弧形断裂带为界划分为北大巴山逆冲推覆构造和南大巴山逆冲推覆构造。北大巴山自北而南依次由安康-武当推覆体、紫阳-平利推覆体、高桥-镇坪推覆体和高滩推覆体逆冲叠置而成。南大巴山则以镇巴-阳日断裂为界,分为北部的前陆冲断褶皱带和南部的前陆褶皱带。北大巴山主要是印支期碰撞造山作用和燕山期陆内逆冲推覆作用叠加改造的结果,南大巴山则主要是燕山期递进变形过程中的产物。构造变形北强南弱,北以冲断褶皱变形为特征,南以皱褶作用为主;北部褶皱紧闭复杂,向南渐变为宽缓的薄皮构造。逆冲作用在时序上具有由北向南扩展传递的特点。  相似文献

The Valais units in Savoy (Zone des Brèches de Tarentaise) have been re-mapped in great detail and are subject of combined stratigraphic, structural and petrological investigations summarized in this contribution. The sediments and rare relics of basement, together with Cretaceous age mafic and ultramafic rocks of the Valais palaeogeographical domain, represent the heavily deformed relics of the former distal European margin (External Valais units) and an ocean–continent transition (Internal Valais unit or Versoyen unit) that formed during rifting. This rifting led to the opening of the Valais ocean, a northern branch of the Alpine Tethys. Post-rift sediments referred to as “Valais trilogy” stratigraphically overlie both External and Internal Valais successions above an angular unconformity formed in Barremian to Aptian times, providing robust evidence for the timing of the opening of the Valais ocean. The Valais units in Savoy are part of a second and more external mid-Eocene high-pressure belt in the Alps that sutured the Briançonnais microcontinent to Europe. Top-N D1-deformation led to the formation of a nappe stack that emplaced the largely eclogite-facies Internal Valais unit (Versoyen) onto blueschist-facies External Valais units. The latter originally consisted of, from internal to external, the Petit St. Bernard unit, the Roc de l’Enfer unit, the Moûtiers unit and the Quermoz unit. Ongoing top-N D2-thrusting and folding substantially modified this nappe stack. Post 35 Ma D3 folding led to relatively minor modifications of the nappe stack within the Valais units but was associated with substantial top-WNW thrusting of the Valais units over the Dauphinois units along the Roselend thrust during W-directed indentation of the Adria block contributing to the formation of the arc of the Western Alps.  相似文献
