Making use of 75 earthquake data of China mainland and adjacent areas recorded by long period seismometers of 27 stations of China and 3 stations of WWSSN and processed by match-filtering frequency-time analysis technique and grid dispersion inversion, the authors obtain pure-path dispersion curves of Rayleigh surface wave in 147 grids in this paper. The distribution characteristics of group velocity are as follows:the China mainland and its adjacent sea areas are divided into two parts of east and west by South-North belt and are separated in blocks of south and north with boundaries of 44°–44°N,28°N (in the west part) and 28°–32°N (in the east part), the first and third boundaries may extend eastward into sea regions, in the west side of island arc and continental shelves, appears belt-form distribution of group velocity striping NE direction. These distribution characteristics correspond to zonation of tectonic structure. In addition, the results also indicate that the differences of group velocity dispersion curves exist between tectonic elements of next order. It is revealable for the differences of group velocity among different tectonic elements until periodT = 113s (corresponding depth is about 170km). Utilising datasets from the Global Network of Isotopes in Precipitation of the International Atomic Energy Agency, and previous isotopic studies, we investigated δ18O spatial and temporal patterns in Chinese precipitation. Significantly positive relationships existed between precipitation δ18O and air temperature above the north of 35°N and in high altitude regions above 32°N. Significantly negative relationships between precipitation δ18O and the precipitation amount existed below south of 35°N. These temperature and precipitation effects became stronger with increasing altitude except in high altitude regions between 32°N and 35°N. The NCEP/NCAR reanalysis data from 1980 to 2004 showed that variations in spatial and seasonal wind fields at 700 hpa and total precipitable water from the ground to the top of the atmosphere were correlated with the monthly spatial distribution of precipitation δ18O. Basing on this relationship, we established quantitative correlations between the mean monthly precipitation δ18O and both latitude and temperature in different seasons. We found that spatial variations in precipitation δ18O could be described well using the Bowen–Wilkinson model and second‐order equations developed during the present study only in winter (from December to February). During the rest of the year, patterns were too complex to predict using simple models. The results suggest that it is difficult to demonstrate variations of precipitation δ18O throughout the year and for all regions of China using a single model. Moreover, the new models for the relationships among precipitation, latitude, and temperature were better able to depict the variations in precipitation δ18O than the Bowen–Wilkinson model. 菲律宾群岛受到欧亚板块、菲律宾海板块和印度-澳大利亚板块的碰撞作用,地质环境复杂,构造因素多样.尽管近几年来已经有了少数关于该区域层析成像的研究,但这些研究的区域主要集中在马尼拉海沟、吕宋岛及中菲律宾地区,而关于群岛周围其他海沟和南菲律宾地区的讨论相对较少.到目前为止,还没有同时获得过关于菲律宾群岛深部纵、横波速度结构的研究,本次研究通过反演155779条P波震相和59642条S波震相,同时获得了菲律宾群岛从地表至150 km深度的纵、横波速度结构.地震层析成像结果表明该地区的壳幔速度结构具有较强的不均一性,地壳内部存在着广泛的低速异常,而表征俯冲板块的高速异常则沿着群岛周边的海沟展布.南海块体在马尼拉海沟中段的俯冲角度和俯冲活动性比南段小;菲律宾海板块在东吕宋海槽南段微弱的俯冲作用很有可能同本哈姆海台的碰撞有关.菲律宾群岛大部分MW>6.0的强震沿着各个板块的边界发生,体现出菲律宾海板块同欧亚板块之间的强耦合作用,群岛西侧的南海块体在马尼拉海沟16°N-20°N之间呈现出的弱耦合状态可能跟北吕宋地区的拉张应力环境有关,南海块体在16°N以南的地区同上覆块体之间的耦合作用较强;群岛东侧的菲律宾海板块在14°N以北的地区没有强震发生,它与菲律宾群岛之间的耦合程度从北向南逐渐增强,在12°N以南的地区要强于12°N以北的地区;此外苏禄海盆和菲律宾构造带之间也存在着强耦合关系.  相似文献

基于GPS多期复测资料, 利用最小二乘配置方法计算川滇地区应变参数, 分析该区域应变率场分布及其变化特征并探讨其分布与强震关系。 研究结果表明: ① 各时段应变率场空间分布的明显变化应属于大于GPS资料误差的真实地壳构造形变信息; ② 最大剪应变率及第一、 第二剪应变率的结果反映了走滑断裂对区域变形的显著控制; ③ 主应变率, 东西、 南北向应变率场动态结果反映的汶川地震孕震的空间尺度较大; ④ 在本区大致反映北东向与北西向剪切变形的第一剪应变率、 东西向应变率、 南北向应变率及最大剪应变率与6级以上地震对应较好。  相似文献

本文以安徽省境内的12个地震台的平均机制解以及较为可靠的中小地震机制解结果出发,讨论了安徽境内区域地震的应力场分布特点。在与华北地区的应力场方向检验结果的基础上,认为:本省北纬32。以北地区的应力场分布具有华北块体的特点;而北纬32°以南的中南部地区已具有华北块体向华南块体过渡地区的应力场分布特点,而皖南地区已属于华南应力场的范畴。上述分布特点为划定华北块体的南边界提供了应力场方面的依据  相似文献

The Loess Plateau in China constitutes an important source area for both water and sediments to the Yellow River. Thus, improved prediction techniques of rainfall may lead to better estimation of discharge and sediment content for the Yellow River. Consequently, the objective of this study was to establish better links between rainfall of the Loess Plateau in China and sea surface temperature (SST) in the Pacific Ocean. Results showed that there is a strong lagged correlation between and SST and rainfall. The SST for Micronesia and areas south of the Aleutian Islands showed significant correlations (s.f. < 0·001; 99·9%) with rainfall over the dryer region of the Loess Plateau for a lag of 4 to 6 months. The SST over the equator on the east Pacific Ocean also showed significant negative correlation with rainfall. Low and middle latitude areas (S10–20° and around 30° ) of the south‐east Pacific Ocean displayed significant positive and negative correlation with rainfall on the semiarid Loess Plateau. The differenced SST values (positive SST minus negative SST) increased these correlations with rainfall. An artificial neural network (ANN) model was used to predict summer rainfall from the differenced SST during the spring period. The correlation between predicted and observed monthly rainfall was in general larger than 0·7. Shanxi Graben is in the middle part of the North China Craton, from south to north. With the teleseismic data recorded by Regional Seismograph Networks and the temporary ZBnet-W Seismic Array around east part of Shanxi Graben, we measured the crustal thickness and vP/vS ratio beneath each station using the H-κ stack of receiver functions. The observed crustal thickness shows obvious lateral variation, increasing gradually from east to west in the Shanxi Graben. Beneath the Shanxi Graben the crust is relatively thicker than both sides of the south and the north. In addition, the vP/vS ratio in the north of study zone is higher than that in the south. The highest vP/vS ratio exists in the crust of the Xinding basin and the Datong basin. Our study also suggests that high velocity ratio might result from the strong activities of the magmation and volcanism.  相似文献

Using the 12 deep focus teleseismic P waveforms recorded by 6 short-period seismographs in east Guangdong and Fujian region of China as the observed data, synthetic P waveforms comparable to the observed ones are obtained by gradually adjusting the crust-mantle model and calculating the corresponding synthetic seismograms. The results suggest that the crust-mantle structure in this region is a vertically straticulate media structure consisting of 3 pairs of thin layers with a high- and low-velocity alternation. The crustal thickness tends to increase gradually from south to north, being 31.5 km in the south and 32.4 km in the north. Finally, the suggested model is tested using the explosive data of Yunfu, Guangdong Province. The theoretical travel-time of P waves agrees fairly well with the observed travel-time. 东平湖是国家南水北调东线工程的重要枢纽.但近年来,东平湖菹草(Potamogeton crispus L.)大量繁殖引起河道阻塞、鱼类死亡等事件频发,导致湖区面临很多生态风险.为维护区域生态安全,迫切需要了解菹草群落在东平湖的时空演变特征及驱动因素.利用MODIS植被指数时序数据结合野外调研,建立菹草群落独特的物候曲线,并结合Landsat数据进行了1985-2017年东平湖菹草识别分析.结果表明:32年间菹草群落不断扩张,生境由1991年前零星分布于湖岸发展到2013年蔓延至全湖且连片式分布.菹草群落的增长分为3个阶段:1996年之前,面积增长缓慢,1996年其面积仅10.34 km2;1996-2001年菹草呈暴发式增长,菹草变为区域优势种;2001-2017年,菹草面积继续增长,到2017年达49.07 km2,约占湖区水域面积的40%.经Spearman秩相关分析,菹草面积与湖水营养化水平显著正相关.南水北调东线工程的通水虽使水质有所改善,但东平湖菹草群落仍呈增长态势,应引起足够重视.  相似文献

Benthic diatoms of an Alpine stream/lake network in Switzerland   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We compared the benthic diatom composition of lakes, and lake inlet and outlet streams in a high elevation catchment (∼2600 m a.s.l.) in the Swiss Alps. The catchment consisted of a southern basin mostly fed by glacial-melt water and a northern basin fed by snowmelt and groundwater. Streams in both basins flowed through a series of small lakes before converging into a lake with a primary outlet channel. The south basin had on average 4°C cooler water temperatures and 2× higher nitrate-N levels (up to 300 μg/L) than the north basin. In contrast, the north basin had higher levels (2–4×) of particulate-P, particulate-N, and particulate organic matter than the south basin. A total of 109 and 143 diatom species was identified in lakes and streams, respectively, with a similar number of species found in each basin. Aulacoseira alpigena and Achnanthidium minutissimum were common benthic algae in north basin lakes, whereas Achnanthes subatomoides, Achnanthes marginulata, Pinnularia microstauron, and Psammothidium helveticum were most common in south basin lakes. One disconnected lake in the north basin had an assemblage dominated by Tabellaria flocculosa (66%) and Eunotia tenella (14%). Principal components analysis showed a clear separation between the north and south basins in lotic diatoms. Of the 10 most common species, streams in the south basin had greater abundances of Psammothidium helveticum, Achnanthes helvetica var. minor, Achnanthes marginulata, Achnanthes subatomoides, and Diatoma mesodon than the north basin, whereas north basin streams had higher abundances of Achnanthidium minutissimum, Aulacoseira alpigena, and Luticola goeppertiana. Lake outlet assemblages were similar to respective downstream lake inlet assemblages, and assemblages changed in composition along each basins longitudinal flow path. However, Aulacoseira alpigena had higher average abundances in north basin outlets than inlets, and Achnanthidium minutissimum, Psammothidium helveticum, and Achnanthes helvetica var. minor had higher average abundances in south basin outlets than inlets. In contrast, Diatoma mesodon, Fragilaria capucina, and Gomphonema parvulum had higher average abundances in south basin inlets than outlets. The spatial patterns in species composition reflected the hierarchical interaction of landscape features (geology, hydrology) on longitudinal gradients (lake position) in the stream/lake network.  相似文献

The research of the information dimension (D 1) in an active fault zone considers the contribution of each seismic event to information and reflects the characteristics of the temporal and spatial distributions of earthquakes from a new point of view, avoiding some short-comings of the research about the capacity dimension (D 0). The results of calculation show that the information dimension of the temporal distribution in Xianshuihe active fault zone before Luhuo large earthquake isD 1=0.1051. It is a consult creterion of large earthquakes in future in the fault zone. The information dimensions of the temporal distribution of the earthquakes in Anninghe active fault zone are respectivelyD 1(t N)=0.1363 (for the north section) andD 1(t S)=0.06710 (for the south section). The information dimensions of the spatial distribution are respectivelyD 1(K N)=1.053 (for the north section) andD 1(K S)=0.7758 (for the south section). The north section and the south section belong to two self-similar systems with different information dimensions respectively. The extent of the self-organization of seismic activity in the south section is higher than that in the north section. This is helpful for us to judge the major dangerous section in the key region of the seismic monitoring. The research about the information dimension of the temporal and the spatial distributions of earthquakes is significant for the exploration of active fault zones and seismic prediction. The method of measuring the pore pressure of stratum fluid in deep bore-holes is presented. Taking the sedimentary basins in North China as an example, the variation law of pore pressure measured in strata within the depth range of 0 to 4 km is analyzed. Furthermore, the relation between the regional distribution of abnormal pore pressures in 3 000 m depth and seismic activities is discussed in connection with the earthquakes of M S5.0 that occurred after 1 900 in the studied region. The study result indicates that the strata pore pressure P 0 measured in deep bore-holes is not exactly the same as the hydrostatic pressure PH. Ultra pore pressure does exist, though not commonly. The relation that the pore pressures (P 01, P 02 and P 03) measured in exploration, evaluation and exploitation wells in Oil-fields and the hydrostatic pressuree (P H) of the above wells is as follows: 1 P 01>P 02>P H>P 03 in areas with ultra pore pressures; 2 P H>P 01>P 02>P 03 in areas where the pore pressures are normal or on the lower side. The relation between the regional distribution of ultra pore pressures and the activity of earthquakes of M S5.0 has been analyzed. The result shows that, with latitudes 36.0°–36.5°N as a demarcation, pore pressures are ultra-high in the south and are normal or lower in the north. In the south, the measured pore pressure is obviously higher than the hydrostatic pressure below the depth of about 2 000 m and it increases as a power function with increasing depth; meanwhile, the earthquake activity there is weaker. In the north, however, the measured pore pressure increases as a linear function with increasing depth; meanwhile, the earthquake activity there is stronger. A regional assessment of the arsenic (As) contamination scenario in shallow tube wells (depth < 150 m) of western Bangladesh is presented. Comparisons are made in light of bulk geological differences (Pleistocene versus Holocene deposits/northwest versus southwest) and As measurement protocols (field kit (FK) versus atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS)). Our As database comprised the following: (1) the nationwide As survey completed in 1999 by the British Geological Survey in collaboration with the Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE); and (2) a regional As survey conducted in southwest Bangladesh by the Japan International Cooperation Agency in collaboration with DPHE in 2002. First, we characterize the error structure of the semi‐quantitative FK As measurements using collocated AAS As measurements as reference from a set of 307 wells located in southwest Bangladesh. The depth distribution of As is identified using a very dense cluster of 2963 wells over a 560 km2 domain. The probability of the FK method for successful detection of a well sample as unsafe (safe) was found to be 96·9% (34·1%) and 95·2% (80·3%) for the World Health Organization (WHO) and Bangladesh safe limits, respectively. Similarly, the probability of false alarms and false hopes for WHO (Bangladesh) safe limits were found to be 3·1% (4·8%) and 87·5% (19·7%), respectively. The depth at which the highest fraction of wells exceeding a given safe limit occurred could still be inferred correctly by FK measurements. A simple bias adjustment procedure on FK As data did not result in a more accurate characterization of depth distribution of As. This indicated that simple error statistics are inadequate for advancing the utility of FKs; rather, an understanding of the complex and multidimensional error structure is required. Regional anisotropy in the spatial dependence of As for the northwest was found to be stronger than the southwest. The correlation length for As concentration in the east–west direction of northwest Bangladesh (i.e. across major river floodplains) was found to be almost twice (158·80 km) that of the north–south direction (along the major axis of Pleistocene deposits) (78·21 km). For the southwest region, the ratio of east–west to north–south correlation lengths ranged from 1·40 to 1·51. For the northwest region, because it is well known to have the lowest concentrations of As countrywide, knowledge of this anisotropy appears to suggest the need for drilling twice as many remediation deep wells in the proximity of an unsafe shallow well in the north–south direction than in the east–west direction. Findings from this study are potentially useful in setting priority areas for emergency testing, distributing remediation resources equitably and formulating a regional water resources strategy for western Bangladesh. Deep water originating in the North Atlantic is transported across the Antarctic Circumpolar Current by eddies and, after circumnavigating of the Antarctic, enters the Weddell Gyre south of Africa. As it does so, it rises up from mid-depth towards the surface. The separate temperature and salinity maxima, the Upper and Lower Circumpolar Deep Waters, converge to form the Warm Deep Water. Cores of this water mass on the southern flank of the eastern Weddell Gyre show a change in characteristic as they flow westward in the Lazarev Sea. Observations have been made along four meridional sections at 3° E, 0°, 3° W and 6° W between 60 and 70° S during the Polarstern Cruise ANTXXIII/2 in 2005/2006. These show that a heterogeneous series of warm and salty cores entering the region from the east both north and south of Maud Rise (65° S, 3° W) gradually merge and become more homogeneous towards the west. The gradual reduction in the variance of potential temperature on isopycnals is indicative of isopycnic mixing processes. A multiple regression technique allows diagnosis of the eddy diffusivities and, thus, the relative importance of isopycnic and diapycnic mixing. The method shows that the isopycnic diffusivity lies in the range 70–140 m2 s−1 and the diapycnic diffusivity reaches about 3 × 10−6 m2 s−1. Scale analysis suggests that isopycnic diffusion dominates over diapycnic diffusion in the erosion of the Warm Deep Water cores.  相似文献

Shear-wave splitting parameters of 24 stations in southeastern Capital area of North China (38.5°N~39.85°N, 115.5°E ~118.5°E) are obtained with systematic analysis method of shear-wave splitting (SAM) based on the data recorded by Capital Area Seismograph Network (CASN) from 2002 to 2005. The results show that the average polarization of fast shear-wave in southeastern Capital area is consistent with regional maximum horizontal prin- cipal compressive stress in the area, and is also consistent with maximum horizontal principal compressive strain from GPS in North China. The average shear-wave splitting in southeastern Capital area (in basin) is different from that in northwestern Capital area where uplifts and basin exist, which means that tectonics can be related to shear-wave splitting results. Research also shows that the distribution of faults around stations can obviously affect the shear-wave splitting results, and complicated distribution of faults can result in much more scatter of shear-wave splitting. Moreover, in the north and south of the studied area (southeastern Capital area), the polariza- tions of fast shear-wave are not very consistent, which may be related to differences in tectonic and stress for the two areas.  相似文献
