On the basis of GC–MS analysis, a suite of nine coal-measure source rocks (Ro 0.51%–0.63%) from the southern margin of Junggar basin was found to contain many biomarkers for bacterially-generated hydrocarbons: hopane, sesquiterpene, C23+ monomethyl alkanes (even carbon predominance), and C24+ alkyl cyclohexane. Rock–eval and microscope analysis indicate that vitrinite (especially desmocollinite and homocollinite) plays a significant role in the generation of hydrocarbons in coal-measure source rocks. Vitrinite performs this role by absorbing ultramicroscopic organic matter, generally in the form of resins or bacterial plastids. C23+ monomethyl alkanes (even carbon predominance) and C24+ alkyl cyclohexane series compounds are derived from bacterial metabolites of higher plants. The ultramicro organic matter adsorbed by vitrinite source rocks in the study area is probably ultramicro bacterial plastids. Because the organic matter of higher plants with low hydrogen content has been transformed into organic matter rich in hydrogen by bacteria, the hydrocarbon generation capacity of source rocks is greatly improved. In other words, in coal-measure source rocks, bacteria play an important role in hydrocarbon generation.

A combined Lu-Hf and U-Th-Pb isotopic study was made of 25 zircons and 2 whole rocks from the late Archean crust (2,888-2,668 Ma) in the southern Superior Province, Canada. The relative abundances of U, Th, Lu and Hf in zircons from the low grade Michipicoten and Gamitagama greenstone belts show variable patterns which in part reflect the bulk compositional differences of their parent rocks. Zircons from the high grade lower crustal regions adjacent to these belts (Kapuskasing Structural Zone) are distinguished from the low grade zircons by their strong depletions of Lu and Hf. The low Hf contents imply that the growth of metamorphic zircon involves a significant fractionation of the Zr/Hf ratio.Initial Hf isotope ratios for Hf in zircons from the low grade rocks are correlated with silica enrichment of their host rocks. e Hf varies from +9.2 to –1.3 and data from similar rock types exhibit correlations of e Hf with time. Whole rock basalt analyses yield e Hf values of +8.7 and +11.3 suggesting their derivation from a depleted mantle. The basalt data fall on an evolution trend which implies that differentiation from a chondritic mantle occurred at 3,100-2,900 Ma. Low e Hf values (–1.3 to +1.4) for rhyolites and granites are consistent with a derivation involving remelting of old crust similar to a 2,888 Ma granite with e HF of +0.5. Significantly higher values (+1.4 to +3.9) are found in zircons from 2,748-2,682 Ma dacites and tonalites suggesting that their parent rocks had higher Lu/Hf ratios. This may indicate that their parent rocks were mafic. However, there is some evidence that the possible lower crustal source reservoirs of these rocks may have undergone processes early in their histories which increased their Lu/ Hf ratios. This would give rise to the higher e Hf values observed in their derivatives.  相似文献

Graphite-bearing rocks and graphites from the Precambrian metamorphic sequence of the Pestpaksha ore occurrence, Murmansk district, have been studied by the X-ray method. It was determined that the rocks have a complex polycomponent composition. Graphite is associated with garnet-quartz, pyroxene-amphibole, and biotite-quartz with an admixture of pyrrhotite, kyanite, chlorite, and other minerals. In terms of mineral composition, the studied samples are subdivided into five groups. The structural characteristics of graphite—parameters a 0 and c 0, the degree of structural perfection (U), the content of rhombohedral phase (R), and others—were found to be different for each group. The U value varies from 1.04 to 1.56 (with predominant values from 1.4 to 1.5), while the content of rhombohedral phase in samples is no more than 18%. This fact indicates a relatively high 3D order, which is typical of graphites from metamorphic rocks. Graphites from metasomatites have the lowest U value, while those from weathering zones are characterized by a small value of the coherent scattering domain (CSD). It was established that interplanar spacing d 002 of graphite correlates with depth, while the degree of ductility and flexibility of the graphite is defined by conditions of its retrograde metamorphism.  相似文献

We undertook zircon U-Pb dating and geochemical analyses of volcanic rocks from the Manitu Formation in the Hongol area,northeastern Inner Mongolia,to determine their age,petrogenesis and sources,which are important for understanding the Late Mesozoic tectonic evolution of the Great Xing'an Range.The volcanic rocks of the Manitu Formation from the Hongol area consist primarily of trachyandesite,based on their chemical compositions.The zircons from two of these trachyandesites are euhedral-subhedral in shape,display clear oscillatory growth zoning and have high Th/U ratios(0.31-1.15),indicating a magmatic origin.The results of LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating indicate that the volcanic rocks from the Manitu Formation in the Hongol area formed during the early Early Cretaceous with ages of 138.9-140.5 Ma.The volcanic rocks are high in alkali(Na_2O + K_2O = 6.22-8.26 wt%),potassium(K_2O = 2.49-4.58 wt%) and aluminium(Al_2O_3 = 14.27-15.88 wt%),whereas they are low in iron(total Fe_2O_3 = 3.76-6.53 wt%) and titanium(TiO_2 = 1.02-1.61 wt%).These volcanic rocks are obviously enriched in large ion lithophile elements,such as Rb,Ba,Th and U,and light rare earth elements,and are depleted in high field strength elements,such as Nb,Ta and Ti with pronounced negative anomalies.Their Sr-Nd-Pb isotopic compositions show positive ε_(Nd)(t)(+0.16‰ to+1.64‰) and low T_(DM)(t)(694-767 Ma).The geochemical characteristics of these volcanic rocks suggest that they belong to a shoshonitic series and were likely generated from the partial melting of an enriched lithospheric mantle that was metasomatised by fluids released from a subducted slab during the closure of the MongolOkhotsk Ocean.Elemental and isotopic features reveal that fractional crystallization with the removal of ferromagnesian minerals,plagioclase,ilmenite,magnetite and apatite played an important role during the evolution of the magma.These shoshonitic rocks were produced by the partial melting of the enriched lithospheric mantle in an extensional regime,which resulted from the gravitational collapse following the final closure of the Mongol-Okhotsk Ocean in the Middle-Late Jurassic.  相似文献

在东昆仑山脉西段祁漫塔格山中东部的尕林格南地区发育一套火山岩,调查显示火山活动爆发相→溢流相相间的韵律周期较明显,见由玄武质含火山角砾凝灰岩→玄武岩、玄武质凝灰岩→安山岩、安山质角砾凝灰岩→安山岩,以及安山质含火山角砾凝灰岩和安山岩质凝灰岩→玄武岩组成的4个韵律。根据研究区安山质火山角砾凝灰岩的LA-ICP-MS锆石U-Pb年龄222.2±2.1Ma,将该火山岩地层由前人划分的顶志留统—下泥盆统契盖苏组火山岩段重新厘定为上三叠统鄂拉山组。岩石地球化学研究结果表明,该套火山岩属于亚碱性钙碱性系列岩石,具有富钾、同源岩浆演化的特点,并具弧火山岩和碰撞火山岩的地球化学特征,为陆内造山作用下的产物,较好地记录了东昆仑祁漫塔格造山带在晚三叠世岩浆演化的地质信息。  相似文献

Graphitization of dispersed carbonaceous material in metamorphic rocks   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Dispersed carbonaceous material concentrated from some New Zealand and Japanese metamorphic rocks has been analysed by X-ray and electron diffraction methods. A classification to describe sub-graphitic material (graphite-d) is proposed. Progressive graphitization is related to metamorphic grade as conventionally defined by mineral assemblages. Thus carbonaceous material in zeolite facies rocks as well as some lawsonite-albite-chlorite facies rocks is nearly amorphous (graphite-d 3); material from slightly higher grade rocks of the lawsonite-albite-chlorite, pumpellyite-actinolite, greenschist, and blueschist facies show a more advanced degree of crystallinity (graphite-d 2,-d 1). Fully-ordered graphite is first recognized in albite-epidote amphibolite and amphibolite facies rocks.X-ray diffraction data are also presented for New Zealand coals of known rank. Lignite and high volatile bituminous coal samples yield graphite -d 3 patterns. A low volatile bituminous sample is transitional between graphite-d 2 and -d 3, while a semi-anthracite sample is graphite-d 2.Analysis of X-ray and electron diffraction data permits some understanding of the structure of sub-graphitic materials. It is shown that peak broadening may be produced by structural variations within a given sample, and for this reason the estimation of crystallite size solely on the basis of diffractograms should be regarded with caution.The controls of graphitization are discussed and it is tentatively concluded that graphitization is primarily dependent upon metamorphic temperature; pressure and variation in starting material presumably constitute secondary controls. Under metamorphic conditions, true graphite probably forms above 400° C.  相似文献

依据烃源岩地球化学实验手段和油气地化理论,对辽东湾地区辽中凹陷东营组东二下段(Ed2-1)和东三段(Ed3)地层进行了有机地化分析。在实验获取总有机碳(TOC)、生烃潜量(S1+S2)、氢指数(IH)、氢碳比(H/C)、氧碳比(O/C)、最大热解峰温(Tmax)、镜质体反射率(Ro)等有机地化参数的基础上,对有机质丰度、类型、成熟度等进行了系统分析,同时对东营组烃源岩进行了综合评价。研究表明,东二下段S1+S2集中在0~3 mg/g,TOC集中在0%~1.5%;东三段S1+S2集中分布在4~9 mg/g之间,TOC集中分布在1%~1.25%。东二下段有机质类型主要是III型,东三段有机质类型为II1、II2型。东二下段Ro0.5,东三段Ro0.5,并且随着深度的增加东三段烃源岩Ro相应的增加。Tmax随着深度的增加呈现出先增加后减少的异常现象,该种异常现象出现的原因与烃源岩有机质类型和有机质丰度之间存在很大关联。  相似文献

An infrared routine has been developed to estimate the aliphatic portion of kerogen carbon in sedimentary rocks. The procedure does not require isolation of the organic matter and is based on a computer-assisted determination of global band areas in the region of the aliphatic carbon-hydrogen stretching vibrations around 2900cm−1. From these integrated absorptions the amount of aliphatic carbon Cal (mg of aliphatic carbon per gram of solvent-extracted rock) is calculated by means of a calibration with model rocks. Carbonate overtones which interfere in the case of limestones are eliminated by comparison to a CaCO3 standard.The method has been applied to rocks containing kerogens of different types and maturities at TOC levels of 0.5 to 12%. The aliphatic carbon concentrations range from 0.5 to 60mg·g−1 and correlate reasonably well with the residual genetic potentials of the rocks as measured by S2 values from Rock-Eval pyrolysis. The ratio S2/Cal is found to decrease with burial depth reflecting a maturity enhanced conversion of aliphatic carbon to fixed aromatic carbon under Rock-Eval conditions.  相似文献

A method was developed for the determination of low‐level rare earth elements (REEs) and thorium in ultramafic samples by inductively coupled plasma‐mass spectrometry. The conventional method for the digestion of ultramafic rocks using HNO3 and HF results in considerable amounts of insoluble fluorides because of the high contents of Mg (generally up to 24% m/m) in these rocks. In this study, we used H3BO3 as a complexing agent to break down the insoluble fluorides, and then separated the REEs from Fe and Mg major and Ba, Ca, Cr minor matrices by anion exchange and co‐precipitation, respectively. The whole procedural blanks estimated from sample‐free analyses ranged from 0.232 ng for Ce to 0.006 ng for Tm and Lu. Limits of detection for this method, defined as three times the standard deviation of these blank analyses, varied from 0.51 ng g?1 for Ce to 0.03 ng g?1 for Lu. The recovery of REEs using this technique, as determined using the standard addition method, ranged from 92.9% for Y to 102.0% for Er with 3% (RSD) variation. The method was validated using GAS (GeoPT‐12), JP‐1 and PCC‐1, and the results were comparable to literature values, elucidating the applicability to the determination of ultra trace REEs in ultramafic rocks.  相似文献

Precise in situ zircon U-Pb dating and Lu–Hf isotopic measurement using an LA-ICP-MS system, whole-rock major and trace element geochemistry and Sr–Nd isotope geochemistry were conducted on the volcanic host rocks of the Tongyu copper deposit on the basis of further understanding of its geological characteristics. Three zircon samples from the volcanic host rocks yielded 206Pb/238 U weighted average ages ranging from 436±4 Ma to 440±5 Ma, which are statistically indistinguishable and coeval with the ca. 440 Ma northward subduction event of the Paleo-Qinling oceanic slab. The volcanic host rocks were products of magmatic differentiation that evolved from basalt to andesite to dacite to rhyolite, forming an integrated tholeiitic island arc volcanic rock suite. The primitive mantle-normalized trace element patterns for most samples show characteristics of island arc volcanic rocks, such as relative enrichment of LILE(e.g. Th, U, Pb and La) and depletion of HFSE(e.g. Nb, Ta, Ti, Zr and Hf). Discrimination diagrams of Ta/Yb vs Th/Yb, Ta vs Th, Yb vs Th/Ta, Ta/Hf vs Th/Hf, Hf/3 vs Th vs Nb/16, La vs La/Nb and Nb vs Nb/Th all suggest that both the volcanic host rocks from the Tongyu copper deposit and the volcanic rocks from the regional Xieyuguan Group were formed in an island arc environment related to subduction of an oceanic slab. Values of ISr(0.703457 to 0.708218) and εNd(t)(-2 to 5.8) indicate that the source materials of volcanic rocks from the Tongyu copper deposit and the Xieyuguan Group originated from the metasomatised mantle wedge with possible crustal material assimilation. Most of the volcanic rock samples show good agreement with the values of typical island arc volcanic rocks in the ISr-εNd(t) diagram. The involvement of crustal-derived material in the magma of the volcanic rocks from the Tongyu copper deposit was also reflected in the zircon εHf(t) values, which range from-3.08 to 10.7, and the existence of inherited ancient xenocrystic zircon cores(2616±39 Ma and 1297±22 Ma). The mineralization of the Tongyu copper deposit shows syn-volcanic characteristics such as layered orebodies interbedded with the volcanic rock strata, thus, the zircon U-Pb age of the volcanic host rocks can approximately represent the mineralization age of the Tongyu copper deposit. Both the Meigou pluton and the volcanic host rocks were formed during the ca. 440 Ma northward subduction of the Paleo-Qinling Ocean when high oxygen fugacity aqueous hydrothermal fluid released by dehydration of the slab and the overlying sediments fluxed into the mantle wedge, triggered partial melting of the mantle wedge, and activated and extracted Cu and other ore-forming elements. The magma and ore-bearing fluid upwelled and erupted, and consequently formed the island arc volcanic rock suite and the Tongyu VHMS-type copper deposit.  相似文献

Permian and post-Permian igneous rocks of the southern Sydney Basin of New South Wales can be distinguished on the basis of major-element geochemistry. A data base of 102 analyses of these igneous rocks has been used to evaluate the effectiveness of various discriminants based on univariate and multivariate analysis. Inspection of histograms of compositional frequency for each major-element oxide is an efficient method of univariate analysis and assigns up to 92.2% of the rocks to the correct age group. Discriminant function analysis using up to 10 variables does not produce a more efficient discriminant than the simple binary plot of SiO 2 versus TiO 2,which assigns 95.1% of the rocks to the correct age group. No other binary or ternary diagram commonly used in petrology produces such an efficient discriminator.  相似文献

The Western Depression of the Liaohe Basin is the major exploration area of the Liaohe Oilfield, and its main source rocks consist of the third and fourth members of the Shahejie Formation (Es3 and Es4). These source rocks are widely distributed in the depression, with semi-deep lake and fan delta as the main sedimentary facies, brown oil shale and black gray-dark gray mudstone as the main rocks, and a total thickness of 270-1450 m. The kerogens are mainly of the types I and IIA, and partly of the type IIB and least of the type III. The Ro values range from 0.4%-0.8%, indicating an evolution stage from immature to mature. The maturity of Es4 source rocks is rela-tively high, reaching the early mature stage, but their distribution and thickness are lower than those of Es3. Besides, according to biomarker analysis, it is thought that the source rocks of Es3 and Es4 are characterized by mixed input, and most of the source rocks were formed in the brackish water-saline and strongly oxygen-free environment. Fur-thermore, the Qingshui, Niuxintuo and Chenjia sags are believed to possess greater potential for hydrocarbon gen-eration and expulsion, for they are source rocks with a larger thickness, have higher organic carbon contents, belong to better organic matter types and possess higher maturities.  相似文献

Organic inclusions from the Shahejie Formation of the Eogene period in the Bohai Gulf Basin,eastern China,were examined using micro-FT.IR and fluorescence microscopy in addition to the measurement of their homogenization temperatures(Th).Two populations of organic inclusions were recognized,the primary and the secondary organic inclusions.The primary organic inclusions contain organic materials with relatively long alkyl chains(the carbon atom number is 15 to 17),whereas the secondary organic inclusions contain a certain amount of H2S besides organic materials which have relatively short alkyl chains with the carbon atom number of 5 to 6.The Th values of the primary organic inclusions within the rage of 87-91℃,lower than those of the secondary organic inclusions(Th=98-105℃),sugesting that the primary organic inclusions experienced a lower degree of thermal evolution than the secondary inclusions.This inference is consistent with the fluorescence spectroscopic characteristics and parameters(Tmax,Q values)of the organic inclusions.Data from the organic inclusions together with the petroleum geology setting revealed that the primary inclusions resulted from the migration of hydrocarbons generated within the strata they are hosted,whereas the secondary organic inclusions were trapped in the process of secondary hydrocarbons expelled out of the source rocks to the locations where they were accumulated.The thermal properties of the organic inclusions are consistent with the maturation of the oil generated from the Shahejie Formation.The abundance of the organic inclusions and their characteristics indicate that the member Es3 of the Shaheije Formation is highly potential for oil accumulation.The results could provide essential coues to petroleum exploration in the Bohai Gulf Basic.  相似文献

Sapphirine-kornerupine-bearing rocks from the Reynolds Range, Northern Territory, Australia preserve spectacular metamorphic reaction textures that provide valuable insights into the regional metamorphic uplift history. The rocks occur in pods that are several meters in diameter within high-temperature, low-pressure (750 to 800°C and 4 to 5 kbar) granulite facies exposures of the early Proterozoic Lander Rock beds, a laterally extensive sequence of folded pelitic and quartzose metasediments. The pods are not associated with large volumes of partial melts and are likely to have formed by metasomatism near the peak of M2 metamorphism. The rocks in the pods consist of high-temperature Mg- and Al-rich minerals such as boron-free korneurpine, and are coarse-grained (0.5 to >15 cm), non-foliated, and locally nearly monomineralic. The growth of the coarse minerals in the pods largely post-dated the high-grade regional metamorphic D2 fabric and completely reconstructed the precursor rocks. The retrograde metamorphic reaction textures show that the early retrogression from the M2 granulite facies conditions was characterized not by isobaric cooling as previously proposed, but by nearly isthermal decompression. These data imply that the Reynolds Range did not follow a simple anticlockwise P-T-t path. Because rocks such as these preserve information from a only restricted portion of the metamorphic history and can preserve evidence of decompression reactions more clearly than many more ordinary lithologies, they can be especially important for discerning metamorphic P-T-t paths.This paper is a contribution to IGCP Project 304, Lower Crustal Processes.  相似文献

为确定罕庙地区石英二长闪长岩的形成时代、成因及地质意义,对罕庙地区石英二长闪长岩体进行了岩相学、LA-MC-ICP-MS锆石U-Pb年龄及地球化学研究。结果表明,石英二长闪长岩中的锆石为岩浆成因,~(206)Pb/~(238)U年龄加权平均值为134±1Ma,侵入时代属于早白垩世晚期。石英二长闪长岩中SiO_2含量为63.44%~68.96%,K_2O含量为2.04%~3.84%,Na_2O/K_2O值介于0.47~1.17之间,铝饱和指数A/CNK介于2.12~2.55之间,属于钙碱性-高钾钙碱性过铝质花岗岩类。微量元素特征为富集大离子亲石元素(如Rb、K)和活泼不相容元素(如Th、U),强烈亏损高场强元素(如Nb、Ta、P、Ti)。结合区域构造演化背景,该岩体受俯冲流体改造,与早白垩世晚期古太平洋板块斜向俯冲于欧亚大陆之下的弧后伸展减薄等综合作用有关。  相似文献

The middle segment of the northern margin of the North China Craton (NCC) consists mainly of metamorphosed Archean Dantazi Complex, Paleoproterozoic Hongqiyingzi Complex and unmetamorphosed gabbro-anorthosite-meta-alkaline granite, as well as metamorphosed Late Paleozoic mafic to granitoid rocks in the Damiao-Changshaoying area. The -2.49 Ga Dantazi Complex comprises dioritic-trondhjemitic-granodoritic-monzogranitic gneisses metamorphosed in amphibolite to granulite facies. Petrochemical characteristics reveal that most of the rocks belong to a medium- to high-potassium calc-alkaline series, and display Mg^# less than 40, right-declined REE patterns with no to obviously positive Eu anomalies, evidently negative Th, Nb, Ta and Ti anomalies in primitive mantlenormalized spider diagrams, εNd(t)=+0.65 to -0.03, and depleted mantle model ages TDM=2.78-2.71 Ga. Study in petrogenesis indicates that the rocks were formed from magmatic mixing between mafic magma from the depleted mantle and granitoid magma from partial melting of recycled crustal mafic rocks in a continental margin setting. The 2.44-2.41 Ga Hongqiyingzi Complex is dominated by metamorphic mafic-granodioritic-monzogranitic gneisses, displaying similar petrochemical features to the Dantazi Complex, namely medium to high potassium calc-alkaline series, and the mafic rocks show evident change in LILEs, negative Th, Nb, Ta, Zr anomalies and positive P anomalies. And the other granitiod samples also exhibit negative Th, Nb, Ta, P and Ti anomalies. All rocks in the Hongqiyingzi Complex show right-declined REE patterns without Eu anomaly. The metamorphic mafic rocks with εNd(t) = -1.64 may not be an identical magmatic evolution series with granitoids that have εNd(t) values of +3.19 to +1.94 and TDM ages of 2.55-2.52 Ga. These granitic rocks originated from hybrid between mafic magma from the depleted mantle and magma from partial melting of juvenile crustal mafic rocks in an island arc setting. All the -311 Ma Late Paleozoic metamorphic mafic rocks and related granitic rocks show a medium-potassium calc-alkaline magmatic evolution series, characterized by high Mg^#, obviously negative Th, Nb, Ta anomalies and positive Sr anomalies, from no to strongly negative Ti anomalies and flat REE patterns with εNd(t) = +8.42, implying that the maflc magma was derived from the depleted mantle. However the other granitic rocks are characterized by right-declined REE patterns with no to evidently positive Eu anomalies, significantly low εNd(t) = -13.37 to -14.04, and TDM=1.97-1.96 Ga, revealing that the granitoid magma was derived from hybrid between maflc magma that came from -311 Ma depleted mantle and granitoid magma from Archean to Early Paleoproterozoic ancient crustal recycling. The geochemistry and Nd isotopic characteristics as well as the above geological and geochronological results indicate that the middle segment of the northern margin of the NCC mainly experienced four crustal growth episodes from Archean to Late Paleozoic, which were dominated by three continental marginal arc accretions (-2.49, -2.44 and 311 Ma), except the 1.76-1.68 Ga episode related to post-collisional extension, revealing that the crustal accretion of this segment was chiefly generated from arc accretion and amalgamation to the NCC continental block.  相似文献

过程响应理论是在地球系统科学基础上提出的一种盆地沉积学研究方法,主要包括过程研究和响应研究两个方面,强调盆地演化过程对其沉积过程的控制意义。论文运用过程响应理论对辽河坳陷西部凹陷中北部地区Es4碳酸盐岩进行了研究,取得了很好的效果。研究表明,湖相碳酸盐岩的形成和分布在时间和空间上受湖盆演化过程控制明显,有利的地形和水动力条件、有利的气候和水介质条件、有利的物源和白云岩化条件,这三个关键要素,共同铸就了辽河坳陷西部凹陷中北部地区Es4湖相碳酸盐岩的沉积环境。运用过程响应理论,综合考虑碳酸盐岩沉积作用关键三要素,是建立更具指导作用和更具参考价值的湖相碳酸盐岩综合沉积模式的基础。  相似文献

The Yunmeng Shan metamorphic core complex (MCC) is composed of the lower plate, the upper plate and the detachment zone. The detachment zone consists of ductile shear zone (mylonite zone), chloritized microbreccias zone and the brittle fault plane. The ductile shear zone contains mylonitic rocks, protomylonites, and mylonites. Finite strain measurements of feldspar porphyroclasts from those rocks using the Rf/φ method show that the strain intensities increase from mylonitic rocks (Es=0.66–0.72) to protomylonites (Es=0.66–0.83), and to mylonites (Es=0.71–1.2). Initial Nd and Sr isotopic ratios have been measured for Cretaceous acidic and related intermediate rocks (24 volcanic and two plutonic rocks) from the Inner Zone of Southwest Japan (IZSWJ) to investigate the genesis of acidic magmas. The initial Nd and Sr isotopic ratios for these rocks show three interesting features: (1) Nd values for acidic rocks (+2 to –9) are negatively correlated with Sr values (+10 to +90) together with those for intermediate rocks ( Nd=+3 to -8; Sr=0 to +65). (2) The Nd values for silica rich rocks (>60% SiO2) correlate with the longitude of the sample locality, decreasing from west to east in a stepwise fashion: Four areas characterized by uniform Nd values are discriminated. (3) Low silica rocks (<60% SiO2) in a certain area have distinctly different Nd values from those of the high silica rocks in the same area.These results as well as those deduced from the additional samples collected, for comparison, from other provinces in Japan suggest that the acidic rocks can be formed neither by fractional crystallization processes from more basic magmas nor by crustal assimilation processes. The isotopic variations of the acidic rocks may reflect regional isotopic heterogeneity in the lower crust, and this heterogeneity may ultimately be attributed to the regional heterogeneity of the uppermost-mantle beneath the Japanese Islands.  相似文献

Summary The low-pressure emplacement of a quartz diorite body in the metapelitic rocks of the Gennargentu Igneous Complex (Sardinia, Italy) produced a contact metamorphic aureole and resulted in migmatisation of part of the aureole through partial melting. The leucosome, formed by dehydration melting involving biotite, is characterised by granophyric intergrowth and abundant magnetite crystals. A large portion of the high temperature contact aureole shows petrographic features that are intermediate between quartz diorite and migmatite s.s. (i.e. hybrid rocks). A fluid inclusion study has been performed on quartz crystals from the quartz diorite and related contact aureole rocks, i.e. migmatite sensu stricto (s.s.) and hybrid rocks. Three types of fluid inclusions have been identified: I) monophase V inclusions, II) L + V, either L-rich or V-rich aqueous saline inclusions and III) multiphase V + L + S inclusions. Microthermometric data characterised the trapped fluid as a complex aqueous system varying from H2O–NaCl–CaCl2 in the quartz diorite to H2O–NaCl–CaCl2–FeCl2 in the migmatite and hybrid rocks. Fluid salinities range from high saline fluids (50 wt% NaCl eq.) to almost pure aqueous fluid. Liquid-vapour homogenisation temperatures range from 100 to over 400 °C with an average peak around 300 °C. Temperatures of melting of daughter minerals are between 300 and 500 °C. Highly saline liquid- and vapour-rich inclusions coexist with melt inclusions and have been interpreted as brine exsolved from the crystallising magma. Fluid inclusion data indicate the formation of fluid of high iron activity during the low-pressure partial melting and a fluid mixing process in the hybrid rocks.  相似文献
