Activities of low-frequency waves in the tropical atmosphere and enso   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
ENSO, particularly the occurrence of ENSO is still an important research object in climatic variation. Using the ECMWF data, the relationship between ENSO and the activities of low-frequency waves in the tropical atmosphere is analyzed in this paper. It is shown that the occurrence of ENSO is closely related to the intraseasonal oscillation and the quasi-stationary waves (the period > 90 days) in the tropical atmosphere. Associated with the occurrence of El Nino event, the kinetic energy of low-frequency waves has obvious variation: the kinetic energy of atmospheric intraseasonal (30–60 days) oscillation (ISO) decreases abruptly and the kinetic energy of quasi-stationary waves increases abruptly. Moreover, the ISO and quasi-stationary waves propagate eastward clearly corresponding to El Nino; but they clearly propagate westward in La Nina cases.  相似文献

用广东省47个测站1954-1990年各月的平均气温、降水、日照时数的标准化资料分别作按时间点分解的主分量分析,取其前6个主分量作为各测站的气候特征量,用相关系数-重心法作聚类分析,作出各月、全年综合要素的气候分区。结果表明:(1)将广东各月分为有较显著差异的5个区,则冬半年(10-翌年4月)各月的分区形式较类似且规律性明显,夏半年(5-9月)各月的分区逐月变化明显,且分区形式差别较大。(2)若用6个自然季节的平均气温、降水、日照时数标准化资料分别作主分量分析,各取前3个主分量作为全年气候分区的特征量,则广东全年的气候区可分为东南沿海、西南沿海、西北内陆3个区。  相似文献

利用NCEP再分析资料,通过统计相关及合成分析研究了热带大气季节内振荡(ISO)的年际变化与ENSO循环之间的关系.结果表明,热带大气季节内振荡(也称30~60天低频振荡)的年际变化在热带中西太平洋地区最强.在ElNino成熟之前的春夏季,热带西太平洋的30~60天振荡异常活跃,其动能明显增加且逐渐东移;在E1Nino成熟以后,热带西太平洋大气30~60天低频振荡迅速减弱.与这种加强的30~60天振荡相伴随,在赤道北侧为异常的气旋式环流,赤道地区出现偏西风异常.相反,在LaNina成熟之前的春夏季,热带西太平洋大气30~60天振荡偏弱.进一步的分析还发现,东亚冬季风的年际变化是引起热带大气30~60天振荡的年际变化的主要机制:强东亚冬季风导致热带西太平洋积云对流加强,从而引起热带西太平洋大气30~60天振荡加强;相反,对应于弱的东亚冬季风,热带西太平洋地区积云对流偏弱,大气30~60天振荡偏弱.作者的资料分析还证实,热带大气30~60天低频振荡的年际变化,作为一种外强迫,对ElNino的形成起着十分重要的作用.  相似文献

The data analyses indicated that the occurrence of EL Nino event is closely related to intraseasonal oscillation (ISO) in the tropical atmosphere: The intraseasonal oscillation is very strong in tile tropics (particularly over the equatorial western Pacific) prior to the occurrence of El Nino; But the ISO is evidently reduced and the quasistationary system is enhanced after the outbreak of El Nino. A simple air-sea coupled model study shows that the periodical self-excited oscillation can be produced in the air-sea-coupled system, but the pattern is different from the observed ENSO mode. When there is external (atmospheric) forcing with interannual time scale, a coupled mode, which looks like the ENSO mode, will be excited in the air-sea system. Synthesizing the results in data analyses and the theoretical investigation. the mechanism of ISO in the tropical atmosphere exciting the El Nino event can be suggested : The interannual anomalies (variations) of the tropical ISO play an important role in the exciting El Nino event through the air-sea interaction.  相似文献

利用ECMWF的格点资料对热带大气季节内振荡作了进一步分析研究,表明热带大气季节内振荡既有Kelvin波型扰动,也有Rossby波型扰动;影响热带大气季节内振荡移动的主要因素有扰动波型和积云对流活动的异常;伴随ElNino事件的发生,热带大气季节内振荡的动能急剧减小,而准定常扰动动能急剧增大,既反映了热带大气季节内振荡对ElNino的激发作用,也说明了在ElNino期间热带大气季节内振荡偏弱的原因。  相似文献

资料分析了表明,热带大气季节内振荡同El Nino发生有密切的关系。在El Nino事件发生之前,热带大气(尤其是赤道西太平洋地区)季节内振荡异常加强;伴随着El Nino的发生,热带大气季节内振荡动能明显增加。简单海-气耦合模式的分析表明,只有在年陵时间尺度大气外强迫作用下,海-气系统才可以产生类似ENSO模的耦合波。资料和理论模式分析和结果相结合,说明热带大气季节内振荡激发El Nino的机制  相似文献

利用美国NCEP资料分析热带大气季节内振荡(ISO)与ENSO的关系,揭示了1997年El Ni o事件的发生,与赤道中西太平洋地区大气 ISO在 1996年冬到 1997年春期间的异常增强有重要关系。而且该地区 ISO的异常增强并不主要由赤道印度洋地区移来,主要表现为ISO在印度尼西亚上空被激发增强和东传。印度尼西亚地区ISO的被激发,则是由于东亚冬季风强异常在该地区引起的强对流活动的结果。  相似文献

The normal mode method is adopted to decompose the differences between simulations with SST(seasurface temperature)anomahes over centra-eastern Pacific and normal SST by use of a nine-layer global spec-tral model in order to investigate short-range climatic oscillation with various time scales forced by ElNino during the northern summer.Investigation shows that El Nino may have the following influence onatmosphere on various space-time scales.Extra-long wave components of Rossby mode forced by convectiveanomaly over equatorial western Pacific resulting from El Nino produce climatic oscillation on monthly(sea-sonal)time scale in middle-high latitudes of Southern and Northern Hemispheres;extra-long wave componentsof Kelvin mode forced by SST anomalies propagate along the equator,resulting in 30—60 day oscillation oftropical and subtropical atmosphere;and its long waves move eastward with westerly,resulting in quasi-biweekoscillation.  相似文献

Based on the ECMWF data(1980-1983) and others, a further inquiry on the activities and the structure feature of 30-60 day oscillation in the tropical atmosphere has been completed. The following results are obtained:There is stronger perturbation kinetic energy of 30-60 day atmospheric oscillation(AO) in the equatorial eastern Pacific. This means the equatorial eastern Pacific is a stronger activity region of 30-60 day AO in the tropics. Analyses also show that the AO system with the time scale of 30-60 days might consist of various spatial scale disturbances. The zonal propagation of 30-60 day oscillation in the tropical atmosphere is not all eastward. Some differences are found for different spatial scales, and for propagations in upper and lower tropospheres. The meridional propagation of the oscillation is even more different in the various regions and might be related to the low-frequency wave train in the atmosphere. The stronger activities of 30-60 day AO in the equatorial middle-western Pacific are related to the El Nino events and the weaker ones are correspondent to the inverse El Nino phenomena.  相似文献

利用外逸长波辐射 (outgoing longwave radiation, OLR) 资料分析了热带对流季内振荡 (ISO) 强度的季节变化及年际异常特征, 重点研究其与海表温度的关系。结果表明:最强的OLR季内振荡主要位于高海表温度 (SST) 区, 即热带印度洋和热带西太平洋区域, 终年存在, 冬、春季最强, 振荡中心偏于夏半球。OLR季内振荡强度年际异常显著区域是热带中东太平洋区域、西北太平洋区域和西南太平洋区域, 它与SST年际异常存在局地正相关关系, 伴随环流的辐合辐散, 并与ENSO事件关系密切。另外, El Ni?o事件发生之前, 热带印度洋和热带西太平区域OLR季内振荡增强, 其中心随事件的发展逐渐东移, 事件发生后这两个区域ISO减弱, 这与OLR季内振荡强度年际异常显著的区域具有内在连贯性。海表温度是决定OLR季内振荡强度季节变化、年际异常的一个关键因子。  相似文献

This study investigates the relationship between summer low-frequency rainfall over southern China and tropical intraseasonal oscillation (ISO) in the atmosphere by examining systematically the propagation features of the tropical ISO in terms of focusing on five large-scale low-frequency rainfall regimes in summer over southern China. It is demonstrated that there is a close linkage between the five rainfall regimes over southern China and the northward propagation of the tropical ISO. The moist ISO signals, which influence the low-frequency rainfall events in different regions of southern China, mainly propagate northwestward from the tropical ocean to the southeast of China. The southeast China rainfall regime is intimately associated with the moist ISO signals propagating northwestward from the equatorial mid-western Pacific Ocean. For both the Yangtze River regime and South of Yangtze River regime, the moist ISO signals over the northern South China Sea show an evident northward propagation towards the Yangtze River region, and then propagate westward. It is further found that the interaction between the northward propagation of low-latitude ISO signals and the southward propagation of high-latitude ISO signals can also make a clear influence on the low-frequency rainfall in southern China. For the Southern China regime, the moist ISO signals show a significant northward propagation from the Philippines. Moreover, for the rainless regime, southern China is under dry ISO signals’ control, and the latter shows no clear propagation to southern China. This study may provide insights for the extended-range forecasting of summer rainfall in southern China.  相似文献

利用外逸长波辐射(OLR)、风场和海表温度(SST)资料, 研究了热带大气季节内振荡(ISO)强度的季节变化特征, 发现热带印度洋和热带西太平洋区域是OLR和风场季内振荡最主要的共同活跃区。对比分析了OLR和风场季内振荡强度与海表温度异常之间的年际异常关系, 发现OLR季内振荡强度异常与海表温度异常之间存在显著局地正相关关系, 即在热带中东太平洋区域、热带西北太平洋区域和热带西南太平洋区域, 当海表温度正(负)异常时, OLR季内振荡增强(减弱),特别在冬春季节这一关系更清楚。除个别区域外, 风场季内振荡强度异常与海表温度异常不存在类似OLR的局地关系。OLR和风场季内振荡强度异常与海表温度异常之间局地和非局地关系的差异, 体现了两种要素特性的本质差异。但两种要素季内振荡强度在El Niño事件发展过程中的变化基本一致, 即在气候场中季内振荡活跃的区域, 事件发生之前季内振荡会增强, 并逐渐向东传播, 事件发生之后这些区域振荡减弱。  相似文献

Summary Based on analysis of ECMWF data (1981–1987) and numerical simulations using a general circulation model (GCM), a quasi-two-week (10–20 day) oscillation in the tropical atmosphere is studied in this paper. It is shown that the kinetic energy of the quasi-two-week oscillation is larger than that of the intraseasonal oscillation, and is another important low-frequency system in the tropical atmosphere. By comparing it with the intraseasonal oscillation, some obvious differences can be found. For example, the zonal scale of the quasi-two-week oscillation is dominated by perturbations with wavenumber 2–4; its vertical structure mainly shows barotropic features; the zonal propagation is basically westward; and its meridional and zonal components the same size.With 10 Figures  相似文献

首先用资料诊断分析了全球变暖前后,热带大气低频振荡特征变化。研究发现,全球变暖前后,热带低频振荡的强度、分布、传播及周期等发生了一系列变化:ISO活跃区及强度范围均有不同程度的增大,气候变暖有缩小ISO强度季节差异趋势;气候变暖后,纬向东传波的大气季节内振荡能量增加,而西传波的能量相对减少;偏暖阶段,ISO振荡主周期相对分散,特别是较长周期的小波能量明显增大。然后利用动力学分析及数值模拟进一步探讨了热带低频振荡与海温的联系,对热带ISO的数值模拟进一步发现,大气模式与海洋模式耦合时,所模拟的热带季节内振荡较强;热带低频振荡的变化可能与全球变暖后海温场发生的变化有关。  相似文献

利用1979—2012年逐日NCEP/DOE再分析资料,分析北半球中纬度冬季(11月1日—4月30日)对流层位势高度的季节内振荡特征。结果表明:对流层上层位势高度的季节内变化强度较中下层更强,中心主要位于太平洋和大西洋上空;对流层上层位势高度场主要为1~3波的超长波形势,功率谱分析结果表明其时间序列呈现显著的季节内振荡(10~60 d)特征;10~60 d滤波的位势高度异常空间分布与原异常场一致,位势高度季节内振荡随时间主要表现为向西传播的特征,尤其表现在北太平洋上空,而亚欧大陆更为复杂一些;亚洲冬季风对北半球中纬度位势高度的季节内振荡有响应,主要表现为蒙古高压位置和强度的异常,继而对我国冬季气温产生影响。  相似文献
