C. B. Watts' charts of the marginal zone of the Moon have been put into the form of tables of rectangular co-ordinates of points along the contours. These co-ordinates were recorded automatically on paper tape and transferred, firstly to a magnetic tape, then secondly to an exchangeable-disc cartridge allowing random access to every chart.  相似文献

For Vinti's dynamical problem, there is proposed a new form of solution wherein all three coordinates are expressed in terms of one independent variable. The formulae for the three co-ordinates are clear generalizations of the corresponding formulae for the Kepler problem while the independent variable corresponds to the true anomaly. The solution is completed by the relation connecting the independent variable with time: the latter is a generalization of the well known Kepler time-angle relationship. From the form and method of solution the main qualitative features of the motion are readily derived.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to present a general method for computation of the geometrical elements of totally eclipsing W UMa (close, or in actual contact) binary systems in the frequency-domain.This method has been done using a new technique (two minima with the improved values of the photometric perturbation effects). The results are compared with the results calculated by different methods, that have used the same observation references.The improved photometric perturbation terms have been discussed and its effects are computed for both (primary and secondary) minima.  相似文献

An expansion of the Hamiltonian for the N-planet problem into a Poisson series using a system of modified (complex) Poincare´ canonical elements in the heliocentric coordinate system is constructed. The Lagrangian and Hamiltonian formalisms are used. The first terms in the expansions of the principal and complementary parts of the disturbing function are presented. Estimates of the number of terms in the presented expansions have been obtained through numerical experiments. A comparison with the results of other authors is made.  相似文献

本文报道了对天文目标:双星ADS16800、ADS16173,三星Hu66(ADS11344)和Hld171(ADS16648)进行的斑点成像观测及测量结果。介绍了所用的二维光子计数斑点像探测系统的性能,分析了探测系统的光子噪声、附加噪声和其它更复杂的噪声对斑点图的平均功率谱和重谱的影响。在讨论了改正重谱中的噪声偏差项时提出了对重谱基底施加正性约束的算法。测量的结果表明,实现了高精度的微射受限天文  相似文献

It was shown in a previous paper, Smith (1975), that the determination of the structure of rotating polytropes by expansion in the small rotational parameter constitutes asingular perturbation problem as arises also, for example, in large Reynolds' number approximations in fluid dynamics. The technique used by him — the method of matched asymptotic expansions — is, in fact, just an extension of the Prandtl boundary layer theory familiar in this latter context. In this paper — the first of two — we introduce an alternative procedure: the method of strained co-ordinates; and for comparison purposes again consider rotating polytropes. In Paper II we extend this approach to differentially rotating stars and present an illustrative example.  相似文献

The Machinga meteorite fell in the Southern Province of Malawi on January 22, 1981, at approximately 1000 hours local time. The fall site is about 7.5 km SW of Machinga and has the co-ordinates 15° 12′44″ S., 35°14′32″ E. A single crusted mass weighing 93.2 kg was recovered. The Machinga meteorite is an L6 chondrite with olivine Fa24.5 and orthopyroxene Fs21.1. The silicates have a granular texture and the stone has been shocked.  相似文献

This paper discusses a method for improving on the numerical evaluation of the light changes exhibited by a distorted eclipsing binary system.In the theory formulated by Kopal (1959), certain boundary integrals due to the distortion of both components have been calculated in terms of the Appell hypergeometric series of the first kind. The values of the four parameters appearing in these series differ according as to whether one is dealing with a partial or an annular eclipse.To accelerate the numerical evaluation of the light changes one should avoid recomputing such infinite series for contiguous values of the parameters. This can be achieved by making use of certain recursion formulae which hold for the foregoing series.We have provided here a procedure that yields forty-eight recursion formulae for the Appell hypergeometric series and have specifically calculated four new independent recursion formulae relevant to the astrophysical problem.  相似文献

Hamiltonian mechanics is applied to the problem of the rotation of the elastic Earth. We first show the process for the formulation of the Hamiltonian for rotation of a deformable body and the derivation of the equations of motion from it. Then, based on a simple model of deformation, the solution is given for the period of Euler motion, UT1 and the nutation of the elastic Earth. In particular it is shown that the elasticity of the Earth acts on the nutation so as to decrease the Oppolzer terms of the nutation of the rigid Earth by about 30 per cent. The solution is in good agreement with results which have been obtained by other, different approaches.  相似文献

The observed values of the time-derivatives of the spin or orbital frequency of pulsars are affected by their dynamical properties. We derive thorough analytical expressions for such dynamical contributions in terms of the Galactic coordinates, the proper motion, the pulsar distance, and the radial velocity. We find that the effects of the dynamical terms in the second-derivative of frequencies or parameters based on such second derivatives, e.g., braking index, are usually negligible. However, unique pulsars for which the effects of the dynamical terms are significant can exist. In particular, dynamical effects can make the magnitude of the observed value of the braking index to be in the order of thousand while the true value of it is close to the theoretically expected value three, especially if the pulsars lie close to the Galactic centre. Dynamics can also affect the value of the second derivative of the orbital frequency of a binary pulsar at the first decimal place. We also emphasize the fact that our expressions provide more accurate results than pre-existing approximate ones that exclude some of the terms. Comparison with a set of pulsars showed that the median value of the difference between the results obtained by our method and a pre-existing method is about 50 percent.  相似文献

Brown's method for solving the main problem of lunar theory has been adapted for the computation by machine with the help of an algebraic processor. Brown's results are first recovered and refined. The solution is then expanded to include most terms of order nine. The terms in the series for the longitude and latitude are listed with an accuracy of 0.000 01 and of 0.000 001 for the parallax.This research was supported in parts by the National Science Foundation grant MCS 78-01425.  相似文献

In this article an approximate analytical integration is performed of the Hamiltonian corresponding to the rotational motion of an Earth whose elastic mantle is deformed by rotation and lunisolar attraction, using Deprit's perturbation method for the first order. Besides the usual terms, this Hamiltonian includes the perturbation of the kinetic energy and the elastic energy produced with the deformation, as well as their causes, the tidal and the centrifugal potential; these new terms have already been studied for the tidal deformation in previous articles (Getino and Ferrándiz, 1990a, 1990b). The effects of the deformation due to the centrifugal potential are studied in this article, following the same method as that used for the tidal deformation. Numerical tables of the periodic perturbations corresponding to the nutation in obliquity and longitude are obtained. As for the secular effects, a theoretical value of 457 days is obtained for Chandler's period.  相似文献

The old programme of observations (cf. Beobachtungsergebnisse 1964 and Astronomische Zeit- und Breitenbestimmungen 1965, 1) was modified. The conditions described in Instruction (1956) were used again. As previously (cf. Beobachtungsergebnisse 1964), the stars were selected in respect of the derivation of corrections to the co-ordinates of the stars. The IceCube Neutrino Observatory has discovered a diffuse all-flavor flux of high-energy astrophysical neutrinos. However, the corresponding astrophysical sources have not yet been identified. Neither significant point sources nor significant angular correlations of event directions have been observed by IceCube or other instruments to date. We present a new method to interpret the non-observation of angular correlations in terms of exclusions on the strength and number of point-like neutrino sources in generic astrophysical scenarios. Additionally, we constrain the presence of these sources taking into account the measurement of the diffuse high-energy neutrino flux by IceCube. We apply the method to two types of astrophysically motivated source count distributions: The first type is obtained by considering the cosmological evolution of the co-moving density of active galaxies, while the second type is directly derived from the gamma ray source count distribution observed by Fermi-LAT. As a result, we constrain the possible parameter space for both types of source count distributions.  相似文献

In this paper, we have studied periodic orbits generated by Lagrangian solutions of the restricted three body problem when more massive body is a source of radiation and the smaller primary is an oblate body. We have determined periodic orbits for fixed values of μ, σ and different values of p and h (μ mass ratio of the two primaries, σ oblate parameter, p radiation parameter and h energy constant). These orbits have been determined by giving displacements along the tangent and normal to the mobile co-ordinates as defined by Karimov and Sokolsky (in Celest. Mech. 46:335, 1989). These orbits have been drawn by using the predictor-corrector method. We have also studied the effect of radiation pressure on the periodic orbits by taking some fixed values of μ and σ.  相似文献

Hawking’s radiation effect of Klein-Gordon scalar field, Dirac particles and Maxwell’s electromagnetic field in the non-stationary rotating de Sitter cosmological space-time is investigated by using a method of generalized tortoise co-ordinates transformation. The locations and the temperatures of the cosmological horizons of the non-stationary rotating de Sitter model are derived. It is found that the locations and the temperatures of the rotating cosmological model depend not only on the time but also on the angle. The stress-energy regularization techniques are applied to the two dimensional analog of the de Sitter metrics and the calculated stress-energy tensor contains the thermal radiation effect.  相似文献

An approximate formula for the magnification of a point source near a fold caustic obtained in the first linear caustic approximation is widely used in the theory of gravitational lens systems. Here, this formula is refined to include the post-linear terms that have been found both for a point source and for an extended Gaussian source in the absence of continuous matter on the line of sight. The formulas are reduced to a form containing three additional parameters; the derivation of nontrivial corrections requires including the expansion terms in the lens equation up to the fourth order. The modified formula for an extended source is used to analyze strong microlensing events in the gravitational lens system Q2237+0305 (the Einstein Cross). For such an event on the light curve of image C (1999, OGLE data), the corrections found are statistically significant.  相似文献

A special system of canonical variables is considered. An algorithm for expanding the principal functions of Keplerian motion in new elements is presented. The advantage of the proposed system is a relatively small number of terms in the classical expansions of the unperturbed two-body problem. A method for expanding the time derivatives of the rectangular coordinates is proposed. Some estimates of the number of terms in the presented expansions have been obtained through numerical experiments.  相似文献
