Chirp sub-bottom profilers produce high-resolution images of the near-surface. An attribute of the sea-bed reflection in chirp data are fluctuations in polarity between adjacent traces. Two models are proposed and presented to explain this: the first incorporates changes in an acoustic impedance gradient at the sea bed; the second uses changes in the thickness of the uppermost sediment layer. Mixing of adjacent traces produces a consistent polarity for the sea-bed reflector. Reflection coefficients are calculated, using amplitude information derived from single-traces, and polarity information from trace mixing, with application to a marine archaeological case study. The reflection coefficient calculated for the top of a buried 18th century wooden wreck is -0.26.  相似文献

海底沉船是水下文化遗产的一种重要类型和存在形式,利用综合地球物理手段对福建平潭、莆田及福州海域的海底沉船进行了探测研究,并重点探讨了不同浅地层剖面系统及不同探测频率在不同埋藏状态的水下文物调查中的应用。结果表明:浅地层剖面探测能够有效识别处于不同埋藏状态的沉船,尤其对探测埋藏海底面以下的沉船具有其他探测手段无法比拟的优势,但是探测频率的调节对目标物探测结果存在较大差异,对于埋藏式的海底沉船低频信号探测效果较理想。  相似文献

从合成孔径声纳的基本原理、研究进展、应用,以及实际应用中存在的问题等几个方面,探讨了该技术在海底管道探测方面的应用潜力。国内外一些海域开展的探索性应用显示,该技术可以对海底管道的埋设状态及其周边海域地形地貌和其他小目标清晰成像,并且能够获得管道状态和位置等的细节信息。然而,鉴于海洋水声环境的复杂性和特殊性,SAS在实际应用中仍存在一些问题,需要在信号处理方法、作业方式等方面进行更为深入的研究探索。  相似文献

利用全覆盖的多波束测深、侧扫声纳和浅地层剖面等声波探测数据,分析研究了青岛近海灾害地质类型及其声学反射特征,编制了青岛近海灾害地质图。青岛近海灾害地质主要有:活动断层、潮流沙脊、活动沙波、海底滑坡、出露基岩、礁石、埋藏断层、侵蚀沟槽、潮流三角洲和埋藏古河道等。根据其危害程度和成因对该海域的灾害地质类型进行了分类,并对其形态特征、空间分布、成因机制及对海洋工程建设的影响进行了分析讨论。结合前人研究成果,探讨了构造运动、海平面变化和现代水动力等地质环境因素对青岛近海灾害地质形成和分布的影响。通过对青岛近海灾害地质研究,可为该地区海洋工程建设和防灾减灾提供理论基础。  相似文献

Abstract

Keeping in view the paucity of information as to the nature of the marine sediments from the continental shelf adjoining the Indian subcontinent, a number of shallow seismic surveys were carried out, nearshore and offshore Bombay between 18°45'N and 21°00'N. Representative core samples preserving their natural state were also retrieved from the region in the water depths ranging from 5 to 70 m for the determination of physical properties in the laboratory. Data on the physical, acoustic, and elastic properties of the sediment cores are reported for the first time. Useful individual least‐squares relations are presented for acoustic impedance, reflection coefficient, and bulk modulus against density; for the dependence of rigidity and bulk moduli on the constrained modulus; for the association between impedance and field sediment velocity against P‐velocity; and for rigidity against Poisson's ratio. Results indicate that the bulk modulus and Young's modulus are higher for silty clay and clayey silt samples than for the clay samples. Similarly, the acoustic impedance, reflection coefficient, and constrained modulus of silty clay and clayey silt are also higher than clay. The results are found to be comparable to the North Atlantic and Bay of Bengal sediments.  相似文献

A time domain synthetic reflection seismogram is detailed and, as a limiting condition on this model, the analytic reflection impulse response for a one-dimensional lossless acoustic medium with piecewise continuous acoustic impedance is obtained. This analytic impulse response solution, in the structure of a sum of terms by order of reflection, provides insight to some of the poorly understood aspects of acoustic reflections from stratified and smoothly varying media as may be encountered in shallow marine sediments and elsewhere. It offers as well an approach for the inverse problem of extracting acoustic impedance profiles from reflection response data, though other effects (such as wavefront spreading, dispersive and absorptive attenuation, and wavelet broadening attendant with pulse propagation through a medium) need to be accommodated.  相似文献

In this paper, modeling results are presented demonstrating that, using an ensemble of forward-scattering measurements from a rippled sand/water interface, it is possible to accurately estimate the plane wave, flat surface reflection coefficient. The modeling effort was carried out in preparation for a sediment acoustics experiment in 2004 (SAX04). Guided by the modeling results, forward-scattering measurements were made during SAX04. The measurement instrumentation and procedure are presented. The plane wave reflection coefficients derived from these measurements are given and compared to reflection coefficients calculated using a fluid model and an approximation to the Biot porous medium model for the sand known as the effective density fluid model (EDFM). The model reflection coefficients were calculated using acoustic parameters determined from environmental measurements carried out by other researchers involved in SAX04. The reflection coefficient data/model comparison indicates that the sand at the SAX04 site is most accurately viewed as a porous medium for acoustic modeling purposes.   相似文献

Acoustic reflection signatures of four hydro-carbon seeps were classified using near-bottom 25-kHz echosounder profiles. Echo patterns were compared with ground-truth data obtained by submersible observations and shallow coring. Six echo types were distinguished: strong reflections from (1)?exposed or (2)?buried hard substrates, such as authigenic carbonate or gas hydrate; acoustic scattering in (3)?unlayered or (4)?layered sediments owing to gas, shells, or disseminated carbonates; (5)?attenuation caused by gas; and (6)?undisturbed sediments. Echo type distributions suggest that high spatial variability indicates a younger, vigorous seep, whereas extensive hard substrate implies an older, encrusted seep.  相似文献

How dissolved organic matter (DOM) undergoes chemical changes during its transit from river to ocean remains a challenge due to its complex structure. In this study, DOM along a river transect from black waters to marine waters is characterized using an offline combination of reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) coupled to electrospray ionization Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (ESI-FTICR-MS), as well as tandem ESI-FTICR-MS. In addition, a water extract from degraded wood that mainly consists of lignins is used for comparison to the DOM from this transect. The HPLC chromatograms of all DOM samples and the wood extract show two major well-separated components; one is hydrophilic and the other is hydrophobic, based on their elution order from the C18 column. From the FTICR-MS analysis of the HPLC fractions, the hydrophilic components mainly contain low molecular weight compounds (less than 400 Da), while the hydrophobic fractions contain the vast majority of compounds of the bulk C18 extracted DOM. The wood extract and the DOM samples from the transect of black waters to coastal marine waters show strikingly similar HPLC chromatograms, and the FTICR-MS analysis further indicates that a large fraction of molecular formulas from these samples are the same, existing as lignin-like compounds. Tandem mass spectrometry experiments show that several representative molecules from the lignin-like compounds have similar functional group losses and fragmentation patterns, consistent with modified lignin structural entities in the wood extract and these DOM samples. Taken together, these data suggest that lignin-derived compounds may survive the transit from the river to the coastal ocean and can accumulate there because of their refractory nature.  相似文献

音响驯化技术是控制鱼群和提高放流回捕率的有效方法。目前,对海水鱼类进行音响驯化时关于音响驯化时段选择的研究积累尚少。本试验研究了在7:20、10:20、13:20、16:20和19:20 5个不同驯化时段水平下,许氏平鲉幼鱼在430Hz正弦波连续音刺激下的行为反应,分别探究了在不考虑非音频刺激因素和减轻(甚至避免)非音频刺激因素对音响驯化效果干扰的前提下,许氏平鲉幼鱼的优势音响驯化时段。结果表明,无论考虑非音频刺激因素对音响驯化效果的影响与否,7:20时段都是许氏平鲉幼鱼的优势音响驯化时段。  相似文献

高分辨率声学剖面资料是识别海洋灾害地质现象的有效手段。该文利用国家“12 6”专项调查在黄东海海域获得的各种声学剖面及历史资料 ,在黄东海海底及浅层识别出多种灾害地质类型 ,如潮成沙脊、沙波、古河道、断层、浅层气等。根据对它们的声学特征及成因机制的分析 ,作者认为 :潮流是黄东海海底表层灾害地质形成的主要动力因素 ;而浅层灾害地质因素以古河道、断层、浅层气等为主。  相似文献

本文对南沙海洋岩芯和层样品中的脂肪酸进行了分离和鉴定,研究了脂肪酸的组成和分布特征,探讨了沉积物中有机质的来源及脂肪酸的早期成岩变化。结果表明,脂肪酸的组成和分布,反映了沉积有机质主要来自浮游生物和细菌,陆源高等植物的贡献较少;低碳及不饱和脂肪酸相对含量随埋深降低可能与化学和生物化学降解作用有关。/  相似文献

根据自60年代以来渤海海底的15个地质钻孔及最近的大量海上调查资料,在其他学者对渤海沿岸出露黄土各种特征详尽研究的基础上,分析了晚更新世末期以来渤海的陆架区环境特征。结果表明,晚更新世末期强劲的西北冬季风使出露的渤海海底部分发生沙漠化,在下风头形成黄土堆积。部分黄土被全新世海相层覆盖形成埋藏黄土,在辽东半岛、庙岛群岛及山东半岛沿岸则形成出露黄土。  相似文献

海底天然气渗漏是海洋环境中广泛分布的自然现象,在世界各大洋中都有发现。海底渗漏的气体赋存于浅部地层,可以改变近表层沉积物的物理性质,使其在声学剖面上得以反映。通过对南海北部陆坡某海域研究区浅地层剖面和地震数据分析,在浅地层剖面上发现了声空白、声混浊、增强反射层、速度下拉等特征,在地震剖面上则识别出气烟囱或泥底辟、亮点、速度下拉、增强反射层等特征。以似海底反射层(BSR)作为地震剖面上明显的含气层标志,划分了2套含气系统。通过浅地层剖面与地震剖面联合解释认为,BSR之下气烟囱/泥底辟的发育导致了亮点、速度下拉、增强反射层等声学特征的发生,BSR之上水合物层的存在则可能起到封堵天然气而使其发生侧向运移的作用,在气体封堵相对薄弱的位置,天然气向上运移形成声空白、声混浊、增强反射层、速度下拉等特征。以声空白代表的天然气聚集带可能成为块状水合物的发育场所,可能成为较有潜力的勘探目标。  相似文献

辽东半岛东部庄河海域分布有大量的人类工程活动设施,研究其工程地质特征和开发适宜性有助于提升海洋工程开发的安全和效率。利用海洋高精度地球物理调查、海底沉积物表层取样和历史工程地质数据收集等方法获取的各类调查数据,对庄河海域海岸带工程地质特征进行了系统分析。调查资料分析结果表明,研究区水深在11.5~15.6 m、坡度较小、海底地形较为平坦、存在4个连续声学反射界面;海底存在软弱土层、埋藏古洼地和埋藏古河道等不良地质因素。表层沉积物液塑限性质测试结果表明,研究区海底沉积物较为稳定,不需考虑软土的震陷问题。综合分析研究区各类地质影响因素,认为研究区各类环境指标较为稳定,适宜开展海洋工程开发活动,但是具体施工时需要重点考虑探测到的各类不良地质因素。  相似文献

An experiment was performed to measure sediment penetrating acoustic waves to test a model of acoustic propagation, which is based on Biot's theory. Independent geophysical measurements provided model input parameters. A parametric sound source was used to project a narrow beam pulse into a silty sand sediment at a shallow grazing angle. The sediment acoustic waves were measured by an array of buried sensors and processed to measure wave directions and speeds. Two acoustic waves were observed, corresponding to the fast and slow waves predicted by Biot's theory. Discrepancies between model predictions and measured acoustic waves were examined, deficiencies in the model identified, and strategies for improvement postulated. 探测查明海砂分布及其资源量, 对海洋矿产资源规划和社会经济发展有重要意义。利用在中国台湾浅滩采集的单波束测深、侧扫声呐、浅地层剖面、单道地震等多源地球物理数据, 识别出海底沙脊、沙波、埋藏古河道等有利于海砂赋存的地貌标志, 以及厚泥盖层等不利标志, 它们在平面上渐变交错分布。地球物理数据与表层沉积物、钻孔岩心结果对比, 证实浅地层剖面能有效识别表层砂体上部和排除厚泥盖层(厚度>10m), 表层砂体上部呈断续中弱振幅杂乱反射; 单道地震剖面能有效识别砂-泥地层界面, 垂向上刻画表层及埋藏砂体形态, 砂体最主要的特征为连续性差的弱振幅反射中夹杂空白、杂乱的“白雾”反射。砂体响应特征反映了砂体声学较难穿透的特性, 同时也可能是砂体含气所致。分析表明在砂体形态多变或钻孔分布密度低时, 利用地球物理方法, 结合一定数量的钻孔岩心约束, 相比仅依靠大量钻孔岩心, 可更为经济、高效地对砂体的垂向形态和平面展布进行精细刻画, 从而有利于更准确地估算海砂的资源量。  相似文献

This study reports an adaptation of a parametric echosounder system using 15 kHz as secondary frequency to investigate the angular response of sub-bottom backscatter strength of layered mud, providing a new method for enhanced acoustic detection of buried targets. Adaptions to achieve both vertical (0°) and non-vertical inclination (1–15°, 30°, 45° and 60°) comprise mechanical tilting of the acoustic transducer and electronic beam steering. Data were acquired at 18 m water depth at a study site characterized by a flat, muddy seafloor where a 0.1 m diameter power cable lies 1–2 m below the seafloor. Surveying the cable with vertical incidence revealed that the buried cable can hardly be discriminated against the backscatter strength of the layered mud. However, the backscatter strength of layered mud decreases strongly at >3±0.5° incidence and the layered mud echo pattern vanishes beyond 5°. As a consequence, the backscatter pattern of the buried cable is very pronounced in acoustic images gathered at 15°, 30°, 45° and 60° incidence. The size of the cable echo pattern increases linearly with incidence. These effects are attributed to reflection loss from layered mud at larger incidence and to the scattering of the 0.1 m diameter buried cable. Data analyses support the visual impression of superior detection of the cable with an up to 2.6-fold increase of the signal-to-noise ratio at 40° incidence compared to the vertical incidence case.  相似文献
