Measurement of 228Ra activities in the upper 300 m water column was conducted at two stations in the South China Sea using an MnO2-fiber extraction/b-counting technique of 228Ac. Results showed that 228Ra activities ranged from 0.38 to 3.60 Bq·m-3. The vertical profiles of 228Ra at the time-series station favored a steady state assumption. Based on a one-dimensional steady state model, 228Ra-nitrate coupled approach was applied to stations NS97-43, NS99-53 (T1), NS99-53 (T2). New production thus quantified were 4.4, 5.1 and 5.7 mmolC·m-2·d-1, respectively. f ratios in the South China Sea were estimated from the derived new production and the documented primary productivity in the regime, to be 0.12-0.15.  相似文献

To research the relationship between coral growth rate and sea surface temperatnre (Tss), 5 cores of livingPorites lutea were collected from the Xisha Islands and the southern Hainan Island waters and measured. The results of the study show that there is an obviously positive correlation between the coral growth rates and theTss records from the northern part of South China Sea. The annual growth rates of the five samples ofPorites lutea during the past 100 a are in the range of 7—15 mm/a, and their mean value is 11 mm/a. The correlation coefficients between the coral growth rates and the Tss records from the waters during 1961—1993 are in the range of 0.77—0.89. As a result, a thermometer of the coral growth rate is established. A hindcasting Tss, in the waters from 1993 to 1961 has been obtained with an error of about 0.12—0.17°C. Based upon the calculated result, the rising rate of Tss in the northern part of South China Sea during the past 100 a is 0.20°C. which is higher than that of the air temperature in China (0.09°C/100 a), but lower than that of the global temperature and that of Tss in the tropical western Pacific Ocean. Radium-226 (226Ra) activities were measured in the surface water samples collected from the Arctic Ocean and the Bering Sea during the First Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition. The results showed that 226Ra concentrations in the surface water ranged from 0.28 to 1.56 Bq/m3 with an average of 0.76 Bq/m3 in the Arctic Ocean, and from 0.25 to 1.26 Bq/m3 with an average of 0.71 Bq/m3 in the Bering Sea. The values were obviously lower than those from open oceans in middle and low latitudes, indicating that the study area may be partly influenced by sea ice meltwater. In the Bering Sea, 226Ra in the surface water decreased northward, probably as a result of the exchange between the 226Ra-deficient sea ice meltwater and the 226Ra-rich Pacific water. In the Arctic Ocean, 226Ra in the surface water increased northward and eastward. This spatial distribution of 226Ra reflected the variation of the 226Ra-enriched river component in the water mass of the Arctic Ocean. The vertical profiles of 226Ra in the Canadian Basin showed a concentration maximum at 200 m, which could be attributed to the inputs of the Pacific water or/and the bottom shelf water with high 226Ra concentration. We present an uncertainty analysis of ecological process parameters and CO2 flux components (R eco, NEE and gross ecosystem exchange (GEE)) derived from 3 years’ continuous eddy covariance measurements of CO2 fluxes at subtropical evergreen coniferous plantation, Qianyanzhou of ChinaFlux. Daily-differencing approach was used to analyze the random error of CO2 fluxes measurements and bootstrapping method was used to quantify the uncertainties of three CO2 flux components. In addition, we evaluated different models and optimization methods in influencing estimation of key parameters and CO2 flux components. The results show that: (1) Random flux error more closely follows a double-exponential (Laplace), rather than a normal (Gaussian) distribution. (2) Different optimization methods result in different estimates of model parameters. Uncertainties of parameters estimated by the maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) are lower than those derived from ordinary least square method (OLS). (3) The differences between simulated Reco, NEE and GEE derived from MLE and those derived from OLS are 12.18% (176 g C·m−2·a−1), 34.33% (79 g C·m−2·a−1) and 5.4% (92 g C·m−2·a−1). However, for a given parameter optimization method, a temperature-dependent model (T_model) and the models derived from a temperature and water-dependent model (TW_model) are 1.31% (17.8 g C·m−2·a−1), 2.1% (5.7 g C·m−2·a−1), and 0.26% (4.3 g C·m−2·a−1), respectively, which suggested that the optimization methods are more important than the ecological models in influencing uncertainty in estimated carbon fluxes. (4) The relative uncertainty of CO2 flux derived from OLS is higher than that from MLE, and the uncertainty is related to timescale, that is, the larger the timescale, the smaller the uncertainty. The relative uncertainties of Reco, NEE and GEE are 4%−8%, 7%−22% and 2%−4% respectively at annual timescale. Recent radium measurements from the near-surface Caribbean Sea are presented. The surface horizontal and vertical distributions of226Ra are essentially the same as reported by Szabo et al. (1967) for the early 1960's. The226Ra activity at the surface is relatively uniform across the Caribbean, with an average of8.2±0.4dpm/100kg. The subsurface distribution to ~200 m averages7.8±0.4dpm/100kg and increases slowly below 200 m. reaching ~9.5 dpm/100 kg at 560 m. In contrast to226Ra, the surface concentration of228Ra was much more variable in both time and space. An average increase of 33% was found between 1968 and 1976 in the western Caribbean and during both years an anomalously high228Ra activity was found in the eastern Caribbean. These data support previous hypotheses that water entering the eastern Caribbean has been enriched in228Ra prior to entry and that variable mixing of the Atlantic water masses found to the northeast and southeast of the Lesser Antilles may produce temporal variations in the near-surface228Ra activity. Scatter plots of228Ra vs. salinity and sigma-t indicate that the near-surface vertical distribution of228Ra in the Caribbean Sea is predominantly influenced by advection. Thus228Ra cannot be used to study near-surface vertical mixing rates in this region.  相似文献

水库近岸湿地(消落区)温室气体(CO2、CH4)产汇是水库温室气体效应问题的重要组成部分.本文以三峡水库支流澎溪河的白家溪、养鹿两处大面积消落区为研究对象,于2010年6 9月水库低水位运行期间,对近岸消落区土-气界面CO2、CH4通量进行监测.白家溪消落区土-气界面CO2通量均值为12.38±2.42 mmol/(m2·h);CH4通量均值为0.0112±0.0064 mmol/(m2·h).养鹿消落区CO2、CH4通量均值分别为10.54±5.17、0.14±0.16 mmol/(m2·h).总体上,6 9月土-气界面CO2通量呈增加趋势,而CH4通量水平呈现显著的递减趋势.消落区土地出露后植被恢复,在一定程度上促进了土壤有机质含量的增加,使得6 9月CO2释放通量的总体趋势有所增加.消落区退耕后,其甲烷氧化菌的活性得到恢复,加之在土地出露曝晒过程中土壤透气性增强,使得消落区土壤对大气中CH4吸收氧化潜势增强.尽管如此,仍需进一步的研究以明晰消落区土-气界面CO2、CH4产汇的主要影响因素.  相似文献

青海湖是青藏高原的重要组成部分,它是维系青藏高原东北部生态安全的重要水体.其沿岸地下水的排放直接影响了青海湖的水文生物地球化学过程,然而对该问题的研究仍然不充分.本研究于2014年对青海湖泉湾湖水、河水和地下水进行223Ra和224Ra活度的测定分析,并对泉湾湖水水平向和垂直向的Ra活度分布进行深入分析,最后估算并探讨了泉湾水体的停留时间和布哈河口沿岸地下水的排放通量.表层湖水、河水、地下水不同端元的水体223Ra和224Ra活度值分别为0.441和0.026 dpm/100 L、0.22和0.016 dpm/100 L以及0.061和1.30 dpm/100 L,最高值为地下水,其次湖水,河水最小;总体上泉湾湖水223Ra和224Ra活度随离岸距离增加分别由0.047到0.011 dpm/100 L和1.4到0.2 dpm/100 L的减小,垂向上Ra活度呈楔形分布,Ra活度在不同方向上的非保守性分布主要受到悬浮颗粒物解析的影响;通过水体滞留时间模型计算获得青海湖泉湾水体的平均停留时间为1.8天,进一步分析泉湾水体Ra的源汇项,应用镭同位素质量平衡模型获得泉湾布哈河口沿岸地下水排放通量为0.054~0.109 m3/(m2·d).  相似文献

22 annual layered samples of coral from 1977 to 1998 were collected from Daya Bay, South China Sea, their bomb-14C (nuclear weapons testing14C) concentrations were determined and studied, and the atmosphere-sea exchange rate and diffusion thickness were estimated and found to be 17 mol · m−2 · a−1 and 32 μm, respectively. The interannual variation of coral Δ14C is mainly controlled by oceanic factors. In ENSO years, the coastwise upwelling current of South China Sea gets intensified, hence the coral Δ14C displays its bottom value. The coral Δ14C does no respond vividly to the variation of the solar radiation energy. In the past 20 years or so, the genera situation and the oceanic thermal structure of South China Sea are still stable even though inter annual variation occurs in the atmosphere-sea interaction and the upwelling current driven by the tropical energy.  相似文献

The occurrence of γ-phase, a high-pressure polymorph of olivine (α-phase), in the shock veins of Sixiangkou chondrite was due to a greater cooling rate (> 10 000°C·s-1) in the veins. Because γ-phase partially reverted to β-phase and no back-transformation from β-phase to α-phase took place, the shock veins of Peace River chondrite with a cooling rate of 1 000–2 000δC·s-1 contain a great amount of β-phase. In the shock veins of Mbale chondrite with a cooling rate of <500°C·s-1, the majority of γ-phase reverted to α-phase. The heat dissipation in shock veins took place after a stage of shock compression of chondrite parent body, and the parent body was broken into fragmental pieces. Cooling rate in the shock veins constrained the back-transformations of (Mg, Fe)2SiO4 high-pressure polymorphs. The results from Raman spectroscopy analysis of salt aqueous solutions at −170°C demonstrate that for those clearly sharp iron peaks whose Raman wavenumber is close to each other such as NO 3 and CO 3 2− , their original shape could be restorable by the stripping technique, and that ice’s sharp characteristic peak 3090–3109 cm−1) is steady, while the spectrum band of the complex compound (nCl-[H+-OH]n) chlorine ion combined chemically with water molecule is 3401–3413 cm−1. On the other hand, the research shows that the higher the negative iron concentration, the stronger its Raman characteristic peak intensity and the smaller the ice’s. Based on the number of data and theoretical work, the strong correlation of the molar concentration of negative ion with the S i/S H 2O band area ratio is built up. Moreover, the developed Raman method is successfully used in the component analysis of the field fluid inclusions from Silurian sandstone in Tarim basin.  相似文献

The surface water of the Japan Sea contained226Ra of70 ± 4dpm m−3 which was nearly equal to that of the surface water in the North Pacific. The concentration of226Ra in the Japan Sea deep water below 500 m was151 ± 8dpm m−3, showing a vertically and regionally small variation. This concentration of226Ra in the deep water is unexpectedly high, because the Japan Sea deep water has a higher Δ14 C value by about 50‰ than the Atlantic deep water containing the same226Ra. One of the causes to be considered is larger contribution of226Ra from biogenic particles dissolving in the Japan Sea deep water, but the Japan Sea is not so fertile in comparison to the Bering Sea. The other more plausible cause is the internal ventilation of the Japan Sea water, which means that the residence time of the Japan Sea Proper water is considerably long although the water is vertically mixed fairly well especially in winter. The ventilation may supply some amounts of radiocarbon and oxygen but does not change the inventory of226Ra. The residence times of the Japan Sea deep water and of water within the Japan Sea are calculated by solving simultaneous equations for226Ra and14C with a three-box model to be 300–400 years and 700–1000 years, respectively.  相似文献

内陆水域二氧化碳(CO2)排放是全球碳平衡的重要组成部分,全球CO2排放通量估算通常有很大不确定性,一方面源于CO2排放数据观测的时空离散性,另一方面也是缺少水文情景与CO2排放通量关联性的研究.本文观测了2018年洪泽湖不同水文情景表层水体CO2排放通量特征,并探讨其影响因素.结果表明,洪泽湖CO2排放通量为丰水期((106.9±73.4) mmol/(m2·d))>枯水期((18.7±13.6) mmol/(m2·d))>平水期((5.2±15.5) mmol/(m2·d)),且碳通量由丰(310.2~32.0 mmol/(m2·d))、枯(50.8~2.2 mmol/(m2·d))、平(-17.3~39.8 mmol/(m2·d))3种水文情景的交替表现出湖泊碳源到弱碳汇的转变,空间上CO2排放通量总体呈现北部成子湖区低、南部过水湖区高的分布趋势.洪泽湖CO2排放对水文情景响应敏感,特别是上游淮河流域来水量的改变,是主导该湖CO2排放时空分异的重要因子.丰水期湖泊接纳了淮河更多有机和无机碳的输入,外源碳基质的降解和矿化显著促进了水体CO2的生产与排放,同时氮、磷等营养物质的大量输入,加剧了水体营养化程度,进一步提高CO2排放量,间接反映出人类活动对洪泽湖CO2变化的深刻影响.平、枯水期随着上游淮河来水量的减少,驱动水体CO2排放的因素逐渐由外源输入转变为水体有机质的呼吸降解.此外,上游河口区DOM中陆源类腐殖质的累积与矿化能够促进CO2的排放,而内源有机质组分似乎并没有直接参与CO2的排放过程.研究结果揭示了水文情景交替对湖库CO2排放的重要影响,同时有必要进行高频观测以进一步明晰湖泊的碳通量变化及其控制因素.  相似文献

The Mn-fiber technique for extracting radium from seawater has proved useful for studying the marine geochemistry of228Ra. In the Gulf of Mexico, this technique was used to measure the surface and near-surface distribution of226Ra and228Ra. The observed surface distribution of228Ra, and particularly the radium activity ratio (228/226) can be explained by known circulation patterns, or, when local surface currents are not well understood, may provide insight into their general characteristics.The radium activity ratio has increased from 0.5 in 1968 to 0.7 in 1973 in the surface Gulf of Mexico. This observed increase cannot be attributed to known anthropogenic or natural source perturbations within the Caribbean Sea-Gulf of Mexico system. Possible causes include a change in the residence time for near-surface water, or variations in the relative dominance of the two sources for water entering the eastern Caribbean; the North Equatorial Current and the Guiana Current.The temporal distribution of228Ra is unstable and naturally variable over a time period less than or equal to five years in the Gulf of Mexico and by extrapolation, the Caribbean Sea. Therefore, its usefulness in calculations of eddy diffusion coefficients for these regions is greatly diminished.  相似文献

We measured SO2 emission rate from six volcanoes in Latin America (Santa Ana, El Salvador; San Cristóbal and Masaya, Nicaragua; Arenal and Poás, Costa Rica; Tungurahua and Sierra Negra, Ecuador) and from Mt. Etna, Italy, using two different remote sensing techniques: COSPEC (COrrelation SPECtrometer) and miniDOAS (miniaturized Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy). One of the goals of this study was to evaluate the differences in SO2 emission rates obtained by these two methods. The observed average SO2 emission rates measured during this study were 2688 t·d−1 from Tungurahua in July 2006, 2375 t·d−1 in September 2005 and 480 t·d−1 in February 2006 from Santa Ana, 1200 t·d−1 in May 2005 from Etna, 955 t·d−1 in March 2006 and 1165 t·d−1 in December 2006 from Masaya, 5400 t·d−1 of March 7, 2006 and 265 t·d−1 in March 2006 from San Cristobal, 113 t·d−1 in April 2006 from Arenal, 104 t·d−1 in April 2006 from Poás and 11 t·d−1 in July 2006 from Sierra Negra volcano. Most of the observed relative differences of SO2 emission measurements from COSPEC and miniDOAS were lower than 10%.  相似文献

以三峡水库香溪河库湾为研究对象,采用原位加密采样(2021年5月)和室内培养方法,结合沉积物特性与水环境因子分析,探讨了香溪河库湾沉积物甲烷(CH4)释放潜力、沉积物-水界面CH4产生和氧化通量空间分布规律及其影响因素。结果表明:三峡水库泄水期间,香溪河库湾沉积物CH4释放潜力的变化范围是6.35-2029.37 mg/(kg·d),沉积物-水界面CH4产生通量和氧化通量的变化范围分别为0.04~0.73、0.03~0.62 mmol/(m2·d);空间上,沉积物CH4释放潜力、沉积物-水界面CH4产生及氧化通量在香溪河库湾和各典型横切面(XX02、XX05和XX06)间表现出空间差异性,主要受水深、TOC和温度的影响。垂向上,CH4产生速率随沉积物深度的增加而减小,表层20 cm沉积物CH4释放潜力占整柱沉积物的70%,可以用于估算库湾沉积物CH4释放潜力。此外,沉积...  相似文献

The228Ra concentrations of the Dead Sea waters range from 0.13 to 1.48 dpm kg−1, two to three orders of magnitude higher than those of ocean waters and lake waters. However, the228Ra/226Ra activity ratios, (0.12–1.29) × 10−2, are in the range reported for the hydrosphere.The surface waters of the Dead Sea are enriched in228Ra by a factor of about three over the near-bottom waters. There is a factor of about two spatial variability in the mid-depth Ra concentrations at the two profile stations. The near-bottom228Ra gradients yield vertical eddy diffusivity coefficient (K) of 2.0 and 0.4 cm2 s−1 at profile locations 1 and 2 respectively. These values are comparable to those measured in oceans and lakes.  相似文献

226Ra data on eleven vertical profiles taken during the GEOSECS program from the Antarctic Ocean and its vicinity in both the Atlantic and the Pacific are presented. Replicate measurements were made on each sample using the Rn-emanation method. The precision (1 σ) based on triplicate analyses averages about ±2.5%. Waters all around the Antarctic continent below 2 km depth appear to exhibit a uniform226Ra concentration of 21.5 ± 1dpm/100kg, except perhaps locally such as the Ross Sea and the Drake Passage where small variations may be present. Higher in the water column, the226Ra contents decrease toward the surface with gradients which vary as a function of the influence exerted by the Antarctic Convergence. Across this oceanic front, a north-to-south increase of226Ra occurs (the increase being the largest near the surface: from 8 to 18 dpm/100 kg), reflecting the combining effect of deep-water upwelling and meridional water mixing. The core layer of the Antarctic Intermediate Water contains about 14 dpm/100 kg of226Ra and that of the Circumpolar Intermediate Water (O2 minimum and local T maximum) about 18 dpm/100 kg. To a first approximation,226Ra covaries with Si in the circumpolar waters.  相似文献

内陆水体是大气CO2收支估算的重要组成部分。农业流域分布着大量池塘景观水体,且具备蓄洪抗旱、消纳污染、水产养殖等多种功能。但是,农业流域不同功能的小型池塘CO2排放特征尚不清楚。本研究以极具农业流域代表性的烔炀河流域为研究对象,选取流域中用于水产养殖(养殖塘)、生活污水承纳(村塘)、农业灌溉(农塘)、蓄水(水塘)的4个功能不同的景观池塘,基于为期1年的野外实地观测,以明确农业流域小型池塘CO2排放特征。结果表明,不同功能池塘水体CO2排放差异显著,受养殖活动、生活污水输入和农田灌溉等人类活动影响,养殖塘((80.37±100.39) mmol/(m2·d))、村塘((48.69±65.89) mmol/(m2·d))和农塘((13.50±15.81) mmol/(m2·d))是大气CO2的热点排放源,其CO2排放通量分别是自然蓄水塘((4.52±23.26) mmol/(m2·d))的18、11和3倍。统计分析也表明,该流域池塘CO2排放变化总体上受溶解氧、营养盐等因素驱动。4个不同景观池塘CO2排放通量全年均值为(37.31±67.47) mmol/(m2·d),是不容忽视的CO2排放源,其中养殖塘和村塘具有较高的CO2排放潜力,在未来研究中需要重点关注。  相似文献

To evaluate influence of chemical weathering of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (QTP) on seawater 87Sr/86Sr variation, river water and sediment samples were collected, and their Sr concentrations and isotopic compositions analyzed, from the seven large rivers that originated from the QTP. By combining these with the data of the Ganges, Brahmaputra, Indus and Irrawaddy originated in the southern QTP, the total Sr flux of the eleven rivers reaches 3.47×109 mol·a−1, which accounts for 10.2% of the total Sr flux transported by the global rivers. The weighted mean 87Sr/86Sr is 0.71694, higher than the average value of the global rivers. The 87Srex (87Sr flux in excess of the seawater 87Sr/86Sr ratio) of the Chinese seven rivers is 1.55×106 mol·a−1, only accounting for about 6% of the value of the eleven rivers originated from QTP, and the Ganges-Brahmaputra system accounts for 86%. We assume that the QTP rivers have no strontium contributions to the oceans before ∼40 Ma and the Sr fluxes of the global rivers, except the QTP eleven rivers, are constant, then a maximum linear increase in Sr fluxes of the QTP rivers from zero to the modern value in response to tectonic uplift can explain ∼69% increase of seawater 87Sr/86Sr over the past ∼40 Ma and the remainder of 31% is perhaps provided from other factors.
