Calcite dissolution rates were measured as a function of saturation state in NaCl–CaCl2–MgCl2 solutions at 1 bar (0.1 MPa) pCO2 and 25 °C. Rates measured in phosphate- and sulfate-free pseudo-seawater (Ca2+:Mg2+= 0.2, I= 0.7) were compared with those in synthetic brines. The brines were prepared by co-varying calcium and magnesium (Ca2+:Mg2+= 0.9; 2.0; 2.8; 3.1; 4.8; 5.8) along with ionic strength (I= 0.9; 1.1; 1.6; 2.1; 3.0; 3.7; 4.4 m) to yield solutions approximating those of subsurface formation waters. The rate data were modeled using the equation, R = k(1 ? Omega;) n , where k is the empirical rate constant, n describes the order of the reaction and ω is saturation state. For rates measured in the pseudo-seawater, n= 1.5 and k= 4.7 × 10?2 mol m?2 hr?1. In general, rates were not significantly faster in the synthetic brines (n= 1.4 ± 0.2 and k= 5.0 ± 7 × 10?2 mol m?2 hr?1). The rate coefficients agree within experimental error indicating that they are independent of ionic strength and Ca2+:Mg2+ over a broad range of brine compositions. These findings have important application to reaction-transport modeling because carbonate bearing saline reservoirs have been identified as potential repositories for CO2 sequestration.  相似文献

The transformation of vivianite and the direct synthesis starting from pure chemicals lead to the formation of lipscombite {Fe x 2+ Fe 3?x 3+ [(OH)3?x/(PO4)2]} with varying Fe2+/Fe3+ molar ratios. The influence of this ratio on the Mössbauer spectra, solubility, electrokinetic potential and infrared spectra has been studied. By means of Mössbauer spectroscopy, the distribution of the Fe2+ and Fe3+ ions between the octahedral sites I and II has been investigated. The unit cell dimensions have been determined from Guinier-Hägg X-ray diffraction patterns. The crystal system is tetragonal for synthetic lipscombite with a=5.3020±0.0005 Å and c=12.8800±0.0005 Å. Lipscombite has been found to show a negative and time-dependent zeta-potential which, moreover, is influenced by the pH of the suspension and the Fe2+/Fe3+ molar ratio. An explanation of the time-dependence of the zeta-potential on variations of solubility is proposed. Infrared absorption spectrum only is characterized by two absorption bands: v OH(3,500 cm?1) and v P?O(1,100-960 cm?1). The density at 25° C is determined in toluene as 3.36±0.01 g·cm?3.  相似文献

Polarized optical absorption spectra of Mn(IV) in octahedral crystal fields of Mn(SeO3)2 have been studied by means of microscope-spectrometry in the range 40000-4000 cm?1 and at temperatures between 113 K and 293 K. Intense charge-transfer absorptions (linear absorption coefficient α ? 30000 cm?1) completely mask the d-d transitions in the UV and VIS region above ≈23000 cm?1. The optical electronegativity χ opt of Mn(IV) in Mn(SeO3)2 is estimated to be 2.7. In accordance with the d 3 configuration of tetravalent manganese three d-d bands observed at ambient temperatures at 13250, 14137 (α≈50 cm?1) and ≈18500 cm?1 (α≈500–800 cm?1) are assigned to the spin forbidden 4 A 2g 2 E g and 4 A 2g 2 T 1g transitions as well as to the first spin allowed 4 A 2g 4 T 2g transition, respectively. These assignments allow the calculation of the following ligand field parameters: Dq ≈ 1850 cm?1, B 55 = 869 cm?1 (β 55 = 0.82), and C = 2346 cm?1 (293 K).  相似文献

Synthetic, flux-grown uvarovite, Ca3Cr2 [SiO4]3, was investigated by optical methods, electron microprobe analysis, UV-VIS-IR microspectrometry, and luminescence spectroscopy. The crystal structure was refined using single-crystal X-ray CCD diffraction data. Synthetic uvarovite is optically isotropic and crystallizes in the “usual” cubic garnet space group Ia3¯d [a=11.9973 Å, Z=8; 21524 reflections, R1=2.31% for 454 unique data and 18 variables; Cr–O=1.9942(6), Si–O=1.6447(6), Ca–Oa=2.3504(6), Ca–Ob= 2.4971(6) Å]. The structure of Ca3Cr2[SiO4]3 complies with crystal-chemical expectations for ugrandite group garnets in general as well as with predictions drawn from “cubically averaged” data of non-cubic uvarovite–grossular solid solutions (Wildner and Andrut 2001). The electronic absorption spectra of Cr3+ in trigonally distorted octahedra of synthetic uvarovite were analyzed in terms of the superposition model (SM) of crystal fields. The resulting SM and interelectronic repulsion parameters are =9532 cm?1, =4650 cm?1, power law exponent t 4=6.7, Racah B35=703 cm?1 at 290 K (reference distance R 0=1.995 Å; fixed power law exponent t 2=3 and spin-orbit parameter ζ=135 cm?1). The interelectronic repulsion parameters Racah B 55=714 cm?1 and C=3165 cm?1 were extracted from spin-forbidden transitions. This set of SM parameters was subsequently applied to previously well-characterized natural uvarovite–grossular solid solutions (Andrut and Wildner 2001a; Wildner and Andrut 2001) using their extrapolated Cr–O bond lengths to calculate the energies of the spin-allowed bands. These results are in very good agreement with the experimentally determined band positions and indicate the applicability of the superposition model to natural 3d N prevailing systems in geosciences. Single-crystal IR absorption spectra of synthetic uvarovite in the region of the OH-stretching vibration exhibit one isotropic absorption band at 3508 cm?1 at ambient conditions, which shifts to 3510 cm?1 at 77 K. This band is caused by structurally incorporated hydroxyl groups via the (O4H4)-hydrogarnet substitution. The water content, calculated using an integral extinction coefficient ?=60417 cm?2 l mol?1, is c H2O=33 ppm.  相似文献

Polarized electronic absorption spectra of colourless chalcocyanite, CuSO4, have been measured using microscope-spectrometric techniques. The spectra are characterized by a structured and clearly polarized band system in the near-infrared spectral range with components centred at 11,720, 10,545, 9,100, and 7,320 cm?1, which have been assigned to crystal field dd transitions of Cu2+ cations in pseudo-tetragonally elongated CuO6 polyhedra with point symmetry C i ( \(\bar{1}\) ). The polarization behaviour is interpreted based on a D 2(C 2″) pseudo-symmetry. Crystal field calculations were performed for the actual triclinic point symmetry by applying the Superposition Model of crystal fields, as well as in terms of a ‘classic’ pseudo-tetragonal crystal field approach yielding the parameters Dq (eq) = 910, Dt = 395, and Ds = 1,336 cm?1, corresponding to a cubically averaged Dq cub = 679 cm?1. A comparative survey on crystal fields in Cu2+ minerals shows that the low overall crystal field strength in chalcocyanite, combined with a comparatively weak pseudo-tetragonal splitting of energy levels, is responsible for its unique colourless appearance among oxygen-based Cu2+ minerals. The weak crystal field in CuSO4 can be related to the lower position of the SO4 2? anion compared to, e.g. the H2O molecule in the spectrochemical series of ligands.  相似文献

By utilizing the magnetic interactions possessingC 3v symmetry, the author has deduced the general expressions for theg-factors, zero-field splitting and effective magnetic moment of the ground singlet orbital state in d3-complex. For ruby (Al2O3: Cr3+) the results are in good agreement with experiments: theoretical values:g =1.9835;g =1.9876; 2D=?0.3731 cm?1;μ =3.857β;μ =3.861β; experimental values:g =1.9840±0.006,g =1.9867±0.0006, 2D=?0.3831±0.0002 cm?1,μ=3.8?3.9β.  相似文献

The speciation of CO2 in dacite, phonolite, basaltic andesite, and alkali silicate melt was studied by synchrotron infrared spectroscopy in diamond anvil cells to 1,000 °C and more than 200 kbar. Upon compression to 110 kbar at room temperature, a conversion of molecular CO2 into a metastable carbonate species was observed for dacite and phonolite glass. Upon heating under high pressure, molecular CO2 re-appeared. Infrared extinction coefficients of both carbonate and molecular CO2 decrease with temperature. This effect can be quantitatively modeled as the result of a reduced occupancy of the vibrational ground state. In alkali silicate (NBO/t = 0.98) and basaltic andesite (NBO/t = 0.42) melt, only carbonate was detected up to the highest temperatures studied. For dacite (NBO/t = 0.09) and phonolite melts (NBO/t = 0.14), the equilibrium CO2 + O2? = CO3 2? in the melt shifts toward CO2 with increasing temperature, with ln K = ?4.57 (±1.68) + 5.05 (±1.44) 103 T ?1 for dacite melt (ΔH = ?42 kJ mol?1) and ln K = ?6.13 (±2.41) + 7.82 (±2.41) 103 T ?1 for phonolite melt (ΔH = ?65 kJ mol?1), where K is the molar ratio of carbonate over molecular CO2 and T is temperature in Kelvin. Together with published data from annealing experiments, these results suggest that ΔS and ΔH are linear functions of NBO/t. Based on this relationship, a general model for CO2 speciation in silicate melts is developed, with ln K = a + b/T, where T is temperature in Kelvin and a = ?2.69 ? 21.38 (NBO/t), b = 1,480 + 38,810 (NBO/t). The model shows that at temperatures around 1,500 °C, even depolymerized melts such as basalt contain appreciable amounts of molecular CO2, and therefore, the diffusion coefficient of CO2 is only slightly dependent on composition at such high temperatures. However, at temperatures close to 1,000 °C, the model predicts a much stronger dependence of CO2 solubility and speciation on melt composition, in accordance with available solubility data.  相似文献

The solubility of gold in aqueous sulphide solutions has been determined from pH20°C ≈ 4 to pH20°C ≈ 9.5 in the presence of a pyrite-pyrrhotite redox buffer at temperatures from 160 to 300°C and 1000 bar pressure. Maximum solubilities were obtained in the neutral region of pH as, for example, with mNaHS = 0.15 m, pH20°C = 5.96, T = 309°C, P = 1000 bar where a gold solubility of 225 mg/kg was obtained. It was concluded that three thio gold complexes contributed to the solubility. The complex Au2(HS)2S2? predominated in alkaline solution, the Au(HS)2? complex occurred in the neutral pH region, and in the acid pH region, it was concluded with less certainty that the Au(HS)° complex was present. Formation constants calculated forAu2(HS)2S2? and Au (HS)2? emphasize their high stability. In the temperature range from 175 to 250°C, values of for Au2(HS)2S2? vary from ?53.0 to 47.9 (±1.6) and from ?23.1 to ?19.5 ( ± 1.5) for Au(HS)2?. Equilibrium constante for the dissolution reactions, Au° + H2S + HS? ? Au(HS)2? + 12H2 and 2Au° + H2S + 2H8? ? Au(HS)2? + H2 vary from pKm = +2.4 to +2.55 (±0.10) for Au2(HS)2S2? and from pKn = + 1.29 to + 1.19 (±0.10) for Au(HS)2? over the temperature range 175 to 250°C. Enthalpies of these dissolution reactions were calculated to be ΔHm° = ?5.2 ±2.0 kcal/mol and ΔHn° = +1.7 ±2.0 kcal/mol respectively. It was concluded that gold is probably transported in hydrothermal ore solutions as both thio and chloro complexes and may be deposited in response to changes in temperature, pressure, pH, oxidation potential of the system and total sulphur concentration.  相似文献

The effect of ion beam irradiations on the elastic properties of hydrous cordierite was investigated by means of Raman and X-ray diffraction experiments. Oriented single crystals were exposed to swift heavy ions (Au, Bi) of various specific energies (10.0–11.1 MeV/u and 80 MeV/u), applying fluences up to 5 × 1013 ions/cm2. The determination of unit-cell constants yields a volume strain of 3.4 × 10?3 up to the maximum fluence, which corresponds to a compression of non-irradiated cordierite at ~480 ± 10 MPa. The unit-cell contraction is anisotropic (e 1 = 1.4 ± 0.1 × 10?3, e 2 = 1.5 ± 0.1 × 10?3, and e 3 = 7 ± 1 × 10?4) with the c-axis to shrink only half as much as the axes within the ab-plane. The lattice elasticity for irradiated cordierite (? = 1 × 1012 ions/cm2) was determined from single-crystal XRD measurements in the diamond anvil cell. The fitted third-order Birch–Murnaghan equation-of-state parameters of irradiated cordierite (V 0 = 1548.41 ± 0.16 Å3, K 0 = 117.1 ± 1.1 GPa, ?K/?P = ?0.6 ± 0.3) reveal a 10–11 % higher compressibility compared to non-irradiated cordierite. While the higher compressibility is attributed to the previously reported irradiation-induced loss of extra-framework H2O, the anomalous elasticity as expressed by elastic softening (β a ?1 , β b ?1 , β c ?1  = 397 ± 9, 395 ± 28, 308 ± 11 GPa, ?(β ?1)/?P = ?4.5 ± 2.7, ?6.6 ± 8.4, ?5.4 ± 3.0) appears to be related to the framework stability and to be independent of the water content in the channels and thus of the ion beam exposure.  相似文献

Cylinders of synthetic periclase single crystals were annealed at 0.15–0.5 GPa and 900–1200 °C under water-saturated conditions for 45 min to 72 h. Infrared spectra measured on the quenched products show bands at 3,297 and 3,312 cm?1 indicating V OH ? centers (OH-defect stretching vibrations in a half-compensated cation vacancy) in the MgO structure as a result of proton diffusion into the crystal. For completely equilibrated specimens, the OH-defect concentration, expressed as H2O equivalent, was calculated to 3.5 wt ppm H2O at 1,200 °C and 0.5 GPa based on the calibration method of Libowitzky and Rossmann (Am Min 82:1111–1115, 1997). This value was confirmed via Raman spectroscopy, which shows OH-defect-related bands at identical wavenumbers and yields an H2O equivalent concentration of about 9 wt ppm using the quantification scheme of Thomas et al. (Am Min 93:1550–1557, 2008), revised by Mrosko et al. (Am Mineral 96:1748–1759, 2011). Results of both independent methods give an overall OH-defect concentration range of 3.5–9 (+4.5/?2.6) ppm H2O. Proton diffusion follows an Arrhenius law with an activation energy E a = 280 ± 64 kJ mol?1 and the logarithm of the pre-exponential factor logDo (m2 s?1) = ?2.4 ± 1.9. IR spectra taken close to the rims of MgO crystals that were exposed to water-saturated conditions at 1,200 °C and 0.5 GPa for 24 h show an additional band at 3,697 cm?1, which is related to brucite precipitates. This may be explained by diffusion of molecular water into the periclase, and its reaction with the host crystal during quenching. Diffusion of molecular water may be described by logDH2O (m2 s?1) = ?14.1 ± 0.4 (2σ) at 1,200 °C and 0.5 GPa, which is ~ 2 orders of magnitude slower than proton diffusion at identical P-T conditions.  相似文献

The thermodynamic properties of monohydrocalcite, CaCO3 · H2O, have been obtained using a well-characterized natural specimen. Equilibration of the solid with water at 25°C under 0.97 atm CO2 led to an activity product [Ca2+][CO32?] = 10?7.60±0.03 and a free energy of formation ΔGfo = ?325,430 ± 270 calmol?. The enthalpy of solution of monohydrocalcite in 0.1 N HCl at 25°C led to a standard enthalpy of formation ΔHfo = ?358,100 ± 280 cal mol?1. Estimates of the variation of ΔGf with temperature and pressure showed monohydrocalcite to be metastable with respect to calcite and aragonite.  相似文献

The behavior of the 0.1 mNaCl + 0.002 mHCl + 1.9 × 10?5 mUO2(NO3)2 solution was studied at pH from 2.7 to 11.0, 25°C, and 1 bar in an argon atmosphere. The curve of variations in U concentration exhibits two minima at pH = 6.6 ± 0.7 and 10.0 ± 0.5. These minima are related to the precipitation of schoepite and clarkeite, respectively. The experimental data were used to refine the stability constants of U(VI) (hydroxo) complexes. For the polymer species of U(VI) with charges from +2 to ?1, the method of additivity of thermochemical increments was used, and increments of the linear relation were determined for the calculation of the Gibbs free energies of formation (ΔfG 298.15 0 ) of respective homologue series. The proposed method was applied to calculate the ΔfG 298.15 0 of formation of U(VI) (hydroxo)complexes containing from one to five uranium atoms.  相似文献

In situ X-ray diffraction measurements of KAlSi3O8-hollandite (K-hollandite) were performed at pressures of 15–27 GPa and temperatures of 300–1,800 K using a Kawai-type apparatus. Unit-cell volumes obtained at various pressure and temperature conditions in a series of measurements were fitted to the high-temperature Birch-Murnaghan equation of state and a complete set of thermoelastic parameters was obtained with an assumed K300,0=4. The determined parameters are V 300,0=237.6(2) Å3, K 300,0=183(3) GPa, (?K T,0/?T) P =?0.033(2) GPa K?1, a 0=3.32(5)×10?5 K?1, and b 0=1.09(1)×10?8 K?2, where a 0 and b 0 are coefficients describing the zero-pressure thermal expansion: α T,0 = a 0 + b 0 T. We observed broadening and splitting of diffraction peaks of K-hollandite at pressures of 20–23 GPa and temperatures of 300–1,000 K. We attribute this to the phase transitions from hollandite to hollandite II that is an unquenchable high-pressure phase recently found. We determined the phase boundary to be P (GPa)=16.6 + 0.007 T (K). Using the equation of state parameters of K-hollandite determined in the present study, we calculated a density profile of a hypothetical continental crust (HCC), which consists only of K-hollandite, majorite garnet, and stishovite with 1:1:1 ratio in volume. Density of HCC is higher than the surrounding mantle by about 0.2 g cm?3 in the mantle transition zone while this relation is reversed below 660-km depth and HCC becomes less dense than the surrounding mantle by about 0.15 g cm?3 in the uppermost lower mantle. Thus the 660-km seismic discontinuity can be a barrier to prevent the transportation of subducted continental crust materials to the lower mantle and the subducted continental crust may reside at the bottom of the mantle transition zone.  相似文献

Vaterite is shown to be unstable with respect to calcite at 25°C by measurements of the enthalpies of solution in 0·1 N HCl under 0·97 atm CO2 and the solubilities in water under 0·97 atm CO2 of the two polymorphs. For a pure, synthetic vaterite ΔH (tr) = ?1036 ±16 cal mol?1 and ΔG(tr) = ?790 ± 25 cal mol?1 for the transition to calcite. For other vaterites aged longer during preparation ΔH(tr) is smaller and shows a linear relationship with the X-ray line broadening which extrapolates to ΔH(tr) = ?545 ± 30 cal mo?1 for zero broadening. The use of X-ray line broadening as a measure of crystal imperfection and stability is discussed for various synthetic and natural vaterites.  相似文献

Enthalpies and entropies of transition for the Mg2GeO4 olivine-spinel transformation have been determined from self-consistency analyses of Dachille and Roy's (1960), Hensen's (1977) and Shiota et al.'s (1981) phase boundary studies. When all three data sets are analyzed simultaneously,ΔH 973 andΔS 973 are constrained between ?14000 to ?15300 J mol?1 and ?13.0 to ?14.1·J mol?1 K?1, respectively. High-temperature solution calorimetric experiments completed on both polymorpha yield a value of ?14046±1366 J mol?1 forΔH 973. Kieffer-type lattice vibrational models of Mg2GeO4 olivine and spinel based on newly-measured infrared and Raman spectra predict a value of ?13.3±0.6 J mol?1 K?1 forΔS 1000. The excellent agreement between these three independent determinations ofΔH andΔS suggests that the synthesis runs of Shiota et al. (1981) at high pressures and temperatures bracket equilibrium conditions. In addition, no configurational disorder of Mg and Ge was needed to obtain the consistent parameters quoted. The Raman spectrum and X-ray diffractogram show that little disorder, if any, is present in Mg2GeO4 spinel synthesized at 0.2 GPa and 973–1048 K.  相似文献

The experimental dissolution of zircon into a zircon-undersaturated felsic melt of variable water content at high pressure in the temperature range 1,020° to 1,500° C provides information related to 1) the solubility of zircon, 2) the diffusion kinetics of Zr in an obsidian melt, and 3) the rate of zircon dissolution. Zirconium concentration profiles observed by electron microprobe in the obsidian glass adjacent to a large, polished zircon face provide sufficient information to calculate model diffusion coefficients. Results of dissolution experiments conducted in the virtual absence of water (<0.2% H2O) yield an activation energy (E) for Zr transport in a melt ofM=1.3 [whereM is the cation ratio (Na+K+2Ca)/(Al·Si)] of 97.7±2.8 kcal-mol?1, and a frequency factor (D 0) of 980 ?580 +1,390 cm2-sec?1. Hydrothermal experiments provide an E=47.3±1.9 kcal-mol?1 andD 0=0.030 ?0.015 +0.030 cm2-sec?1. Both of these results plot close to a previously defined diffusion compensation line for cations in obsidian. The diffusivity of Zr at 1,200° C increases by a factor of 100 over the first 2% of water introduced into the melt, but subsequently rises by only a factor of five to an apparent plateau value of ~2×10?9 cm2-sec?1 by ~6% total water content. The remarkable contrast between the wet and dry diffusivities, which limits the rate of zircon dissolution into granitic melt, indicates that a 50 μm diameter zircon crystal would dissolve in a 3 to 6% water-bearing melt at 750° C in about 100 years, but would require in excess of 200 Ma to dissolve in an equivalent dry system. From this calculation we conclude that zircon dissolution proceeds geologically instantaneously in an undersaturated, water-bearing granite. Estimates of zircon solubility in the obsidian melt in the temperature range of 1,020° C to 1,500° C confirm and extend an existing model of zircon solubility to these higher temperatures in hydrous melts. However, this model does not well describe zircon saturation behavior in systems with less than about 2% water.  相似文献

Abstract In the Twin Lakes area, central Sierra Nevada, California, most contact metamorphosed marbles contain calcite + dolomite + forsterite ± diopside ± phlogopite ± tremolite, and most calc-silicate hornfelses contain calcite + diopside + wollastonite + quartz ± anorthite ± K-feldspar ± grossular ± titanite. Mineral-fluid equilibria involving calcite + dolomite + tremolite + diopside + forsterite in two marble samples and wollastonite + anorthite + quartz + grossular in three hornfels samples record P± 3 kbar and T± 630° C. Various isobaric univariant assemblages record CO2-H2O fluid compositions of χCO2= 0.61–0.74 in the marbles and χCO2= 0.11 in the hornfelses. Assuming a siliceous dolomitic limestone protolith consisting of dolomite + quartz ° Calcite ± K-feldspar ± muscovite ± rutile, all plausible prograde reaction pathways were deduced for marble and hornfels on isobaric T-XCO2 diagrams in the model system K2O-CaO-MgO-Al2O3-SiO2-H2O-CO2. Progress of the prograde reactions was estimated from measured modes and mass-balance calculations. Time-integrated fluxes of reactive fluid which infiltrated samples were computed for a temperature gradient of 150 °C/km along the fluid flow path, calculated fluid compositions, and estimated reaction progress using the mass-continuity equation. Marbles and hornfelses record values in the range 0.1–3.6 × 104 cm3/cm2 and 4.8–12.9 × 104 cm3/cm2, respectively. For an estimated duration of metamorphism of 105 years, average in situ metamorphic rock permeabilities, calculated from Darcy's Law, are 0.1–8 × 10?6 D in the marbles and 10–27 × 10?6 D in the hornfelses. Reactive metamorphic fluids flowed up-temperature, and were preferentially channellized in hornfelses relative to the marbles. These results appear to give a general characterization of hydrothermal activity during contact metamorphism of small pendants and screens (dimensions ± 1 km or less) associated with emplacement of the Sierra Nevada batholith.  相似文献

{M[UO2¦AsO4]2 · nH2O} with M=Cu2+, Co2+, Ni2+ has been synthesized from reagent grade chemicals and by ion exchange of trögerite {HUO2AsO4 · 4 H2O}. Synthetic meta-zeunerite (M=Cu2+), meta-kirchheimerite (M=Co2+) and nickel-uranylarsenate are all tetragonal. The cell parameters determined from Guinier-Hägg diffraction data for {Cu[UO2¦AsO4]2 · 8 H2O} are a=b=7.10 Å and c=17.42 Å, with Z=2 and the measured density 3.70 g cm?3. The cell parameters for {Co[UO2¦AsO4]2 · 7 H2O} and {Ni[UO2¦AsO4]2 · 7 H2O} are a=b=20.25 Å and c=17.20 Å, with Z=16 and the measured density 3.82 and 3.74 g cm?3, respectively. The solubility products for synthetic Cu-, Co- and Ni-uranylarsenate at 25° C are 10?49.20, 10?45.34 and 10?45.10, respectively. The zeta-potential remains negative between pH=2 and pH=9 and is strongly affected by the presence of different cations.  相似文献

Mössbauer spectra (MS) of anapaite (Ca2 Fe2+(PO4)2?·?4H2O) and of a sample after being immersed in a 4% H2O2 solution at room temperature (RT) over 12 days (hereafter an4ox) were collected at temperatures in the range 4.2 to 420?K and 11 to 300?K respectively. All MS consist of symmetrical doublets, hence magnetic ordering was not observed. The temperature dependencies of the Fe2+ centre shifts of anapaite and an4ox were analysed with the Debye model for the lattice vibrations. The characteristic Mössbauer temperatures were found as 370?K?±?25?K and 340?K?±?25?K, and the intrinsic isomer shifts as 1.427?±?0.005?mm/s and 1.418?±?0.005?mm/s respectively. From the external-field (60?kOe) MS recorded at 4.2 and 189?K for the non-treated sample, the principal component V zz of the electric field gradient (EFG) is determined to be positive and the asymmetry parameter η?≈?0.2 and 0.4 respectively. The temperature variations of the quadrupole splittings, ΔE Q(T), cannot be interpreted on the basis of the thermal population of the 5 D electronic levels resulting from the tetragonal compression of the O6 co-ordination. The low-temperature linear behaviour of ΔE Q(T) is attributed to a strong orbit-lattice coupling. A field of 60 kOe applied to anapaite at 4.2?K produces magnetic hyperfine splitting with effective hyperfine fields of ?136, ?254 and ?171?kOe along the principal axes Ox, Oy and Oz of the EFG tensor respectively. Additional oxidation treatments in solutions with various H2O2 concentrations up to 20% and subsequent Mössbauer experiments at room temperature, have revealed that the anapaite structure is not sensitive to oxidation since eventually only a small amount of Fe2+ (~6.5%) is converted into Fe3+.  相似文献
