We present experimental results showing the impact of the proposed LightSquared (LS) Long-term Evolution (LTE) signals on both GPS and Galileo civil modulations in the L1/E1 band. The experiments were conducted in radiated mode in a large anechoic chamber. Three Galileo enabled receivers were chosen for the tests, and a state of the art GNSS signal generator was used to simulate both GPS and Galileo signals. The LTE signals were generated by an Agilent Programmable Signal Generator with a license to generate the signals according to the 3GPP LTE FDD standard. The interference impact was measured in terms of a Carrier-to-Noise power spectral density ratio (C/N 0) degradation, in accordance with the methodology which the LS/GPS Technical Working Group (TWG) established by mandate of the FCC. A model for determining the impact of the LS signal on the considered GNSS signals is provided and is validated against experimental data. It is shown that the Galileo E1 Open Service (OS) signal is marginally more susceptible to this form of interference than the GPS L1 C/A signal due to its greater proximity to the lower edge of the L1 band. The impact of LS interference was further analyzed in terms of pseudorange and position errors. Despite its relevance for most GNSS users, this aspect was not considered by the TWG. Measurement and position domain analysis along with the study of the LS impact on the Galileo OS signals are the major contributions. The analysis confirms the results obtained by the TWG and shows that the receiver front-end plays a major role in protecting GNSS signals against RF interference. While it appears that, for now, the LS network will not be deployed, the approach taken and the results obtained herein can be readily adapted for any future terrestrial mobile network that may take the place of LS.  相似文献

针对传统的互复用调制方法中,8种不同的输入信号组合值与6个不同相位量之间对应关系模糊的问题,提出了三码八相的互复用调制方法。基于三码八相互复用调制方法,利用与3路输入信号相关的指数因子,推导出了新的互复用基带调制信号表达式,实现了复用调制信号的相位翻转,得到了8个不同的相位值。仿真结果显示,三码八相互复用调制方法,保证了复用调制信号的恒包络特性,解决了输入码组合值与相位量之间对应关系的模糊度问题,研究结果对于GNSS组合中的信号调制有一定的参考价值。  相似文献

伽利略卫星导航系统的第一颗实验卫星已经发射到太空。在信号调制方面,除使用二元偏置载波(BOC)调制技术外,还首次使用了交替二元偏置载波(ALTBOC)调制技术。总结了伽利略卫星导航系统各信号的信号调制方式、各频段的信号调制体制,特别是BOC调制及ALTBOC调制技术的基本原理。然后,通过对伽利略卫星导航系统调制参数变动过程的研究,分析了在频谱及调制体制方面伽利略卫星导航系统与GPS的兼容性。  相似文献

In late December 2005 the GIOVE-A test satellite was launched by the European Space Agency (ESA) to secure the frequencies for the Galileo system and to provide a platform for testing the new navigation signals. We performed an initial assessment of these signals using the 30 m deep space antenna of the DLR ground station in Weilheim (Germany). The antenna gain raised the signals above the noise level, thus allowing a detailed analysis even without knowledge of the ranging codes. The present paper covers the analysis of the L1/E1 signals, which includes a discussion of the spectrum, the time domain signal and a decoding of the spreading codes for the Open Service.  相似文献

The objective of this work is to investigate the performances of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) and minimum frequency shift keying (MSK) modulations as potential future global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) signal modulation schemes. MSK is used in global system for mobile communications because of its spectral efficiency, while OFDM is used in WLAN and digital video broadcast-terrestrial because of its multipath mitigation capability. These advantages of MSK and OFDM modulations render them as promising modulation candidates for future GNSS signals to offer enhanced performances in challenging environments. Gabor bandwidth and multipath error envelopes of these two modulations were computed and compared with those of the current global positioning system (GPS), Galileo, and Beidou signal modulations. The results show that OFDM modulation demonstrated promises as a viable future GNSS modulation, especially for signals that require pre-filtering bandwidths larger than 2 MHz, while MSK modulation is more desirable for pre-filtering bandwidth below 2 MHz where it exhibits the largest Gabor bandwidth.  相似文献

The Galileo E5a/E5b signals and the Global Positioning System (GPS) L5 signal lie within the aeronautical radionavigation services (ARNS) band. They suffer interference from the services in this frequency band, in particular, pulsed signals from distance measuring equipment (DME) and tactical air navigation (TACAN) systems. To maintain system accuracy and integrity, interference mitigation is beneficial and necessary. We first present the real DME/TACAN environment at Stanford, CA as an example to illustrate the need for mitigating DME/TACAN interference. We then propose a time and frequency joint mitigation algorithm—Hybrid Blanking and its simplified version, frequency domain adaptive filtering (FDAF) for hardware implementation. Finally, a flight measurements campaign was performed over a European DME/TACAN hotspot near Frankfurt, Germany, to record a worst-case DME interference environment. Recorded data from the flight tests mixed with injected GNSS signals verify the effectiveness of the proposed mitigation algorithm.  相似文献

在Galileo系统建设和GPS现代化的进程中,为实现与BPSK(Bi-phase Shift Keying)的频谱分离,采用了BOC(Binary Offset Carrier)调制。BOC调制在码跟踪精度、多径抑制等方面比BPSK调制具有更好的性能,但其自相关函数的多相关峰特性使得在测距中可能产生偏差,因此,消除相关峰的模糊度是BOC信号接收中非常关键的问题。介绍了一种基于QBOC码的BOC信号码跟踪环路(“BOC十QBOC-BOC”),并推导出该环路码跟踪性能的解析表达式,最后的仿真结果验证了理论推导的正确性,可为BOC信号接收机的设计提供参考。  相似文献

针对导航信号的多径误差分析,在多径误差包络曲线分析方法基础上提出了多径误差包络期望分析方法。与包络曲线分析方法相比,包络期望分析方法能够定量分析导航信号多径误差。基于包络期望分析方法,对同码速率的二进制偏移载波(BOC)调制导航信号与二进制相位控键(BPSK)调制导航信号的多径误差进行了对比分析。结果表明,BOC调制导航信号具有更小的典型多径误差。  相似文献

The Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS), which is being developed for positioning services in and around India, is the latest addition to the global family of satellite-based navigation systems. As IRNSS only shares the L5-frequency with GPS, the European Galileo, and the Japanese Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS), it has at least at present a limited interoperability with the existing systems. Noting that the L5-frequency capability is under development even for GPS, this contribution assesses the interoperability of the IRNSS L5-signal with the GPS, Galileo, and QZSS L5/E5a-signals for positioning and navigation using real data collected in Perth, Australia. First, the noise characteristic of the IRNSS L5-signal and its comparison with that of the GPS, Galileo, and QZSS L1/E1- and L5/E5a-signals is presented. Then, the L5-observables of combined systems (formed from IRNSS, GPS, Galileo, and QZSS) are assessed for real-time kinematic positioning using the standard LAMBDA method and for instantaneous attitude determination using the constrained LAMBDA method. The results show that the IRNSS L5-signal has comparable noise characteristics as that of the other L5/E5a-signals. For single-frequency carrier phase-based positioning and navigation, the results show better ambiguity resolution performance of L5/E5a-only processing than that of L1/E1-only processing.  相似文献

The world of global navigation satellite systems has been enhanced with several new or improved signals in space aiming to optimize accuracy, reliability, navigation solution, and interoperability between different constellations. However, such developments bring various challenges to the receivers’ designers. For example, acquisition and tracking stages turn into more complex processes while handling the increasing bandwidth requires additional processing power. In this context, we study the code tracking of Galileo E5ab in a full band or of only one of its components, i.e., either E5a or E5b. More specifically, an architecture for tracking the E5 pilot channel as an AltBOC(15,10) or BPSK(10) modulation is introduced, and the performance of well-known discriminator types is analyzed using analytical derivations and simulations of linearity and stability regions, thermal noise tracking errors, multipath error envelopes and tracking thresholds. Different parameters, such as the front-end filter bandwidth, the early/late chip spacing, un-normalized and normalized discriminators, are taken into consideration. The results obtained are used to illustrate the main advantages and drawbacks of tracking the E5 signal as well as to help defining the main tracking loop parameters for an enhanced performance.  相似文献

Knowledge of inter-system biases (ISBs) is essential to combine observations of multiple global and regional navigation satellite systems (GNSS/RNSS) in an optimal way. Earlier studies based on GPS, Galileo, BDS and QZSS have demonstrated that the performance of multi-GNSS real-time kinematic positioning is improved when the differential ISBs (DISBs) corresponding to signals of different constellations but transmitted at identical frequencies can be calibrated, such that only one common pivot satellite is sufficient for inter-system ambiguity resolution at that particular frequency. Recently, many new GNSS satellites have been launched. At the beginning of 2016, there were 12 Galileo IOV/FOC satellites and 12 GPS Block IIF satellites in orbit, while the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) had five satellites launched of which four are operational. More launches are scheduled for the coming years. As a continuation of the earlier studies, we analyze the magnitude and stability of the DISBs corresponding to these new satellites. For IRNSS this article presents for the first time DISBs with respect to the L5/E5a signals of GPS, Galileo and QZSS for a mixed-receiver baseline. It is furthermore demonstrated that single-frequency (L5/E5a) ambiguity resolution is tremendously improved when the multi-GNSS observations are all differenced with respect to a common pivot satellite, compared to classical differencing for which a pivot satellite is selected for each constellation.  相似文献

Modern Global Navigation Satellite System including Galileo and GPS III will employ multiplexed binary offset carrier (MBOC) modulation to achieve spectrum separation and enhanced tracking performance. A challenge of the MBOC or BOC signal tracking is the presence of ambiguities due to multiple sidepeaks of the autocorrelation functions. Several different techniques including multi-correlator and double estimator schemes have been proposed to address the ambiguity issue. We propose a class of ambiguity-free code tracking techniques by exploiting the unique features of the BOC modulation. In the proposed architecture, the incoming BOC-modulated signals are correlated with BOC-modulated replica and the spreading codes, respectively. Through a multiplicative combination strategy of the two correlator outputs, a noncoherent weighted discriminator is formed and shown to possess the ambiguity-free property. The multipath effect is assessed and compared with existing early-minus-late power and autocorrelation sidepeak cancellation technique discriminators. The noise effects of the theory and simulation are also discussed. In order to further verify the proposed scheme, a set of field data of a Galileo in-orbit validation satellite is collected and processed. It is demonstrated that the proposed method is simple to implement, free from ambiguities, and yields acceptable performance in the presence of multipath and noise.  相似文献

通过分析A1tBOC(15,10)信号的功率谱密度、自相关函数,得出该信号在码跟踪性能上的理论优势,并根据Betz码跟踪评估理论仿真分析了接收机前端带宽、相关器间隔、环路鉴别器类型、载噪比以及全频带和单边带两种接收方式对该信号码跟踪精度的影响,并且通过与BPSK(10)、BOC(15,10)和单边带AltBoc(15,10)信号对比,得出AltBOC(15,10)信号在码跟踪精度上的优势,为AltBOC接收机设计提供理论依据。  相似文献

北斗三号卫星导航系统(BeiDou-3 navigation satellite system, BDS-3)已全面建成并向全球用户提供可靠的定位、导航和授时(positioning, navigation and timing, PNT)服务。为了实现与其他全球卫星导航系统(global navigation satellite system, GNSS)的兼容性和互操作性,BDS-3在BDS-2的基础上调制了B1C和B2a两个新信号,与伽利略系统(Galileo)的E1和E5a实现了频率的复用。系统间偏差(inter-system bias, ISB)对于实现不同GNSS之间的融合处理至关重要,为此提出了基于单差模型的ISB估计与应用算法,并对BDS-3与Galileo重叠频率之间的ISB进行了分析。基于可跟踪BDS-3新信号的几类接收机,揭示了BDS-3和Galileo之间的ISB的特性,在此基础上分析了BDS-3和Galileo组合的实时动态(real-time kinematic, RTK)定位性能。结果表明,基于相同类型的接收机B1C-E1和B2a-E5a之间是不存在ISB...  相似文献

随着卫星导航信号的发展,BOC调制信号被广泛应用,然而,根据最新的研究发现,BOC信号在同步捕获方面还有许多新的挑战。考虑到副峰抑制方面现有方法的不足,本文研究BOC(2n,n)信号的特征并基于多通道相关函数的连接提出CCFR算法。通过理论研究和仿真模拟,CCFR算法可以消除第一副峰并且可以抑制其它次的副峰。且副峰抑制的性能方面优于现有的算法。   相似文献
