Longer sequences of attitude data for SPOT 1 were constructed by concatenation of the attitude information in several consecutive scenes in selected orbits. The attitude time series were used to estimate models for the attitude variogram functions. Explicit expressions for these models are given, which can be used in multi-scene adjustment of SPOT imagery.  相似文献

本文从理论上分析了以全数字化方法从SPOT影象提取高程信息关键环节上的问题和所采取的方法。根据影象成象特点,采用时序变化的外方位元素数学模型,其中精确选取控制点、合理选取初值和确定等效焦距、线元素和角元素分开解算迭代是十分重要的措施。采用新的数据组织方法可以避免高程内插中的精度损失。利用卫星影象特点,实现由粗到精的多级影象匹配,同时引人改化的高精度最小二乘匹配,使整个匹配过程既保障了可靠性又满足精度要求。马赛地区SPOT象对窗的DEM生成结果表明,在影象质量得到保证,时差不大的前提下,可以达到10米高程精度。  相似文献

This paper describes a method for pass processing of IRS-1C/1D imagery acquired by the three CCD arrays of the panchromatic (PAN) camera. It is based on the fact that during a single pass, the image data stream from the three CCD arrays of the PAN camera can be adjusted together as a single image, exploiting the knowledge of the internal geometry and the angular relationships between the CCD arrays. The geometry of this extended image can be rectified with a single ground control point (GCP). A full PAN scene consists of nine subscenes, each with a dimension of 23.5 km×23.5 km. The method is not restricted in the number of continuous full scenes (in the same pass) that can be adjusted. The scale variations between the images from the three detectors are corrected by computing the relative focal lengths of detectors 1 and 3 with respect to detector 2. Two tests were conducted to verify the accuracy of the adjustment procedure. Average root-mean-square (RMS) errors of ±10.5 m in the latitude direction and ±11.3 m in the longitude direction were obtained with a single surveyed GCP and a set of survey points used as checkpoints. The results of the tests show that the adjustment of full PAN scenes, as proposed in this paper, is an effective means of reducing the number of GCPs required for precise determination of ground coordinates.  相似文献

The aim of the study was to elaborate a methodology for forest mapping based on high resolution satellite data, relevant for reporting on forest cover and spatial pattern changes in Europe. The Carpathians were selected as a case study area and mapped using 24 Landsat scenes, processed independently with a supervised approach combining image segmentation, knowledge-based rules to extract a training set and the maximum likelihood decision rule. Validation was done with available very high resolution imagery. Overall accuracies per scene ranged from 93 to 96%. The labelling disagreement in overlapping areas of adjacent scenes was 6.8% on average.  相似文献

SAR stereo image analysis for 3D information extraction is mostly carried out based on imagery taken under same-side or opposite-side viewing conditions. For urban scenes in practice stereo is up to now usually restricted to the first configuration, because increasing image dissimilarity connected with rising illumination direction differences leads to a lack of suitable features for matching, especially in the case of low or medium resolution data. However, due to two developments SAR stereo from arbitrary viewing conditions becomes an interesting option for urban information extraction. The first one is the availability of airborne sensor systems, which are capable of more flexible data acquisition in comparison to satellite sensors. This flexibility enables multi-aspect analysis of objects in built-up areas for various kinds of purpose, such as building recognition, road network extraction, or traffic monitoring. The second development is the significant improvement of the geometric resolution providing a high level of detail especially of roof features, which can be observed from a wide span of viewpoints. In this paper, high-resolution SAR images of an urban scene are analyzed in order to infer buildings and their height from the different layover effects in views taken from orthogonal aspect angles. High level object matching is proposed that relies on symbolic data, representing suitable features of urban objects. Here, a knowledge-based approach is applied, which is realized by a production system that codes a set of suitable principles of perceptual grouping in its production rules. The images are analyzed separately for the presence of certain object groups and their characteristics frequently appearing on buildings, such as salient rows of point targets, rectangular structures or symmetries. The stereo analysis is then accomplished by means of productions that combine and match these 2D image objects and infer their height by 3D clustering. The approach is tested using real SAR data of an urban scene.  相似文献

The relative abundance and distribution of trees in savannas has important implications for ecosystem function. High spatial resolution satellite sensors, including QuickBird and IKONOS, have been successfully used to map tree cover patterns in savannas. SPOT 5, with a 2.5 m panchromatic band and 10 m multispectral bands, represents a relatively coarse resolution sensor within this context, but has the advantage of being relatively inexpensive and more widely available. This study evaluates the performance of NDVI threshold and object based image analysis techniques for mapping tree canopies from QuickBird and SPOT 5 imagery in two savanna systems in southern Africa. High thematic mapping accuracies were obtained with the QuickBird imagery, independent of mapping technique. Geometric properties of the mapping indicated that the NDVI threshold produced smaller patch sizes, but that overall patch size distributions were similar. Tree canopy mapping using SPOT 5 imagery and an NDVI threshold approach performed poorly, however acceptable thematic accuracies were obtained from the object based image analysis. Although patch sizes were generally larger than those mapped from the QuickBird image data, patch size distributions mapped with object based image analysis of SPOT 5 have a similar form to the QuickBird mapping. This indicates that SPOT 5 imagery is suitable for regional studies of tree canopy cover patterns.  相似文献

Abstract

An innovative and practical satellite image product is described that is ideal for applications in Northern Canada because of its wide area coverage and mapping-quality features. This product is generated from a new procedure developed at the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing (CCRS) for processing Landsat 7 imagery, and by extension, imagery from other Earth Observation satellites. By working with multiple satellite passes, each containing the equivalent of multiple scenes, the new procedure could dramatically reduce the turn-around time for generating georeferenced image products, and also increase their geometric and radiometric accuracy compared to those produced by the current methods. The objective of the process has been to generate satellite image mosaics covering large areas (e.g. >500 000 km2) with uniformly distributed errors at sub-pixel resolution. The paper discusses the theoretical basis of a photogrammetric adjustment for satellite imagery and the results obtained from several tests. The process is generic, involving a sensor model, a satellite orbit model and ground control information; thus it may be easily adapted to any satellite that allows for repeat coverage with overlapping paths. By performing an adjustment to correct the satellite position and attitude data prior to the production of orthoimage products, it is possible to create a mosaic with a single resampling process which minimises both the radiometric and geometric resampling artifacts. The results from three separate tests are presented, along with a discussion of the procedures that were followed in each case. All three tests have successfully demonstrated that sub-pixel sample size errors may be consistently obtained over large areas. A by-product process developed to support the measurement of ground control point coordinates for the satellite adjustment was the automatic matching of geographic features such as lakes and islands in vector data format. This has been a significant development in that it has eliminated manual intervention in the measurement of these features in the imagery, allowing the ground control for entire passes containing several scenes to be obtained in minutes instead of hours.  相似文献

Assessing spatial scenes for similarity is difficult from a cognitive and computational perspective. Solutions to spatial‐scene similarity assessments are sensible only if corresponding elements in the compared scenes are identified correctly. This matching process becomes increasingly complex and error‐prone for large spatial scenes as it is questionable how to choose one set of associations over another or how to account quantitatively for unmatched elements. We develop a comprehensive methodology for similarity queries over spatial scenes that incorporates cognitively motivated approaches about scene comparisons, together with explicit domain knowledge about spatial objects and their relations for the relaxation of spatial query constraints. Along with a sound graph‐theoretical methodology, this approach provides the foundation for plausible reasoning about spatial‐scene similarity queries.  相似文献

线阵推扫式影像外方位元素间的强相关性,导致法方程病态,外方位元素的最小二乘估计值误差较大.本文提出采用岭-压缩组合估计解决线阵列推扫式影像的外定向问题.该算法是综合岭估计和压缩估计的一种新有偏算法,它通过对最小二乘估计值的不同分量进行不同比例的压缩使估计值最优.文中采用10 m分辨率的SPOT 1全色影像和2.5 m分辨率的SPOT 5全色影像进行实验,并与商业遥感软件Erdas的实验结果进行比较.研究结果表明该算法能有效地克服线阵推扫式影像外方位元素间的相关性,定位精度较高,定向点精度在1个像素内,检查点精度在1.5个像素内,达到Erdas软件的定位精度.  相似文献

This study presents an approach for the automatic extraction of dynamic sub-boundaries within existing agricultural fields from remote sensing imagery using perceptual grouping. We define sub-boundaries as boundaries, where a change in crop type takes a place within the fixed geometry of an agricultural field. To perform field-based processing and analysis operations, the field boundary data and satellite imagery are integrated. The edge pixels are detected using the Canny edge detector. The edge pixels are then analyzed to find the connected edge chains and from these chains the line segments are detected using the graph-based vectorization method. The spurious line segments are eliminated through a line simplification process. The perceptual grouping of the line segments is employed for detecting sub-boundaries and constructing sub-fields within the fixed geometry of agricultural fields. Our strategy for perceptual grouping involves the Gestalt laws of proximity, continuation, symmetry and closure. The processing and analysis operations are carried out on field-by-field basis. For each field, the geometries of sub-boundaries are determined through analyzing the line segments that fall within the field and the extracted sub-boundaries are integrated with the fixed geometry of the field.The experimental validation of the approach was carried out on the SPOT4 multispectral (XS) and SPOT5 XS images that cover an agricultural area located in the north-west section of Turkey. The overall matching percentages between the reference data and the automatically extracted sub-boundaries were computed to be 82.6% and 76.2% for the SPOT5 and SPOT4 images respectively. The higher matching percentage of the SPOT5 image is due to the fact that some of the boundaries present in the SPOT5 image were not detected in the coarser resolution SPOT4 image. For the SPOT5 image, of the total 292 fields processed, 177 showed a total agreement between the detected segments and the reference data. For the SPOT4 image, 154 fields showed a total agreement between the detected segments and the reference data.  相似文献

Large area tree maps, important for environmental monitoring and natural resource management, are often based on medium resolution satellite imagery. These data have difficulty in detecting trees in fragmented woodlands, and have significant omission errors in modified agricultural areas. High resolution imagery can better detect these trees, however, as most high resolution imagery is not normalised it is difficult to automate a tree classification method over large areas. The method developed here used an existing medium resolution map derived from either Landsat or SPOT5 satellite imagery to guide the classification of the high resolution imagery. It selected a spatially-variable threshold on the green band, calculated based on the spatially-variable percentage of trees in the existing map of tree cover. The green band proved more consistent at classifying trees across different images than several common band combinations. The method was tested on 0.5 m resolution imagery from airborne digital sensor (ADS) imagery across New South Wales (NSW), Australia using both Landsat and SPOT5 derived tree maps to guide the threshold selection. Accuracy was assessed across 6 large image mosaics revealing a more accurate result when the more accurate tree map from SPOT5 imagery was used. The resulting maps achieved an overall accuracy with 95% confidence intervals of 93% (90–95%), while the overall accuracy of the previous SPOT5 tree map was 87% (86–89%). The method reduced omission errors by mapping more scattered trees, although it did increase commission errors caused by dark pixels from water, building shadows, topographic shadows, and some soils and crops. The method allows trees to be automatically mapped at 5 m resolution from high resolution imagery, provided a medium resolution tree map already exists.  相似文献

由于中高分辨率遥感影像数据时序性不强,分类过程中无法准确记录地物的时序特征。为增加地物时序变化特征,本文使用时空融合模型重建高时序高分辨率遥感影像,分析加入时相特征对分类结果的影响。以河北省石家庄市中部地区为例,本文采用3种时空融合模型重建高时序的30 m分辨率的遥感影像,增加影像时序分类特征,采用随机森林对年度重建时序影像分类,分析不同重建时序影像数量和不同时间跨度对分类结果的影响。试验表明,通过重建年度时序影像分类比单一影像分类精度增强;分类精度随着时序影像数量增加而增大,当时序影像数量选定为12景,也就是1月1景时,分类精度趋于稳定;不同时间段对分类结果影像程度不同,引入植被变化期间的时序影像,分类精度最高。  相似文献

Smartphones can be operated in a 3G network environment at any time or location, and they also cost less than existing photogrammetric UAV systems, providing high-resolution images and 3D location and attitude data from a variety of built-in sensors. This study aims to assess the feasibility of using a smartphone as the payload for a photogrammetric UAV system. To carry out the assessment, a smartphone-based photogrammetric UAV system was developed and utilized to obtain image, location, and attitude data under both static and dynamic conditions. The accuracy of the location and attitude data obtained and sent by this system was then evaluated. The smartphone images were converted into ortho-images via image triangulation, which was carried out both with and without consideration of the interior orientation (IO) parameters determined by camera calibration. In the static experiment, when the IO parameters were taken into account, the triangulation results were less than 1.28 pixels (RMSE) for all smartphone types, an improvement of at least 47% compared with the case when IO parameters were not taken into account. In the dynamic experiment, on the other hand, the accuracy of smartphone image triangulation was not significantly improved by considering IO parameters. This was because the electronic rolling shutter within the complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) sensor built into the smartphone and the actuator for the voice coil motor (VCM)-type auto-focusing affected by the vibration and the speed of the UAV, which is likely to have a negative effect on image-based digital elevation model (DEM) generation. However, considering that these results were obtained using a single smartphone, this suggests that a smartphone is not only feasible as the payload for a photogrammetric UAV system but it may also play a useful role when installed in existing UAV systems.  相似文献
