Organic geochemical and petrological assessment of coals/coaly shales and fine grained sediments, coupled with organic geochemical analyses of oil samples, all from Permo–Triassic sections of the Southern Sydney Basin (Australia), have enabled identification of the source for the widely distributed oil shows and oil seeps in this region. The Permian coals have higher hydrogen indices, higher liptinite contents, and much higher total organic matter extract yields than the fine grained sediments. A variety of source specific parameters obtained from n-alkanes, regular isoprenoids, terpanes, steranes and diasteranes indicate that the oil shows and seeps were generated and expelled predominantly from higher plant derived organic matter deposited in oxic environments. The source and maturity related biomarkers and aromatic hydrocarbon distributions of the oils are similar to those of the coals. The oil-coal relationship also is demonstrated by similarities in the carbon isotopic composition of the total oils, coal extracts, and their individual n-alkanes. Extracts from the Permo–Triassic fine grained sediments, on the other hand, have organic geochemical signatures indicative of mixed terrestrial and prokaryotic organic matter deposited in suboxic environments, which are significantly different from both the oils and coal extracts. The molecular signatures indicating the presence of prokaryotic organic matter in some of the coal extracts and oils may be due to thin sections of possibly calcareous lithologies interbedded within the coal measures. The genetic relationship between the oils and coals provides new evidence for the generation and expulsion of oils from the Permian coals and raises the possibility for commercial oil accumulations in the Permian and Early Triassic sandstones, potentially in the deeper offshore part of the Sydney Basin.  相似文献

依据烃源岩有机质丰度、有机质类型、有机质成熟度和可溶有机质特征分析,发现柴达木盆地北缘东段上石炭统泥质烃源岩有机碳含量平均为1.26%,有机质类型主要以Ⅲ型和Ⅱ型为主;碳酸盐岩有机质丰度较低,平均为0.24%,有机质类型较好,为Ⅱ和Ⅰ型;有机质正处于成熟阶段后期-高成熟早期,有的还处在大量生烃阶段,表明上石炭统烃源岩达到中等—好生油岩级别。石炭系烃源岩有机质形成于较强还原条件下的咸水环境,具有丰富的低等水生生物和藻类母质输入。运用地球化学指标和柴达木盆地北缘各构造带原油系统对比研究,表明石炭系烃源岩对冷湖、南八仙构造带原油没有实质性的贡献。马北构造带个别原油样品中表现出存在来源于石炭系烃源岩的油源,揭示柴达木盆地北缘东段石炭系烃源岩是不可忽视的又一套烃源岩。  相似文献

以大量烃源岩样品地球化学分析为基础,综合应用钻井以及地震等地质资料,从有机质丰度、类型、成熟度、母质来源、沉积环境以及生物标志物等方面对乌石凹陷流沙港组烃源岩地球化学特征进行了研究。研究结果表明,流三段发育于还原湖泊环境,有机质丰度较高,类型主要为Ⅱ1-Ⅱ2型;流二段沉积于弱还原至还原环境,有机质丰度最高,尤其是流二段油页岩基本为优质烃源岩,有机质类型以Ⅱ1-Ⅱ2型为主;流一段沉积于偏氧化性湖泊环境,有机质丰度最低,类型以Ⅱ2-Ⅲ型为主。依据烃源岩综合演化剖面,将其热演化过程划分为未成熟、低成熟、成熟和高成熟4个阶段,确定了烃源岩生烃门限深度为2900m,生烃高峰位于3600m。低伽马蜡烷指数显示流沙港组沉积时期水体为淡水环境,丰富的4-甲基甾烷表明水生低等植物对烃源岩母质来源有较大贡献。  相似文献

This work characterizes the source rock potential of the Tarfaya Basin and enabled us to reconstruct its geochemical history. Outcrop samples covering different stratigraphic intervals, plus the northwestern part of the Zag/Tindouf Basin (Bas Draa area), were analyzed for total organic carbon (Corg) and total inorganic carbon contents and total sulfur content. Rock-Eval analysis and vitrinite reflectance measurements were performed on 56 samples chosen on the basis Corg content. A set of 45 samples were extracted and non-aromatic hydrocarbons were analyzed by way of gas chromatography-flame ionization detection (GC-FID) and GC-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Non-isothermal open system pyrolysis at different heating rates was applied to obtain kinetic parameters for modelling petroleum generation from four different source rocks.High quality petroleum source rocks with high Corg content and hydrogen index (HI) values were found for samples of Eocene, Coniacian, Turonian and Cenomanian age. Most samples were carbonate rich and organic/sulfur values were high to moderate. Various maturity parameters indicated immature or possibly early mature organic matter. Based on organic geochemical and petrological data, the organic matter is of marine/aquatic origin (Cenomanian) or a mixture of aquatic and terrigenous material (Eocene). The Early Cretaceous interval did not contain high quality source rocks, but indications of petroleum impregnation were found.  相似文献

The study area is the southern depocenter (depth > 4200 m) of the Mesohellenic Basin which extends between Kipourio and Grevena, central Greece. The Mesohellenic Basin is a Middle-Tertiary intramontane basin developed within the Hellenide orogen. Previous studies have focused on the depositional environments, configuration and hydrocarbon potential of the basin. In this paper we present additional geochemical and petrographic data from outcrop samples of the basin's southern depocenter, which is considered the most promising area, in terms of hydrocarbon prospectivity. A total number of thirty six samples were analysed: Rock-Eval pyrolysis, maceral analysis, vitrinite reflectance and thermal alteration index, bitumens extraction, liquid chromatography, and GC-MS. The samples were collected from deltaic deposits and submarine fan sediments of Late Eocene to Late Oligocene age. The TOC values of the analysed samples range between rich and very rich and the organic matter consists mainly of type III kerogen and the organic matter consider to be predominately gas prone. The thermal maturity assessed from Tmax and vitrinite reflectance shows an immature stage of the organic matter along with the presence of layers having reached the very early mature stage. Vitrinite reflectance measurements and maturity calculations (applying the Lopatin modeling), reveal that the lower part of the depocenter sediments falls within the ‘oil window’. The extractable organic matter (EOM) (mg bitumens/g TOC) indicate the existence of samples (from deltaic deposits) with high ratio of transformation (EOM) (> 100 mg bitumen/g TOC). The GC and GC-MS analyses of the biomarkers indicate mainly the occurrence of terrestrial organic matter reflecting oxidizing conditions and both immature and very early mature stages. The results of the Rock-Eval pyrolysis and the distribution of the isoprenoids support the assumption of the input of an organic matter mixture.  相似文献

在海拉尔盆地外围及周边地区选取了31块侏罗系野外烃源岩分析样品,进行了总有机碳、岩石中可溶有机质的抽提和岩石热解分析;针对该区侏罗系烃源岩,共对17口井岩心进行了取样地化分析,利用气相色谱-质谱对烃源岩氯仿抽提物及重要生物标志化合物开展了定性与定量检测,目的是对源岩地球化学特征进行系统评价,为下一步油气基础地质调查奠定基础.结果表明,海拉尔盆地外围及周边地区的侏罗系部分的烃源岩有机质丰度较高,应具备较好的生烃物质基础.海拉尔盆地侏罗系烃源岩总体属于淡水-半咸水环境,有机质类型多样,成熟度普遍较高.甾类化合物中以规则甾烷为主,沉积物中具有较高丰度的以五环三萜烷为主的三环萜烷化合物,显示了其应以藻类生源为主,高等植物为主的陆相沉积中的相对含量则较低.伽马蜡烷的含量普遍很低.OEP呈偶碳数优势,并且缺失高分子正构烷烃,说明烃源岩成熟度演化早期受到了微生物降解作用.  相似文献

应用多项分析测试技术,对南祁连盆地热水-默勒地区上三叠统可能烃源岩进行了有机质丰度,类型、成熟度、有机母源和沉积环境等方面的分析。该区上三叠统可能烃源岩为前三角洲和湖沼相的泥质岩沉积,其有机质丰度较高,有机质类型为腐殖型和混合型,主要处于成熟阶段,有机母质主要为高等植物和一定数量的藻菌类低等水生生物的贡献。综合分析认为该套地层具有一定的生烃能力,其中一些层段生烃潜力较大。  相似文献

准噶尔盆地东南缘烃源岩演化与油气成因复杂,采用岩石热解、色谱-质谱、碳同位素等有机地球化学分析技术,对该区二叠系芦草沟组烃源岩地球化学及其成烃演化特征进行了详细调查。结果表明,不同成熟度的二叠系芦草沟组烃源岩有机质丰度和有机类型差异显著,烃源岩有机碳、生油潜量(S1+S2)分布范围分别为0.43%~12.89%(均值2.84%)、0.52~77.24 mg/g,烃源岩质量可从低熟时的“极好”级别降低至高成熟时的“中等-差”级别(Rc≈0.54%~1.93%);有机质类型可从低熟时的Ⅰ-Ⅱ1型变化为高成熟时的Ⅱ2-Ⅲ,指示对高-过成熟烃源岩的有机质类型与生烃潜能评价需要进行评价参数的适当恢复。二叠系芦草沟组烃源岩生物标志物特征显著:姥鲛烷相对于植烷有微弱优势,Pr/Ph值分布范围为0.92~1.81(均值1.22),指示弱还原的湖相沉积环境;C27-、C28-、C29-规则甾烷呈斜直线型分布;C28-规则甾烷丰度偏高(C28/C29-规则甾烷均值为0.96)、升藿烷系列丰度偏低、伽马蜡烷发育,反映二叠系芦草沟组烃源岩咸化和/或水体分层的原始沉积环境。油-油、油-源对比表明,芦草沟组原油主要来自芦草沟组烃源岩。烃源岩地质地球化学分析表明,深浅层不同成熟度芦草沟组烃源岩均有发育,该区具有较好的生烃物质基础,具有寻找不同埋深油气藏的重要勘探前景。  相似文献

Reworked organic matter (ROM) has been frequently encountered in fresh organic matter (FOM) in young sedimentary basins. Our study reports an ROM-dominated sequence from 21 borehole cores of the Late Pliocene–Quaternary strata in the Sanhu depression of the eastern Qaidam basin in northwestern China. Reworked organic matter occurrence is confirmed by Rock-Eval pyrolysis results, high Ro values, and reversed polyaromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) maturity trends showing elevated maturities. Rock–source correlation using molecular fingerprints of biomarkers shows ROM was derived from Jurassic freshwater lacustrine source rocks dominated by terrestrial input, contrasting the immature Quaternary FOM developed in anoxic, saline lacustrine facies. The ROM provenance is traced northward to the southern Qilian Mountains. Maximum burial depths of ROM prior to erosion have been inferred by a burial depth–Rc (calculated vitrinite reflectance) correlation. Two chronological boundaries (1.83 Ma and 3.12 Ma) displaying distinct biomarker fingerprints are obtained from a previously reported chronological framework in the study area. Accordingly, an eroded thickness of 1214 m and an average erosion rate of 94 cm/ka of the ROM provenance areas during this temporal interval are derived. Our study has illustrated the potential value of geochemical compositions of ROM with constrained provenances in investigating the exhumation history of a mountain.  相似文献

The black shale samples collected from two Neogene formations in the Klias Peninsula area, West Sabah, have been assessed and characterized in details by gas chromatography, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and a variety of organic geochemical parameters. The aims of this study are to describe the characteristics of organic matter of these sediments in terms of source/type of the organic matter, assess its thermal maturity and paleoenvironment of deposition, based primarily on biomarker distributions. The results of both formations do not reveal significant differences within the rock extracts. The gas chromatograms of the saturated hydrocarbon fractions of the Setap Shale and the Belait formations displayed monomodal n-alkane distributions and nearly identical regular sterane compositions with a predominance of C27 regular steranes. These are consistent with open marine depositional environments dominated by marine biological matter. Another related feature of these rock extracts is the presence of a high relative abundance of gammacerane, indicating anoxic marine hypersaline source depositional environment. The relatively high abundance of common land plant-derived biomarkers, such as bicadinanes and oleananes, is a clear indication of a major terrigenous input to the source of the extractable organic matter. The predominance of oleanane biomarkers in both formations is indicative of angiospermis input and Tertiary source rocks. The high C29/C30 hopane ratios, moderate development of C33–C35 hopanes, high abundance of tricyclic terpanes and a slight predominance of C27 regular sterane over C28 and C29 steranes are characteristic features tending to suggest a significant marine influence on these source rocks, thereby suggesting a mixed source input. The 22S/(22S+22R)C32 hopane ratio has reached equilibrium, and this is supported by the high maturity level as indicated by the 22S/22SC31–33 extended hopane ratios and 20S/(20S+20R)C29 regular steranes ratios.  相似文献

The Lannigou deposit is a large-sized sedimentary rock-hosted disseminated gold (SRHDG) deposit located in the Youjiang Basin. It is hosted by the Middle Triassic turbidite. Wall rock alterations, including silicification, pyritization, arsenopyritization, carbonatization and argillization, commonly occur along fractures. PGE study demonstrates that either Permian basalts or Triassic ultrabasic intrnsives are unlikely to be the main source of gold mineralization. Coupled with the lack of other nmgmatic activity in the vicinity of the mining area, an amagmatic origin is proposed. Organic matter compositions and GC-MS analysis of the ores and host rocks show that the organics in the ores and the host rocks have a common source; the organic matter in the ores was mainly indigenous. The positive correlation between S2 and Au contents, along with the common occurrence of organic inclusions, suggest involvement of organic matter in the ore-forming process in terms of promoting Au leaching from the source rocks, making colloidal Au migration possible, as well as hydrocarbon reduction of sulphate. Geological and geochemical characteristics of the Lannigou deposit suggest that it was formed through circulation of meteoric water and probably less importantly organic bearing formation water driven by high geothermal gradient caused by late Yanshanian extension, which leached Au from the source bed, and then migrated as Au-bisnlfides and colloidal Au, culminating in deposition by reduction-adsorption and surface complexation of gold onto the growth surface of arsenlan pyrite.  相似文献

依据各种钻井样品的实验测试资料,通过Rock-Eval岩石评价、显微镜下观察、有机元素分析、镜质体反射率、生物标志化合物等分析方法,对鄂尔多斯盆地镇原地区中生界三叠系延长组和侏罗系延安组烃源岩地球化学特征进行了综合评价。综合分析表明,研究区延长组和延安组烃源岩有机质丰度较好;液态烃生成能力较强;干酪根类型以腐殖型为主;有机质正处于油气生成成熟阶段。延长组有机质在湖相还原条件下堆积和保存,延安组有机质在浅湖相及沼泽相的弱还原条件下沉积,所以前者烃源岩的有机质丰度、类型以及成熟度都要好于后者。  相似文献

首次对羌塘盆地上三叠统土门格拉组烃源岩生物标志化合物特征进行了研究,揭示了生物标志化合物对该地区有机质生源构成、沉积环境和成熟度的指示意义。研究结果表明:土门格拉组烃源岩中的有机母质为混合来源,既有陆生植物来源,又有低等水生生物来源,烃源岩的沉积环境为具有一定盐度的还原环境。烃源岩成熟度参数显示,土门格拉组烃源岩有机质演化程度已达到高成熟阶段。生物标志化合物的这些特征进一步证实了土门格拉组烃源岩具有较好的生烃潜力。  相似文献

Twenty Cretaceous shale samples from two wells in the Orange Basin of South Africa were evaluated for their source rock potential. They were sampled from within a 1400 m-thick sequence in boreholes drilled through Lower to Upper Cretaceous sediments. The samples exhibit total organic carbon (TOC) content of 1.06–2.17%; Rock-Eval S2 values of 0.08–2.27 mg HC/g; and petroleum source potential (SP), which is the sum of S1 and S2, of 0.10–2.61 mg HC/g, all indicating the presence of poor to fair hydrocarbon generative potential. Hydrogen index (HI) values vary from 7 to 128 mg HC/g organic carbon and oxygen index (OI) ranges from 37 to 195 mg CO2/g organic carbon, indicating predominantly Type III kerogen with perhaps minor amounts of Type IV kerogen. The maturity of the samples, as indicated by T max values of 428–446°C, ranges from immature to thermally mature with respect to oil generation. Measured vitrinite reflectance values (%Ro) of representative samples indicate that these samples vary from immature to mature, consistent with the thermal alteration index (TAI) (spore colour) and fluorescence data for these samples. Organic petrographic analysis also shows that amorphous organic matter is dominant in these samples. Framboidal pyrite is abundant and may be indicative of a marine influence during deposition. Although our Rock-Eval pyrolysis data indicate that gas-prone source rocks are prevalent in this part of the Orange Basin, the geochemical characteristics of samples from an Aptian unit at 3318 m in one of the wells suggest that better quality source rocks may exist deeper, in more distal depositional parts of the basin.  相似文献

同一洼陷不同次洼的烃源岩及生成的原油,由于古气候、古沉积环境较为相似,其常规生物标志化合物和同位素特征差别非常小,给油源分析带来困难。通过GC-MS分析提取原油和烃源岩中分子化石信息,主要依据4 甲基甾烷的相对含量和不同构型的4 甲基甾烷的分布特征来进行油源对比,为类似地区的油源分析提供了一种新思路。渤南洼陷发育Es4s和Es3x两套主力烃源岩,中部次洼、西部次洼和渤南深洼Es3x烃源岩的4 甲基甾烷/C29甾烷值分别为4.51、2.79、1.27,是由于烃源岩中沟鞭藻有机质占总有机质的比例不同所造成。不同地区原油C20、C21、C23三环萜烷和ααα20RC27、C28、C29规则甾烷等特征非常相似,成熟度相当,中、西、东三个地区原油的4 甲基甾烷/C29甾烷值分别为2.89,2.39和2.06,区别明显,各个地区4 甲基甾烷的构型也不同。对比结果表明,渤南洼陷北部陡坡带Es4s和Es3x油气均为近源成藏,主要来源于其临近次洼的Es3x烃源岩。  相似文献

准噶尔盆地西南缘四棵树凹陷主要分布侏罗系、白垩系和古近系3套潜在烃源岩,其中侏罗系八道湾组烃源岩有机质丰度较高,有机质类型以Ⅲ型为主,部分为Ⅱ2型,生烃潜力较高;三工河组烃源岩有机质丰度、类型明显偏差,生烃潜力较低;西山窑组泥岩有机质丰度较高,但由于受西山窑组沉积末期构造抬升导致地层剥蚀的影响,烃源岩厚度较小,总体上生烃条件较差;白垩系烃源岩在四棵树凹陷最大厚度可达300 m,处于低熟阶段,生烃潜力较小;古近系烃源岩有机质丰度较高、类型好,但成熟度偏低,生烃条件较差。侏罗系八道湾组烃源岩处于主要生油阶段;白垩系烃源岩已达到生烃门限,处于低熟—中等成熟阶段;古近系烃源岩成熟度偏低,目前仍处于未熟到低熟阶段。油源对比表明,四棵树凹陷北部斜坡及车排子凸起带原油主要来源于四棵树凹陷及沙湾凹陷侏罗系烃源灶,后期受到白垩系低熟油源灶的侵染,古近系烃源岩的油源贡献有限。  相似文献

QK-1天然气水合物钻探试验井位于西藏羌塘盆地毕洛错地区,主要钻遇中侏罗统夏里组粉砂质泥岩和布曲组灰岩。其有机质丰度、有机质类型、有机质成熟度等有机地球化学特征表明,南羌塘地区中侏罗统烃源岩的有机质丰度偏低,夏里组泥岩TOC介于0.26%~0.38%之间,达到差-中烃源岩标准,而布曲组灰岩TOC介于0.02%~0.08%之间,仅局部达到差烃源岩标准;两个组的烃源岩有机质类型主要为Ⅱ2型及Ⅲ型,较利于天然气的生成,其中夏里组的生气能力优于布曲组;该区烃源岩热演化程度较高,Ro为1.31%~1.63%之间,均达到高成熟阶段,而夏里组有可能已进入干气阶段。基于冻土区天然气水合物成藏条件分析,综合考虑夏里组烃源岩及沉积厚度特征,认为中侏罗统夏里组具备良好的天然气水合物勘探前景。  相似文献

通过采集青海木里三露天天然气水合物钻孔岩心样品,对该区天然气水合物赋存层段的中侏罗统和上三叠统烃(气)源岩的有机地球化学特征进行了分析。结果显示:研究区中侏罗统和上三叠统烃(气)源岩有机质丰度较高,TOC含量多在0.6%以上,即整体上为中等、好、很好烃源岩;有机质类型两套地层均主要以Ⅱ2型、Ⅲ型为主;两套地层 样品镜质体反射率多数介于0.7%~1.3%之间,只有少部分样品镜质体反射率低于0.7%,故有机质演化整体处于成熟阶段,或处于凝析油阶段,还没有达到湿气和干气阶段,可能只为该区天然气水合物提供一定量的气源条件,其主力气源岩可能来自更深部层系;研究区上三叠统烃(气)源岩有机质成熟度整体不高甚至低于中侏罗统,可能受断层逆推作用而出露地表的影响。  相似文献

北羌塘盆地发育的布曲组海相碳酸盐岩是重要的烃源岩之一,但是由于研究程度低,一些油气地球化学问题尚不清楚。应用生物标志物分析技术,结合其它地球化学资料,对北羌塘盆地侏罗系布曲组烃源岩进行了有机质生源构成、沉积环境、成熟度进行了讨论。研究结果表明,该烃源岩的发育环境为海相还原环境,有机质母质主要为低等水生生物,有高等植物的混入,处于高成熟阶段,具备油气生成的有力条件。  相似文献
