近年来,碎屑金红石的研究已成为沉积物源区分析的一个新前沿。金红石的地球化学组成,尤其是Cr,Nb,Zr等微量元素的含量,对其母岩的形成条件和所经历的地质过程都具有重要的指示意义,同时,碎屑金红石在沉积、成岩过程中表现出极高的稳定性,因而是物源分析的理想指针矿物。首先介绍金红石的矿物学和地球化学基本性质,分析不同来源的金红石典型特征,重点阐述碎屑金红石在物源分析中运用的5个方面:①金红石重矿物比值;②金红石矿物化学成分Cr-Nb判别图解;③金红石Zr含量温度计;④金红石的U-Pb和(U-Th)/He定年;⑤金红石Lu-Hf同位素。综合上述5个方面的物源分析研究,可以获取金红石的母岩类型、形成温度及后期所经历的热演化史等信息。碎屑金红石的物源研究处于起步和探索阶段,仍存在一些亟需解决的问题。  相似文献

Geochemical analysis of sandstones from the Sardar Formation (from two stratigraphic successions) in east-central Iran were used for identification of geochemical characterization of sandstones, provenance and tectonic setting. Sandstones in the two lithostratigraphic successions have similar chemical compositions suggesting a common provenance. Bulk-rock geochemistry analysis of Carboniferous sandstones from Sardar Formation indicates that they are mainly quartz dominated and are classified as quartzarenites, sublitharenites and subarkoses, derived from acid igneous to intermediate igneous rocks. Discrimination function analysis indicates that the sandstones of Sardar Formation were derived from quartzose sedimentary provenance in a recycled orogenic setting. Also, major and trace elements in sandstones of Sardar Formation (e.g., K2O/Na2O vs. SiO2) indicate deposition in a stable passive continental margin (PM). Chemical index of alteration (CIA) for these rocks (> 65%) suggests a moderate to relatively high degree of weathering in the source area.  相似文献

分析了华北克拉通新太古代—三叠纪 16个碎屑沉积岩组合样品。与Taylor和McLennan等提出的太古宙—元古宙界线前后沉积岩及上地壳化学组成变化不同 ,新太古代五台群沉积岩具明显负Eu异常 ,相容元素含量很低 ,不相容元素含量较高 ,与典型后太古宙沉积物组成类似。而古元古代沉积岩比五台群显示出异常高的Eu/Eu 值 ,w(Sc) /w(Th) ,w(Cr) /w (Th)比值。青白口纪、寒武纪、石炭纪和二叠纪沉积岩显示正常的后太古宙沉积岩特征。三叠纪沉积岩的Eu/Eu 值 ,w (Sc) /w (Th) ,w(Cr) /w(Th)比值再次显著升高 ,推测与华北和扬子克拉通最终的陆陆碰撞作用有关。因此 ,太古宙—元古宙界线并不一致对应于上地壳演化程度迅速增高。大陆上地壳并非总是向着分异程度提高的方向演化 ,而是部分时期可出现演化程度降低的异常现象。  相似文献

Whole-rock chemistry and precise U – Pb zircon chronology have been used to determine the provenance of Archean greenschist-facies siliciclastic sedimentary rocks of the Diemals Formation in the Marda – Diemals area of the central Yilgarn Craton, Western Australia. Field evidence shows that these siliciclastic rocks are, at least in part, derived from uplift and erosion of underlying greenstones, and this is borne out by the similar La/Sc, Cr/Th and REE chemistry of Diemals Formation siltstones and some sandstones to mafic volcanic rocks of the underlying greenstones. The higher Cr/V and lower Y/Ni of some siltstones is consistent with input from ultramafic and mafic rocks. Diemals Formation sandstones and siltstones cannot be separated in terms of ratios such as Zr/La, and siliciclastic rock chemistry reflects provenance rather than the effects of transport and depositional processes, such as sorting. Chemistry does not support input to Diemals Formation sedimentary rocks from the Marda volcanic complex despite both units being close to each other, and having overlapping maximum depositional and crystallisation ages, respectively. Instead, it is likely that detritus for the two units was deposited in adjacent, physically discrete basins. Some Diemals Formation sandstones are geochemically similar to felsic rocks intruding the underlying greenstone succession, with higher La/Sc and lower Cr/Th, and LREE-enriched patterns with negative Eu anomalies. Support for a genetic relationship is shown by the overlap in the maximum depositional age of these sandstones with the crystallisation age of the geochemically identical Pigeon Rocks Monzogranite. Combined whole-rock chemistry and precise U – Pb zircon chronology indicates that Diemals Formation sedimentary rocks were in large part derived from the underlying mafic volcanic rocks, with progressive unroofing of this succession leading to erosion of felsic intrusive rocks, now represented by sandstones found at various levels in the Diemals Formation.  相似文献

西秦岭是北接华北克拉通、西接祁连与柴达木、南接松潘—甘孜地块的东秦岭造山带的西延。文中研究了该区从前寒武纪到三叠纪的碎屑沉积岩。这些碎屑沉积岩中分离出的锆石由LA-ICPMS(激光剥蚀等离子体质谱)进行了U-Pb定年。全岩Nd亏损地幔模式年龄类似于扬子克拉通年龄,主要分布于1.55~1.98Ga,峰值为1.81Ga,而与华北克拉通主要为古元古代与太古宙的模式年龄形成明显的对比。泥盆系中的碎屑锆石930~730Ma的U-Pb年龄指示其与扬子克拉通具亲缘性。930~730Ma是源区地壳的强烈增长阶段。二叠系—三叠系的碎屑沉积岩主体以含老于1600Ma的碎屑锆石为特征。碎屑锆石U-Pb年龄与Sm-Nd同位素组成指示此时华北克拉通南缘的基底岩石成为二叠系—三叠系碎屑沉积岩的重要物源。扬子克拉通在三叠纪时与华北克拉通拼接。西秦岭二叠系—三叠系碎屑沉积岩含有高达50%的华北克拉通南缘的基底岩石。  相似文献

东准噶尔喀姆斯特下泥盆统阿拉比也巴斯他乌组和下石炭统卡姆斯特组代表陆壳增生不同阶段的沉积响应.碎屑岩碎屑组成模式和地球化学分析结果表明阿拉比也巴斯他乌组形成于大洋-活动大陆过渡型构造环境,物源区主要为发育在过渡型地壳之上的岩浆岛弧;卡姆斯特组形成于活动大陆型构造环境,物源区主要为大陆岛弧环境的切割岩浆弧.沉积相、相组合及生物生态等沉积特征显示两组的沉积环境分别为海底斜坡和海底扇中扇-外扇盆地平原.结合区域构造分析和地层对比研究,下泥盆统阿拉比也巴斯他乌组海底斜坡沉积是东准噶尔构造带早泥盆世弧后盆地沉积响应的主要记录,卡姆斯特组海底扇-海底平原沉积则主要记录了东准噶尔复合地体早石炭世晚期弧间残余海盆的沉积响应.两套沉积响应记录的环境演化受控于中亚型造山带复杂的造山作用.  相似文献

针对影响石炭系—二叠系油气地质条件与油气资源潜力评价的关键地质问题,开展产、学、研联合攻关,采用盆山结合、地质与地球物理结合的工作手段,在石炭纪—二叠纪盆地形成与演化、沉积体系与沉积相展布、石炭系—二叠系烃源岩评价等方面取得了系列新认识。明确了银额盆地及其邻区石炭纪—二叠纪为典型的裂谷裂陷盆地,晚石炭世—早二叠世为盆地发育的鼎盛时期,以浅海陆棚相沉积为主;发现多套厚度大、横向分布稳定,且有机质丰度中等—高,并以II型干酪根为主的成熟—高成熟烃源岩,不存在区域变质;于上古生界风化壳钻获的天然气和原油地球化学特征指示与石炭系烃源岩具有显著亲缘关系;初步预测研究区石炭系—二叠系油气资源前景,圈定了有利勘探区和较有利勘探区。  相似文献

In northwest Turkey, high-pressure metamorphic rocks occur as exotic blocks within the Çetmi mélange located on the south of the Biga Peninsula. Rutile chemistry and rutile thermometry obtained from the eclogite and associated garnet-mica schist in the Çetmi mélange indicate significant trace element behaviour of subducted oceanic crust and source-rock lithology of detrital rutiles. Cr and Nb contents in detrital rutile from garnet-mica schist vary from 355 to 1026 μg/g and 323 and 3319 μg/g, respectively. According to the Cr-Nb discrimination diagram, the results show that 85% of the detrital rutiles derived from metapelitic and 15% from metamafic rocks. Temperatures calculated for detrital rutiles and rutiles in eclogite range from 540 °C to 624 °C with an average of 586 °C and 611 °C to 659 °C with an average of 630 °C at P = 2.3 GPa, respectively. The calculated formation temperatures suggest that detrital rutiles are derived from amphibolite- and eclogite-facies metamorphic rocks. Amphibolite-facies rocks of the Kazdağ Massif could be the primary source rocks for the rutiles in the garnet-mica schist from the Çetmi mélange. Nb/Ta ratios of metapelitic and metamafic rutiles fall between 7–24 and 11–25, respectively. Nb/Ta characteristics in detrital rutiles may reflect a change in source-rock lithology. However, Nb/Ta ratios of rutiles in eclogite vary from 9 to 22. The rutile grains from eclogites are dominated by subchondritic Nb/Ta ratios. It can be noted that subchondritic Nb/Ta may record rutile growth from local sinks of aqueous fluids from metamorphic dehydration.  相似文献

库鲁克塔格南华系记录了塔里木北缘同期的火山-沉积事件和蚀源区物质组成及演化的信息。该区不同剖面内南华系各组砂岩碎屑组分的统计分析显示,贝义西组砂岩在不同剖面内组成差异显著:西山口剖面以岩屑砂岩为主,且岩屑为火山岩岩屑与沉积岩岩屑,物源为再旋回地层,而依格孜塔格剖面以长石砂岩和岩屑长石砂岩为主,岩屑主要为变质岩岩屑,物源为下伏古元古代高级变质岩。砂岩碎屑组成在剖面上垂向的变化表明贝义西组沉积期与照壁山组沉积期间(725 Ma±)存在一个沉积转型事件,导致贝义西组之上的照壁山组、阿勒通沟组及特瑞艾肯组砂岩组成在不同区域趋于一致,转变为代表基底隆起-过渡大陆区物源的典型“长石砂岩”。南华系砂岩碎屑组成与大陆裂谷盆地沉积砂岩相似,且物源区存在由前裂谷地层-过渡裂谷肩部-切割裂谷肩部-克拉通内部的连续演化过程,是库满凹陷早期裂解的岩相学记录。  相似文献

The Late Carboniferous palaeo-tectonic setting of the West Junggar region is comprised of arcs alternating with basins. Geochemical analysis of the sedimentary rocks associated with these arc-related basins was conducted to better constrain the provenance and tectonic setting.Major and trace element geochemistry data of Late Carboniferous mudstones and sandstones in the Hala-alat Mountains suggest that these sedimentary rocks and their source areas are characterized by the following four features: (1) sediments experienced a simple recycling process; (2) a low degree weathering conditions in the source areas; (3) compositional immature of the sedimentary rocks; (4) dominated by intermediate to felsic provenance, with a few intermediate to mafic sediments. Integrated with the palaeo-flow data and previous authors’ works, a fore-arc basin model is proposed for the tectonic setting of the sedimentary rocks. The Sawur arc is the primary provenance and supplies the major intermediate to felsic detrital fragments. The Bozchekul-Chingiz arc and Kexia oceanic island arc are the other two secondary sources.  相似文献

The Northwestern Ordos Terrane (NOT) in the Western North China Craton (W-NCC) comprises the northwestern Ordos Basin in the east and the eastern Alxa Massif in the west, bound by the Helanshan Tectonic Belt (HTB). The key position makes the NOT crucial for understanding the evolutionary processes of the W-NCC and particularly the tectonic relation of the Alxa Massif with the W-NCC. In this study, petrologic, stratigraphic and geochronologic studies were conducted on Permo-Carboniferous successions in the NOT. Stratigraphic correlation reveals that Carboniferous marine successions display a transgressive sequence with a slight westward-deepening facies variation, evidenced by the continuous onlap of tidal-flat layers toward the east. The Permian nonmarine strata in the HTB and the Ordos Basin have no substantial facies variation, defining an upward regressive sequence from deltaic to fluvial associations, while time-equivalent units in the eastern Alxa Massif have been eroded. The generally SSW-directed paleocurrents suggest that Permo-Carboniferous siliciclastic materials were derived from a highland to the northeast. The unified sedimentary system in the NOT constrains the Alxa Massif to be part of the W-NCC. The Lower Carboniferous sandstone contain zircons with a concentrated age cluster of 1700–2700 Ma, comparable to Archean to Paleoproterozoic crystalline basement in the northern W-NCC. By contrast, in addition to zircons of 1700–2700 Ma, Late Carboniferous and Permian sandstones all contain abundant Paleozoic zircons with two age clusters around ~300 Ma and ~420 Ma, which are similar to age patterns of Paleozoic magmatism in the northern W-NCC. Zircon age profile and sandstone modal composition indicate the origin from an Andean-type continental arc. The Permo-Carboniferous tectono-sedimentary processes of the NOT should occur in a marginal basin behind the continental arc along the northern W-NCC in response to the southward subduction of Solonker Ocean, southern branch of Paleo-Asian Ocean.  相似文献

泥质岩的地球化学特征蕴含了大量地质信息,在物源和沉积环境分析中的应用十分广泛。利用X射线荧光光谱仪和电感耦合等离子体质谱仪(ICP-MS)对华北板块南缘焦作煤田石炭-二叠纪泥质岩样品进行常量元素、微量元素(包括稀土元素)进行分析,并据此讨论泥质岩的物源性质、物源区岩石风化作用强度及当时古环境特征。研究区泥质岩的高Al2O3/TiO2值及低Cr/Zr和K2O/Al2O3值特征,以及泥质岩Zr-TiO2和Th/Co-La/Sc源岩判别图、Ni-Cr图和(Gd/Yb)N-Eu/Eu*图等的判别分析结果,都揭示了研究区泥质岩物源主要为后太古宙长英质岩石;Al2O3-CaO*+Na2O-K2O(A-CN-K)图和较高的黏土矿物成分反映了泥质岩源区受到钾交代作用的影响,致使CIA(化学蚀变指数)值被低估;高CIW(化学风化指数)值和Al2O3-CaO*-Na2O(A-C-N)判别图分析结果表明泥质岩物源区母岩在石炭-二叠纪经历了强烈的风化作用;Sr/Ba和B/Ga比值变化指示本溪组沉积时期到太原组沉积早期为海相为主的沉积环境,太原组沉积中期到山西组沉积早期为海陆过渡相为主的沉积环境,山西组沉积中期到上石盒子组沉积时期为陆相沉积环境。  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Siliciclastic sediments from the Upper Palaeozoic Konya Complex and its Mesozoic cover were studied by a multi-method approach combining thin-section petrography, bulk-rock geochemistry, mineral chemistry of rutile, and U–Pb geochronology of detrital zircons. Provenance sensitive data of samples from the Upper Palaeozoic Hal?c? Formation indicate sediment supply from mainly low- to medium-grade metamorphosed sedimentary rocks of felsic character, while the contribution from volcanic rocks was rare. The detrital zircon record of sediments from the Hal?c? Formation documents sediment supply from different sources and excludes a similar provenance. Some samples show great similarities with Palaeozoic sandstones from the cover sequence of the Saharan Metacraton and the Arabian–Nubian Shield, while the other samples indicate a provenance that must be sought in units with a southern Eurasian affinity. The upper limit for sediment deposition in the Hal?c? Formation is mostly constrained by Early Palaeozoic zircon populations; however, sediment accumulation in Pennsylvanian–Cisuralian time is more likely, contemporaneously with the Upper Palaeozoic succession on the Karaburun Peninsula (western Turkey). The provenance of sediments from the Upper Triassic Ard?çl? Formation remains enigmatic, but the source should be sought nonetheless in units close to the depositional site. In any case, detrital zircon age spectra and compositional data exclude recycling of underlying rock units (i.e. Hal?c? Formation). Overall, our new provenance data reveal great similarities between the Konya Complex and comparable units (Chios, Karaburun) but also highlight distinct differences in terms of sediment composition and provenance.  相似文献

Silicic volcanic rocks generally constitute a minor, but key product to track the magmatic evolution in mafic rock dominated large igneous provinces (LIPs). However, for their generally late-stage nature of the silicic volcanic rocks they have a poor preservation potential due to extensive post-eruption erosion. We track the eroded volcanic rocks from the ∼260 Ma Emeishan LIP by analyzing the provenance of the LIP-derived sedimentary rocks. Sandstones from a cored succession of the Late Permian Longtan Formation in the northern Youjiang Basin are rich in volcanic rock fragments, and associated mudstones have low Al2O3/TiO2 ratios. Detrital zircon grains from the Longtan Formation display typical unimodal U–Pb age spectra with a prominent peak at ca. 260 Ma. These detrital zircons show an overall geochemical affinity akin to those crystallized from within-plate/anorogenic magmas. Such petrological and geochemical characteristics are consistent with a dominant source from the Emeishan volcanic rocks. Through the sampled succession, zircon grains of ∼260 Ma from the lower Longtan Formation generally display lower U/Yb (most < 0.5) and Th/Nb (most < 10) ratios and higher εHf(t) values (mostly in the range of +3 to +8) than those from the upper part. A similar sequential variation has also been observed in the Shaiwa Formation, which is an offshore time-equivalent unit to the Longtan Formation. These consistent temporal variations through the sedimentary successions in the Youjiang Basin are interpreted to reflect erosional unroofing of the Emeishan LIP during the Late Permian. These results, integrated with previous studies on the rhyolites and trachytes in Emeishan LIP, reveal a fractional crystallization dominated petrogenetic process with diminishing crustal assimilation for the late-stage silicic volcanism.  相似文献

上扬子西南缘地区广泛分布峨眉山玄武岩,受其影响在中带金阳和外带荥经地区嘉陵江组发育滨岸和潮坪环境沉积物。本文在交错层理恢复的物源方向基础上,根据重矿物组成、重矿物电子探针和碎屑锆石测年结果,综合分析不同区域嘉陵江组物源区,进而探讨嘉陵江组形成的构造环境。嘉陵江组砂岩碎屑重矿物锆石、磷灰石、铬尖晶石等指示物源主要来自于岩浆岩,且自中带至外带基性岩浆岩所占比重逐渐减少。电气石电子探针分析显示,二者物源主要来自于贫锂花岗岩和变质砂岩、板岩。铬尖晶石显示,金阳地区物源来自峨眉山玄武岩和洋岛岩浆岩类岩石,荥经物源主要来自洋岛岩浆岩类岩石,个别为峨眉山玄武岩。碎屑锆石表明,嘉陵江组物源主要来自于新元古代岩浆岩和晚二叠世峨眉山玄武岩,前者经历再搬运。综合物源分析表明,嘉陵江组物源主要来自康滇古陆,岩石类型主要为峨眉山玄武岩和砂岩等。沉积序列和物源分析表明,嘉陵江组反映了沉积物蚀顶过程。结合地震资料、大火成岩省的分析成果表明,嘉陵江组形成于火山型裂谷边缘。  相似文献

徽成盆地是西秦岭造山带内一个具有代表性的盆地,保留较完整的地层记录.早白垩世田家坝组、周家湾组和鸡山组为一套砂砾岩沉积组合序列.本文通过对早白垩世砂岩的古水流恢复、砾石成分与含量、重矿物和地球化学分析,对沉积岩物源区特征和原型盆地进行探讨.古水流恢复和砾石成分统计表明,沉积物主要是近源堆积,主要来自于盆地南缘和北部.重矿物研究结果表明,早白垩世砂岩母岩以岩浆岩为主,并有少量变质岩/沉积岩.地球化学分析表明,早白垩世砂岩为成熟度较低的硬砂岩和长石/岩屑砂屑岩.稀土元素标准化配分曲线呈现轻稀土富集、重稀土平坦和弱Eu负异常特征.砂岩物源区组成判别图研究表明,早白垩世砂岩的物源区主要出露长英质火山岩.砂岩源区构造环境判别图解及特征指数分析表明,早白垩世砂岩源区主要形成于大陆岛弧和活动大陆边缘.结合区域资料和前人研究,表明早白垩世徽成地区发育走滑拉分盆地.  相似文献

The southern part of the New England Orogen exhibits a series of remarkable orogenic bends (oroclines), which include the prominent Z-shaped Texas and Coffs Harbour oroclines. The oroclines are defined by the curvature of Devonian–Carboniferous forearc basin and accretionary complex rock units. However, for much of the interpreted length of the Texas Orocline, the forearc basin is mostly concealed by younger strata, and crops out only in the Emu Creek Block in the eastern limb of the orocline. The geology of the Emu Creek Block has hitherto been relatively poorly constrained and is addressed here by presenting new data, including a revised geological map, stratigraphic sections and new detrital zircon U–Pb ages. Rocks of the Emu Creek Block include shallow-marine and deltaic sedimentary successions, corresponding to the Emu Creek and Paddys Flat formations, respectively. New detrital zircon U–Pb data indicate that these formations were deposited during the late Carboniferous and that strata were derived from a magmatic source of Devonian to Carboniferous age. The sedimentary provenance and detrital zircon age distribution suggest that the sequence was deposited in a forearc basin setting. We propose that the Emu Creek and Paddys Flat formations are arc-distal, along-strike correlatives of the northern Tamworth Belt, which is part of the forearc basin in the western limb of the Texas Orocline. These results confirm the suggestion that Devonian–Carboniferous forearc basin rocks surround the Texas Orocline and have been subjected to oroclinal bending.  相似文献

This study combines geochemical and geochronological data in order to decipher the provenance of Carboniferous turbidites from the South Portuguese Zone (SW Iberia). Major and trace elements of 25 samples of graywackes and mudstones from the Mértola (Visean), Mira (Serpukhovian), and Brejeira (Moscovian) Formations were analyzed, and 363 U-Pb ages were obtained on detrital zircons from five samples of graywackes from the Mira and Brejeira Formations using LA-ICPMS. The results indicate that turbiditic sedimentation during the Carboniferous was marked by variability in the sources, involving the denudation of different crustal blocks and a break in synorogenic volcanism. The Visean is characterized by the accumulation of immature turbidites (Mértola Formation and the base of the Mira Formation) inherited from a terrane with intermediate to mafic source rocks. These source rocks were probably formed in relation to Devonian magmatic arcs poorly influenced by sedimentary recycling, as indicated by the almost total absence of pre-Devonian zircons typical of the Gondwana and/or Laurussia basements. The presence of Carboniferous grains in Visean turbidites indicates that volcanism was active at this time. Later, Serpukhovian to Moscovian turbiditic sedimentation (Mira and Brejeira Formations) included sedimentary detritus derived from felsic mature source rocks situated far from active magmatism. The abundance of Precambrian and Paleozoic zircons reveals strong recycling of the Gondwana and/or Laurussia basements. A peri-Gondwanan provenance is indicated by zircon populations with Neoproterozoic (Cadomian-Avalonian and Pan-African zircon-forming events), Paleoproterozoic, and Archean ages. The presence of late Ordovician and Silurian detrital zircons in Brejeira turbidites, which have no correspondence in the Gondwana basement of SW Iberia, indicates Laurussia as their most probable source.  相似文献

The Carboniferous–Early Permian rift-related volcanic successions, covering large areas in the Chinese Tianshan and its adjacent areas, make up an important phanerozoic large igneous province in the word, which can be further divided into two sub-provinces: Tianshan and Tarim. The Early Permian volcanic rocks have been considered to be the products of an intraplate volcanism by most researchers. However, there is still strong controversy about the nature and geological setting of the Carboniferous volcanic rocks. The regional angular unconformity of Lower Carboniferous upon basement or pre-Carboniferous rocks, the ages (360–351 Ma) of the youngest ophiolite and the peak of subduction metamorphism of high pressure-low temperature metamorphic belt and the occurrence of Ni-Cu-bearing mafic-ultramafic intrusion with age of ~352 Ma and A-type granite with age of ~358 Ma reveal that the final closure of the Paleo-Asian Ocean might take place in the Early Mississippian. Our studies reveal that although contamination by continental crust or lithosphere can impart subduction-like signature (e.g., low Nb, low Ta and low Ti) and lead to misidentification of contaminated Carboniferous basaltic lavas from the Chinese Tianshan and its neighboring areas as arc related, there are still some essential differences between the Carboniferous basaltic lavas and arc related ones; such as: uncontaminated Carboniferous basaltic lavas have higher Nb concentrations (9–22 ppm), Nb/La > 1, “hump-shaped” OIB-like trace element patterns and moderate positive ɛNd values that distinguish them from the arc related ones; whereas, the contaminated Carboniferous basaltic lavas are characterized by pronounced negative Nb, Ta and Ti anomalies, but, their concentrations of incompatible trace elements are conspicuously higher than those of subduction-zone basalts that also distinguishes them from the arc related ones. Our summation suggests that the Carboniferous volcanic successions did indeed erupt in an intracontinental rift setting and their generation is likely confined to mantle plume.  相似文献
