The 20–16 ka Monte Guardia sequence of Lipari island, southern Italy, is a complex succession of silicic pyroclastic surge deposits produced, in part, by hydromagmatic explosions near sea level. Most surges were directed to the east, north-east and north of the vent, and climbed the 12° southern slopes of Monte Sant’Angelo in the central part of the island. A series of thin, distinctive key bed-sets containing oxidized ash and accretionary lapilli allow a detailed correlation of sections and the lateral tracing of deposits of single pyroclastic surges across the island. Facies analysis reveals that the proximal-to-distal facies changes are different from those suggested by a previous study based on a statistical approach to lateral facies distribution. Single dry surge deposits evolve downcurrent from (1) beds of disorganized medium- to coarse-grained lapilli containing scattered blocks, to (2) bipartite disorganized/stratified beds of fine- to coarse-grained lapilli with ash matrix, to (3) dunes formed of coarse-grained ash to medium-grained lapilli, to (4) planar beds of fine-grained lapilli. This facies sequence is similar to published models for some Korean surge deposits, and records decelerating surges which experienced a downflow decrease in turbulence, particle concentration and suspended-load fall-out rate, and an increase in traction processes. As the Monte Guardia surges climbed the opposing slopes of Monte Sant'Angelo, they bifurcated into eastern and western tongues, which experienced rapid deceleration leading to a rapid downcurrent thinning and fining of the surge deposits. Two fluid-dynamical approaches suggest that Monte Guardia surges travelled at speeds of more than 75–85 m s -1 before climbing Monte Sant’Angelo. Flows with this vigour and distribution are capable of destroying animal and plant populations on Lipari.  相似文献

Vesiculated tuffs are tuffs that contain vesicles between the ash particles. Formation of the vesicles is the result of trapping of steam, the transporting agent of volcanic base surges, in wet, muddy or sticky ash deposited by the base surges. Vesiculated tuffs are described from various maars and tuff-rings in Europe (Iceland, France, Germany) and USA together with associated surface features such as: gravity flowage ripples, mud flow channels, current ripples, and current ridges. Other features described are: plastering of ash against obstacles and vesiculated accretionary lapilli, the latter containing vesicles in the outer layer. Vesiculated base surge deposits probably contained as much as 20–30% of interstitial water and fell out of the base surge clouds en masse owing to non-free flow and consequent accretion.  相似文献

Increased nitrogen (N) input to ecosystems could alter soil organic carbon (C) dynamics, but the effect still remains uncertain. To better understand the effect of N addition on soil organic C in wetland ecosystems, a field experiment was conducted in a seasonally inundated freshwater marsh, the Sanjiang Plain, Northeast China. In this study, litter production, soil total organic C (TOC) concentration, microbial biomass C (MBC), organic C mineralization, metabolic quotient (qCO2) and mineralization quotient (qmC) in 0–15 cm depth were investigated after four consecutive years of N addition at four rates (CK, 0 g N m?2 year?1; low, 6 g N m?2 year?1; moderate, 12 g N m?2 year?1; high, 24 g N m?2 year?1). Four-year N addition increased litter production, and decreased soil organic C mineralization. In addition, soil TOC concentration and MBC generally increased at low and moderate N addition levels, but declined at high N addition level, whereas soil qCO2 and qmC showed a reverse trend. These results suggest that short-term N addition alters soil organic C dynamics in seasonally inundated freshwater marshes of Northeast China, and the effects vary with N fertilization rates.  相似文献

 采用分阶段加热爆裂法测定了不同成因热液矿床脉石英流体包裹体的氩同位素,计算出各温度段内大气氩的相对含量,从而,总结出大气降水热液矿床、再平衡岩浆水热液矿床等成矿流体的氩同位素组成特征及其演化规律。典型的大气降水热液矿床,其成矿流体以具有高大气Ar组分(约95%-100%)为特征;再平衡岩浆水热液矿床成矿流体的Ar同位素组成特征取决于与其有成因关系的初始岩浆水的Ar同位素组成及矿源层和围岩的性质,产于古老变质岩中的,一般以具有低大气Ar组分(约6%-20%)为特征,其它的再平衡岩浆水热液矿床在主成矿温度范围内一般为50%-60%左右。  相似文献

Element geochemistry of gold arsenic and mineralogical features of their sulfides in the Carlin-type gold depostis of the Qinling region are discussed in this paper.The initial contents of ore-forming elements such as glod and arsenic are high the ore-bearing rock series in the Qinling region.Furthermore,both the metals are concentrated mainly in the diagenetic pyrite.Study on the mineralogy of arsenic-bearing sulfide minerals in the ores demonstrated that there is a poistive correlation between gold and arsenic in the sulfide minerals.Available evidence suggests that gold in the As-bearing sulfide minerals in likely to be presented as a charge species(Au ),and it is most possible for it to replace the exxcess arsenic at the site of iron and war probably deposited together with arsenic as solid in the sulfide minerals. Pyrite is composed of(Aux^3 ,Fe1-2^2 )([AsS]x^3-[S2]1-x^2-),and arenopyrite of (Aux^3 ,Fe1-x^3 )([AsS]x^3-[AsS2]1-x^3-).The occurrence of glod in the As-sulfied minerals from the Carlin-type gold depostis in the Qinling region has been confirmed by electron probe and transmission electron microscopic studies.The results show that gold was probably depostied together with arsenicas coupled solid solutions in sulfide minerals in the early stage of mineralization.Metallogenic chemical reactions concerning gold deposition in the Carlin-type As-rich gold deposits would involve oxidation of glod and concurrent reduction of arsenic.Later,the deposited gold as solid was remobilized and redistributed as exsolutions,as a result of increasing hydrothermal alteration and crystallization,and decreasing resistance to refractoriness of the host minerals.Gold occurs as sub-microscopic grains(ranging from 0.04tp 0.16μm in diameter)of native gold along micro factures in and crystalline grains of the sulfiedes.  相似文献

Argon diffusion domains in K-feldspar II: kinetic properties of MH-10   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Viewing K-feldspars as containing a discrete distribution of diffusion domain sizes reconciles otherwise disconsonant features common in their 40Ar/39Ar age spectra and Arrhenius plots but raises a fundamental question. What are the features in K-feldspar that endow it with this behavior? We report here the results of two different kinds of experiments that help isolate the nature of the responsible diffusion properties. To assess the thermal stability of the diffusion domains during laboratory treatment, MH-10 K-feldspar was step-heated to 850°C, removed from the furnace and split. One split was reirradiated and the other returned to the furnace and completely degassed. Following re-irradiation, the original heating schedule was used to degas the second aliquot. Apart from the first 5% of gas released, the diffusion properties show little change relative to the original result but, it appears, the physical character of a portion of the smallest domain has been altered. Results of duplicate step-heating experiments of samples treated at 750°C, 950°C and 1100°C prior to irradiation are consistent with the conclusions of the double irradiation experiment. In a second series of experiments, sized aggregates of MH-10 K-feldspar were analyzed by the 40Ar/39Ar step-heating method. The resultant log(r/r o) plots reveal that the largest domain is annihilated when the particle size is reduced to about 50 μm. From this result we infer that the largest diffusion domain size is between 60 and about 130 μm in diameter. This estimate, together with knowledge of the relative domain size distribution obtained from modeling the log(r/r o) plot, sets the size of the smallest domain to be less than about 1 μm. Microstructural examination of MH-10 K-feldspar identifies sub-grain features that correspond in size to our independent estimates for the largest and smallest diffusion domains. These results strongly support the view that low-temperature K-feldspars contain a distribution of diffusion length scales that are well approximated as discrete domain sizes and that laboratory heating below the onset of melting does not significatly affect the ability to obtain thermal reconstructions from the 40Ar/39Ar systematics.  相似文献

The stress characteristics method (SCM) has been used to compute the bearing capacity of smooth and rough ring foundations. Two different failure mechanisms for a smooth footing, and four different mechanisms for a rough footing have been considered. For a rough base, a curvilinear non-plastic wedge has been employed below the footing. The analysis incorporates the stress singularities at the inner as well as outer edges of the ring footing. Bearing capacity factors, Nc, Nq and Nγ are presented as a function of soil internal friction angle (ϕ) and the ratio (ri/ro) of inner to outer radii of the footing.  相似文献

In the lattice energy expression of forsterite, based on a Born-Mayer (electrostatic+repulsive+dispersive) potential, the oxygen charge z o, the hardness parameter ρ and the repulsive radii r Mg and r Si appear as unknown parameters. These were determined by calculating the first and second partial derivatives of the energy with respect to the cell edges, and equalizing them to quantities related to the crystal elastic constants; the overdetermined system of equations was solved numerically, minimizing the root-mean-square deviation. To test the results obtained, the SiO 4 4? ion was assumed to move in the unit-cell, and the least-energy configuration was sought and compared with the experimental one. By combining the two methods, the optimum set of parameters was: z o=?1.34, ρ=0.27 Å, r Mg=0.72 Å, r Si=0.64 Å. The values ?8565.12 and ?8927.28 kJ mol?1 were obtained, respectively, for the lattice energy E Land for its ionic component E L 0 ,which accounts for interactions between Mg2+ and SiO 4 4? ions only. The charge distribution calculated on the SiO 4 4? ion was discussed and compared with other results. Using appropriate thermochemical cycles, the formation enthalpy and the binding energy of SiO 4 4? were estimated to be: ΔH f(SiO 4 4? )=2117.6 and E(SiO 4 4? )=708.6 kJ mol?1, respectively.  相似文献

Koyna-Warna Region (KWR) is one of the known sites for reservoir triggered seismicity. The continued triggered seismicity over the five decades is restricted to a region of about 600–700 sq. km, which provides a unique opportunity to monitor geophysical anomalies likely to be associated with seismicity of the region. Present study confers temporal gravity changes recorded by gPhone and GRACE satellite and interprets observed changes in conjunction with seismological, geodetic (cGPS) observations and groundwater level measurements. GRACE data suggest that seasonal vertical deformation due to hydrological loading is ~ 2 cm, which corroborates with continuous GPS observations. Seasonal hydrological loading of the region, which is in a phase of reservoir loading, might be influencing the critically stressed KWR leading to the seasonal seismicity of the region. The gPhone gravity data distinctly show co-seismic gravity signals for eight earthquakes of Mw > 2 and gravity anomalies show positive correlation on a logarithmic scale with earthquake released energy. To investigate the cause of gravity changes, an estimate is made for 14th April 2012 earthquake for Mw 4.8 using fault dislocation model. The recorded gravity changes of 189 μGal by gPhone located at a distance of 28 km from the hypocentre is much more than the estimate of ~0.1 μGal calculated for Mw 4.8 Koyna earthquake. Therefore, it is inferred that co-seismic gravity signals for eight earthquakes are primarily caused due to redistribution of mass at shallow depth.  相似文献

滇西地区地质构造演化复杂,成矿地质条件优越,经历了多期次、多类型成矿作用,形成了多条各具特色的金多金属成矿带。文章通过对区内金沙江-哀牢山金多金属成矿带内北衙、马厂箐、姚安、长安等典型矿床的解剖和对比研究,发现带内金多金属矿床与经典的斑岩型矿床相比具有显著的差异性,主要表现是:成矿岩体岩性以碱性系列为特征,w(K2O+Na2O)超过8%;成矿流体碱质含量偏高,流体阳离子(K++Na+)含量约占流体总量的87%~95%;成矿过程中,除岩浆热液参与成矿外,岩浆气水热液与围岩间的水岩反应,是导致矿质沉淀的主体;自成矿岩体向外依次发育裂隙脉型、矽卡岩型、构造破碎带型和石英硫化物脉型矿化,组成多位一体。文章基于典型矿床特征的系统总结,提出了“碱质热液型”金多金属矿床的概念,并对其成矿作用过程进行了初步探讨。最终,文章构建了滇西地区碱质热液型金多金属矿地物化遥综合找矿模型,并指导相关矿床找矿勘查取得了重要进展。  相似文献

Experiments on the join Al2SiO5-“Mn2SiO5” of the system Al2O3-SiO2-MnO-MnO2 in the pressure/temperature range 10–20 kb/900–1050° C with gem quality andalusite, Mn2O3, and high purity SiO2 as starting materials and using /O2-buffer techniques to preserve the Mn3+ oxidation state had following results: At 20 kb/1000°C orange-yellow kyanite mixed crystals are formed. The kyanite solid solubility is limited at about (Al1.88Mn 0.12 3+ )SiO5 and, thus, equals approximately that on the join Al2SiO5-“Fe2SiO5” (Langer and Frentrup, 1973) indicating that there is no Jahn-Teller stabilisation of Mn3+ in the kyanite matrix. 5 mole % substitution causes the kyanite lattice constants a o, b o, c o, and V o to increase by 0.015, 0.009, 0.014 Å, and 1.6 Å3, resp., while α, β, γ, remain unchanged. Between 10 and 18 kb/900°C, Mn3+-substituted, strongly pleochroitic (emeraldgreen-yellow) andalusitess (viridine) was obtained. At 15 kb/900°C, the viridine compositional range is about (Al1.86Mn 0.14 3+ )SiO5-(Al1.56Mn 0,44 3+ )SiO5. Thus, Al→Mn3+ substitutional degrees are appreciably higher in andalusite than in kyanite, proving a strong Jahn-Teller effect of Mn3+ in the andalusite structure, which stabilises this structure type at the expense of kyanite and sillimanite and, thus, enlarges its PT-stability range extremely. 17 mole % substitution cause the andalusite constants a o, b o, c o, and V o to increase by 0.118, 0.029, 0.047 Å and 9.4 Å3, resp. At “Mn2SiO5”-contents smaller than about 7 mole %, viridine coexists with Mn-poor kyanite. At “Mn2SiO5”-concentrations higher than the maximum kyanite or viridine miscibility, braunite (tetragonal, ideal formula Mn2+Mn3+[O8/Si04]), pyrolusite and SiO2 were found to coexist with the Mn3+-saturated ky ss or and ss, respectively. In both cases, braunites were Al-substituted (about 1 Al for 1 Mn3+). Pure synthetic braunites had the lattice constants a o 9.425, c o, 18.700 Å, V o 1661.1 Å3 (ideal compn.) and a o 9.374, c o 18.593 Å3, V o 1633.6 Å3 (1 Al for 1 Mn3+). Stable coexistence of the Mn2+-bearing phase braunite with the Mn4+-bearing phase pyrolusite was proved by runs in the limiting system MnO-MnO2-SiO2.  相似文献

In this paper, we report that the ratio of broadband energy (0.01?C2?Hz) to high-frequency energy (0.3?C2?Hz), E r, estimated from regional seismograms of India, might be a useful parameter in estimating tsunami potential of earthquakes in the Sumatra?CAndaman region. E r is expected to be sensitive to the depth as well as to the source characteristics of an earthquake. Since a shallow and slow earthquake has a greater tsunamigenic potential, E r may be a useful diagnostic parameter. We base our analysis on broadband seismograms of the great earthquakes of Sumatra?CAndaman (2004, M w?~?9.2) and Nias (2005, M w 8.6), 41 of their aftershocks, and the earthquakes of north Sumatra (2010, M w 7.8) and Nicobar (2010, M w 7.4) recorded at VISK, a station located on the east coast of India. In the analysis, we also included the two recent, great strike-slip earthquakes of north Sumatra (2012, M w 8.6, 8.2) recorded at VISK and three south Sumatra earthquakes (2007, M w 8.5; 2007, M w 7.9; 2010, M w 7.8) recorded at PALK, a station in Sri Lanka. We find that E r is a function of depth; shallower earthquakes have higher E r values than the deeper ones. Thus, E r may be indicative of tsunamigenic potential of an earthquake. As M w and E r increase so does the tsunami potential. In addition to the parameter E r, the radiated seismic energy, E s, may be estimated from the regional seismograms in India using empirical Green??s function technique. The technique yields reliable E s for the great Sumatra and Nias earthquakes. E r and E s computed from VISK data, along with M w and focal mechanism, may be useful in estimating tsunami potential along the east coast of India from earthquakes in the Sumatra?CAndaman region in less than ~20?min.  相似文献

Mining of hard rock ore deposits produces large amounts of tailings. The safe disposal and management of these tailings require an extensive characterization that should include their drying and desaturation behaviour. Desiccation tests have been performed to characterize the shrinkage response of low plasticity tailings having an initially loose state. The testing procedure developed for this purpose is briefly described here. The main shrinkage tests results are then presented. The experimental data are compared with those obtained from water retention tests performed in a pressure plate with volume change measurements. These two types of results are combined to define unsaturated (drying and shrinkage) relationships in six complementary planes that include the volumetric shrinkage curve and the water retention curve. Specific material characteristics are then determined, including the shrinkage limit w S, final void ratio e f, and air entry value ψ a. Additional tests were also performed to define critical parameters at the initiation of cracking in terms of suction ψ, water content w, and degree of saturation S r. The original results presented here indicate that the onset of desaturation is closely linked with the end of volumetric straining and with crack initiation. Results also show that the shrinkage limit w S is a function of the specimen initial water content w 0. Other related characteristics are also presented and discussed.  相似文献

Reliable wet chemical methods of minor element analysis (F, Cl, OH) and X-ray diffraction studies reveal that a coupled substitution of fluorine and carbonate is required in natural carbon-bearing apatites. Thus, CO 3 2– · Freplaces PO 4 3– with tetravalent carbon substituting for pentavalent phosphorus and a halogen in excess replacing one O2– to give: Ca10 [(PO4)6–x(CO3·F)x](F, OH, Cl)2 The coupled substitution not only maintains the electrical neutrality of the structure, but also retains the tetrahedral coordination for the cations involved. The resulting variation in the unit cell parameter ao corresponds well with the proposed geometrical model: partial replacement of P5+ (ionic radius 0.35Å) by the smaller C4+ (0.16 Å) ion reduces the lateral distance between the Ca-O trigonal prism columns, thus shortening the length of the ao cell edge. The replacement of P by C does not have a significant effect on the cell dimension co which is mainly determined by the distance of the Ca- and O-triangles and is not influenced directly by minor substitutions of C for P. Our investigations suggest a carbonate apatite (francolite) with a stoichiometric chemical formula. The nature of the anion configuration is emphasized in this paper.  相似文献

新民铝土矿床位于黔北务川-正安-道真地区(简称务正道地区)大塘向斜东翼,铝土矿(岩)型Li资源丰富.含矿岩系大竹园组(P1d)不同岩性的w(Li)有差别:土状-半土状铝土矿平均w(Li)为16.34×10-6,致密块状铝土矿平均w(Li)是803.84×10-6,铝土岩平均w(Li)是1436.22×10-6,黏土岩的平均w(Li)是786.62×10-6,梁山组泥岩的平均w(Li)是51.82×10-,韩家店群泥岩(页岩)的平均w(Li)是48.52×10-6,黄龙组灰岩的平均w(Li)是 11.99×10-6.由此可知,研究区铝土矿(岩)型Li资源主要富集在含矿岩系中上部的致密块状铝土矿、铝土岩和黏土岩中,顶板、底板以及土状-半土状铝土矿w(Li)较低.Li主要赋存于高岭石中,伊利石(水云母)和残存的三水铝石、勃姆石也可富集少量Li,当样品中赋锂矿物(高岭石、伊利石(水云母)、三水铝石和勃姆石)都存在时,高w(Li),主量元素w(Al3O2)、w(SiO2)、w(MgO)、w(K2O)、w(TiO2)和w(TFe2O3)与w(Li)的相关性也证实了上述结果.研究区的地球化学比值 CIA、w(Sr)/w(Cu)、u(CaO)/w(MgO)、w(Sr)/w(Ba)、w(V)/w(V+Ni)和 w(La)/w(Y)综合显示,炎热潮湿的古气候下,有机质腐烂形成酸性环境,半封闭海湾环境下,黏土化阶段中等强烈的化学风化程度和适宜的风化暴露剥蚀时间利于铝硅酸盐矿物和硅酸盐矿物化学键断裂,富集Al3+形成高岭石;风化程度过于强烈和长时间的风化剥蚀,继续脱Si富Al形成以硬水铝石为主的铝土矿;弱酸性-弱碱性以及氧化-还原过渡条件下,使得高岭石能最大程度的吸附Li元素.  相似文献

Internal geometry and detachment of Coulomb thrust wedges is examined in a combined gravity and pressure force field under various boundary conditions and Coulomb parameters. Frontally buttressed sand wedges accreted with narrow tapers above soles with negligible friction. In these models, serial imbricates stepped-up in conjugate sets which operated synchronously or serially. With increases in sole friction, model Coulomb wedges accreted in piggyback style with enhanced taper but narrower spacing of imbricates. In this mode, flat-topped box-fold anticlines nucleated at the frontal tip of a sole thrust prior to the fore-limb failing as a ramp. The initial ramp-thrusts subsequently rotated and steepened to acquire concave-upwards listric geometry. When cohesion was a significant component of strength, and the sand grains interlocked thoroughly, ramp climb during piggyback thrusting occurred through the generation of a stack of backthrusts. The taper of cohesionless sand wedges, which lack any length scale, was consistent with the critical cohesionless Coulomb wedge taper. In contrast, the taper of experimental cohesive sand wedges, which are scale-dependent, was consistent with the theoretical cohesive Coulomb narrow taper, only when the cohesive length scale was lrSr/ϱrar ≤ 10−6. This was constrained by comparing geometry of cohesive sand wedges shortened at different body force per unit mass.  相似文献

The relative merits of differently constrained fits to the same data can be tested approximately if it is assumed that the errors in the location of the poles are isotropic and normally distributed. 岩石与矿物地球化学数据常用于判别岩石成因、构造环境等,事实上它们也可以用于判别岩石成矿专属性,从而更好地指导找矿工作。通过对含铜镍矿的基性-超基性岩与含铬铁矿的基性-超基性岩全岩主量、铂族元素和铬铁矿尖晶石地球化学特征进行综合对比研究结果显示:1)铜镍矿的m/f值主要集中在1.5~8.5,铬铁矿主要集中在6.5~12.5,有一定重叠,因此通过m/f值确定是否成矿具有不确定因素;利用全岩主量元素的二元图解进行判别也存在重叠区域,不利于成矿专属性的判别。2)铜镍矿基性-超基性岩全岩具有高的w(PPGE)/w(IPGE)值(0.06~343.75,平均16),w(Pd)/w(Ir)1;铂族元素具有左倾的原始地幔配分模式;铬铁矿尖晶石高w(TiO_2)、Fe~#值,Cr~#、Mg~#值变化范围较大。3)铬铁矿基性-超基性岩全岩具有低的w(PPGE)/w(IPGE)值(0.000 4~20.34,平均0.55),w(Pd)/w(Ir)1,铂族元素具有右倾的原始地幔配分模式;铬铁矿尖晶石低w(TiO2),Fe~#、Mg~#值,高Cr~#值。因此,利用基性-超基性岩的铂族元素与铬铁矿地球化学特征值能有效指示成矿专属性,可成为基性-超基性岩铬铁矿与铜镍矿的勘查工具。  相似文献

A simple index of roundness measurement, (2rL) × 100), based upon radius of curvature (r) and maximum length (L) is applied to 8500 pebbles sampled from glacial deposits and contemporary river channel deposits in Wensleydale, Yorkshire. The index successfully distinguishes between till and fluvioglacial material but not between till and deposits in features previously described as lateral moraine. When applied to material from the channel of the River Cover, the index demonstrates a rapid increase of roundness in the first 4–5 km below the initial rock outcrop, followed by a further very slight downstream increase in roundness, although spatial variations occur due to increase in slope, waterfalls, potholes and supply of material. The downvalley pattern of roundness of glacial deposits in Wensleydale suggests that one of four postulated moraines is composed of till but that the other three are of fluvioglacial origin. Roundness of material in the glacial deposits increases rapidly in 4 km below the moraine but subsequently shows a slight downvalley increase.  相似文献

In this work, the effectiveness of native and chemically modified rice bran to remove heavy metal Pb(II) ions from aqueous solution was examined. Chemical modifications with some simple and low-cost chemicals resulted in enhancement of the adsorption capacities and had faster kinetics than native rice bran. Experiments were conducted in shake flasks to monitor the upshot of parameters over a range of pH, initial Pb(II) concentrations and contact times using a batch model study. The sorption capacities q (mg g?1) increased in the following order: NaOH (147.78), Ca(OH)2 (139.08), Al(OH)3 (127.24), esterification (124.28), NaHCO3 (118.08), methylation (118.88), Na2CO3 (117.12) and native (80.24). The utmost uptake capacity q (mg g?1) was shown by NaOH-pretreated rice bran. The results showed that, using NaOH-modified rice bran, the chief removal of Pb(II) was 74.54 % at pH 5, primary Pb(II) concentration 100 mg L?1 and contact time 240 min. Equilibrium isotherms for the Pb(II) adsorption were analyzed by Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models. The Langmuir isotherm model, showing Pb(II) sorption as accessible through the high value of the correlation coefficient (R 2 = 0.993), showed a q max value of 416.61 mg g?1. The kinetic model illustrated adsorption rates well, depicted by a second order, which gives an indication concerning the rate-limiting step. Thermodynamic evaluation of the metal ion ?G o was carried out and led to the observation that the adsorption reaction is spontaneous and endothermic in nature. NaOH chemically modified rice bran was a superb biosorbent for exclusion of Pb(II) and proved to be excellent for industrial applications.  相似文献
