The statistics of quantities involved in the synthesis of cloud scenes have been investigated from an original data base. Frequency distributions of ice and water content (IWC), horizontal and vertical sizes (L and H), and top temperatures (T) of clouds above Europe have been derived for nine types of clouds (As, Cb, Ci, Cg, LwCg, OrCg, Cs, Ns, Sc). It appears that the cumulated frequency plots can be well fitted with log-normal or Weibull profiles, and that for IWC and T cloud types can be split into two or three classes according to slopes in logarithmic coordinates. Cross-correlation coefficients between IWC, L, H and T have been also derived. Implications for the physics of the cloud build-up processes are briefly outlined. Critical analysis and comparison of other published results are proposed.  相似文献

This paper describes a general parallel multi-subdomain strategy for solving the weakly dispersive and nonlinear Boussinesq water wave equations. The parallelization strategy is derived from the additive Schwarz method based on overlapping subdomains. Besides allowing the subdomains to independently solve their local problems, the strategy is also flexible in the sense that different discretization schemes, or even different mathematical models, are allowed in different subdomains. The parallelization strategy is particularly attractive from an implementational point of view, because it promotes the reuse of existing serial software and opens for the possibility of using different software in different subdomains.We study the strategy’s performance with respect to accuracy, convergence properties of the Schwarz iterations, and scalability through numerical experiments concerning waves in a basin, solitary waves, and waves generated by a moving vessel. We find that the proposed technique is promising for large-scale parallel wave simulations. In particular, we demonstrate that satisfactory accuracy and convergence speed of the Schwarz iterations are obtainable independent of the number of subdomains, provided there is sufficient overlap. Moreover, existing serial wave solvers are readily reusable when implementing the parallelization strategy.  相似文献

Magnetorheological (MR) damper is a prominent semi-active control device for earthquake responses mitigation of structures. The most important topic for the intelligent MR structures is choosing the control current of MR dampers quickly and accurately. The typical control strategy is on–off control strategy, i.e. bi-state control strategy, while inherent time-delay and coarse control precision lie in this strategy. This paper proposes neuro-fuzzy control strategy, in which the neural-network technique is adopted to solve time-delay problem and the fuzzy controller is used to determine the control current of MR dampers quickly and accurately. Through comparison between the bi-state control and the neuro-fuzzy control strategies and a numerical example about a three-story reinforced concrete structure, it can be concluded that the control strategy is very important for semi-active control, the neuro-fuzzy control strategy can determine currents of MR dampers quickly and accurately, and the control effect of the neuro-fuzzy control strategy is better than that of the bi-state control strategy.  相似文献

磁流变阻尼器(Magnetorheological Damper,MRD)与隔震垫组成的半主动隔震系统能有效地改善被动隔震系统的性能,消除隔震层因过大变形产生的不利影响。基于市场机制的控制(Market-Based Control,MBC)策略是一种利用自由经济市场来模拟控制系统,用销售商和消费者来代替能量源系统和受控系统,并应用市场中商品的供需规律来完成系统控制能量的分配,实现对受控系统有效控制的策略。本文将MBC策略应用于此种半主动隔震系统,提出了相应的控制策略,实现对MRD电压的实时有效控制。算例分析表明,采用此策略能充分利用MRD的变阻尼特性,使结构振动控制效果显著。  相似文献

Traditional control strategies have difficulty handling nonlinear behavior of structures, time variable features and parameter uncertainties of structural control systems under seismic excitation. An off-and-towardsequilibrium (OTE) strategy combined with fuzzy control is presented in this paper to overcome these difficulties. According to the OTE strategy, the control force is designed from the viewpoint of a mechanical relationship between the motions of the structure, the exciting force and the control force. The advantage of the OTE strategy is that it can be used for a variety of control systems. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed strategy, the seismic performance of a three-story shear building with an Active Tendon System (ATS) using a Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) is studied. The main advantage of the fuzzy controller is its inherent robustness and ability to handle any nonlinear behavior of structures. However, there are no design guidelines to set up the corresponding control rule table for a FLC. Based on the proposed strategy for the FLC, a control rule table associated with the building under study is developed, which then allows formation of a detailed algorithm. The results obtained in this study show that the proposed strategy performs slightly better than the linear quadratic regulator (LQR) strategy, while possessing several advantages over the LQR controller. Consequently, the feasibility and validity of the proposed strategy are verified.  相似文献

A semi-active strategy for model predictive control (MPC), in which magneto-rheological dampers are used as an actuator, is presented for use in reducing the nonlinear seismic response of high-rise buildings. A multi-step predictive model is developed to estimate the seismic performance of high-rise buildings, taking into account of the effects of nonlinearity, time-variability, model mismatching, and disturbances and uncertainty of controlled system parameters by the predicted error feedback in the multi-step predictive model. Based on the predictive model, a Kalman-Bucy observer suitable for semi-active strategy is proposed to estimate the state vector from the acceleration and semi-active control force feedback. The main advantage of the proposed strategy is its inherent stability, simplicity, on-line real-time operation, and the ability to handle nonlinearity, uncertainty, and time-variability properties of structures. Numerical simulation of the nonlinear seismic responses of a controlled 20-story benchmark building is carried out, and the simulation results are compared to those of other control systems. The results show that the developed semi-active strategy can efficiently reduce the nonlinear seismic response of high-rise buildings.  相似文献

基于大量强透水砂层盾构施工工程事故现场调研及资料分析,建立大样本数据库并构建强透水砂层盾构施工风险事故树,以分析风险源及各自权重;基于模糊综合评价法探究强透水砂层盾构施工风险评估方法,推导出各风险因素对风险发生概率和损失的评价矩阵,从机理控制层面提出风险控制措施,并以广州某强透水砂层盾构工程实施验证。研究表明,施工风险主要为管片破裂、隧道上浮、渣土喷涌及地表塌陷等,风险发生概率与相应损失程度均可划分为5个等级。可通过加强管片拼装质量、改善上覆土层工程特性、渣土改良及装置改进等风险规避策略,有效控制施工风险,并结合风险规避、保留及转移等3种策略对地表塌陷风险进行有效控制。  相似文献

This paper proposes a hybrid control strategy combining passive and semi‐active control systems for seismic protection of cable‐stayed bridges. The efficacy of this control strategy is verified by examining the ASCE first‐generation benchmark problem for a seismically excited cable‐stayed bridge, which employs a three‐dimensional linearized evaluation bridge model as a testbed structure. Herein, conventional lead–rubber bearings are introduced as base isolation devices, and semi‐active dampers (e.g., variable orifice damper, controllable fluid damper, etc.) are considered as supplemental damping devices. For the semi‐active dampers, a clipped‐optimal control algorithm, shown to perform well in previous studies involving controllable dampers, is considered. Because the semi‐active damper is a controllable energy‐dissipation device that cannot add mechanical energy to the structural system, the proposed hybrid control strategy is fail‐safe in that the bounded‐input, bounded‐output stability of the controlled structure is guaranteed. Numerical simulation results show that the performance of the proposed hybrid control strategy is quite effective in protecting seismically excited cable‐stayed bridges. Due to their intrinsically nonlinear characteristics, development of control strategies that are implementable and can fully utilize the capabilities of semiactive control devices is an important and challenging task. In this study, two control strategies are proposed for protecting buildings against dynamic hazards, such as severe earthquakes and strong winds, using one of the most promising semiactive control devices, the magnetorheological (MR) damper. The first control strategy is implemented by introducing an inverse neural network (NN) model of the MR damper. These NN models provide direct estimation of the voltage that is required to produce a target control force calculated from some optimal control algorithms. The major objective of this research is to provide an effective means for implementation of the MR damper with existing control algorithms. The second control strategy involves the design of a fuzzy controller and an adaptation law. The control objective is to minimize the difference between some desirable responses and the response of the combined system by adaptively adjusting the MR damper. The use of the adaptation law eliminates the need to acquire characteristics of the combined system in advance. Because the control strategy based on the combination of the fuzzy controller and the adaptation law doesn’t require a prior knowledge of the combined building-damper system, this approach provides a robust control strategy that can be used to protect nonlinear or uncertain structures subjected to random loads. This paper deals with the investigation of the Mars subsurface by means of data collected by the Mars Advanced Radar for Subsurface and Ionosphere Sounding working at few megahertz frequencies. A data processing strategy, which combines a simple inversion model and an accurate procedure for data selection is presented. This strategy permits to mitigate the theoretical and practical difficulties of the inverse problem arising because of the inaccurate knowledge of the parameters regarding both the scenario under investigation and the radiated electromagnetic field impinging on the Mars surface. The results presented in this paper show that it is possible to reliably retrieve the electromagnetic properties of deeper structures if such strategy is accurately applied. An example is given here, where the analysis of the data collected on Gemina Lingula, a region of the North Polar layer deposits, allowed us to retrieve permittivity values for the basal unit in agreement with those usually associated to the Earth basaltic rocks.  相似文献

Dynamic substructuring refers to physical testing with computational models in the loop. This paper presents a new strategy for such testing. The key feature of this strategy is that it decouples the substructuring controller from the physical subsystem. Unlike conventional approaches, it does not explicitly include a tracking controller. Consequently, the design and implementation of the substructuring controls are greatly simplified. This paper motivates the strategy and discusses the main concept along with details of the substructuring control design. The focus is on configurations that use shake tables and active mass drivers. An extensive experimental assessment of the new strategy is presented in a companion paper, where the influence of various factors such as virtual subsystem dynamics, control gains, and nonlinearities is investigated, and it is shown that robustly stable and accurate substructuring is achieved.  相似文献

本文提出一种新的航电设备减振控制策略,采用半主动磁流变阻尼器与小阻尼柔性橡胶支座来取代目前采用高阻尼刚性橡胶支座的方法,以降低对航电设备的耐振要求,增强飞机飞行的安全性。本文建立了航电设备减振控制的两自由度刚体平-扭耦联模型,荷载激励考虑了基底平动与转动加速度。磁流变阻尼器的半主动控制算法选用限幅最优控制算法,主控制器为H2/LQG控制器,并采用一种加速度反馈的控制策略。针对目前的被动控制方案,本文研究了支座阻尼对减振控制效果的影响。为了得到最优的半主动控制效果,本文对控制器的权矩阵进行了参数优化分析。文中针对一系列工况详细比较了本文所提出的半主动控制策略与目前被动控制策略的减振控制效果。仿真分析结果表明,磁流变阻尼器可以非常有效地减小航电设备的动力反应,新的减振控制策略远优于现有的被动控制方案。  相似文献

针对多点动态加载系统中多路液压伺服系统特性不一致造成的响应不同步问题,提出一种基于W idrow-Hoff学习算法的液压伺服系统协调加载控制策略,通过迅速地调整伺服系统输入正弦信号的幅值和相位,使多路系统的响应在短时间内与设定信号相一致并协调动作。将此算法应用于实际加载系统,试验证明能够有效地控制多路液压伺服系统的协调动作,从而达到多点协调加载的目的。  相似文献

In the arid and semi-arid Indian state of Rajasthan, tanks and ponds have been a mainstay of rural communities for centuries. This paper assesses a rehabilitation strategy proposed for 1200 large tanks. It argues that treating tanks only as flow irrigation systems is very likely to result in a flawed strategy. As the experience of NGOs work shows, Rajasthan's tanks belong more to the watershed development domain than to the irrigation domain and a strategy that views tanks as multi-use socio-ecological constructs, and which recognizes varied stakeholder groups is more likely to enhance the social value of tanks.  相似文献

基于双程波动方程的逆时偏移被认为是目前最好的偏移成像技术,更适合于复杂构造成像.然而,大计算量和大存储量使得逆时偏移的计算成本很高而无法用于大数据量的地震成像.本文分析了目前常用的存储策略,并分别在空间和时间上对存储策略进行了研究:空间上,根据有限差分格式,在边界存储策略的基础上通过修改波场逆向传播的边界条件,提出了有效边界存储策略.该策略可在不增加任何计算量的情况下大幅降低逆时偏移对存储量的需求;在时间上,使用checkpointing技术对有效边界存储策略进行了改进,使叠前逆时偏移在增加少量计算量的情况下进一步降低存储量需求.Marmousi模型测试结果表明了有效边界存储策略的有效性和优越性.  相似文献

Real‐time hybrid testing is an experimental technique for evaluating the dynamic responses of structural systems under seismic loading. Servo‐hydraulic actuators, by nature, induce inevitable time delay between the command and the achieved displacements. This delay would lead to incorrect test results and even cause instability of the system; therefore, delay compensation is critical for stability and accuracy of hybrid simulations of structural dynamic response. In this paper, a dual delay compensation strategy is proposed by a combination of a phase lead compensator and a restoring force compensator. An outer‐loop feed‐forward phase lead compensator is derived by introducing the inverse model in the z domain. The adaptive law based on the gradient algorithm is used to estimate the system delay in the format of parametric model during the test. It is shown mathematically that the parameter in the delay estimator is guaranteed to converge. The restoring force compensator is adopted to improve the accuracy of experimental results especially when the structure is subjected to high frequency excitations. Finally, analytical simulations of an inelastic SDOF structure are conducted to investigate the feasibility of the proposed strategy. Abstract

Currently, environmental modelling is frequently conducted with the aid of artificial neural networks (ANNs) in an effort to achieve greater accuracy in simulation and forecasting beyond that typically obtained when using solely linear models. For the design of an ANN, modellers must contend with two key issues: (a) the selection of model input and (b) the determination of the number of hidden neurons. A novel approach is introduced to address the optimal design of ANNs based on a multi-objective strategy that enables the user to find a set of feasible ANNs, determined as optimal trade-off solutions between model simplicity and accuracy. This is achieved in a multi-objective fashion by simultaneously minimizing three different cost functions: the model input dimension, the hidden neuron number and the generalization error computed on a validation set of data. The multi-objective approach is based on the Pareto dominance criterion and an evolutionary strategy has been employed to solve the combinatorial optimization problem. From a theoretical perspective, the choice of a multi-objective approach marks an attempt to account for, and overcome, the “curse of dimensionality” and to circumvent the drawbacks of “overfitting” that are inherent in ANNs. Moreover, it is demonstrated that the strategy renders the choice of the ANN more robust, as is evident by “unseen data” in the testing stage, since structure determination is not merely based on the statistical evaluation of the generalization performance. The methodology is tested and the results are reported in a case study relating groundwater level predictions to total monthly rainfall.  相似文献

This paper is on an extensive experimental evaluation program to explore the robustness of a new strategy dynamic substructuring. This strategy, in contrast to conventional approaches, decouples the substructuring controller from the physical subsystem, and consequently results in a simple, yet robust, implementation. The concept is presented in detail in a companion paper. A configuration consisting of a shake table and an active mass driver is used in the experimental program, and various factors such as dynamics of virtual subsystems used, modeling of the actuator, choice of control gain settings, and nonlinear effects in the actuator are investigated, leading to the conclusion that the proposed strategy results in robust performance.  相似文献
