Street‐level images taken by vehicles and pedestrians have found a role in various companies’ location‐based intelligence services. Some platforms collect their images using their own cars and drivers, while others rely on crowdsourcing; however, to what extent can we expect crowdsourced approaches to reach the imagery coverage levels obtained by paid drivers? Is capturing every single street a useful or obtainable goal? We use online coverage maps to compare Google Street View, Mapillary, and OpenStreetCam in 24 major world cities and 25 differently sized cities in Brazil. We find that Google has often taken an all‐or‐nothing approach to collecting coverage in world cities, whereas crowdsourced platforms have achieved a more even distribution of coverage across space. Extremely low‐ and high‐income neighborhoods are sometimes omitted due to visible and invisible barriers. Coverage patterns are influenced by how and why each company procures imagery, along with other social, economic, and geographic factors.  相似文献

This article assesses the completeness of bicycle trail and on‐street lane features in OpenStreetMap (OSM). Comparing OSM cycling features with reference data from local planning agencies for selected US Urbanized Areas shows that OSM bicycle trails tend to be more completely mapped than bicycle lanes. Manual evaluation of mapped cycling features in OSM and Google Maps for selected test areas within the Central Business Districts of Portland (OR) and Miami (FL) through comparison with governmental datasets, satellite imagery, and Google Street View, shows that the Bicycle layer in Google Maps can help to identify some missing or erroneously mapped OSM cycling links. However, Google Maps was also found to have some gaps in its data layers, suggesting that consultation of current trail and lane data from local planning authorities, if available, should be considered as an additional data source for bicycle related planning projects.  相似文献

为了合理分析城市公共交通发展现状并对其发展提供可参考的依据,本文利用地理信息系统空间分析和统计方法,在确立多个评价指标的基础上,对城市公共交通覆盖度情况进行不同角度、不同方面的评价。以沈阳市内部分区域为研究对象,提取研究区域基础地理数据,结合人口数据以及公共交通线网缓冲区,选取城市主次干道为边界划分分析单元,将人口密度与道路数据相结合,将评价体系与数据进行对比分析。根据评价指标,得到研究范围内城市公交资源的分布状况。实验结果表明,该方法能够较好地分析城市公共交通分布特征,为城市交通规划设计提供思路。  相似文献

提出了一种从车载激光扫描数据中自动提取路面的方法。通过分析车载激光扫描点云的空间特征,提出运用近似平面约束法、有序最小二乘坡度估计法和多尺度窗口迭代分析法进行初始路面种子点提取;然后基于局部坡度滤波方法提取所有的路面点;最后选择两组实际点云数据进行实验。结果表明,该方法能快速准确地提取高速公路路面点云,实验数据的提取准确率为95.74%,完整率为98.11%。  相似文献

Currently, methods of extracting spatial information from satellite images are mainly based on visual interpretations and drawing the consequences by human factor, which is both costly and time consuming. A large volume of data collected by satellite sensors, and significant improvement in spatial and spectral resolution of these images require the development of new methods for optimal use of these data in order to produce rapid economic and updating road maps. In this study, a new automatic method is proposed for road extraction by integrating the SVM and Level Set methods. The estimated probability of classification by SVM is used as input in Level Set Method. The average of completeness, correctness, and quality was 84.19, 88.69 and 76.06% respectively indicate high performance of proposed method for road extraction from Google Earth images.  相似文献

自发地理信息(VGI)是一种新兴的地理数据采集方式,具有数据更新快、细节丰富、覆盖范围广等优势。利用VGI数据可以对道路网实现快速更新;但是由于VGI数据是非专业自发共享的,且数据采集时多使用非专业设备,所以存在数据质量不高的问题。大量VGI数据对同一地理要素的重复采集与融合处理则可改善数据的质量,文中以多人采集的道路网数据为例,结合矢量要素的匹配与融合理论,设计一种适用于道路网VGI数据的匹配与融合算法。首先在路段结点处建立缓冲区进行结点匹配,再根据路段距离相似度进行路段匹配,最后再利用Delaunay三角剖分融合算法对匹配后的同名路段进行融合。将匹配融合后的道路网与原始道路网VGI数据及Google影像图叠加对比分析,结果表明利用本文算法可有效地实现道路网VGI数据的匹配与融合。  相似文献

行人路网的完整性和准确性是保障步行导航服务的关键。当前的行人路网大多是基于室外道路设施构建的,缺乏室内可步行路径的数据支持,无法在导航应用中提供准确、真实的最优路径规划服务。鉴于此,本文提出了一种基于众源数据的室内外一体化行人路网构建方法,采用智能手机定位传感器与惯性传感器记录的众源轨迹,首先对缺失或者漂移的室内步行数据进行筛选,然后使用改进的行人航位推算(PDR)方法推算出准确的室内轨迹,进而采用莫尔斯理论生成涵盖室内外行人路径的完整行人路网。试验分析中对搜集到的260条步行轨迹数据进行行人路网构建,并使用高精度测量设备采集真实路网数据进行对比分析,结合OSM数据对试验结果进行综合评价。试验结果表明,本文方法能够准确、完整地生成室内外一体化行人路网。  相似文献

We present here the examples that show how fusing data from hyperspectral sensors with data from high spatial resolution sensors can enhance overall road detection accuracy. The fusion of hyperspectral and high spatial resolution data combines their superior respective spectral and spatial information. IKONOS (MSS) and Hyperion images were fused using the principal component analysis (PCA) method. The approach for road extraction integrates multiresolution segmentation and object oriented classification. Road extraction is done from an IKONOS (MSS) image and a Hyperion and IKONOS (MSS) merged image and comparisons are made depending on accuracy and quality measures such as completeness and correctness. This article also emphasises the types of roads which are giving better accuracy of extraction after fusion with hyperspectral image. This can vary because of types of material and condition of roads. The methodology was applied on roads of Dehradun, India.  相似文献

为避免由于城市道路复杂及树木建筑的阴影遮挡导致从遥感影像中提取道路信息不准确的问题,本文采用高分影像和LiDAR数据相融合的方法实现城市道路的提取,并使用一种基于最小面积外接矩形(MABR)的后处理改进方法进行完善。首先对试验区进行数据配准;然后应用FNEA算法进行图像分割,并使用随机森林分类法进行分类,将影像融合和对象形状指数等相关算子应用到道路提取中;最后去除植被和建筑物,完善道路填充,提取出道路完整信息。结果多伦多和台安试验区的道路完整度分别为95.41%和90.84%,准确度分别为83.07%和85.63%。本文方法可有效去除伪道路信息,提高道路提取完整度,较好地实现了道路信息提取。  相似文献

The existing roadway infrastructures are mostly archived with two-dimensional (2D) drawings that lack the possibility for three-dimensional (3D) interpretation and advanced 3D analysis. The mobile LiDAR system (MLS) is gaining popularity in 3D mapping applications along various types of road corridors. MLS achieves the highest data quality and completeness among the traditional roadway data collection methods. The rural roads in different countries especially in India form a substantial portion of the road network. Therefore the proper maintenance and road safety analysis of rural roads are recommended activity, which could be addressed using detailed 3D road surface information. The absence of raised curb at road boundary, and presence of complexity, heterogeneity and occlusions along the rural roadway settings restrict the use of existing studies for road surface extraction using MLS point cloud data. Therefore considering the above requirement, this research paper proposes a two-stage method. The first stage extract planar ground surfaces which are further used to filter road surface in the second stage. Global properties of road, that is, topology and smoothness and its radiometric response to laser beam of MLS are used in the second stage. MLS point cloud data of rural roadway were used to test the proposed method. The road surface points were accurately extracted without being affected by the absence of raised curb and hanging objects over the road surface, that is, tree canopies and overhead power lines. The quantitative assessment of the proposed method was performed in terms of correctness, completeness and quality, which were 96.3, 94.2, and 90.9%, respectively.  相似文献

Having an active lifestyle is recognized to positively contribute to public health. Creating more walkable streets and neighborhoods is an important way to promote an active lifestyle for urban residents. It is therefore important to understand how the urban built environment can influence human walking activities. In this study, we investigated the interaction of human walking activities and physical characteristics of streetscapes in Boston. A large number of anonymous pedestrian trajectories collected from a smartphone application were used to estimate human walking activities. Publicly accessible Google Street View images were used to estimate the amount of street greenery and the enclosure of street canyons, both of which were used to indicate the physical characteristics of streetscapes. The Walk Score and population were also added in the statistical analyses to control the influence of nearby urban facilities and population on human walking activities. Statistical analysis results show that both the street greenery and the enclosure of the street canyons are significantly associated with human walking activities. The associations between the streetscape variables and human walking activities vary in different land use types. The results of this study have implications for designing walkable and healthy cities.  相似文献

土地覆被作为地表自然和人工建造物的综合体,是开展土地科学相关研究的重要基础,在遥感大数据背景下,准确、快速、自动化进行土地覆被提取技术一直是遥感研究中的重点。本文基于eCognition软件,采用面向对象的多尺度分割法,综合考虑地物在遥感影像上的光谱、形状和纹理特征,建立多种地物提取规则。通过模糊函数、支持向量机(SVM)和阈值法对研究区的土地覆被进行分类提取,并与研究区的FROM-GLC10数据和土地利用变更数据进行了对比分析。结果表明:①研究区土地覆被分类的总体精度为97%,Kappa系数为0.96,分类精度较高;②基于10 m分辨率影像,综合使用形状、纹理、光谱信息对于道路的提取具有较好的效果,道路提取Kappa系数为0.84;③分类结果在面积和空间分布上都优于FROM-GLC10数据,与研究区实际土地变更数据保持较好的一致性。基于面向对象与规则的分类方法提取地物能够有效利用多种遥感影像特征,分类精度高,对于处理高分辨率遥感数据具有很好的优势。  相似文献

随着近年来中国出境客流井喷式增长,国内用户对境外交通地图产品的需求不断增加。长期以来,境外道路数据因其数据资源较少,道路标准与国内存在较大差异,导致国内用户对其理解与应用等方面都存在着较大难度。境外道路数据在三维环境下的可视化研究工作旨在增强地图表现力,提高用户在难以接触实地情况下的快速认知水平。本文基于空间认知理论,结合地图学和色彩学等学科的知识,对境外矢量道路数据的三维可视化方法进行研究,提出了基于Google Earth平台Open StreetMap(OSM)道路数据的二级解译模式和三维环境下道路符号中的视觉层次建立方法,并在EV-Globe海量空间信息平台的三维环境中进行实验。  相似文献

针对无矢量参考数据自发地理信息道路精度难以评价的问题,提出了一种基于影像匹配的道路精度评价方法。首先提取影像与自发地理信息中的道路交叉口作为控制点,并将对应的交叉口进行匹配,以同名控制点的均方根误差作为自发地理信息的道路精度;然后以两组控制点分别构建Delaunay三角网,利用两组控制点的对应关系对每个三角网进行仿射变换,从而实现对自发地理信息道路的几何纠正,以提高其精度。最后以郑州市的Open Street Map道路数据进行试验,结果表明本文算法能够有效提高自发地理信息的道路精度。  相似文献

As mapping is costly and labor‐intensive work, government mapping agencies are less and less willing to absorb these costs. In order to reduce the updating cycle and cost, researchers have started to use user generated content (UGC) for updating road maps; however, the existing methods either rely heavily on manual labor or cannot extract enough information for road maps. In view of the above problems, this article proposes a UGC‐based automatic road map inference method. In this method, data mining techniques and natural language processing tools are applied to trajectory data and geotagged data in social media to extract not only spatial information – the location of the road network – but also attribute information – road class and road name – in an effort to create a complete road map. A case study using floating car data, collected by the National Commercial Vehicle Monitoring Platform of China, and geotagged text data from Flickr and Google Maps/Earth, validates the effectiveness of this method in inferring road maps.  相似文献

在城市双线道路数据更新的需求下,通过分析已有要素匹配方法,提出了一种顾及双线道路特征的单、双线道路匹配方法,用于提取城市双线道路增量更新中的变化信息。为保证双线道路的整体性,将双线道路多边形作为匹配对象,通过分析旧单线道路与多边形的方向、长度以及位置关系设计了单、双线道路匹配综合指标计算模型;然后,根据匹配综合指标确定单、双线道路匹配关系并提取变化信息。实验结果表明,该方法能够较好地满足双线道路更新中变化信息提取的要求,具有一定的实用性。  相似文献

Automated procedures to rapidly identify road networks from high-resolution satellite imagery are necessary for modern applications in GIS. In this paper, we propose an approach for automatic road extraction by integrating a set of appropriate modules in a unified framework, to solve this complex problem. The two main properties of roads used are: (1) spectral contrast with respect to background and (2) locally linear path. Support Vector Machine is used to discriminate between road and non-road segments. We propose a Dominant singular Measure (DSM) for the task of detecting linear (locally) road boundaries. This pair of information of road segments, obtained using Probabilistic SVM (PSVM) and DSM, is integrated using a modified Constraint Satisfaction Neural Network. Results of this integration are not satisfactory due to occlusion of roads, variation of road material, and curvilinear pattern. Suitable post-processing modules (segment linking and region part segmentation) have been designed to address these issues. The proposed non-model based approach is verified with extensive experimentations and performance compared with two state-of-the-art techniques and a GIS based tool, using multi-spectral satellite images. The proposed methodology is robust and shows superior performance (completeness and correctness are used as measures) in automating the process of road network extraction.  相似文献

The amount of volunteered geographic information (VGI) has increased over the past decade, and several studies have been conducted to evaluate the quality of VGI data. In this study, we evaluate the completeness of the road network in the VGI data set OpenStreetMap (OSM). The evaluation is based on an accurate and efficient network-matching algorithm. The study begins with a comparison of the two main strategies for network matching: segment-based and node-based matching. The comparison shows that the result quality is comparable for the two strategies, but the node-based result is considerably more computationally efficient. Therefore, we improve the accuracy of node-based algorithm by handling topological relationships and detecting patterns of complicated network components. Finally, we conduct a case study on the extended node-based algorithm in which we match OSM to the Swedish National Road Database (NVDB) in Scania, Sweden. The case study reveals that OSM has a completeness of 87% in the urban areas and 69% in the rural areas of Scania. The accuracy of the matching process is approximately 95%. The conclusion is that the extended node-based algorithm is sufficiently accurate and efficient for conducting surveys of the quality of OSM and other VGI road data sets in large geographic regions.  相似文献

OpenStreetMap (OSM) is an extraordinarily large and diverse spatial database of the world. Road networks are amongst the most frequently occurring spatial content within the OSM database. These road network representations are usable in many applications. However the quality of these representations can vary between locations. Comparing OSM road networks with authoritative road datasets for a given area or region is an important task in assessing OSM's fitness for use for applications like routing and navigation. Such comparisons can be technically challenging and no software implementation exists which facilitates them easily and automatically. In this article we develop and propose a flexible methodology for comparing the geometry of OSM road network data with other road datasets. Quantitative measures for the completeness and spatial accuracy of OSM are computed, including the compatibility of OSM road data with other map databases. Our methodology provides users with significant flexibility in how they can adjust the parameterization to suit their needs. This software implementation is exclusively built on open source software and a significant degree of automation is provided for these comparisons. This software can subsequently be extended and adapted for comparison between OSM and other external road datasets.  相似文献
