The Astrophysics Data System (ADS) is a distributed data system that provides access to astronomical data and literature information. The data are stored at different data centers. They are searched and retrieved by the users in real time over the Internet The ADS provides access to about 300 catalogs and 4 data archives. In addition about 160,000 abstracts from the astronomical literature can be searched. Besides the data access the ADS provides services such as plotting and image display tools, coordinate conversion tools and table manipulation capabilities. The ADS is available for free to users interested in astronomical data worldwide. Currently there are no restrictions to accessing any of the data in the ADS.  相似文献

Astronomy is a very interesting subject for undergraduate students studying physics. In this paper, we report astronomy education for undergraduate students in the Physics Department of Guangzhou University, and how we are teaching astronomy to the students. Astrophysics has been rapidly developing since 1994, when the center for astrophysics was founded. Now, astrophysics has become a key subject in Guangdong Province, and the Astronomy Science and Technology Research Laboratory one of the key laboratories of the Department of Education of the Guangdong Province. Many undergraduate students, working under the tutorship of faculty members completed their thesis at the Center for Astrophysics in Guangzhou.  相似文献

We present a method to access efficiently and effectively images in large astronomical archives. This method allows users to interactively participate in the retrieval process. They may virtually 'navigate' through the archive for choosing images that are relevant for their purposes. The navigation process is performed by switching back and forth between three retrieval-system modes: a query mode, a browse mode and an inspection mode. The method has been applied to an image retrieval system to access solar radio spectrograms archived at ETH in Zurich. The system, called ASPECT, allows access to over 50000 data sets on-line.  相似文献

天文数据主要包括星表、星图、光谱、文献资料等,其中星表是包含天体信息的数据表格,是天文学家最常用到的天文数据。目前天文数据分布存储在全球各个数据中心。中国最大的天文数据中心是北京天文数据中心,其数据库的重要部分是天文星表数据库。本文阐述了建设天文星表数据库的意义,着重探讨了星表自动入库工具的实现,并介绍了在天文星表数据库基础上的数据融合和数据挖掘。  相似文献

回顾了作为实用天文学和大地测量学中基本研究课题之一的大气折射映射函数研究的进展。介绍了近几年上海天文台发展的大气折射母函数方法 ,以及由此导出的大气折射解析解。对如今广泛地应用在空间测量技术中的几种映射函数做出评述 ;分析了NMF模型的优点和不足之处。介绍了由大气折射母函数方法引出的大气延迟新连分式映射函数和天文大气折射的映射函数方法。利用VLBI实验中高度截止角与基线长度重复率的关系、探空气球 (radiosonde)观测资料、PRARE资料比较了各种映射函数的结果。特别指出了映射函数方法对天文大气折射和光学波段测距精度的改进。讨论了大气折射计算中的主要误差源。  相似文献

In this review, we look back upon the literature, which had the GREGOR solar telescope project as its subject including science cases, telescope subsystems, and post‐focus instruments. The articles date back to the year 2000, when the initial concepts for a new solar telescope on Tenerife were first presented at scientific meetings. This comprehensive bibliography contains literature until the year 2012, i.e., the final stages of commissioning and science verification. Taking stock of the various publications in peer‐reviewed journals and conference proceedings also provides the “historical” context for the reference articles in this special issue of Astronomische Nachrichten/Astronomical Notes (© 2012 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. We investigate the effects of radiative heat losses and thermal conductivity on the hydromagnetic surface waves along a magnetic discontinuity in a plasma of infinite electrical conductivity. We show that the effects of radiative heat losses on such surface waves are appreciable only when values of the plasma pressure on the two sides of the discontinuity are substantially different. Overstability of a surface wave requires that the medium in which it gives larger first-order compression should satisfy the criterion of Field (1965). 阐述了国际上天文照相底片数字化工作的进展:底片的保存、底片数字化的意义和相关技术。扼要地介绍了国际虚拟天文台的情况及其与底片数字化的关系。分析了我国天文底片资料的保存现状,并提出了底片数字化建议:成立由各天文台专家组成的全国底片数字化协调小组,建立各单位保存底片的信息库、改进底片的保存条件、有步骤地对有价值底片上的全部目标进行扫描,以便将其与现代高精度的观测资料相结合,开展有意义的课题研究。  相似文献

Since 1984, the new IAU (1976) System of Astronomical Constants has become effective; meanwhile, the new lunar and planetary ephemerides (DE200/LE200) have been introduced into the Astronomical Almanac. In order to obtain the best fit of these ephemerides to the observational data, some modifications to the constants were made (Kaplan 1961). The modified values of these constants have been accepted by many users (particularly in the Merit Project), (Melbourne et al. 1983), although there has not been any new resolution of IAU. To avoid these inconsistencies, it seems to be necessary to rediscuss the adopted value of some astronomical constants in the new system. This paper discusses the problems for selection of the precession quantities and derives the precession expressions based on the motion of ecliptic from the DE ephemeris.  相似文献

In the 2006?C2009 triennium, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) Working Group on Numerical Standards for Fundamental Astronomy determined a list of Current Best Estimates (CBEs). The IAU 2009 Resolution B2 adopted these CBEs as the IAU (2009) System of Astronomical Constants. 中国虚拟天文台图像处理分析工具(VO_IMPAT),是由国家天文台虚拟天文台项目组开发的一项服务,它提供了对数字巡天图像数据(Digital Sky Survey,DSS)、天文星表以及其他数据库的交互访问。VO_IMPAT的设计目的是实现多波段天文数据的融合。可以将不同波段的星表叠加到DSS底图上,如光学波段的USNO星表、近红外波段的2MASS星表、射电波段的NVSS星表和X射线波段的RASS星表。同时VO_IMPAT还可以对图像进行放大、缩小、伪彩色、等高线、直方图、尖锐化、平滑化、旋转等处理,不同的星表数据可以采用不同的颜色和图标显示。  相似文献

A new database of all astrometric observations of moons of asteroids is offered. It has a simple structure and is accessible through the Internet. Regular database updating is provided when new observational results occur in publications. The database is located at the sites of the Natural Satellites Data Center created as a result of collaboration between the Sternberg Astronomical Institute of Moscow State University and the Institut de Mécanique Céleste et de Calcul des Ephémérides (IMCCE). The database addresses in the Internet are https://doi.org/www.sai.msu.ru/neb/nss/indexr.htm and https://doi.org/nsdb.imcce.fr/obsposrespectively. On entering these sites, we need to select one of three languages, the Observation item, and the Astrometric positions of asteroids with moons item. The observational data are provided here with explanations and hyperlinks to the publications in the bibliographic database SAO/NASA Astrophysics Data System (ADS) Abstract Service.  相似文献

随着天文观测数据的爆炸式增长以及数据网格技术等新兴IT技术的日趋成熟,虚拟天文台应运而生。虚拟天文台成为基于数据网格技术的解决复杂海量天文数据的访问和管理的一种有效手段。我们对现有中国虚拟天文台体系结构底层进行设计与实现,并完成了其核心部分一天文数据结点。天文数据结点可发布和管理异构的数据资源,为用户提供统一的数据访问接口,进而为天文学家实现对各种天文数据的无缝透明访问和处理提供了方便。本文重点介绍了我们设计的天文数据结点的体系结构,以及结点各部分的功能,并讨论了其关键技术的实现。  相似文献
