A nonlinear evolution equation of 2-D short internal waves under condition of weak stratification—cubic Schrödinger equation—is derived by using the reductive perturbation method. Because αβ<0 in the Schrödinger equation, in the linear system the sideband perturbation for the harmonic wave modulation is neutrally stable. At the same time, there is also a sort of wave packet.—KdV envelope soliton. In the nonlinear system the dark soliton is obtained under condition of weak stratification. It is shown that the vertical perturbation of the Brunt-Väìsälä frequency plays a role in forming the KdV envelope soliton and dark soliton.  相似文献

An Estimation of Internal Soliton Forces on a Pile in the Ocean   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Internal soliton forces on oil-platform piles in the ocean are estimated with the Morison Formula. Different from sur- face wave forces, which change only in magnitude along a pile, internal soliton forces can be distributed over the entire pile in the water and they change not only in magnitude but also in direction with depth. Our calculations show that the maximum total force caused by a soliton with its associated current of 2.1 m s-1 is nearly equal to the maximum total force exerted by a surface wave with a wavelength of 300 m and a wave-height of 18 m. The total internal soliton force is large enough to affect the operations of marine oil platforms and other facilities. Therefore, the influence of internal solitons should not be neglected in the design of oil platforms.  相似文献

The thermally and wind-driven ocean circulation is a complicated natural phenomenon in the atmospheric physics. Hence we need to reduce it using basic models and solve the models using approximate methods. A non-linear model of the thermally and wind-driven ocean circulation is used in this paper. The South China Sea (SCS) is one of the most active areas of internal waves. We undertook a program of physical oceanography in the northern South China Sea from June to July of 2009, and conducted a 1-day observation from 15:40 of June 24 to 16:40 of June 25 using a chain of instruments, including temperature sensors, pressure sensors and temperature-pressure meters at a site (117.5°E, 21°N) northeast of the Dongsha Islands. We measured fluctuating tidal and subtidal properties with the thermistor-chain and a ship-mounted Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler, and observed a large-amplitude nonlinear internal wave passing the site followed by a number of small ones. To further investigate this phenomenon, we collected the tidal constituents from the TPXO7.1 dataset to evaluate the tidal characteristics at and around the recording site, from which we knew that the amplitude of the nonlinear internal wave was about 120 m and the period about 20 min. The horizontal and vertical velocities induced by the soliton were approximately 2 m/s and 0.5 m/s, respectively. This soliton occurred 2–3 days after a spring tide.  相似文献

The effect of ocean wave breaking as a non-Bragg mechanism on backscattering cross-section and modulation transfer functions (MTF) of radar was investigated based on Bragg resonance theory and parametric method. The result showed that the additional effect of wave breaking on backscattering cross-section is not more than 20% except for the small incident angle of VV polarized electromagnetic (e.m.) wave but is significant for HH polarized e.m. wave. Breaking waves lead to increase in the modulus of tilt modulation MTF and the larger the wind speed, the faster the increase. For large incident angle, the modulus of tilt modulation MTF with wave breaking decreases quickly with incident angle for HH polarization and approach to that without wave breaking for VV polarization. The hydrodynamic MTF increases 30%-60% when considering wave breaking and the increase is larger for HH polarization than for VV polarization.  相似文献

用金属活动态提取法在广西与山西黄土区进行试验研究,发现在山西黄土区,利用金的水提取态含量偏低,异常不明显,而金的粘土结合态、有机物结合态和铁锰氧化物结合态异常清晰地反映在矿体上方;而在雨量充沛的广西红壤区,金的水提取态和铁锰氧化物结合态异常较好,而粘土结合态金异常效果不太理想。研究结果表明在这两个地区应用金属活动态测量法进行找矿研究时,可以对其提取有利的相态来进行靶位确定。  相似文献

Global and local climate changes could disturb carbon sequestration and carbon stocks in forest soils. Thus, it is important to characterize the stability of soil organic matter and the dynamics of soil organic carbon (SOC) fractions in forest ecosystems. This study had two aims: (1) to evaluate the effects of altitude and vegetation on the content of labile and stabile forms of organic carbon in the mountain soils; and (2) to assess the impact of the properties of soil organic matter on the SOC pools under changing environmental conditions. The studies were conducted in the Karkonosze Mountains (SW Poland, Central Europe). The content of the most labile fraction of carbon (dissolved organic carbon, DOC) decreases with altitude, but the content of fulvic acids (FA), clearly increases in the zone above 1000 m asl, while the stabile fraction (humins, non-hydrolyzing carbon) significantly decreases. A higher contribution of stabile forms was found in soils under coniferous forests (Norway spruce), while a smaller - under deciduous forests (European beech) and on grasslands. The expected climate change and the ongoing land use transformations in the zone above 1000 m asl may lead to a substantial increase in the stable humus fraction (mainly of a non-hydrolyzing carbon) and an increase in the SOC pools, even if humus acids are characterized by a lower maturity and greater mobility favorable to soil podzolization. In the lower zone (below 1000 m asl), a decrease in the most stable humus forms can be expected, accompanied by an increase of DOC contribution, which will result in a reduction in SOC pools. Overall, the expected prevailing (spatial) effect is a decreasing contribution of the most stable humus fractions, which will be associated with a reduction in the SOC pools in medium-high mountains of temperate zone of Central Europe.  相似文献

Submarine landslides occur frequently on most continental margins. They are effective mechanisms of sediment transfer but also a geological hazard to seafloor installations. In this paper, submarine slope stability is evaluated using a 2D limit equilibrium method. Considerations of slope, sediment, and triggering force on the factor of safety (FOS) were calculated in drained and undrained (Φ=0) cases. Results show that submarine slopes are stable when the slope is <16° under static conditions and without a weak interlayer. With a weak interlayer, slopes are stable at <18° in the drained case and at <9° in the undrained case. Earthquake loading can drastically reduce the shear strength of sediment with increased pore water pressure. The slope became unstable at >13° with earthquake peak ground acceleration (PGA) of 0.5 g; whereas with a weak layer, a PGA of 0.2 g could trigger instability at slopes >10°, and >3° for PGA of 0.5 g. The northern slope of the South China Sea is geomorphologically stable under static conditions. However, because of the possibility of high PGA at the eastern margin of the South China Sea, submarine slides are likely on the Taiwan Bank slope and eastern part of the Dongsha slope. Therefore, submarine slides recognized in seismic profiles on the Taiwan Bank slope would be triggered by an earthquake, the most important factor for triggering submarine slides on the northern slope of the South China Sea. Considering the distribution of PGA, we consider the northern slope of the South China Sea to be stable, excluding the Taiwan Bank slope, which is tectonically active.  相似文献

高空间分辨率影像与多光谱影像融合,为影像处理提供了更加丰富的资源,有利于进行影像的分析和制图。本文以庐山及其周边区域的2009年5月11日Landsat ETM+与2009年5月6日SPOT 5影像数据为例,对典型的融合方法进行了对比评价。融合方法包括加权融合法,IHS变换,改进的IHS变换,高频调制融合法(频域采用Butterworth滤波器,指数滤波器),HSV变换,Brovey变换,CN变换,PC变换,Gram-Schmidt变换11种方法。评价指标为相关系数、信息熵、标准差、平均梯度、相对偏差、标准偏差。结果表明,不同的融合结果突出的侧重点不同。加权融合法、Gram-Schmidt变换,PC变换方法突出了影像的信息量丰富度、清晰度,提高空间分辨率能力。CN波谱锐化,改进的IHS变换,BW0高频调制融合,指数高频调制融合方法光谱保真度较好。改进的IHS变换,BW0高频调制融合,CN波谱锐化,指数高频调制融合法在空间分辨率及光谱保真度、清晰度、信息丰富度方面的能力较均衡。  相似文献

利用我国第一颗电磁监测试验卫星张衡一号电场探测仪(EFD)载荷记录到的ULF/ELF频段电场功率谱密度(PSD)数据,限制Dst≥-30 nT和Kp<3排除空间磁环境扰动后,分4个频段对2020年唐山古冶MS5.1地震和2019年吉林松原MS5.1地震前后空间电场时空演化特征进行研究。结果发现,2020年唐山古冶MS5.1地震4个频段扰动幅度均显示出震前先抬升至最高点超过2倍均方差,而后在下降过程中发震,震后恢复的规律,且第2频段异常尤为明显;4个频段扰动幅度时间序列特征相似,且震前均超过2倍均方差。2019年吉林松原MS5.1地震不同频段的扰动幅度时间序列特征不同,仅有第2频段超过2倍均方差。2次地震均在第2频段(371~879 Hz)出现震前异常扰动,认为该频段是地震异常提取的优势频段。  相似文献

Nonlinear development of salinity perturbations in the Atlantic thermohaline circulation (THC) is investigated with a three-dimensional ocean circulation model, using the conditional nonlinear optimal perturbation method. The results show two types of optimal initial perturbations of sea surface salinity, one associated with freshwater and the other with salinity. Both types of perturbations excite decadal variability of the THC. Under the same amplitude of initial perturbation, the decadal variation induced by the freshwater perturbation is much stronger than that by the salinity perturbation, suggesting that the THC is more sensitive to freshwater than salinity perturbation. As the amplitude of initial perturbation increases, the decadal variations become stronger for both perturbations. For salinity perturbations, recovery time of the THC to return to steady state gradually saturates with increasing amplitude, whereas this recovery time increases remarkably for freshwater perturbations. A nonlinear (advective) feedback between density and velocity anomalies is proposed to explain these characteristics of decadal variability excitation. The results are consistent with previous ones from simple box models, and highlight the importance of nonlinear feedback in decadal THC variability.  相似文献

The formation and evolution of the tidal front in the western Yellow Sea are studied by means of a two-dimensional model in which wind and tide mixing, sun radiation and wind stress, and realistic topography are incorporated. In this numerical study, the schemes employed are stable for time step t= 900 s, so the model can be run for 4 months to simulate the front evolution. The authors examined the effects of mixing and atmospheric forcing on the tidal front under conditions of : mixing and solar heating without wind stress on the sea surface; mixing, solar heating and 50 hours of wind stress; mixing, solar heating and long time periodical wind stress, Results show that (1) the tidal front forms at the beginning of May, and strengthens with the increasing of heat input, (2) the temperature structure in the shallow well-mixed water is dominated by mixing, while in the front and deeper stratified regions, it is controlled by the joint effects of (mainly) mixing and advection, 0) the currents and front all  相似文献

Based on a barotropic inflow-outflow model,we examine the formation of the Kuroshio large meander(LM) using conditional nonlinear optimal perturbation(CNOP) method.Both linear and nonlinear evolutions of such perturbations obtained by this method are investigated.The results show that the nonlinear evolution can result in the Kuroshio transition from a straight to LM path,whereas the linear evolution cannot.This implies that nonlinearity plays an important role in the formation of the Kuroshio LM path.The nonlinearity exists as advection in the evolution equations of the perturbation derived from the barotropic inflow-outflow model,namely the nonlinear advection of the perturbation by the perturbation(NAPP).By examining the role of this nonlinearity,we find that the NAPP tends to move the cyclonic eddy induced by the CNOP-type perturbation westward.Together with the beta effect,this offsets part of the eastward advection caused by the interaction between the perturbation and the background flow.Hence,the eastward movement of the cyclonic eddy is significantly weakened,effectively causing the eddy to develop.The sufficient evolution of this cyclonic eddy leads to the formation of the Kuroshio LM.  相似文献

研究山东内陆地区2008年以来1级以上小震的月相调制效应,并结合地震b值变化进行分析。结果表明,2020-02-18长清M4.1地震前该区存在低b值、高调制比异常,计算综合节面解P轴方位偏转发现,其与小震b值的低值变化时段非常一致。研究区6次4 级以上地震前,有4次出现异常,调制比≥0.33;而2011年和2016年2次范县地震前未出现异常,可能与范县小震集中区受采油作用影响有关。  相似文献

This study examines the modulation of tropical cyclogenesis over the South China Sea(SCS) by the El Nio-Southern Oscillation(ENSO) Modoki during the boreal summer. Results reveal that there were more tropical cyclones(TCs) formed over the SCS during central Pacific warming years and less TC frequency during central Pacific cooling years. How different environmental factors(including low-level relative vorticity, mid-level relative humidity, vertical wind shear, and potential intensity) contribute to this influence is investigated, using a genesis potential(GP) index developed by Emanuel and Nolan. Composite anomalies of the GP index are produced for central Pacific warming and cooling years separately, which could account for the changes of TC frequency over the SCS in different ENSO Modoki phases. The degree of contribution by each factor is determined quantitatively by producing composites of modified indices in which only one of the contributing factors varies, with the others set to climatology. The results suggest that the vertical wind shear and low-level relative vorticity, which are associated with the ENSO Modoki-induced anomalous circulations in Matsuno-Gill patterns, make the largest contributions to the ENSO Modoki modulation of tropical cyclogenesis over the SCS as implied by the GP index. These results highlight the important roles of dynamic factors in the modulation of TC frequency over the SCS by the ENSO Modoki during the boreal summer.  相似文献

研究伪随机脉冲在吸收低轨卫星和4大导航系统卫星未模型化摄动力方面的有效性,分析其对拟合轨道精度的影响。结果表明,伪随机脉冲能够有效吸收低轨卫星及GNSS卫星未模型化的摄动力。对于低轨卫星,伪随机脉冲能够有效模拟大气阻力对轨道的影响,达到mm级拟合精度;对于GNSS卫星,伪随机脉冲能够在一定程度上吸收太阳光压摄动,尤其是与ECOM太阳光压模型联合使用,能够充分吸收ECOM模型未能吸收的摄动力,只需每天设置一组伪随机脉冲参数,其拟合精度能达到mm级。  相似文献

Its mechanism is: (1) thrust of more people and less land in the eastern region of China; (2) attraction of dual economy in the western region of China; (3) national policy on preferential wages and grains for the western region. Population movement has an important effect on the change of regional division pattern in China: by the medium of the moving people, there forms another regional division pattern, i.e. rural industry system based on rural town industry; (2) there forms another profit mechanism compensated from the western region to the eastern region. It not only wins more profit in the eastern region, but also changes dual economy in the western region.
