The platinum-group elements (PGE) and gold have been determined in twenty international rock reference materials by inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) after pre-concentration by a nickel sulfide fire assay. It was possible to achieve determination limits for a 50 g sample that ranged from 1 pg g-1 (Rh) to 23 pg g-1 (Au). Compared to published certified and recommended values for rock reference materials, the trueness of the method was found to be good. However, in some cases we observed large deviations for all elements in the sub 10 ng g-1 range within individual reference sample splits. Our results show that the PGE and Au are inhomogeneously distributed in the reference materials analysed here, where they are present in low concentrations, using 50 g test portions.  相似文献

标准物质参考值的准确性在测试仪器校准、分析数据质量监控以及方法评价等方面具有非常重要的作用.为了检验国家地质标准物质参考值的准确性,本文应用高温高压密闭溶样-电感耦合等离子体质谱法分析了国家地质标准物质的18种岩石(GBW 07103 ~ GBW 07125)、19种沉积物(GBW 07301 ~ GBW 07318)和19种土壤(GBW 07401 ~ GBW 07430)中36种痕量与稀土元素.结果表明,除个别标准样品中的几个元素(Ni、Cr、Pb、Co、Cu、Sc、Yb、Lu)外,其余国家标准物质中36种元素测定结果的相对标准偏差均小于10%;绝大部分元素测定值的相对误差小于10%,测定值与参考值能较好地吻合.将误差较大元素的测定值与其他实验室的测定值以及文献报道值进行了比较,指出已有的参考值需要修正;针对部分沉积物和土壤中的元素未提供参考值,如GBW 07306的Ni、GBW 07313的Be、Hf、Ta,GBW 07314的Li、Be,GBW 07409、GBW 07410和GBW0741 1的Hf、Ta,GBW 07426的Gd、Ta,本文给出了相应的参考值.  相似文献

The concentrations of 27 trace elements in the basalt BIR-1, as well as in other mafic rock reference materials, have been determined by ICP-MS, using pure elemental solutions for external calibration and standard additions. Concentrations of rare earth elements in BIR-1 for the new ICP-MS data, agree with compiled values, and previous ID-SSMS results, whereas ICP-MS data on HFSE's are systematically higher by about 40% to 70% than ID-SSMS, but are consistent with data generated at other ICP-MS laboratories.  相似文献

A large number of certified and other reference samples are available for use in analytical geochemistry. Certified materials are preferred, but of much more limited availability than other reference samples for most geochemical applications. The availability of rock, sediment, soil, water, and plant reference samples is outlined; ore and mineral separate reference samples are not included in the discussion. The preparation of these materials, including the establishment of certified or recommended concentrations, is then reviewed. It is shown that comparable quality can be achieved for both certified and recommended concentrations, though it has not always been achieved in the past. Finally, the most appropriate ways to use reference samples in quality control and instrumental calibration are discussed.  相似文献

砷元素的不同形态对人体有不同的毒性,无机砷的毒性最大,有机砷毒性较小,准确测定水体中尤其是地下水中砷形态的含量对于人体健康和环境保护有重要意义。但目前国内外尚缺乏地下水中砷形态的标准物质。文章研制了5个地下水砷形态标准物质,候选物样品采自山西和内蒙古高砷地区,在样品的采集和制备过程中使用冷冻干燥法和加保护剂两种方法保证砷形态稳定,定值参数为砷全量、As(Ⅲ)、As(Ⅴ),定值方法采用氢化物发生-原子荧光光谱法、电感耦合等离子体光谱法、电感耦合等离子体质谱法、高效液相色谱-电感耦合等离子体质谱法。经检验,制备的砷形态标准物质具有良好的均匀性和稳定性。该系列标准物质研制中首次应用冷冻干燥技术,样品保存问题得到了很好的解决,采用多家实验室协作定值,测试方法准确、可靠,标准值和不确定度合理,填补了国内外砷形态标准物质研制的空白。  相似文献

This contribution presents a review of the recent developments in laser ablation inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry. We describe the important developments which have occurred in the laser systems used, leading to a spatial resolution of around 20 (im, and give an overview of the major instrument developments which have affected the geological applications of laser ablation ICP-MS. We describe the calibration of laser ablation for the analysis of trace elements in two different matrices: volcanic glass shards and sulfide minerals. We show how single glass shards can be analysed using the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) glass certified reference materials for calibration and demonstrate the effect of using single spot analyses compared to rastering of the calibration sample. We show the importance of inter-shard variation and demonstrate that averaged single shard analyses produce data which compare well with bulk analyses. The calibration of the laser system for sulfide mineral analysis is discussed and two different strategies are proposed, one using spiked pressed powder pellets of sulfides and the other metal reference materials. We present conclusions and recommendations for the calibration of laser ablation ICP-MS instruments.  相似文献

Wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (WD-XRF) is widely used for the analysis of soils and sediments using well characterised procedures. However, difficulties can occur with samples such as unknowns containing small amounts of ore materials and samples collected from contaminated sites where trace elemental concentrations can exceed the concentration range for routine analysis. We studied the performance of a commercially available method, based on fundamental parameters (FP) to correct matrix effects. The spectrometer was originally calibrated with elemental or simple compound calibrants. Samples were analysed as pressed powder pellets. Eighteen sediment and soil reference materials, three of them with certified values for some of their constituents, were used to evaluate accuracy, by comparing results with recommended values and their standard deviations (RV ± 2s) or certified values and their confidence intervals (CV ± Cl). When results fell systematically outside these intervals, calibrations were refined with geochemical reference materials. The best agreement of results with recommended and certified values was obtained when the contents of H2O and C in each sample were included as matrix constituents during calculations. The detection limits of trace elements tended to be relatively high, because the measuring conditions employed were not maximised for sensitivity. The main advantage of the method tested was that it enabled the analysis of samples with high concentrations of trace elements and the determination of elements such as F, Bi, Sb and W, which are not commonly included in quantitative XRF analysis of geological samples.  相似文献

激光剥蚀电感耦合等离子体质谱(LA-ICP-MS)是目前地球科学分析领域的重要技术手段,元素微区分析标准物质研制是该分析技术发展的重要方向。本文对当前LA-ICP-MS元素微区分析标准物质的种类、元素分布以及应用上的优缺点和标准物质的制备方法进行了评述。现有的有证标准物质数量不多、种类不齐全,部分元素浓度较低,定值不确定度较大,应用上受到较大的局限性;研制标准也不成熟,均匀性检验方面尚未有统一的方法。本文参照岩石粉末标准物质均匀性检验方法提出了两步均匀性检验法,同时指出在标准物质种类方面,铂族元素及Au元素浓度适当、Pb-S等不同硫化物基体标准物质,以及化学成分不同的碳酸岩和磷酸岩基体标准物质是当前的迫切需求;在标准物质研制技术方面,纳米岩石粉末压片技术的研发、原位微区分析标准物质(固体)均匀性检验判别标准研究是亟待解决的问题。  相似文献

随着我国对生态文明建设的重视,自然资源综合调查势在必行,对生物标准物质亦提出了新的需求。当前相关调研工作已经大面积开展,自然资源综合调查、农产品与食品安全评价都需要对生物样品元素组成进行准确测试,需要以生物标准物质作为生物成分测试量值比对和溯源的基础,因此对生物基体标准物质的需求量大幅增加。大米作为主要粮食之一,其食品安全日益受到重视,对大米中的化学成分进行准确的分析测试具有重要的现实意义,因而对大米标准物质的需求量尤为突出,但目前大米成分分析标准物质已供不应求。本文严格按照《标准物质定值的通用原则及统计学原理》(JJF 1343—2012)和《地质分析标准物质的研制》(JJF 1646—2017)等相关规范要求,开展了GBW10010a大米成分分析标准物质的复(研)制工作,包括样品采集、加工制备、均匀性检验、稳定性检验、多家实验室协作定值测试及不确定度评定等关键环节。结果表明:本次复(研)制的大米标准物质定值成分多样、量值准确可靠,符合国家一级标准物质的要求。GBW10010a共定值54项主微量元素,包括Ag、Al、As、B、Ba、Be、Bi、Ca、Cd、Ce、Co、Cr、Cs、Cu、Dy、Er、Eu、Fe、Gd、Ge、Hg、Ho、K、La、Li、Ho、Mg、Mn、Mo、N、Na、Nb、Nd、Ni、P、Pb、Pr、Rb、S、Sb、Sc、Se、Si、Sm、Sr、Tb、Th、Tl、Tm、U、V、Y、Yb、Zn,其中的39项元素给出了标准值及不确定度,包括Ag、Al、As、B、Ba、Ca、Cd、Ce、Co、Cs、Cu、Dy、Er、Fe、Hg、K、Li、Mg、Mn、Mo、N、Na、Nd、Ni、P、Pb、Pr、Rb、S、Sb、Se、Si、Sm、Sr、Tb、Tl、Y、Yb、Zn;15项元素提供参考值,包括Be、Bi、Cr、Eu、Gd、Ge、Ho、Ho、La、Nb、Sc、Th、Tm、U、V。与原有GBW10010大米标准物质相比较,GBW10010a中As、Cd、Co、Cr、Cu、Hg、Mn、Mo、Ni、Zn等重金属元素含量显著下降,其中Cd、Cu、Zn降幅较大,分别下降约39%、43%、38.7%,一定程度上反映了农田生态环境的改善。本批标准物质定值元素总数量增加了6项,新增定值元素Ag、Nb(Nb给出参考值),并且各项元素不确定度范围整体上有所缩小,如Al、Cd、Cu、Fe、K、Mg、Mo、Na、P、Pb、Se、Zn等对生物易有影响的重要元素,表明了地质分析测试方法技术的进步及定值水平的提高。本批标准物质定值元素涵盖了具有生物效应的大部分主微量元素,适用于农业生态环境地球化学调查与评价、生物样品测试、农产品质量与食品安全评价样品测试时的分析仪器校正、分析方法评价和分析质量监控等多个领域。  相似文献

Recent developments from 2008 to 2009 in ICP-MS engineering, methods and applications are reviewed here. Of particular emphasis are advances in: (a) maximising sensitivity and reducing elemental/isotopic fractionation during laser ablation processing; (b) developing new analytical techniques to measure major, minor and trace element abundances without depending on matrix-matched calibrating materials, pre-determined internal standard concentrations and/or multiple analytical methods; (c) applying in situ and solution-based ICP-MS techniques to the analysis of forensic materials for criminal and/or nuclear investigations; and (d) improving precision and limits of detection of laser ablation multi-collector ICP-MS measurements of (ultra) trace elemental and isotopic abundances.  相似文献

A wavelength‐dispersive X‐ray fluorescence (WD‐XRF) calibration is developed for small powdered samples (300mg) with the purpose of analyzing ceramic artifacts that might be available only in limited quantity. This is compared to a conventional calibration using a larger sample mass (2g). The comparison of elemental intensities obtained in both calibrations shows that the decrease in analyzed sample mass results in a linear decrease in measured intensity for the analyzed elements. This indicates that the small‐ and large‐sample calibrations are comparable. Moreover, the elemental contents of four ceramic sherds and two potential clay sources fall well within the range of the certified reference materials that are the basis of the calibration curves. The advantage with the analytical method presented here is that it is rapid and requires only a small amount of sample that can easily be re‐used for further analyses. A comparison is made of elemental analyses of sediment samples (lake bottom sediments and sediments from the petroliferous Bazhenovka Formation) by five competitive methods (synchrotron radiation X-ray fluorescence (SR-XRF), INAA, ICP-MS, AAS and traditional XRF). The object of this study was to identify the most suitable analytical techniques for applications in sedimentary geochemistry. Advantages and shortcomings of the five techniques were considered with respect to applications related to studies of palaeo-climate changes recorded in sedimentary cores from Lake Baikal and the geochemical stratigraphy of the Bazhenovka Formation, which is rich in organic material. We have concluded that SR-XRF was the best technique for producing extensive analytical data series, from the point of view of its speed, ease of application, cost, non-destructive nature and sensitivity, which allowed for the simultaneous determination of more than twenty elements of geochemical interest in small samples of sediments. An additional benefit of the method was demonstrated when used for the independent certification of geological reference materials. International reference samples BIL-1 and SDO-1 were certified by means of this method without use of reference materials. Analyses were based on the physics of the theory of energy transport.  相似文献

National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) silicate glass SRM 610 is widely used as a certified reference material for various micro-analytical techniques such as SIMS or laser ablation ICP-MS. SRM 610 has been nominally doped with sixty one trace elements at the 500 μg g−1 level, but certified concentration data exist for only a few of these elements. This study reports concentration data for fifty nine trace elements obtained by ICP-MS, SSMS, LIMS, TIMS, INAA, AAS, and PIXE analyses of two different SRM 610 wafers. Most elements fall within a 10% band around a median value of about 440 μg g−1. The REE concentrations are shown to be constant to 3% (1 σ), thus emphasizing the value of SRM 610 as a reference material for REE analyses.
Comparison of our values with published data suggests that different SRM 610 wafers are, within errors, chemically identical for most elements. Exceptions to this general rule appear to be restricted to elements which were partly lost during the production of the glass, e.g. Ag and Br. On the basis of six independent determinations of Rb concentrations, which are systematically lower by a few percent than the reported NIST value, we argue that the certified Rb concentration may not be representative for all distributed SRM 610 wafers.  相似文献

Three new certified reference materials (CRM), certified for the platinum-group elements (PGE), GPt-8, GPt-9 and GPt-10 were developed based on the previous CRMs IGGE GPt-1 to GPt-7. The PGE concentration of GPt-8 is about 1 ng g-1. GPt-9 and GPt-10 are ore samples with PGE concentrations of more than 1 μg g-1. A multi-laboratory collaborative analysis scheme was adopted in the certification procedure, in which nine highly-experienced institutes and laboratories participated. The samples were analysed for the six platinum-group elements by nickel sulfide mini fire assay, with Te coprecipitation, and were determined by ICP-MS. Osmium was determined by isotope dilution.  相似文献

Laser ablation ICP-MS represents a promising new development for the acquisition of elemental and isotopic images from a variety of different materials. Compared to existing methods for imaging, it offers relatively rapid throughput, very wide dynamic range, a relatively clean mass spectrum, utility at a variety of scales (from μm to cm) and multi-element/isotopic capability. Although developing rapidly in the biological sciences, the method has not yet seen widespread application to geological materials. This contribution documents some preliminary experiments aimed at understanding the fundamental aspects of elemental and isotopic image acquisition using laser ablation ICP-MS. In particular, we note that ablation cell designs must be optimised to promote rapid system response, in contrast to the signal-smoothing that is often preferred for simple spot analyses. Furthermore, experimental parameters must be carefully evaluated on a system-by-system basis to avoid the blurring effects of re-sampling phenomena. With careful attention to these details, and development of appropriate data processing software, laser ablation ICP-MS imaging has much to offer workers in the Earth and environmental sciences.  相似文献

标准物质作为地质分析的计量标准,在分析质量监控、仪器校准、方法评价和仲裁分析中发挥着重要作用。铂族元素分析一直是地质材料分析中最棘手的任务之一,铂族元素标准物质研制困难,数量少,严重影响了对铂族元素分析方法的评价和分析数据的质量监控,成为铂族金属矿产资源勘查、评价和相关研究工作的瓶颈。收集了中国及国际上现有的34个铂族元素标准物质和52个其他地球化学标准物质中的101个铂族元素定值数据。为便于使用也收集了这些标准物质中其他元素的含量信息,给出了铂族各元素按含量大小排列的信息简表以方便选择。充分利用这些标准物质对促进铂族元素分析方法研究,保证铂族元素分析数据质量,提高中国和世界铂族金属矿产资源勘查、评价及研究水平具有重要意义。  相似文献
