A multi-event and multi-station inverse method is presented in the paper to simultaneously estimate the seismic moments (M 0) and source corner frequencies (f c) of several Jiashi (Xinjiang, China) earthquakes, as well as the apparent Lg Q models for the paths from Jiashi to eight seismic stations (WMQ, AAK, TLG, MAKZ, KUR, VOS, ZRN and CHK) in Central Asia. The resultant seismic moments correlate well with the M 0 values obtained by Harvard University using the centroid moment tensor (CMT) inversion and the surface-wave magnitudes as well. After the correction by a typical value of average radiation coefficient for regional SV waves, the M 0 values from Lg spectral inversion are still close to the corresponding values obtained from CMT inversion. The obtained apparent Q 0Lg values (Lg Q at 1 Hz) are consistent with the tectonic features of corresponding propagation paths. The Q 0Lg values are 351±87, 349±86 and 300±27 for the paths from Jiashi to AAK, TLG and MAKZ, respectively. They are smaller than Q 0Lg values for the paths to KUR, VOS, ZRN and CHK, which are 553±72, 569±58, 550±57 and 603±65, respectively. These results agree with the condition that the paths to AAK, TLG and MAKZ mainly propagate through the mountainous Tianshan area where relatively strong seismic activities and large variations of topography are exhibited, while the paths to KUR, VOS, ZRN and CHK mainly propagate through the stable area of Kazak platform. The Q 0Lg value for the path to WMQ is 462±56. This is also in agreement with the condition that the path to WMQ is basically along the border area between Tianshan Mountain and Tarim Basin, and along this path the variations of topography and crustal thickness are moderate in comparison with that along the path to MAKZ. 在台网比较稀疏的情况下,台站走时标定是提高低震级事件定位、识别能力的重要手段.为了提高稀疏台网的定位精度,首先利用标定事件和IASPEI1991走时表以及中国大陆走时表,计算了初至P波和Lg波到AAK,MAKZ,NIL,TLG以及WMQ等5个台站的走时残差;接着,采用非平稳贝叶斯克里金方法和走时残差数据构造上述台站的走时校正曲面;最后,通过加入和不加入走时校正定位一系列位置准确的发生在新疆地区的地震事件评估克里金走时校正的有效性.结果表明,克里金走时校正能够较大地提高稀疏台网的定位精度,同时有效地缩小误差椭圆的面积.   相似文献

利用1989~1998年间发生在中国华北地区ML≥3.0级的地震事件,华北遥测台网以及数字化台网记录到的信噪比较高的Lg尾波时间序列,经过滤波、消除背景噪声等预处理,采用单台记录叠加频谱比法,得到传播路径上Lg尾波Q0(Q=Q0fη, Q0是1Hz的Q值,η是Q值与频率相关系数),进而获得该地区Q0和η的空间分布. 测量结果表明,华北地区地壳Lg尾波Q0值分布存在显著的横向不均匀性,这种不均匀性与该地区地壳的速度分布基本一致,表现为与该地区地表地质特征明显的一致性,即传播路径位于太行山隆起和燕山隆起区为高Q0值分布;传播路径位于冀中坳陷和黄骅坳陷等平原区表现为低Q0值;传播路径位于隆起区和坳陷区二者之间,其Q0值也介于二者之间,说明华北地区的地壳结构没有很大的阶跃式变化而使波导遭到破坏,Lg尾波Q0值基本上反映了地壳内介质滞弹性的固有衰减.  相似文献

将单台记录叠加频谱比法(简称SSR法)应用于震中距小于500km的区域地震Lg尾波为lHz下的值,n是与频率f有关的指数)的提取之中·为了检验方法的稳定性和可靠性,我们选用两组发生在不同地区的地震记录.一组是1989-10-18大同主震(ML=5.9)的15个余震,北京遥测地震台网记录到的信噪比较高的Lg尾波序列。另一组是秦岭造山带数字流动地震观测台网记录到的1995年甘肃平凉两次地震信噪比较高的Lg尾波序列.每一组地震的震源参数基本相同,即它们到某一特定台站的路径几乎相同,得到的 可以认为是不受震源影响的地震一台站路径上的平均衰减效应·两区域 的测量结果表明:(1)尽管两个地震观测台网所用观测仪器不同,每个台站的观测条件不同,所记录的地震也不尽相同,但对Q0和,的拟合结果线性程度都比较高,说明SSR法是稳定的;(2)同一震群的不同地震到某一特定台站测得的结果基本一致,即Q0值及其平均值大都在其标准差范围之内,说明SSR法是可靠的。(3)对同一地震不同方位各台站的Lg尾波测量结果可以看出,穿过不同构造区的Q0值存在明显差...  相似文献

基于频率-波数域算法的理论地震波形图方法, 可以数值模拟频率达到10 Hz、 震中距达1000 km的区域理论地震波形图. 该算法适用于计算大量分层地壳结构中激发的导波Lg波. 本文在前苏联东哈萨克斯坦地下核试验场至我国乌鲁木齐台站间的地球介质速度模型中, 引入速度梯度结构、 速度扰动分布的薄叠加层结构、 降低Q值结构以及速度扰动与Q值变化的综合结构来模拟实际地壳波导结构, 较好地模拟出东哈萨克斯坦地下核爆炸地震在乌鲁木齐台站记录的宽频带地震波形图, 模拟出完整的Lg波序列, 该序列符合Lg波能量分布特征, 且能够解释Lg波波尾的特征. 结果表明, Lg波的形状和峰值结构均依赖于地壳的不同波导结构.   相似文献

An inversion of site response and Lg attenuation using Lg waveform   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Based on spectral ratio method, a joint inversion method was used to obtain parameters of Lg wave attenuation and site response. The inversion method allows simple and direct (two-parameter) determination of Lg wave attenua- tion and site response from sparse spectral data, which are not affected by radiation pattern factor and different response of same instrument after geometrical spreading. The method was used successfully for estimating site re- sponse of stations of Zhejiang Seismic Network and measuring Lg wave attenuation. The study is based on 20 earth- quakes occurred in northeast of Taiwan with magnitude MS5.0~6.7 and 960 seismic wave records from 16 stations in Zhejiang area from 2002 to 2005. The parameters of site response and Lg attenuation were calculated with a fre- quency interval of 0.2 Hz in the range of 0.5 Hz to 10 Hz. Lg wave attenuation coefficient corresponding to U-D, E-W and N-S components are γ ( f )=0.00175 f 0.43485, γ ( f )=0.00145f 0.48467 and γ ( f )=0.0021f 0.41241, respectively. It is found that the site response is component-independent. It is also found that the site response of QIY station is significant above the frequency of 1.5 Hz, and that the site response of NIB station is low for most frequency  相似文献

收集了云南省及周边121个固定台站于2014年5月—2019年5月记录到的470次M≥4.0宽频带地震记录,利用反双台法处理了6 976条垂直向波形数据,通过LSQR方法反演得到了云南地区的空间分辨率小于100 km的1 Hz下Lg波衰减成像。反演结果表明,云南地区地壳Lg波的Q0值介于60—300,整体为低Q0背景,横向不均匀性变化显著。云南地区低Q0值的分布特点,反映了Lg波在云南地区衰减强烈。红河断裂西侧Q0值较低,在50—160之间,东侧Q0值较高,在120—200之间,分布特征与沉积层厚度分布一致,松散的沉积层可能是造成东侧地区Lg波高衰减的主要原因。云南地区地壳Lg波Q0值呈现出了与地表热流值分布相似的差异化分布特征,这可能与频繁的地震、长期强烈的构造运动以及深部物质随火山活动上涌有关。   相似文献

针对中国的乌鲁木齐台(WMQ)和哈萨克斯坦的马坎奇台(MAK),采用贝叶斯克里金技术建立了新疆及附近地区地震事件的震相幅值比的校正曲面,并分析了校正曲面与地震波传播路径的关系,以及校正曲面对于改善震相幅值比判据识别效果的有效性.分析结果表明,建立的校正曲面基本合理,结合传播路径差异和地震波传播规律,能够较好地解释校正曲面的起伏特征. 而且,在传播路径差异较大,使得震相幅值比经震中距校正后离散度仍然较高的情况下,利用校正曲面修正震相幅值比,可以进一步降低其离散度,从而改善判据的识别效果.经校正曲面修正后,对天然地震的误识率由16.3%下降为5.2%.   相似文献

We estimate Lg wave attenuation using local and regional seismic phases in the Isparta Angle and the Anatolian Plateau (Turkey). The Isparta Angle (IA) is a tectonically active zone forming the boundary between the African Plate and the Anatolian Plateau, and is currently undergoing N–S extensional deformation. The Anatolian Plateau contains many intra-continental faults including the North Anatolian Fault Zone and the East Anatolian Fault Zone as well as the Menderes Massif. A large waveform data set was compiled from a variety of local and regional seismic networks including 121 digital seismic stations (broad-band and short period) between 1999 and 2008 spanning the IA, the Anatolian Plateau and Azerbaijan. The data set was used to determine the nature of Lg wave propagation and characterize the nature of seismic attenuation within the crust of these regions. Lg waveforms were used to calculate the frequency-dependent Lg-Q o and Lg- $ \eta $ . A wide range of Lg-Q o values was obtained between ~52 ± 6 and 524 ± 227. Low Lg-Q o values (~90–155) are calculated towards the north of IA, Iskenderun Gulf and its vicinity, Bingöl-Karl?ova, Izmit and its vicinity. Lg-Q o values are especially low (<90) along the Menderes Massif and the Aksehir-Simav Fault Zones. This may be due to intrinsic attenuation of Lg associated with the partially molten crust and young volcanism. The high Lg-Q o values (~350) are probably caused by the crust not being subject to large amounts of extensional deformation like the Antalya Gulf and apparently being thick enough to support Lg propagation. Relatively higher values along the border of this subduction zone and plate boundary might be related to the Taurus Mountain belts and Bitlis-Zagros Suture Zone. The lateral frequency dependency Lg- $ \eta $ is also consistent with high tectonic activity in this region.  相似文献

伽师震区位于天山褶皱、帕米尔构造弧与塔里木块体三个构造单元的交接地带,近年来该区发生了一系列的强震活动.为进一步获得该震区详细的地壳速度结构,本文利用人工爆破和天然地震资料联合反演的方法,对1997年新疆伽师震区布设的三维人工地震透射台阵和流动地震台网的资料进行处理,重建了台阵下方上地壳三维速度扰动图像,并结合地震活动分布,对伽师强震群的地震成因作出进一步分析.结果表明研究区上地壳速度结构在纵向和横向上具有明显的非均匀性,随着深度的逐渐加深,震区下方以萨如锡为中心的低速异常体逐步被高速异常体所替代.自12 km深度开始,在与强震群震中相应的位置上,明显出现沿北北西向的高P波速度异常体,在其周围为相对低速分布,呈现出低速条带环绕高速条带的分布格局,VP/VS在相同的位置上也表现为高值分布.这种结构上的差异可能与伽师强震群发生有密切关系.16 km深度的P波速度层析图表明,伽师强震群发生在地壳相对高速扰动区内或是高速扰动向低速扰动过渡的边缘,壳内高速体的存在为强震的孕育和发生提供了重要基础.  相似文献

Correction maps of P/S amplitude ratios for seismic events distributed in Xinjiang, China and its adjacent areas were established using a Bayesian Kriging method for the two seismic stations WMQ and MAK. The relationship between correction maps and variations of along-path features was analyzed and the validity of applying the cor- rection maps to improve performances of P/S discriminants for seismic discrimination was investigated. Results show that obtained correction maps can generally reflect event-station path effects upon corresponding P/S dis- criminants; and the correction of these effects could further reduce scatters of distance-corrected P/S measurements within earthquake and explosion populations as well as improve their discriminating performances if path effects are a significant factor of such scatters. For example, as corresponding Kriging correction map was applied, the misidentification rate of earthquakes by Pn(2~4 Hz)/Lg(2~4 Hz) at MAK was reduced from 16.3% to 5.2%.  相似文献

The effects of variations in crustal and basin thicknesses on the efficiency of Lg propagation in Central Asia are investigated by comparing the predictions of ray theoretical modeling of Lg as multiple, critically reflected, SmS rays with observations at the KNET, CNET, and ILPA arrays. Ray modeling predicts that strong spatial gradients in crustal thickness within 10 to 50 km of either the source or receiver can affect Lg efficiency over paths exceeding 500 km. Variations in the efficiency of Lg propagation to KNET, including instances of strong variations across the aperture of the array, are consistent with predicted blockage of SmS by high slopes of Moho topography associated with the Hindu Kush and Pamir mountains. At CNET and ILPA the blocking effects of Moho slopes associated with the Caucausus and Zagros mountain belts and Black and Caspian Seas are accentuated by the effects of thick basins. Thick basins (greater than 2000 m) are found to have large effects on the efficiency of Lg propagation from shallow (1 km) crustal sources, blocking either a portion or all of the Lg phase along paths crossing these basins. The basin effects are strongly sensitive to source depth, nearly vanishing for sources 15 km and deeper.  相似文献

We invert for regional attenuation of the crustal phase Lg in the Yellow Sea/Korean Peninsula (YSKP) using three different amplitude attenuation tomography methods. The first method solves for source, site, and path attenuation. The second method uses a scaling relationship to set the initial source amplitude and interpret the source term after inversion. The third method implements a coda-derived source spectral correction. By comparing methods with slightly different assumptions we are able to make a more realistic assessment of the uncertainties in the resulting attenuation maps than is obtainable through formal error analysis alone. We compare the site, source and path-terms produced by each method and comment on attenuation, which correlates well with tectonic and topographic features in the region. Source terms correlate well with each other and with magnitude. Site terms are similar except for two stations that are located in a region that has the greatest difference in path term, which demonstrates the site/path trade-off. Another region of path term difference has the fewest crossing paths, where the tomography method employing the coda-derived spectral correction may perform more accurately since it is not as susceptible to the source/path trade-off. The Bohai Bay basin, an area of extension, is a region of high attenuation, and regions of low attenuation occur along topographic highs located in the Da-xin-an-ling and Changbai Mountains and Mount Taishan.  相似文献

利用1996年10月至2016年10月间发生在中国东北、朝鲜半岛和日本南部的113个壳内地震在602个宽频带地震台站观测到的波形资料,建立Lg波衰减成像数据集.根据22,551条垂直分量波形,计算Lg波振幅谱,提取单台、双台和双事件数据,采用区域Q值、震源函数和台基响应联合反演方法,建立中国东北和朝鲜半岛地区0.05~10.0 Hz的宽频带衰减模型.模型显示火山岩山脉地区如大兴安岭和长白山具有弱衰减特征,沉积盆地衰减相对较强,海水覆盖区域如渤海、黄海和日本海等衰减最强.日本海具有较薄的海洋地壳,对地壳Lg波传播有阻挡作用.通过较大地震事件的跨海记录调查Lg波的传播,强衰减特征最为显著.  相似文献

简要介绍2020年伽师M S6.4地震周围地质构造背景,研究分析了M S6.4地震前新疆地区和柯坪块体地震活动状态、区域地震活动图像特征。结果表明:①本次地震前1~2年和震前半年,新疆境内中强和中小地震呈现“平静—成组活跃”或显著增强特征;②本次地震发生在柯坪块体M S≥6.0地震平静近15年的背景下,震前区域地震活动存在时间渐进的中短期异常特征,即震前2年,5级以上地震活动呈现NE向有序条带分布;震前1年南天山西段小震群累积月频度呈现“加速”活动特征;震前半年震区附近4级地震条带形成共扼分布特征;震前3个月震区附近出现地震窗超限异常;震前2个月震区附近地区视应力呈现显著高值异常;③震前地震活动具有较好的“长、中、短”期异常配套出现的特征。  相似文献

We propose an optimized method to compute travel times for seismic inversion problems. It is a hybrid method combining several approaches to deal with travel time computation accuracy in unstructured meshes based on tetrahedral elementary cells. As in the linear travel time interpolation method, the proposed approach computes travel times using seismic ray paths. The method operates in two sequential steps: At a first stage, travel times are computed for all nodes of the mesh using a modified version of the shortest path method. The difference with the standard version is that additional secondary nodes (called tertiary nodes) are added temporarily around seismic sources in order to improve accuracy with a reasonable increase in computational cost. During the second step, the steepest travel time gradient method is used to trace back ray paths for each source–receiver pair. Travel times at each receiver are then recomputed using slowness values at the intersection points between the ray path and the traversed cells. A number of numerical tests with an array of different velocity models, mesh resolutions and mesh topologies have been carried out. These tests showed that an average relative error in the order of 0.1% can be achieved at a computational cost that is suitable for travel time inversion.  相似文献

—Broad band digital three-component data recorded at UNM, a GEOSCOPE station, were used to estimate Lg coda Q for 34 medium size (3.9 ≤m b ≤ 6.3) earthquakes with travel paths laying in different geological provinces of southern Mexico in an effort to establish the possible existence of geological structures acting as wave guides and/or travel paths of low attenuation between the Pacific coast and the Valley of Mexico. The stacked spectral ratio method proposed by XIE and NUTTLI (1988) was chosen for computing the coda Q. The variation range of Q 0 (Q at 1?Hz) and the frequency dependence parameter η estimates averaged on the frequency interval of 0.5 to 2?Hz for the regions and the three components considered are: i) Guerrero region 173 ≤ 0≤ 182 and 0.6 ≤ 0 ≤ 0.7, ii) Oaxaca region 183 ≤ 0 ≤ 198 and 0.6 ≤ 0 ≤ 0.8, iii) Michoacan-Jalisco region 187 ≤ 0 ≤ 204 and 0.7 ≤ 0 ≤ 0.8 and iv) eastern portion of the Transmexican Volcanic Belt (TMVB) 313 ≤Q 0≤ 335 and η = 0.9. ¶The results show a very high coda Q for the TMVB as compared to other regions of southern Mexico. This unexpected result is difficult to reconcile with the geophysical characteristics of the TMVB, e.g., low seismicity, high volcanic activity and high heat flow typical of a highly attenuating (low Q) region. Visual inspection of seismograms indicates that for earthquakes with seismic waves traveling along the TMVB, the amplitude decay of Lg coda is anomalously slow as compared to other earthquakes in southern Mexico. Thus, it seems that the high Q value found does not entirely reflect the attenuation characteristics of the TMVB but it is probably contaminated by a wave-guide effect. This phenomenon produces an enhancement in the time duration of the Lg wave trains travelling along this geological structure. This result is important to establish the role played by the transmission medium in the extremely long duration of ground motion observed during the September 19, 1985 Michoacan earthquake. ¶The overall spatial distribution of coda Q values indicates that events with focus in the Michoacan-Jalisco and Oaxaca regions yield slightly higher values than those from Guerrero. This feature is more pronounced for the horizontal component of coda Q. A slight dependence of average coda Q ?1 on earthquake focal depth is observed in the frequency range of 0.2 to 1.0?Hz approximately on the horizontal component. Deeper (h > 50?km) events yield lower values of Q ?1 than shallower events. For frequencies higher than 1.0?Hz no clear dependence of Q ?1 on focal depth is observed. However, due to the estimates uncertainties this result is not clearly established.  相似文献
