The Nobeyama Millimeter Array Survey for protoplanetary disks has been made for 19 protostellar IRAS sources in Taurus; 13 of them were optically invisible protostars and 6 were young T Tauri stars. We observed 98-GHz continuum and CS(J = 2 – 1) line emissions simultaneously with spatial resolutions of 2 . 8-8 . 8 (360-1,200 AU). The continuum emission was detected from 5 out of 6 T Tauri stars and 2 out of 13 protostar candidates: the emission was not spatially resolved and was consistent with being originated from compact circumstellar disks. Extended CS emission was detected around 2 T Tauri stars and 11 protostar candidates. There is a remarkable tendency for the detectability of the 98-GHz continuum emission to be small for protostar candidates. This tendency is explained if the mass of protoplanetary disks around protostars is not as large as that around T Tauri stars; the disk mass may increase with the increase of central stellar mass by dynamical accretion in the course of evolution from protostars to T Tauri stars.Paper presented at the Conference onPlanetary Systems: Formation, Evolution, and Detection held 7–10 December, 1992 at CalTech, Pasadena, California, U.S.A.  相似文献

Spectrographic observations of the flash spectrum were made by the Kwasan Observatory at the total solar eclipse on 7 March, 1970. The integrated intensities of Fexiv 5303, Fex 6374, and the continuum were measured on the spectrograms as a function of height above the Sun's limb. It was found that a large amount of emission in the coronal lines originates in the interspicular regions of the chromosphere. Analysis of the data yielded that the interspicular regions consist of coronal material of T e = 1.6 × 106–1.2 × 106 and log N e = 8.5–9.5, and that a decrease in T e and an increase in N e occur with decreasing height.  相似文献

An attempt is made to present all the relevant observations of our galactic centre and to explain them by means of a working scheme that involves a minimum number ofad hoc assumptions.In this scheme, the central engine is Sgr A*, a supermassive star of some 103 M and surface temperature 3.6×104 K in Keplerian rotation, fuelled by the strongly magnetized disk. It drives both a non-thermal (pair-plasma) wind and a thermal wind. Interactions with the central star cluster and with the circumnuclear disk give rise to the thermal vortex Sgr A West and to the non-thermal spill-over bubble Sgr A East. The relativistic pair plasma escapes supersonically through the galactic chimney into the galactic twin jets, as in Seyfert galaxies.  相似文献

The motion of dust structures in the circumnuclear region of comet Hale–Bopp is studied. About 270 envelope images were obtained with the AZT-8 reflector (D = 0.7 m, F = 28 m) and the Filin-3 image intensifier. We carried out our observations at the observational station of the Astronomical Observatory of Shevchenko Kiev State University in the village of Lesniki (near Kiev). The recording from the image-intensifier screen was made on Foto-100 film during 23 nights from March 24 to May 10, 1997. The circumnuclear region was imaged both in white light (without filters) and with IHW CO+ (ef = 426 nm), C3 (ef = 496 nm), C2 (ef = 514 nm), and RC (red continuum, ef = 684 nm) narrow-band interference filters. Based on our measurements of the radial expansion of dust structures, we determined the velocities, 0.61–1.99 km s–1; accelerations, from –18.3 × 10–3 to 4.0 × 10–3 m s–2; and rotation period of the cometary nucleus, 111.41h ± 0.05h.  相似文献

Observations of the white light corona were made on over 900 days during the years 1964–67 at heights between 1.125 and 2.0 R with the K-coronameter at Mount Haleakala and Mauna Loa, Hawaii. The brightness distribution of the minimum corona was elliptical with average equatorial intensities three times the polar. Coronal features of the new cycle at 1.125 R occurred predominantly in the sunspot zones at 25–30° latitude and in a high latitude zone which migrated toward the North pole before solar maximum. The brightness of the inner corona doubled over this period and a close association is found between the average corona and 10.7-cm solar radio flux. Electron densities in the equatorial regions were nearly twice those of Van de Hulst's model corona, in agreement with the results of recent eclipse observations.At Hawaii Institute of Geophysics.  相似文献

The Behlen observatory 0.76 m telescope CCD photometer is used to obtain 347 observations of the short period (P0d.4) eclipsing binary star V719 Her. The observations done withV andR bandpass filters were made on 6 nights in 1993. Previously published light elements and the present five timings of minimum provide a new epoch and a more accurate orbital period of 0.4009828 days. Our analyses show that the period of the system appears to decrease. We recommend future monitoring of the eclipse minima for this system. No published spectral classification for V719 Her exists. From the color,V-R=0.391, we estimate it to be about F5.The 1993 version of the Wilson Devinney model gave the photometric solutions. The adopted solution indicates that V719 Her is a W UMa type contact binary. The mass ratio,q=(m 2/m 1, where star 1 eclipse at the primary minimum)=0.296 suggests that V719 Her is a WUMa system with type-A (transit during primary eclipse) configuration. The secondary minimum shows a total eclipse. V719 Her with period less than 0.5 and spectral class F5, is probably a zero-age contact system. Since our photometric solution shows that the luminosity difference between the components is very large, we suspect that V719 Her is most likely a single line spectroscopic binary. We present the results of the photometric observations, in theUBVRJHKLMNQ system, of CH Cyg, made in the period 1978–1987. They have shown that from 1985 to 1987 dust condensed in its circumstellar envelope have taken place the condensation of the dust matter. In 1987 its mass and temperature were about 3×10–8 M and 800 K, respectively.  相似文献

We have detected 1.1 mm continuum emission from 24 of 53 Herbig Ae/Be stars surveyed with the JCMT. Survival analysis shows that 1.1 mm luminosity is correlated with bolometric luminosity and with IRAS 25µm luminosity. For those stars that were also detected at 0.45 or 0.8 mm we find a typical flux dependence of the form S #x03BD; 3, which is steeper than that of most classical T Tauri stars.  相似文献

We present two-dimensional observations of the quiet Sun at 73.8, 50.0, and 38.5 MHz obtained with the Clark Lake Radioheliograph during the sunspot minimum period of September 1986. The observed peak brightness temperatures during the entire period of sunspot minimum are found to be extremely low, lying in the range (0.6 × 105 K – 2.5 × 105 K). It is shown that these low values cannot be explained by the generally adopted models for N e and T e in a homogeneous corona. The effect of scattering by random density fluctuations is introduced in order to decrease the values of predicted T b . The value of peak T b is computed as a function of relative r.m.s. density fluctuations = <N e >/N e ; and it is found that should be in the range from 0.07 to 0.19, 0.1 to 0.25, and 0.15 to 0.35, respectively, at 38.5, 50.0, and 73.8 MHz, respectively, to explain the observed low brightness temperatures.On leave from Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore, India.  相似文献

Planetesimals orbiting a protostar in a circumstellar disk are affected by gravitational interaction among themselves and by gas drag force due to disk gas. Within the Kyoto model of planetesimal accretion, the migration rate is interpreted as the inverse of the planetary formation time scale. Here, we study time scales of gravitational interaction and gas drag force and their influence on planetesimal migration in detail. Evaluating observations of 86 T Tauri stars (Beckwithet al., 1990), we find the mean radial temperature profile of circumstellar disks. The disk mass is taken to be 0.01M in accordance with minimum mass models and observed T Tauri disks. The time scale of gravitational interaction between planetesimals is studied analogously to Chandrasekhar's stellar dynamics. Hence, Chandrasekhar's coefficient , defined as the fraction between the mean separation of planetesimals and the impact parameter, plays an important role in determining the migration rate. We find ln to lie between 5 and 10 within the protosolar disk. Our result is that, at the stage of disk evolution considered here, gas drag force affects the radial migration of planetesimals by a few orders of magnitude more than gravitational interaction.Paper presented at the Conference on Planetary Systems: Formation, Evolution, and Detection held 7–10 December, 1992 at CalTech, Pasadena, California, U.S.A.  相似文献

We give the results of photographic, photoelectric, and spectral observations of the flare star PP Ori. The 109 photographic observations used, which were obtained on the 40 Schmidt telescope of the Byurakan Observatory over a period of about 20 years, and four spectra obtained on the same telescope with a objective prism show no variation in brightness. Photoelectric observations in the UBVR bands using the 50cm and 60cm telescopes of the high-altitude Maidanak station of the Tashkent Astronomical Institute in 1987 and 1989 give grounds for suspecting a variation in brightness much larger than observational errors. Spectral observations of the star PP Ori made on the 2.6m telescope of the Byurakan Observatory show weak H emission. The results of all these observations show that PP Ori is an Orion variable of spectral class K7-M0 with absolute visual magnitude7 m 5–8 m 5.Translated fromAstrofizika, Vol. 38, No. 2, 1995.  相似文献

The mass ejection event on 17 January 1974 was a classsic spray associated with a flare from an over the limb region. The structure of the accompanying coronal transient was typical of well-observed mass ejections, with coronal loops and a forerunner racing ahead of the rising prominence. Observations in H, soft X-ray, white light and radio wavelengths allowed us to track both cool (T e104 K) and hot (T e>106 K) material from limb de-occultation to 6R . We determined the kinematics and thermodynamics of the internal material, and the overall mass and energy budget of the event. The majority of the mass and energy was linked with coronal material, but at least 20% of the ejected mass originated as near-surface prominence material. We conclude that the upper part of the prominence was being continuously heated to coronal temperatures as it rose through the corona. Above 2R nearly all of the material was completely ionized. The primary acceleration of the prominence occurred below 3.5 × 104 km with all of the material exhibiting constant velocity above 1.5R . We found evidence that a moving type IV burst, indicative of strong magnetic fields, was associated with the upper part of the prominence. Our observations suggest that both the cool and hot material were acted upon by a similar, continuous force(s) to great heights and over a long time interval. We find that the observations are most consistent with magnetic propulsion models of coronal transients.  相似文献

Simultaneous observations of a solar limb flare in the X-ray and ultraviolet regions of the spectrum are presented. Temporal and spectral X-ray observations were obtained for the 25–300 keV range while temporal, spectral, and spatial X-ray observations were obtained for the 30–0.3 keV range. The ultraviolet observations were images with a 10 spatial resolution in the lines of O v (T e 2.5 × 105 K) and Fe xxi (T e 1.1 × 107 K). The hard X-ray and O v data indicate that the impulsive phase began in the photosphere or chromosphere and continued for several minutes as material was ejected into the corona. Impulsive excitation was observed up to 30 000 km above the solar surface at specific points in the flare loop. The Fe xxi observations indicate a preheating before the impulsive phase and showed the formation of hot post-flare loops. This later formation was confirmed by soft X-ray observations. These observations provide limitations for current flare models and will provide the data needed for initial conditions in modeling the concurrent coronal transient.  相似文献

By processing 494 observations of Comet Harrington–Abell, we obtained a unified system of elements that includes its turn around the Sun during which it closely approached Jupiter to a minimum distance of 0.037 AU in 1974. A study of the cometary orbit before and after the approach showed that, probably, at the approach of the comet to Jupiter, apart from the well-known gravitational perturbations, its motion was affected by an additional force. An improvement of the cometary orbit by assuming that an additional acceleration inversely proportional to the square of the distance to Jupiter exists in its motion yielded the following values: (4.57 ± 0.42) × 10–10 and (–7.20 ± 0.42) × 10–10 AU day–2 for the radial and transversal acceleration components, respectively. As a plausible explanation of the changes in the cometary orbit, we additionally considered a model based on the hypothesis of partial disintegration of the cometary nucleus. The parameter that characterizes the instant displacement of the center of inertia along the jovicentric radius vector was estimated to be –1.83 ± 0.75 km. Based on a unified numerical theory of cometary motion, we determined the nongravitational parameters using Marsden's model for two periods: A 1 = (11.68 ± 1.74) × 10–10 AU day–2, A 2 = (0.53 ± 0.0357) × 10–10 AU day–2 for 1975–1999 and A 1 = (5.92 ± 5.86) × 10–10 AU day–2, A 2 = (0.08 ± 0.028) × 10–10 AU day–2 for 1955–1969, under the assumption that the nongravitational acceleration changed at the approach of the comet to Jupiter.  相似文献

The results of observations of the Rosette emission nebula NGC 2237 with the radio telescope UTR-2 at frequencies 12.6, 14.7, 16.7, 20.0 and 25.0 MHz are given in the shape of contours of constant brightness temperature. The half-power beamwidth of the telescope to zenith at 25.0 MHz was 28×38. Density weighted mean values for the non-thermal radio emissivity between the Sun and the source (7.9×10–41 W m–3 Hz–1 ster–1 at 25.0 MHz) and the ratio of the intensity of emissivity generated before the area and the intensity of galactic radio emissivity appearing beyond the area equal to 1.3 have been obtained. The electron temperatureT e=3600 K, the optical depth (about ten at 25 MHz), the measure of emission (ME=3500 cm–6 pc), the electron densityN e=8 cm–3 and the nebular mass 16.6×10+3 M have been determined. The statistical equilibrium equations for the continuum and first 10 levels of a hydrogen atom show that the radiation of a bright prominence (the brightness of the H line has attained 56 mÅ of the disc centre spectrum) is completely due to scattering of the Sun radiation. The basic unknowns are separated with certainty: electron concentration (n e = 3.0 × 1010 cm–3), effective thickness (l = 4.2 × 108 cm) and electron temperature (T e = 5000 K).Radiation of a very bright prominence (A (H) = 213 mÅ; T e = 7300 K; n e = 5.0 × 1011 cm–3; l = 1.3 × 107 cm) is on account of electron impacts (40%) and the Sun radiation scattering (60%).The parameters are shown to depend greatly on the prominence optical thickness in the lines of the first subordinate series of a hydrogen atom. In the course of determination all the parameters and 100 interconnected integral equations of the radiation diffusion have been thickness-averaged; the population of levels has been calculated by observations using the self-absorption factors.  相似文献

An analysis of the results of observations of the symbiotic star Z And has shown that no definite model can be derived at present on their basis. If the hot component is essentially an accreting white dwarf with a hydrogen-burning shell source, then the gas envelope must be optically thin for Lc-emission and itsT e must be in the neighborhood of 2.6×104K. And if the hot component is a Main-Sequence star with an accretion disk around it, then it is classified with red dwarfs. The electron temperature of the gas envelope must be 1.5×104K. The luminosity of the hot component at the minimum of its visual brightness is only a few times lower than its Eddington limit. Therefore, as the accretion rate goes up, the initial increase in its brightness (U1 m .5), unaccompanied by any perceptible changes in the spectrum of Z And, will be followed by disintegration of the regular disk and flare of the star in the visible range. In the same model, partial eclipses of the hot source must occur. They seem to be observable on the star's light curve in theU band. Substitution of a solar-type star for the first-named component in the binary red dwarf + red giant system will lead to a significant decrease in the excitation of the combination spectrum.  相似文献

B andV observations of the W Ursae Majoris-type eclipsing variable system AK Her were made on five nights at the Ege University Observatory. Several times of minima were obtained during the observations and the new light elements were calculated. The light-time period was found to be about 75.72 years. The light curve of the system appears to change in each cycle for both colours. The secondary minimum of the system seems to be a total eclipse with a duration of about 42 m .5.  相似文献

The photoelectricB andV colour observations of the Lyrae-type eclipsing binary CN And were made on four nights at the Ege University Observatory. The new light elements, which were calculated by adding new times of minima obtained during the observations to the previous ones, were given. In this paper, we present VRc photometric observations of four dwarf cepheids: YZ Boo (P = 0 . d 104, V = 0 . m 5), AD CMi (P = 0 . d 123, V = 0 . m 5), XX Cyg (P = 0 . d 135, V = 0 . m 5), EH Lib (P = 0 . d 088, V = 0 . m 7). The light curves were obtained at West Mountain Observatory, Provo, Utah on 14 nights from 1983 through 1986 and contain 589 data points in each of theV andR bands in the Cousin photometric system.
