自动气象站数据采集器温度通道的采集处理性能直接影响温度测量数据准确性,利用最小二乘支持向量机(LSSVM:Least Squares Support Vector Machine)算法对一款区域站数据采集器温度通道校准数据系统误差进行拟合建模。基于该模型对校准结果进行修正,并对校准修正后温度通道的测量结果进行不确定度评估。经校准修正后,数据采集器温度通道测量误差均小于0.05℃,测量结果的不确定度为0.06℃,远小于修正前测量误差与不确定度,修正效果显著。该方法同样适用于其他型号的数据采集器,为自动站观测数据质量控制提供有效参考。  相似文献

National Centers for Environmental Prediction recently upgraded its operational seasonal forecast system to the fully coupled climate modeling system referred to as CFSv2. CFSv2 has been used to make seasonal climate forecast retrospectively between 1982 and 2009 before it became operational. In this study, we evaluate the model’s ability to predict the summer temperature and precipitation over China using the 120 9-month reforecast runs initialized between January 1 and May 26 during each year of the reforecast period. These 120 reforecast runs are evaluated as an ensemble forecast using both deterministic and probabilistic metrics. The overall forecast skill for summer temperature is high while that for summer precipitation is much lower. The ensemble mean reforecasts have reduced spatial variability of the climatology. For temperature, the reforecast bias is lead time-dependent, i.e., reforecast JJA temperature become warmer when lead time is shorter. The lead time dependent bias suggests that the initial condition of temperature is somehow biased towards a warmer condition. CFSv2 is able to predict the summer temperature anomaly in China, although there is an obvious upward trend in both the observation and the reforecast. Forecasts of summer precipitation with dynamical models like CFSv2 at the seasonal time scale and a catchment scale still remain challenge, so it is necessary to improve the model physics and parameterizations for better prediction of Asian monsoon rainfall. The probabilistic skills of temperature and precipitation are quite limited. Only the spatially averaged quantities such as averaged summer temperature over the Northeast China of CFSv2 show higher forecast skill, of which is able to discriminate between event and non-event for three categorical forecasts. The potential forecast skill shows that the above and below normal events can be better forecasted than normal events. Although the shorter the forecast lead time is, the higher deterministic prediction skill appears, the probabilistic prediction skill does not increase with decreased lead time. The ensemble size does not play a significant role in affecting the overall probabilistic forecast skill although adding more members improves the probabilistic forecast skill slightly.  相似文献

The far-field amplitude of the waves generated by a steadily propagating radially symmetric disturbance on the beta-plane is calculated using Lighthill's method. From this can be obtained the fluxes of quantities such as wave energy which are radiated away from the disturbance. The radiated wave power is computed for a variety of forms of the disturbance. The rate of change of pseudomomentum in the system is also calculated: the component parallel to the motion of the disturbance is the radiated wave power divided by velocity. Results are compared to previous work and some physical issues are discussed.  相似文献

Summary Based on observed monthly mean temperatures, it is possible to construct a simple mathematical model of the annual variation of daily mean temperature, the annual temperature wave. For periods of 15 years, the model gives a good correlation with the observed monthly values. The model may be used as a tool for the generation of daily mean temperatures for the corresponding period. It is continuous, differentiable and strictly monotonous between the unique maximum and the minimum of the curve. Consequently, climate quantities of interest for each period can be calculated by the means of simple mathematical analyses. The model was tested by reproducing values for quantities such as annual mean temperature, winter mean temperature, summer mean temperature and temperature sums. Model calculated values, fit values calculated directly from observed data well. The model was also tested by comparing results from two different but neighbouring stations. There was a good correlation between the results from the two stations. Long homogenised time series with 130 years of monthly mean temperature from seven Norwegian stations were analysed by means of the model. It was found that the Frost Free Season Length and the Growth Season Length had increased for all stations by 10–20 days/100 years in the period 1871–1990. The Summer Half-year Length, even if it was defined relative to the annual mean temperature, also increased for all stations by 4–9 days/100 years. The Hot Season Length showed positive trends as well, and for the five stations in Southern Norway, the trends were as high as 18–29 days/100 years. The Heat Sum had increased by 6–11% for southern stations and 20–22% for the northern stations. The results indicate that the level as well as the shape of the annual temperature wave changed in the period from 1871 to 1990. Some of the results for the period 1990–1999 diverge substantially from the trends, possibly indicating significant changes in the shape of the annual temperature wave in this last period.  相似文献

利用2016—2021年ECWMF集合预报资料、浙江自动站实况资料等,计算浙江短时强降水、雷暴大风和冰雹等强对流天气相关物理量的极端天气预报指数(EFI:Extreme Forecast Index),分析EFI分布特征,并构建了分类强对流预报模型。结果表明:强对流天气与物理量的EFI有密切联系,发生短时强降水时,对流有效位能、整层可降水量、850 hPa与500 hPa温差和位温差的EFI较大,而垂直风切变的EFI为负值,因而较小的垂直风切变更有利于出现极端降水;发生雷暴大风和冰雹时,对流有效位能、850 hPa与500 hPa温差和位温差以及850 hPa温度露点差的EFI较大,700 hPa露点温度的EFI为负值,与上层干冷下层暖湿的有利层结条件有关。利用支持向量机多分类方法,将强对流天气相关物理量的EFI作为特征值开展训练,构建的预报模型对于非局地强对流天气有较好的预报效果,其中短时强降水的误判率明显低于雷暴大风。  相似文献

模式变量背景误差在观测空间的投影,也即观测变量的背景误差包含了变分同化系统的重要信息,其在诊断和分析变分同化系统中资料的影响等方面具有重要作用,特别是在背景场检查质量控制中。在GRAPES全球三维变分同化(3DVar)系统中仅给定了控制变量的背景误差,并未直接给定观测变量的背景误差。为了能够对GRAPES全球3DVar进行全面的诊断和分析,改进卫星微波温度计资料的质量控制,推导出GRAPES全球3DVar同化系统控制变量随机扰动方法估计观测变量的背景误差的公式,为分析和改进GRAPES全球3DVar提供了一个有力工具,并进而估计了AMSU-A亮温的背景误差,分析了AMSU-A不同通道亮温的背景误差特征,将其应用于GRAPES全球3DVar的AMSU-A亮温的背景场检查质量控制中。结果表明,控制变量随机扰动方法估计的GRAPES全球3DVar同化系统AMSU-A亮温的背景误差正确合理。同化循环预报试验结果表明,亮温的背景误差在背景场检查中的应用显著提高了GRAPES全球3DVar同化的亮温资料的数量,显著提高了GRAPES南半球对流层中高层位势高度场的预报技巧。在GRAPES全球3DVar同化系统中推导和实现的控制变量扰动方法为诊断和分析GRAPES全球3DVar观测资料同化效果提供了有力工具。   相似文献

The variances of fluctuations of scalar quantities can be measured and interpreted to yield indirect estimates of their vertical fluxes in the atmospheric surface layer. Strong correlations among scalar fluctuations indicate a similarity of transfer mechanisms, which is utilized in some of the variance techniques. The ratios of the standard deviations of two scalar quantities, for example, can be used to estimate the flux of one if the flux of the other is measured, without knowledge of atmospheric stability. This is akin to a modified Bowen ratio approach. Other methods such as the normalized standard-deviation technique and the correlation-coefficient technique can be utilized effectively if atmospheric stability is evaluated and certain semi-empirical functions are known. In these cases, iterative calculations involving measured variances of fluctuations of temperature and vertical wind velocity can be used in place of direct flux measurements. For a chemical sensor whose output is contaminated by non-atmospheric noise, covariances with fluctuations of scalar quantities measured with a very good signal-to-noise ratio can be used to extract the needed standard deviation. Field measurements have shown that many of these approaches are successful for gases such as ozone and sulfur dioxide, as well as for temperature and water vapor, and could be extended to other trace substances. In humid areas, it appears that water vapor fluctuations often have a higher degree of correlation to fluctuations of other trace gases than do temperature fluctuations; this makes water vapor a more reliable companion or reference scalar. These techniques provide some reliable research approaches but, for routine or operational measurement, they are limited by the need for fast-response sensors. Summary Richards equation, which is the key relationship for addressing basic soil hydrological processes within the rhizosphere and constitutes the basis for multiple-layer soil hydrology models for meteorological studies, is modified to include two vegetation processes: the transpiration (daytime) and hydraulic lift (nighttime). The analytical form of the adjoint system is derived and can serve as the guideline for discrete forms, as implemented in a variety of multiple layer land surface models. The modified equation and its adjoint model may be used to address at least two types of inverse problems: estimation of the initial soil moisture contents from sparse observations of related quantities; and retrieval of critical soil/vegetation parameters with observations of soil moisture contents (or other related quantities) distributed over a certain period of time. The former may be of more interest for numerical weather prediction studies, whereas the latter may be more valuable for longer time integration of climate models.  相似文献

根据国内测定的排放因子数据和国家、部委及各省市统计年鉴公布的排放源数据,得到的中国大陆的1°×1°网格精度的SO2的排放分布,计算了中国地区人为扰动气溶胶的辐射强迫。应用近期开发的二维能量平衡模式计算了由该种气溶胶所引起的中国地区地面温度变化。模式结果表明,最大辐射强迫和最大地面温度变化都集中在中国的沿海和四川地区。最大辐射强迫达3 W/m2。  相似文献

利用2018年1月至2019年12月河北省中南部地区的微波辐射计和探空数据,将两种探测设备取得的资料在时间和空间上进行点对点匹配,共筛选出187条晴空廓线、1176条云天廓线和12条毛毛雨天廓线,定量分析了各个高度层的晴天、云天和毛毛雨天气条件下两种大气探测设备的温度、相对湿度和水汽密度廓线的相关性及误差情况。结果表明:3种天气条件下的微波辐射计与无线电探空仪温度和水汽密度的相关性整体较好,地基微波辐射计观测的大气参数分布存在不同程度的差异,但是微波辐射计和探空的变化趋势一致性较好,并且无线电探空仪观测的大气参数和微波辐射计反演的温度、相对湿度和水汽密度相关性整体上均呈现低层大气优于高层大气,温度相关性最好,水汽密度次之,相对湿度最低。通过对比各个高度层的拟合程度,发现3.5 km以下的低层大气参数精度更可靠,对于需要间接计算的大气物理量,如K指数、有效位能、积分水汽含量等,使用低层数据计算的大气物理量精度会更好。本文开展的地基微波辐射计反演的大气物理参数与探空仪观测对比研究工作,对提高微波辐射计在大气物理和人工影响天气的探测精度方面具有参考意义。  相似文献

本文提出了计算地气耦合系统中温度和湿度变化的一维数值模式,在土壤中,利用热量平衡和水份平衡原理计算土壤温度和湿度,在大气中,考虑了长短波辐射、云量和凝结等因素对大气温湿变化的影响。选择一种代表性土壤对模式进行了检验,结果发现,模式能较好地模拟诸多物理量的日变化过程。计算表明,大气和土壤的初始温湿分布,对结果有较大影响。本文的原理可应用于大气环流模式中陆气相互作用过程的参数化。  相似文献

使用NCEP(1°×1°)再分析资料计算湿热力平流参数及其积分,通过对比分析2008—2009年初夏(5—6月)地面实况降水与该因子积分后的中心大值区的对应关系。理论分析表明:湿热力平流参数综合体现了锋区附近大气的动力、热力及水汽作用,相对于常用的相当位温、湿度等常用物理量来说,在一定程度上包含了广义位温及位温平流的相互作用,对实际非均匀饱和大气的动热力变化及水汽有较好的反映。统计分析也表明:积分后的湿热力平流参数中心值区与地面6小时强降水落区有较好的对应关系,它的变化趋势及移动方向与强降水区的变化也较一致,能作为短时强降水落区预报提供参考;利用NCEP/NCAR(1°×1°)再分析资料和Micaps地面实况降水资料,选取2009年6月7-9日发生在贵州的强降水过程为例,通过把湿热力平流参数与此次过程中动、热力场结合进行诊断分析,进一步表明该参数能综合地反应锋面强降水系统中的水汽、动力及热力的垂直结构特征,能作为造成强降水的锋面系统的示踪物。  相似文献

用单位半径球面上闭合气压系统环流指数P(强度)、C(中心位置)的多年序列,构造了历年系统中心在C-周围分布的3个特征量:1)平均距离r,它定义为历年系统中心C偏离于气候中心C-(即中心位置异常C′)的权重几何平均距离,是系统中心分布区域大小的度量;2)压缩系数μ,它描述了历年系统中心分布区域偏离于圆形的程度,是历年系统中心位置分布各向异性的度量;3)极大异常方向β,它用系统中心极大异常偏离-C处正东方向的角度,给出了系统中心的主要异常方向。对1948—2007年6、7、8月100hPa南亚高压中心位置分布特征量的计算结果表明,它们能简要、精确地描述系统中心位置异常在球面上的分布特征。根据r、μ、β的定义,它们也适用于精确描述球面上其他要素场中闭合系统中心在球面上的分布特征。  相似文献

Motivated by ageostrophic interactions of wave and basic flow,the generalized relationships between 3-dimensional Eliassen-Palm flux and basic flows,which are suitable for small-amplitude and finite-amplitude disturbances,are derived.The local area-averaged and density-weighted mean flows are chosen as the basic flows.Under the assumption that the steady basic flows vary slowly in time and space,a quasi-conservative law of small amplitude wave activity is derived from Ertel's potential vorticity equation in isentropic coordinates. The expressions of the new 3-D Eliassen-Palm flux and wave activity are presented in terms of Eulerian quantities so that they can be readily calculated by using observation data or model output data.  相似文献

利用1979~2018年ECMWF再分析资料和国家气候中心站点数据,对比分析10个东亚冬季风指数的气候倾向率、周期变化特征及相关关系,运用多变量经验正交函数分析东亚冬季风系统各成员要素的内在关联性,讨论各指数与中国冬季气温的关系。结果表明:近40a东亚冬季风强度呈缓慢的减弱趋势,存在准3a、准5a的周期变化,1983年、1985年和1995年为东亚冬季风活动异常强烈的年份;东亚冬季风同类指数之间的相关性好于不同类指数,季风系统各成员要素联系紧密、协同变化关系明显;东亚冬季风指数与中国东部地区冬季气温的相关性优于西部高原地区,各指数与西北地区冬季气温均呈显著负相关。   相似文献

Public weather services are trending toward providing users with probabilistic weather forecasts, in place of traditional deterministic forecasts. Probabilistic forecasting techniques are continually being improved to optimize available forecasting information. The Bayesian Processor of Forecast (BPF), a new statistical method for probabilistic forecast, can transform a deterministic forecast into a probabilistic forecast according to the historical statistical relationship between observations and forecasts generated by that forecasting system. This technique accounts for the typical forecasting performance of a deterministic forecasting system in quantifying the forecast uncertainty. The meta-Gaussian likelihood model is suitable for a variety of stochastic dependence structures with monotone likelihood ratios. The meta-Gaussian BPF adopting this kind of likelihood model can therefore be applied across many fields, including meteorology and hydrology. The Bayes theorem with two continuous random variables and the normal-linear BPF are briefly introduced. The meta-Gaussian BPF for a continuous predictand using a single predictor is then presented and discussed. The performance of the meta-Gaussian BPF is tested in a preliminary experiment. Control forecasts of daily surface temperature at 0000 UTC at Changsha and Wuhan stations are used as the deterministic forecast data. These control forecasts are taken from ensemble predictions with a 96-h lead time generated by the National Meteorological Center of the China Meteorological Administration, the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, and the US National Centers for Environmental Prediction during January 2008. The results of the experiment show that the meta-Gaussian BPF can transform a deterministic control forecast of surface temperature from any one of the three ensemble predictions into a useful probabilistic forecast of surface temperature. These probabilistic forecasts quantify the uncertainty of the control forecast; accordingly, the performance of the probabilistic forecasts differs based on the source of the underlying deterministic control forecasts.  相似文献

Based on the surface 2?m monthly minimum temperature from the National Centers for Environmental Prediction/National Center for Atmospheric Research reanalysis dataset, the spatial and temporal characteristics of winter minimum temperature during 1961–2010 have been analyzed in China. Results showed that the minimum temperature in China has a significant increasing rate of 0.25° per decade calculated by the Mann–Kendall statistical test, which is consistent with the global warming trend. Empirical orthogonal function (EOF) analysis reveals that there are three main patterns that can explain more than 57.6% of the total variance of the winter minimum temperature. The EOF1, EOF2, and EOF3 account for 34.8%, 13.5%, and 13.5% of the total inter-annual variance, respectively. The EOF1, EOF2, and EOF3 patterns are synchronous in northern China, central China, and on the Tibetan Plateau. There exist a decrease trend in the corresponding time coefficients of EOF1 and EOF2 and an increase trend in that of EOF3 since the 1960s. Both the corresponding time coefficients of EOF1 and EOF2 have significant positive correlations with the 500?hPa geopotential heights of the Arctic region and negative correlations in the regions lower than 40°N, while a significant positive correlation is found between the corresponding time coefficients of EOF3 and 500?hPa geopotential heights in the low latitudes. This suggests that rapid warming occurs in northern China and on the Tibetan Plateau, while the weakest trend locates in southeast China. Thus, warming in winter is more pronounced at higher altitudes and latitudes. These patterns are tightly connected with the atmospheric circulation.  相似文献

针对地基测云系统中云在可见光波段与红外波段中表现出的不同特性,用双站数字式云高仪所测云高进行标校,结合地面实时观测天顶红外辐射亮温及地面环境参数,分析地面到云层底大气对红外辐射亮温的影响,从中发现利用天空红外辐射亮温来遥感云底高度的可行性,研发地基双波段测云系统。该系统以对流层大气的垂直温度递减率为理论基础,建立云层底到地面的温度递减梯度参数K,根据递减梯度参数反演天顶方向的云高。该算法不依赖于探空数据,通过实时定标形式得出符合仪器所在地的云底高反演公式。通过与维萨拉激光云高仪CL31进行数据对比分析得出,地基双波段测云系统反演结果具有较高的准确性。  相似文献

Abstract

The relationships between monthly anomalies of sea surface temperature (SST) and monthly anomalies of several surface wind parameters are examined using ten years of data from the mid‐latitude North Pacific Ocean. The wind parameters involve both u3 * and curl τ, where u* is the atmospheric friction velocity and τ the surface stress. These quantities are calculated from surface wind components analysed on synoptic (6‐hourly) maps. In order to examine the effect of synoptic disturbances, the time series of surface wind components at each grid point is high‐pass filtered (passing periods less than 10 days) and the above wind parameters are calculated from both filtered and unfiltered wind components.

Two statistically significant relationships are found between monthly anomalies of SST and those of the various wind parameters. The first is a large coherent negative correlation between monthly anomalies of u3 * calculated from the high‐pass filtered wind components and month‐to‐month changes in the SST anomalies in the Central Pacific. This relationship is attributed to the production of turbulent vertical mixing in the ocean by synoptic disturbances in the atmosphere. The second relationship is a large positive correlation between curl τ calculated from the unfiltered wind components and SST anomaly changes in the Eastern Pacific. This relationship, which is opposite to that expected from Ekman pumping, is attributed to a negative association between the wind stress curl and the meridional advection of heat by the eastern boundary current system. It is shown that these atmospheric forcing mechanisms explain up to 10 per cent of the variance of monthly SST anomalies in a large part of the mid‐latitude North Pacific Ocean. This amount is in addition to, but certainly less than, that which can be explained by anomalous horizontal advection through statistical relationships with sea‐level pressure anomalies (Davis, 1976).  相似文献

国家气象信息中心(NMIC)和美国大气海洋局气候预测中心合作开发了"中国逐日格点降水量实时分析系统(V1.0)",并已在NMIC投入业务试运行。该系统基于我国2419个国家级地面气象站日降水量观测(08:00—08:00,北京时)数据,采用"基于气候背景场"的最优插值方法,实时生成空间分辨率为0.5°×0.5°的格点化日降水量资料。通过对汛期典型区域和单站降水过程的对比分析表明:该格点化产品的精度较高,能准确捕捉并再现每一次降水过程。误差分析表明:约91%的数据绝对误差小于1.0 mm/d。该产品在定量分析天气实况、检验天气气候模式精度、检验卫星产品精度等方面有应用前景。  相似文献
