The diffusion profile method has been employed to measure tin diffusion coefficients and SnO2 solubility in water-saturated, peralkaline to peraluminous haplogranitic melts at 850°C, 2 kbar, and log ƒO2 conditions ranging from FMQ - 0.57 to FMQ + 3.49. At reduced conditions cassiterite is highly soluble and tin is present dominantly as a Sn2+ species, whereas at oxidized conditions SnO2 is much less soluble, and tin is present dominantly as a Sn4+ species. There is a strong melt composition control on SnO2 solubility; solubilities are at a minimum at the subaluminous composition, increase strongly with alkali content in peralkaline compositions and weakly with Al content in peraluminous compositions. In the case of the latter, this increase can only be distinguished at reduced conditions, e.g., at a log ƒO2 of FMQ - 0.57 cassiterite solubility increases from 2.78 to 4.11 wt% SnO2 for melt with Al/(Na + K)compositions (A.S.I.) of 1.0 and 1.2, respectively. At oxidized conditions SnO2 solubility is 500 ppm for both the A.S.I. 1.0 and 1.2 compositions. By comparison Sn02 solubilities in the most peralkaline composition investigated range from 3.94 wt% to -10 wt% Sn02, for the most oxidized to the most reduced conditions, respectively. Thermodynamic modelling of the data indicates that the Sn4+/ΣSn ratio in the melt is also at a minimum at the subaluminous composition, ranging from 0.4 at log ƒO2 of FMQ + 3.49 to 0.01 at FMQ - 0.57. Over the same log foZ range the Sn4+/ΣSn ratio for the A.S.I. 0.6 composition ranges from 0.98 to 0.4 and for the A.S.I. 1.25 composition, from 0.8 to 0.02.Tin diffusivity is dependent on both fO2 and melt composition. The effective binary diffusion coefficient of tin at reduced conditions is approximately 10−7.5 cm2/sec for the peraluminous compositions and 10−8.2 cm2/sec for the peralkaline compositions. At oxidized conditions these values decrease to approximately 10−8.2 and 10−9.0 cm2/sec, respectively. These are interpreted to reflect relatively fast diffusion where Sn2+ is the dominant valence and tin in this case behaves similar to a network modifier and relatively slow diffusion where Sn4+ is dominant and tin likely has a lower coordination number. Alternatively, the coordination of Sn2+ and Sn4+ is the same, but the bond strengths are different. At fixed fO2 the faster diffusivity in the peraluminous compositions reflects the lower Sn4+/Sn2+ ratio. The fact the Sn4+/Sn2+ ratio in melts varies greatly with ƒO2 at redox conditions near FMQ suggests that the partitioning behaviour of tin possibly changes during the evolution of an igneous suite in general and of a peraluminous granite suite in particular.  相似文献

This study applied a comprehensive quantitative approach including statistical, principal component and gray relation analyses to assess the groundwater chemistry based on monitored data from 840 samples collected from the lower reaches of Tarim River from 2000 to 2009. The main findings were: (1) there were six types of groundwater chemistry in the lower reaches of Tarim River where Cl·SO4–Na·Mg was the dominant type accounting for 73.57% in all samples. There were linear relationships among chemical parameters, where TDS had significant multiple correlations with Na+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+ and Cl, respectively. (2) Three principal components (PC1, PC2 and PC3) were extracted. They included comprehensive measurements for salinization, alkalinity and pH, respectively. Most parameters showed decreasing trends during the period of 2000–2009, as well as the scores on PC1, because the concentrations of various chemical substances were diluted due to the uplift of the groundwater table in the lower reaches and the implementation of the ecological water delivery project in 2000. (3) HCO3 was the most sensitive chemical parameter affected by the groundwater table followed by TA, Mg2+, TH, SO42−, K+, TDS and TS. PC2 was the most sensitive principal component to the change of the groundwater table followed by PC1 and PC3.  相似文献

Field investigations at Dugway Proving Ground in western Utah have produced new data on the chronology and human occupation of late Pleistocene and early Holocene lakes, rivers, and wetlands in the Lake Bonneville basin. We have classified paleo-river channels of these ages as “gravel channels” and “sand channels.” Gravel channels are straight to curved, digitate, and have abrupt bulbous ends. They are composed of fine gravel and coarse sand, and are topographically inverted (i.e., they stand higher than the surrounding mudflats). Sand channels are younger and sand filled, with well-developed meander-scroll morphology that is truncated by deflated mudflat surfaces. Gravel channels were formed by a river that originated as overflow from the Sevier basin along the Old River Bed during the late regressive phases of Lake Bonneville (after 12,500 and prior to 11,000 14C yr B.P.). Dated samples from sand channels and associated fluvial overbank and wetland deposits range in age from 11,000 to 8800 14C yr B.P., and are probably related to continued Sevier-basin overflow and to groundwater discharge. Paleoarchaic foragers occupied numerous sites on gravel-channel landforms and adjacent to sand channels in the extensive early Holocene wetland habitats. Reworking of tools and limited toolstone diversity is consistent with theoretical models suggesting Paleoarchaic foragers in the Old River Bed delta were less mobile than elsewhere in the Great Basin.  相似文献

老鸦泉碱性花岗岩位于新疆北部东准噶尔地区。老鸦泉碱性花岗岩体及其内卡姆斯特、干梁子锡矿床的矿石和岩石的岩矿鉴定、稀土元素以及流体包裹体的系统研究表明,老鸦泉碱性花岗岩及其内的花岗斑岩及含矿石英岩、云英岩化锡矿体、石英脉锡矿体,实际上是富碱花岗质岩浆逐渐分异演化的同源和最终产物,锡成矿流体为中-高温、低盐度。碱性岩浆晚期分异的大量气水热液富锡、富硅、富碱、富含F、Cl、SO24离子及离子团,其氧逸度高、酸度高、温度高,这种热液引起花岗岩体的硅化、云英岩化等自变质作用,在该作用中随温度、压力的降低及CH4等还原性气体及CO2气体的逃逸,改变了成矿流体的氧化-还原环境,流体向相对还原及碱性条件转化,在新的氧化还原、酸碱度界面条件下,其携带的锡的络合物不稳定而分解,锡沉淀成矿。  相似文献

The paper shows differences in character of tin mineralization in skarns which develop after dolomites (magnesial) and limestones (limy). Cassiterite is not deposited in the former, since because of the relatively high alkalinity and the high activity of boron (B203), tin preferentially enters the crystal structures of Sn-borates such as hulseite, ludwigite, and nordenskioldine rather than cassiterite. In limy skarns, tin is largely dissipated in garnets (up to 0.62%), axinites (up to 0.2%), and other minerals. It is only at the end of the appropriate stage, at relatively high acidity, that tin is deposited as cassiterite in magnetitic and amphibole-axinitic skarns. The latter are very favorable for development of economic ore bodies. Conclusions are made to the effect that a) tin is present in the postmagmatic solutions during each of the three stages, and also b) concerning optimum conditions for deposition of tin minerals in any stage (depending on magnitudes of Eh and pH environments and B2O3 and S2- activities. -- Author.  相似文献

Some drainage ditches in the intensively managed row-crop agricultural region of southern Minnesota evolved from a trapezoidal form to multi-staged channel forms similar to natural streams. Older ditches constructed in cohesive sediment of the Des Moines Lobe till tend to follow a channel evolution model developed by Simon and Hupp. Site cross sections, longitudinal water and bed profiles and bed material particle size were determined according to Harrelson and others at 24 older ditch reaches, 5 newly constructed ditch reaches and 13 natural stream reaches. Morphological features were hypothesized to change from trapezoidal form to flat bench banks, similar to benches found in natural stream channels. All data were statistically analyzed with respect to drainage area using regression, because channel form is directly related to drainage area for a given climate, geology and land use. Results show similar regression slope and intercept for bankfull channel width and bankfull cross-sectional area (CSA) of older ditches and natural streams compared to typical trapezoidal designed ditches. Evolved ditches developed a small floodplain bench above the ditch bed and adjusted their bankfull widths similar to natural stream channels with respect to drainage area. Old ditches showed a relatively strong R 2 (0.82, 0.68) for channel CSA and width, a weaker R 2 (0.45) for water surface slope, and little to no correlation with bed particle size. Channel form appears to have adjusted more quickly than bed facets and/or bed particle size distribution. However, stepwise regression determined that D84, width/depth ratio and mean bankfull depth explained 83?% of the variability of channel features across varying drainage areas. Findings suggest a possible reduction of long-term maintenance costs if older ditches are allowed to evolve over time. A stable ditch form similar to natural streams is typically self-sustaining, suggesting that prior to a scheduled clean-out, the ditch should be examined for hydraulic capacity, sediment transport and bank stability.  相似文献

The combined use of pumping and tracer test data enabled the derivation of equivalent average hydraulic conductivities (Kavg) for each test in a heterogeneous channelized alluvial aquifer, whereas K values of the preferential flow paths were two orders of magnitude higher. Greater and earlier drawdown was generally observed along preferential flow lines in a pumping test, within an array of 21 wells. The study aim was to characterize hydraulic properties of a channelized aquifer system in New Zealand by combining tracer and pumping test data. Estimates were able to be made of the percentage of highly permeable channels within the profile (~1.2%), effective porosity that reflected the maximum fraction of highly permeable channels within the aquifer (?eff–pc ~0.0038), and flows through highly permeable channels (~98%) and the sandy gravel matrix material (~2%). Using ?eff–pc, a tracer test Kavg value (~93 m/day) was estimated that was equivalent to pumping test values (~100 m/day), but two orders of magnitude smaller than K calculated solely from transport through permeable channels (Kpc ~8,400 m/day). Derived K values of permeable and matrix material were similar to values derived from grain size distribution using the Kozeny-Carman equation.  相似文献

We report a FTIR (Fourier transform infrared) study of a set of cordierite samples from different occurrence and with different H2O/CO2 content. The specimens were fully characterized by a combination of techniques including optical microscopy, single-crystal X-ray diffraction, EMPA (electron microprobe analysis), SIMS (secondary ion mass spectrometry), and FTIR spectroscopy. All cordierites are orthorhombic Ccmm. According to the EMPA data, the Si/Al ratio is always close to 5:4; X Mg ranges from 76.31 to 96.63, and additional octahedral constituents occur in very small amounts. Extraframework K and Ca are negligible, while Na reaches the values up to 0.84 apfu. SIMS shows H2O up to 1.52 and CO2 up to 1.11 wt%. Optically transparent single crystals were oriented using the spindle stage and examined by FTIR micro-spectroscopy under polarized light. On the basis of the polarizing behaviour, the observed bands were assigned to water molecules in two different orientations and to CO2 molecules in the structural channels. The IR spectra also show the presence of small amounts of CO in the samples. Refined integrated molar absorption coefficients were calibrated for the quantitative microanalysis of both H2O and CO2 in cordierite based on single-crystal polarized-light FTIR spectroscopy. For H2O the integrated molar coefficients for type I and type II water molecules (ν3 modes) were calculated separately and are [I]ε?=?5,200?±?700?l?mol?1?cm?2 and [II]ε?=?13,000?±?3,000?l?mol?1?cm?2, respectively. Observations of the threshold of movement of loosely packed gravel in a tidal current are described. For gravel with equivalent ‘spherical’ diameters D in the range 0.2 ?D? 5.0cm the critical friction velocity u*c, corresponding to the initiation of sediment transport, is given by u*c=7.0 D0.2. At large values of D within the quoted range, the value u*c is significantly lower than would be obtained by a Shields experiment (u*cD0.5). By comparing our values of u*c with those obtained under well-controlled laboratory conditions, the discrepancy with Shields is shown to be due to the open spacing between, and exposure of, individual pebbles on the seabed. By comparing our results with those from upland gravel streams and flume experiments, it is suggested that Shields assumed an excessively large water depth to particle size ratio as a constraint within which the critical sediment entrainment number 0c is valid.  相似文献

An extensive complex zoned skarn is developed at the contact of a leucoadamellite intrusive at Doradilla, NW New South Wales. The skarn is a disequilibrium assemblage resulting from a progressive sequence of replacement of a carbonate precursor. Early grossular‐clinopyroxene rocks are replaced by andradite with 0.5–3.5 wt.% SnO2 clinopyroxene and quartz. Later alteration along fractures and bedding planes of the garnet‐clinopyroxene quartz assemblage has produced calcite‐malayaite (CaSn0.95Ti0.05SiO5) veins. The final replacement stage was the overprinting of the silicate phases by assemblages containing sulphides, cassiterite, magnetite, titanite, fluorite, biotite and chlorite. The tin content of garent increases with increasing andradite component suggesting replacement of Fe3+ by Sn4+. Associated clinopyroxenes contain 0.1% SnO2. The coexistence of titanite and its tin isomorph malayaite with extremely limited solid solution indicates late stage skarn temperatures of less than 400°C.  相似文献

Summary In naturally occurring sulfides and sulfosalts, the elements tin and lead can substitute for each other and form solid solution series. The best known example is the montesite series between teallite and herzenbergite. Within a coordinated research program including ore microscopy, X-ray and microprobe studies, mineral syntheses and Mössbauer spectroscopy, other lead sulfosalts were discovered which show considerable solid solution series.Natural tin-bearing jamesonites which have been recently discovered have also been confirmed experimentally.The present work reveales a broad solid solution field for franckeite ranging from Pb-rich potosiite to Sn-rich incaite. The well-established silver-free franckeite formula exhibits an ideal composition of(Pb, Sn) 6 2+ Fe2+ Sn 2 4+ Sb 2 3+ S 14 2– . Valencies of the Fe, Sn, and Sb in franckeite shown in this formula have been confirmed by Mössbauer spectroscopy. Frequently observed trace amounts of Ag, Zn, Ge, and In are not essential in the structure.Numerous microprobe analyses of cylindrites indicate that they form a restricted solid solution series with slight Pb/Sn2+ variations. Cylindrite forms at increased sulfur fugacity. Experiments and microprobe analyses on ores demonstrate the direct replacement of tin-rich franckeite or incaite by pseudomorphic lamellae of cylindrite during controlled sulfdization but no characteristic cylinders were observed. Xiaolonghe is a poorly studied greisen-type tin deposit that is hosted by biotite granite in the western Yunnan tin belt. The mineralisation-related metaluminous and weak peraluminous granite is characterised by high Si, Al and K and low Mg, Fe and Ca, with an average A/CNK of 1.02. The granite is enriched in LILEs (K and Rb), LREEs and HFSEs (Zr, Hf, Th, U and Ce) and depleted in Ba, Nb, Sr, P, and Ti, with zircon εHf(t) =  10.8 to − 7.5 (TDM2 = 1.61–1.82 Ga). These characteristics indicate that the magma was generated by the partial melting of a thickened ancient crust. LA-ICP-MS U–Pb dating of igneous zircon and hydrothermal cassiterite yield ages of 71.4 ± 0.4 Ma and 71.6 ± 4.8 Ma, respectively. The igneous biotite and hydrothermal muscovite samples show Ar–Ar plateau ages of 72.3 ± 0.4 Ma and 70.6 ± 0.2 Ma, respectively. The close temporal relationship between the igneous emplacement and hydrothermal activity suggests that the tin mineralisation was closely linked to the igneous emplacement. The δ18O and δD values for the deposit range from + 3.11‰ to − 4.5‰ and from − 127.3‰ to − 94.7‰, respectively. The hydrothermal calcite C and O isotopic data show a wide range of δ13CPDB values from − 5.7‰ to − 4.4‰, and the δ18OSMOW values range from + 1.4‰ to + 11.2‰. The δ34SV-CDT data range from + 4.8‰ to + 8.9‰ for pyrite, and the 206Pb/204Pb, 207Pb/204Pb and 208Pb/204Pb ratios range from 18.708 to 18.760, from 15.728 to 15.754 and from 39.237 to 39.341, respectively. The stable isotopic (C–H–O–S–Pb) compositions are all similar to those of magmatic and mantle-derived fluids, which indicate that the ore-forming fluids and materials were mainly derived from magmatic sources that were accompanied by meteoric water. The tin mineralisation in the Xiaolonghe district was closely associated with the Late Cretaceous crustal-melting S-type granites that formed during the subduction of the Neo-Tethys oceanic lithosphere. Combined with the tin deposits in the Southeast Asian tin belt, Tengchong block and Central Lhasa, we interpreted that a giant intermittent tin mineralisation belt should be present along the Asian Neo-Tethys margin.  相似文献

Water samples were collected from 10 locations along the Truckee River system, 14 locations along the Walker River system, and 12 locations along the Carson River, and analyzed for B, Mo, V, W, Na, Cl, and pH. Boron concentrations ranged from approximately 2 mol/kg in the upper reaches of the Truckee River to almost 1,200 mol/kg in Pyramid Lake. Molybdenum, V, and W had concentrations in the nanomolal range; Mo varied from a low of about 12 nmol/kg to a high of 3,200 nmol/kg (Walker Lake); V ranged from 9 nmol/kg to approximately 470 nmol/kg; and W varied from a low value around 0.8 nmol/kg (West Walker River) to 1,030 nmol/kg. The high concentrations of these oxyanion-forming trace elements in the rivers reflects (1) the relative stability of these oxyanions (e.g., MoO4 2-, HVO4 2-, WO4 2-, B(OH)3, and/or B(OH)4 -) in the alkaline, well oxygenated river and lake waters, (2) contributions of hydrothermal waters (especially for B), and (3) weathering of rocks/regolith with high concentrations of these elements. In the case of Mo, V, and W, each exhibited relatively conservative behavior in the upper, oxygenated reaches of all three rivers. During the study period the region experienced a prolonged drought such that the lower reaches of each river were typified by no flow or stagnant waters and probably low oxygen and/or anoxic conditions (although not measured). Reductive processes occurring in the low flow to stagnant reaches of each river could have led to removal of Mo, V, and W from solution as coprecipitates with Fe monosulfides, or via sorption to Fe oxides/oxyhydroxides and/or organic matter. Boron, however, exhibited essentially no or minor removal from these rivers, and instead was added to each river via B-rich hydrothermal waters (e.g., Steamboat Creek from Steamboat Hot Springs), or by B-rich groundwaters via base-flow during the extensive drought.  相似文献

The 1800-km2 Okavango alluvial fan of northern Botswana represents an unusual depositional setting in which peat-forming perennial swamps (6000 km2) occur in a region of aeolian and semi-arid sedimentation within an incipient graben of the East African Rift. A channel system distributes water and sediment on the fan surface but cannot contain seasonal flood water, which spreads laterally from the channels through permeable channel margins, sustaining the flanking swamps. All sediment introduced is deposited on the fan. A detailed study of sediment movement and associated hydrological conditions in the channels was undertaken to examine sediment dispersal. Bedload greatly exceeds suspended load (at least by a factor of four). Vegetation and peat form permeable levees which confine the channels. In the upper reaches, two-way exchange of water occurs between channel and swamp depending on the season, but on the fan itself, channels lose water to the swamp. Bedload measurements reveal that the channel system is in a state of grade disequilibrium, with interspersed depositional and erosional reaches. Deposition of most of the incoming bedload occurs on the upper portion of the fan in a meandering and anastomosed channel system, but on the midfan, deposition of bedload occurs by channel-bed aggradation, at a rate of up to 5 cm yr–1. Further down slope, the channel enters a large lake where all remaining bedload is deposited. The presently observed sedimentation patterns may be due to a recent disturbance of the fluvial system, either by avulsion or neotectonics.  相似文献

Estimation of equation of state parameters for Sn++ and calculation of the thermodynamic properties of other aqueous species and dissociation constants for various stannous and stannic complexes as a function of temperature permit prediction of the high temperature solution chemistry of tin and calculation of the solubility of cassiterite in hydrothermal solutions. The results of these calculations indicate that in the absence of appreciable chloride and fluoride concentrations, Sn(OH)20 and Sn(OH)40 are the predominant tin species in H2O up to 350°C at ~2 $?pH $?7.5. The calculations also indicate that chloride complexes of Sn++ predominate by several orders of magnitude over their fluoride and hydroxide counterparts in 1–3 molal (m) NaCl solutions, except in the presence of geologically unrealistic concentrations of fluoride or a pH greater than ~3.5 at 250°C or ~5.0 at 350°C. At higher pH values, most of the tin in solution is present as hydroxide complexes, even at concentrations of NaCl as high as 3 m. Calculated values of the solubility of cassiterite at high temperatures compare favorably with experimental data reported in the literature. Depending on the fugacity of oxygen and solution composition, the solubility of cassiterite in hydrothermal solutions may exceed 100 ppm under geologically realistic conditions.  相似文献

Clast-supported boulder gravel in outwash-fans along the glacial-maximum margin of the Laurentide Ice Sheet in Wisconsin indicates the occurrence of outburst floods. These sediments, with clast intermediate axes of up to 2 m, are located downstream of tunnel channels and were deposited shortly before cessation of glaciofluvial activity on each fan. Since tunnel channels with fans are widespread along the ice-sheet margin in the western Great Lakes region, these outburst floods were probably common. Paleodischarge estimates derived from the boulder deposits are poorly constrained, but values of at least several hundred m3 s−1 are likely. Four potential water sources for the floods exist: an extreme surface-melt event, an extreme precipitation event, drainage of supraglacial lakes, or drainage of stored subglacial meltwater. We focus on the storage of subglacial meltwater behind the ice-sheet margin, as proglacial permafrost was present as ice advanced to its maximum extent, and a frozen-bed zone upstream from the margin probably impeded drainage through groundwater aquifers. Decay of this permafrost ‘seal’ would have eventually allowed trapped water to drain through the tunnel channels. We suggest that the 2-m boulders were entrained in an outburst of subglacial water that enlarged a pre-existing channel cut by ablation-derived flows.  相似文献

Biogeochemical processes were investigated in alpine river—Kamni?ka Bistrica River (North Slovenia), which represents an ideal natural laboratory for studying anthropogenic impacts in catchments with high weathering capacity. The Kamni?ka Bistrica River water chemistry is dominated by HCO3 ?, Ca2+ and Mg2+, and Ca2+/Mg2+ molar ratios indicate that calcite weathering is the major source of solutes to the river system. The Kamni?ka Bistrica River and its tributaries are oversaturated with respect to calcite and dolomite. pCO2 concentrations were on average up to 25 times over atmospheric values. δ13CDIC values ranged from ?12.7 to ?2.7 ‰, controlled by biogeochemical processes in the catchment and within the stream; carbonate dissolution is the most important biogeochemical process affecting carbon isotopes in the upstream portions of the catchment, while carbonate dissolution and organic matter degradation control carbon isotope signatures downstream. Contributions of DIC from various biogeochemical processes were determined using steady state equations for different sampling seasons at the mouth of the Kamni?ka Bistrica River; results indicate that: (1) 1.9–2.2 % of DIC came from exchange with atmospheric CO2, (2) 0–27.5 % of DIC came from degradation of organic matter, (3) 25.4–41.5 % of DIC came from dissolution of carbonates and (4) 33–85 % of DIC came from tributaries. δ15N values of nitrate ranged from ?5.2 ‰ at the headwater spring to 9.8 ‰ in the lower reaches. Higher δ15N values in the lower reaches of the river suggest anthropogenic pollution from agricultural activity. Based on seasonal and longitudinal changes of chemical and isotopic indicators of carbon and nitrogen in Kamni?ka Bistrica River, it can be concluded that seasonal changes are observed (higher concentrations are detected at low discharge conditions) and it turns from pristine alpine river to anthropogenic influenced river in central flow.  相似文献

Quartz-carbonate gold deposits were emplaced in shear zones at or above the brittle-ductile transition. Some of the largest deposits are known to have formed along major, long-lived, transcurrent shears. Shears of this type widened downwards in the ductile regime, as a result of decreasing rock viscosity with depth; some were as wide as 40 km at depths of granulite facies metamorphism. Ductile shears are permeable and, since the permeability is along microfractures, fluid flow was pervasive, providing the opportunity for extensive chemical reaction. Reaction rates were enhanced by shear heating and by deformation-induced stress gradients in minerals, and reductions in grain size. Fluid flow tended to be upwards, because of pressure drop into the brittle portion of the shear. Given the wedge-shaped profile of ductile shears, fluids that had passed through a large volume of lower crust would have been focused at the brittle-ductile transition. Thus, if processes existed to selectively remove elements during fluid movement through the lower crust, these elements would also have been focused at this transition.One of the most constant features of quartz-carbonate lodes is carbonate alteration, which may extend kilometers out from major deposits. The 13C signature of this is consistent with a mantle source for the CO2. Upward-moving CO2 vapour of probable mantle origin has been implicated in the dehydration of amphibolite facies rocks to granulites and the concomitant depletion of large ion lithophile elements (LILE). The best documented cases of modification of the lower crust by CO2 are from major shear zones. CO2 streaming at depth could only have occurred under conditions more oxidizing than that required for graphite stability. These conditions favour solubility of gold by (a) oxidizing Au0 to Au+; (b) by dissolving sulphide from the rocks to complex with Au+. Recent work has shown that some major Archean gold deposits were derived from relatively oxidized fluids.A conceptual model is outlined for the genesis of at least some quartz-carbonate gold deposits. CO2 permeating deep ductile shear zones dehydrated amphibolite facies rocks. A relatively oxidized CO2-H2O fluid was produced, which dissolved sulphide and gold from large volumes of lower crust. Gold was carried upwards in the narrowing shear, to be focused and precipitated at or above the brittle-ductile transition.  相似文献

Seasonal and spatial variations in water chemistry and contaminant sources were investigated in six major rivers in South Korea that vary widely in drainage area and length. The dissolved-load content of the rivers varied seasonally, and some dissolved ions such as Cl? and NO3 ? showed large spatial differences in all of the rivers. The water type changed from Ca–HCO3 in the upper reaches to Na–Cl–NO3 in the lower reaches, indicating anthropogenic contamination in the lower reaches. Compared with two relatively pristine rivers (the Sumjin and Mankyung rivers), the other four rivers, which flow through agricultural and urban areas, registered much higher Cl? and NO3 ? concentrations. Statistical analysis showed that seasonal and spatial variations in water chemistry occurred in all the rivers. The nitrogen and oxygen isotopes of dissolved nitrate indicated that the rivers flowing through urban and agricultural areas were significantly affected by manure, sewage, or both.  相似文献

The Tengchong-Lianghe tin district in northwestern Yunnan, China, is an important tin mineralization area in the Sanjiang Tethyan Metallogenic Domain. There are three N–S trending granite belts in the Tengchong-Lianghe area, with emplacement ages ranging from Early Cretaceous to Late Cretaceous and Early Cenozoic. Tin mineralization is spatially associated with these granitic rocks. However, the petrogenetic link between the tin deposits and the host granites is not clear because of the lack of age data for the tin mineralization. We investigate the possibility of direct dating of cassiterite from three typical tin deposits in the Tengchong-Lianghe tin district, using laser ablation multicollector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-MC-ICP-MS). In situ LA-MC-ICP-MS dating of seven cassiterite samples from the Lailishan (LLS-1 and LLS-2), Xiaolonghe (XLH, WDS, DSP, and HJS), and Tieyaoshan (TYS) tin deposits yielded well-defined 206Pb/207Pb–238U/207Pb isochron ages. To assess the accuracy of the in situ U/Pb dating of cassiterite, 40Ar/39Ar dating of coexisting muscovite (in samples LLS-1, DSP, and TYS) was also performed. The cassiterite in situ U/Pb ages (47.4?±?2.0, 71.9?±?2.3, and 119.3?±?1.7 Ma, respectively) are in excellent agreement with the coexisting muscovite 40Ar/39Ar ages (48.4?±?0.3, 71.9?±?1.4, and 122.4?±?0.7 Ma, respectively). The U/Pb ages of cassiterite combined with the 40Ar/39Ar ages of muscovite indicate that there are three tin mineralization events in this district: the Lailishan tin deposit at 47.4?±?2.0 to 52?±?2.7 Ma, the Xiaolonghe tin deposit at 71.6?±?2.4 to 3.9?±?2.0 Ma, and the Tieyaoshan tin deposit at 119.3?±?1.7 to 122.5?±?0.7 Ma. These ages are highly consistent with the zircon U/Pb ages of the host granites. It is su.ggested that the Cretaceous tin mineralization might have taken place in a subduction environment, while the Early Tertiary tin metallogenesis was in a postcollisional geodynamic setting.  相似文献
