正对于中国西北部地区干旱化的时间及原因,国内外的科学家进行了大量的研究,但是现在还存在激烈的争论。黄钾铁矾等含钾硫酸盐矿物通常形成于干旱-半干旱气候条件下,并保存于极端干旱气候条件下,因此对这类矿物进行40 Ar/39 Ar定年,不仅可以得到大陆化学风化的时间序列,还可以反演区域的古气候特征。本文通过对吐哈盆地2个矿床氧化带:红山铜金矿床和彩华沟铜-硫多金属矿床中表生含钾硫酸盐矿物40 Ar/39 Ar定年的研究,探索和验  相似文献

对氧化锰矿床的年代学研究不仅可以直接限定锰矿床次生富集成矿的时间及锰氧化物的生长速率,而且可为区域构造隆升、地貌形成过程和古气候演变等重大地质事件提供关键的年代学信息.本文报道云贵高原典型次生氧化锰矿-巴夜锰矿的高精度40Ar/39Ar定年数据,并根据40Ar/39Ar年龄计算了锰矿脉的生长速率.研究对象选自两条氧化锰矿脉(脉宽3~6cm),其中A脉与含锰岩系即中元古界锰铝榴石片岩的片理平行,产状平缓,而B脉则与锰铝榴石片岩的片理垂直,产状近于直立.矿相学观察、粉晶X-射线衍射、扫描电子显微镜-能谱分析和电子探针成分分析结果表明,上述两条矿脉均主要由隐钾锰矿组成,矿物结晶程度较高,具有针状和纤维状的良好晶形,K2O含量为0.96%~4.70%.激光阶段加热40Ar/39Ar同位素分析结果表明,A脉的形成时间为(1.35±0.05)~(1.16±0.04)Ma(坪年龄,2σ;n=14);根据样品的空间分布和坪年龄计算出其生长速率为115~153mm/Ma.B脉的年龄略微年轻,介于(1.23±0.05)~(1.01±0.09)Ma(坪年龄,2σ;n=7),计算的生长速率为34~67mm/Ma.A脉和B脉生长速率的差异反映氧化锰矿的生长与流体体系的压力大小有关.世界上其他地区氧化锰矿中锰结核的生长速率一般为0.3~9mm/Ma,比巴夜矿区氧化锰矿脉的生长速率低1~2个数量级,说明氧化锰矿的生长机制是控制其生长速率的重要因素:巴夜矿区的氧化锰矿脉由风化溶液中四价锰离子的直接沉淀而形成并充填在裂隙中,矿脉自脉壁向中心生长,而其他地区用于生长速率计算的样品均为环带状锰结核,受控于氧化锰的自催化氧化作用或锰-铁氧化物之间的催化氧化,锰氧化物自结核中心向外生长.隐钾锰矿的40Ar/39Ar定年结果还表明,更新世时期云贵高原以温暖潮湿的古气候为主,并经历了显著的构造抬升.  相似文献

新疆吐哈地区有色金属矿山上部氧化带中,发现了一种新的含K硫酸盐矿物-斜钾铁矾(KFe(SO4)2),含K量较高.若能应用40Ar/39Ar法测定该矿物年龄,可以研究该地区干旱化的时间、过程,从而探讨青藏高原隆升或两极冰盖的形成演化对于该地区气候的影响.但是,吐哈地区温度可达60℃,长时间的高温是否会引起矿物中的Ar的丢失?矿物颗粒细小是否会引起矿物中的Ar的丢失?这对于矿物年龄的解释具有重要意义.本文根据扩散理论,应用阶段加热的方法进行Ar的扩散特性研究,在此基础上,应用简单的内生长-扩散模型模拟了可能的高地表温度和矿物颗粒大小对样品年龄的影响.实验结果表明斜钾铁矾中Ar的扩散频率因子logD0/a2=13.71/s,活化能Ea=71.30kcal/mol,封闭温度Tc为294℃(假设冷却速率为10℃/Ma),活化能和封闭温度较高.而且,模拟结果表明斜钾铁矾形成后,在外界环境下温度和矿物颗粒大小对年龄几乎没有影响.在误差范围内重复性测试结果基本一致,进一步证明斜钾铁矾适用于40Ar/39Ar定年.  相似文献

基于野外地质调查、构造测量和白云母、黑云母、钾长石等矿物的40Ar/39Ar阶段升温测年分析, 获得了鲜水河断裂带新近纪左旋剪切变形冷却年龄. 观察和测试结果记录了剪切带两次热事件. 早期热事件(12~10 Ma)对应于鲜水河主干断裂西侧折多山中细粒花岗岩体从高温(>700℃)到中低温(<350℃)的快速冷却; 晚期热事件(5~3.5 Ma)对应于鲜水河主干断裂东侧细粒花岗岩体或岩脉的快速冷却. 测年结果为青藏高原东南缘川滇地块晚新生代向东构造挤出提供了重要的热年代学制约.  相似文献

对年轻(第四纪)火山岩K-Ar法、常规40Ar/39Ar法和激光40Ar/39Ar法定年的优缺点进行了评述,回顾了近10年40Ar/39Ar定年技术在该领域的进展,介绍了惰性气体质谱技术的进步及测量自动化对年轻火山岩定年的影响。讨论了快中子照射及40Ar/39Ar标样问题对高精度年轻火山岩定年的影响,分析了国内用于快中子照射的北京49-2反应堆中子通量梯度问题及对高精度定年的影响。结合年轻火山岩定年及数据处理的实际经验,介绍了年轻火山岩定年中的分析误差、主要影响因素及每个影响因子对总误差的贡献,指出36Ar测试精度、系统本底和质量歧视是影响年轻火山岩高精度定年3个主要内部因素,并给出定量化曲线及减小影响的处理方法。最后列举了年轻火山岩定年存在的问题及可能的探索方向。随着技术的发展,40Ar/39Ar法在晚更新世火山岩定年领域将会占有主导地位  相似文献

对四个40Ar/39Ar年龄测定中常用的国际标样Ga1550, MMhb-1, Lp-6, Bern 4M (以Ga1550为基准样)和一个国内标样BT-1(以Lp-6为基准样)进行了对比标定. 不同样量的重复测定论证了MMhb-1样品的不均匀性, 得到了该样品的年龄平均值为519.8 Ma; Bern 4M 和Lp-6的测定结果表明它们具有稳定的40Ar*/39Ark(F值), 所得的年龄结果接近它们的K-Ar年龄值: Lp-6 = 127.7 Ma; Bern 4M = 18.2 Ma; BT-1的年龄谱、Ca/K和Cl/K谱以及反等时线的分析表明, 这一样品的化学相均匀稳定, 样品封闭良好, 初始Ar组成接近大气值, 年龄值重复性好且稳定, 它的全熔年龄、阶段升温总气体年龄、坪年龄和反等时线年龄在误差(2σ)范围内无差别, 本研究推荐28.7 Ma为BT-1的标定值. 讨论了北京49-2原子能反应堆的中子通量变化情况, 结果表明该反应堆中子通量梯度变化大且不稳定, 须较多的标准样进行监测; 测定了该反应堆37ArCa39ArK的产率比系数(Ca/K转化系数)为1.78, 该值不同于以前报道的2.0, 这可能和后期49-2反应堆的改造有关.  相似文献

黑云母的40Ar/39Ar同位素年龄表明, 尚义-赤城断裂带中的中温糜棱岩形成于泥盆纪早期(399 Ma±), 低温退变质作用发生在石炭纪晚期(263 Ma±). 同位素年龄记录提示, 对华北陆块在古生代的构造活动有重新再认识的必要性; 同时说明了古断裂的复活在板内变形的重要性.  相似文献

探讨了玄武岩、辉绿岩和断层泥中粘土矿物3种全岩样品在40Ar-39Ar分析中的某些问题。利用快中子照射过程中不同矿物发生不均匀Ar丟失的模式解释了玄武岩40Ar-39Ar全熔年龄与K-Ar年龄间的差异。对辉绿岩样品的40Ar-39Ar分析确定了辉绿岩脉的侵入时代,并说明该地区其它辉绿岩样品K-Ar年龄的离散是受后期变质作用的影响。对于断层泥中粘土矿物,快中子照射中39Ar的反冲丢失导致<1μm粒级部分的40Ar-39Ar全熔年龄偏高。<1μm和2~10μm粒级样品的40Ar-39Ar年龄谱中,低温区较低的阶段年龄可能是断层后期较强烈活动的结果。  相似文献

利用210Pb、137Cs和241Am计年法测算云南抚仙湖现代沉积速率   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6  
通过对云南抚仙湖沉积物柱芯样品的210Pb、137Cs和241Am测试表明,柱芯剖面上有明显的1963年和1986年137Cs蓄积峰,验证了1975年次级蓄积峰存在的可能性,这些峰形完好的蓄积峰对抚仙湖的现代沉积环境有明显的时标意义。利用137Cs计年法得到抚仙湖沉积物自1963年、1975年及1986年以来到2007年的平均沉积速率分别为0.063g/(cm2·a)、0.052g/(cm2·a)和0.039g/(cm2·a),说明了过去近五十年抚仙湖沉积速率整体上经历了一个由快到慢的过程。借助于241Am 的1963年蓄积峰可以提高137Cs计年的准确性。根据210PbCRS计年模式,计算出每个样品深度所对应的年代,与137Cs计年法比较存在一定的偏差,分析了两种计年方法存在差异性的原因。通过质量深度和年代分析,抚仙湖的沉积速率变化幅度比较大,表明抚仙湖近129年来的沉积环境不稳定,可能与相应历史时期的人类活动有密切的关系。  相似文献

报道骑田岭岩体长石~(40)Ar/~(39)Ar定年的结果。~(40)Ar/~(39)Ar方法定年在骑田岭岩体还是首次应用。测定的3个正长石样品~(40)Ar/~(39)Ar坪年龄(Ma)分别为(139.57±2.79)(2KL-17),(140.55±2.81)(99LQ-2),(144.91±2.90)(2KL-31),上述年龄反映了骑田岭岩体主体芙蓉和菜岭超单元岩浆冷却到正长石Ar-Ar封闭的年龄。可以认为这是岩体形成的最小年龄。其中2KL-31样品采自前人划为菜岭超单元的印支期花岗岩。菜岭超单元和芙蓉超单元年龄相近,与两单元地球化学特征与岩石结构的相似性以及正长石斑晶在几乎全岩体中呈NW-SE定向排列的地质事实相吻合。表明芙蓉与菜岭两个超单元岩体是晚侏罗世同源岩浆分异的产物。对骑田岭岩体和千里山岩体进行了对比讨论。  相似文献

Intercalibration of international and domestic 40Ar/39Ar dating standards   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Four international standards, Ga1550, MMhb-1, Lp-6, Bem 4M, and one domestic standard BT-1 have been intercalibrated. The repeated measurements on MMhb-1 with different mass demonstrate that MMhb-1 is inhomogeneous in age and its average age is 519.8 Ma. The results of Bern 4M and Lp-6 reflect that they have an invariable value of 40Ar*/39Ark (F) and the ages we obtained are consensus with their K-Ar age: Lp-6=127.7Ma; Bern 4M=18.2 Ma. Analyses of BT-1 age spectra, Ca/K and Cl/K spectra as well as inverse isochrons indicate that the sample is homogeneous and invariable and keeps close chemically, with its trapped argon isotope composition close to the atmosphere. The dating results show that age values are reproducible and steady, total fusion age, step-heating age, plateau age and isochron age are in accord with each other within the error range (2σ). Therefore, we recommend 28.7 Ma as the calibrated age of BT-1. We also discuss the variation in neutron flux gradients of Beijing 49-2 reactor. It was found that the neutron flux gradient varies considerably, and more monitors (standard samples) are needed to fix the trend of variation. The coefficient of the 49-2 reactor that transfers the ratio of production rate of 37ArCa/39ArK into Ca/K ratio is 1.78. This is different from that reported earlier, 2.0, which may be caused by the reconstruction of the reactor.  相似文献

Samples of mylonite, ultramylonite and phyllonite were collected from 5 localities in the Anhui part of the Tan-Lu fault zone for40Ar/39Ar chronological studies. Among them 4 samples from 3 localities on the eastern margin of the Dabie orogenic belt yielded40Ar/39Ar plateau ages of 128 —132 Ma; and 2 samples from the western margin of the Zhangbalin uplift and eastern margin of the Bengbu uplift gave the same40Ar/39Ar plateau ages of 120 Ma. Isochron analyses and other lines of evidence suggest that the data are reliable. The data are interpreted as cooling ages of sinistral strike-slip deformation of the Tan-Lu fault zone. The younger ages from the north might be related to slower strike-slip rising. These results indicate that the large-scale left-lateral displacement in the Tan-Lu fault zone took place in the Early Cretaceous, rather than in Late Triassic (Indosinian) as proposed by some geologists. Therefore, this fault zone is an intracontinental wrench fault rather than a transform fault or suture line developed during formation of the Dabie orogenic belt.  相似文献

Conglomerates of the Kuma Group, central Shikoku, southwest Japan contain Sanbagawa schist clasts with a variety of metamorphic grades and lithologies. K–Ar and 40Ar/39Ar dating of phengite show all the pelitic schist clasts from low- to high-grade zones have similar phengite ages (82–84 Ma) that are significantly older than those from the in situ Sanbagawa sequence of central Shikoku. This is because the Kuma–Sanbagawa sequence was exhumed earlier than the in situ Asemi sequence with an exhumation process intermediate between those for the Kanto Mountains and the in situ Asemi sequences. 40A/39Ar plateau ages (103 and 117 Ma) of phengite in amphibolites indicate the timing of the early stage of the exhumation of the metamorphic pile, probably close to the peak metamorphic age.  相似文献

The integration of structural analyses with 40Ar/39Ar dating of fault-related pseudotachylytes provides time constraints for the reconstruction of the Alpine evolution of the central portion of the South Alpine orogenic wedge. In the northern sector of the belt a Variscan basement is stacked southward on the Permian to Mesozoic cover along regional faults (Orobic and Porcile thrusts). Fault zones, slightly postdating a first folding event of Alpine age, experienced a complex evolution through the ductile and brittle deformation regime, showing greenschist facies mylonites overprinted by a penetrative cataclastic deformation. Generation of fault-related pseudotachylyte veins marks the onset of brittle conditions, lasting up to the youngest episodes of fault activity. 40Ar/39Ar dating of the pseudotachylyte matrix of 9 samples give two separated age clusters: Late Cretaceous (80–68 Ma) and latest Palaeocene to Middle Eocene (55–43 Ma). These new data provide evidence that the pre-Adamello evolution of the central Southern Alps was characterised by the superposition of different tectonic events accompanying the exhumation of the deepest part of the belt through the brittle–ductile transition. The oldest pseudotachylyte ages demonstrate that south-verging regional thrusting in the central Southern Alps was already active during the Late Cretaceous, concurrently with the development of a synorogenic foredeep basin where the Upper Cretaceous Lombardian Flysch was deposited.  相似文献

We present new 40Ar/39Ar data for sanidine and biotite derived from volcanic ash layers that are intercalated in Pliocene and late Miocene astronomically dated sequences in the Mediterranean with the aim to solve existing inconsistencies in the intercalibration between the two independent absolute dating methods. 40Ar/39Ar sanidine ages are systematically younger by 0.7-2.3% than the astronomical ages for the same ash layers. The significance of the discrepancy disappears except for the upper Ptolemais ashes, which reveal the largest difference, if an improved full error propagation method is applied to calculate the absolute error in the 40Ar/39Ar ages. The total variance is dominated by that of the activity of the decay of 40K to 40Ar (∼70%) and that the amount of radiogenic 40Arp in the primary standard GA1550 biotite (∼15%). If the 40Ar/39Ar ages are calculated relative to an astronomically dated standard, the influence of these parameters is greatly reduced, resulting in a more reliable age and in a significant reduction of the error in 40Ar/39Ar dating.Astronomically calibrated ages for Taylor Creek Rhyolite (TCR) and Fish Canyon Tuff (FCT) sanidine are 28.53±0.02 and 28.21±0.04 Ma (±1 S.E.), respectively, if we start from the more reliable results of the Cretan A1 ash layer. The most likely explanation for the large discrepancy found for the younger Ptolemais ash layers (equivalent to FCT of 28.61 Ma) is an error in the tuning of this part of the sequence.  相似文献

40Ar/39Ar incremental heating experiments on igneous plagioclase, biotite, and pyroxene that contain known amounts of excess40Ar indicate that saddle-shaped age spectra are diagnostic of excess40Ar in igneous minerals as well as in igneous rocks. The minima in the age spectra approach but do not reach the crystallization age. Neither the age spectrum diagram nor the40Ar/36Ar versus39Ar/36Ar isochron diagram reliably reveal the crystallization age in such samples.  相似文献

New 40Ar/39Ar and 14C ages have been found for the Albano multiple maar pyroclastic units and underlying paleosols to document the most recent explosive activity in the Colli Albani Volcanic District (CAVD) near Rome, Italy, consisting of seven eruptions (Albano 1 = oldest). Both dating methodologies have been applied on several proximal units and on four mid-distal fall/surge deposits, the latter correlated, according to two current different views, to either the Albano or the Campi di Annibale hydromagmatic center. The 40Ar/39Ar ages on leucite phenocrysts from the mid-distal units yielded ages of ca. 72 ka, 73 ka, 41 ka and 36 ka BP, which are indistinguishable from the previously determined 40Ar/39Ar ages of the proximal Albano units 1, 2, 5 and 7, thus confirming their stratigraphic correspondence.  相似文献

Eighty-nine basaltic lava flows from the northwest wall of Haleakala caldera preserve a concatenated paleomagnetic record of portions of the Matuyama-Brunhes (M-B) reversal and the preceding Kamikatsura event as well as secular variation of the full-polarity reversed and normal geomagnetic field. They provide the most detailed volcanic record to date of the M-B transition. The 24 flows in the transition zone show for the first time transitional virtual geomagnetic poles (VGPs) that move from reverse to normal along the Americas, concluding with an oscillation in the Pacific Ocean to a cluster of VGPs east of New Zealand and back finally to stable polarity in the north polar region. All but one of the 16 Kamikatsura VGPs cluster in central South America. The full-polarity flows, with 40Ar/39Ar ages spanning a total of 680 kyr, pass a reversal test and give an average VGP insignificantly different from the rotation axis, with standard deviation consistent with that for other 0-5 Ma lava flows of similar latitude. Precise 40Ar/39Ar dating consisting of 31 incremental heating experiments on 12 transitional flows yields weighted mean ages of 775.6±1.9 and 900.3±4.7 ka for the M-B and Kamikatsura transitional flows, respectively. This Matuyama-Brunhes age is ∼16 kyr younger than ages for M-B flows from the Canary Islands, Tahiti and Chile that were dated using exactly the same techniques and standards, suggesting that this polarity transition may have taken considerably longer to complete and been more complex than is generally believed for reversals.  相似文献

40Ar/39Ar laser incremental‐heating analyses of 22 individual grains of supergene cryptomelane from three weathering pro?les, up to 400 km apart, in the Rio Doce valley and Barbacena regions at Minas Gerais, Brazil, show that the formation of weathering pro?les in these regions is contemporaneous, suggesting a strong weathering event in the Middle to Late Miocene (10–8 Ma). The preservation of these Miocene samples at or near the present surface suggests that either erosion rates have been very low in the region since the Miocene or that a much thicker weathering mantle was present in the region originally. Assuming a constant thickness of weathering pro?les in the region throughout the Tertiary, we may calculate weathering front propagation rates of 4–8 m Myr?1 during the past 10 Ma.
