Borehole direct current (dc) resistivity problems are solved using finite difference method (FDM) primarily to extend the log interpretation in the two-dimensional (2D) domain. Transitional invaded zone, flushed zone, uncontaminated zone, shoulder beds and borehole filled with mud are simulated simultaneously in the model. Linear variation of resistivity is assumed for transitional invaded zone. Normal, lateral and modified laterolog7 (LL74) electrode configuration (discussed in the text) responses were computed using expanding rectangular grid system. LL74 responses with variable geometric factor did show some superiority over the conventional normal and lateral for conductive target beds sandwiched between the resistive beds. For relatively small borehole diameter, all three probes can detect resistive target bed satisfactorily. However, for highly conductive mud both LL74 and normal electrode configuration fail to detect any signal from the target bed. Bypassing effect of the current for LL74 is more than that in normal log. Lateral log shows a signal of conductive invaded zone generated by the conductive mud. Bucking current ratio peaks and the geometric factor peaks in LL74 can detect the bed boundaries.  相似文献

Invasion of mud filtrate from the borehole into the surrounding formation can significantly alter the response of logging tools.In this paper the neutron tool response was calculated for a gas-bearing rock crossed by the borehole.The invaded zone is characterized by variable fluid and gas saturation and is defined by a specific hyperbolic function. The saturation function is based on the characteristics of Polish Carpathian Foredeep Miocene formations reached in gas-bearing rocks. The whole system including neutron tool equipped with Am-Be neutron source and a set of neutron detectors, borehole, invaded zone, and virgin zone, was numerically modeled and used as the input to the Monte-Carlo neutron transport code. The response of each detector was calculated for different combinations of porosity and saturation of invaded zone and virgin zone.  相似文献

In this paper, responses of a new dual-induction resistivity logging-while-drilling (LWD) tool in 3D inhomogeneous formation models are simulated by the vectorfinite element method (VFEM), the influences of the borehole, invaded zone, surroundingstrata, and tool eccentricity are analyzed, and calibration loop parameters and calibrationcoefficients of the LWD tool are discussed. The results show that the tool has a greater depthof investigation than that of the existing electromagnetic propagation LWD tools and is moresensitive to azimuthal conductivity. Both deep and medium induction responses have linearrelationships with the formation conductivity, considering optimal calibration loop parametersand calibration coefficients. Due to the different depths of investigation and resolution, deepinduction and medium induction are affected differently by the formation model parameters,thereby having different correction factors. The simulation results can provide theoreticalreferences for the research and interpretation of the dual-induction resistivity LWD tools.  相似文献

New Methods for Modeling Laterolog Resistivity Corrections   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0  
The paper presents methods for laterolog response modeling. In Coulomb’s charges method, Laplace’s equation is solved for the electric field distribution in rock medium with internal boundaries between different resistivity layers. There, the boundary problem is reduced to Fred-holm integral equation of the second kind. The second method uses a finite element array to model apparent resistivity from laterolog. The task is treated as DC problem and the Laplace equation is solved numerically. The presented methods were applied to borehole data covering a typical stratigraphie section of the Fore-Sudetic Monocline in southwestern Poland. Apparent resistivity was calculated using the Coulomb’s charges method and alternatively modeled using a finite element method which gave similar results. Then, a series of linear corrections for borehole, shoulder bed, and filtration effects for apparent resistivity obtained by the Coulomb’s charges method demonstrated the feasibility of calculating true resistivity of virgin and invaded zones. The proposed methods provide a flexible solution in modeling which can be adapted to other logs.  相似文献

Basic Laterolog devices employ a measure-current focusing technique to provide well logs of formation resistivity that feature sharp vertical definition combined with a depth of investigation much improved over those of normals of comparable spacings. To develop the concept of measure-current focusing, a disk-electrode arrangement analogous to a guard-ring capacitor is considered first, leading finally to consideration of a real sonde in a cylindrical borehole. In the latter, auxiliary currents are adjusted to maintain substantially at zero the vertical potential gradients above and below the central measure-current electrode; this has the effect of focusing the measure-current beam. However, prediction of sonde responses on the basis of current patterns can in some cases be misleading. Indeed, for a given Laterolog array, one may use a (reciprocalmode) current pattern radically different from the one defined by the basic (direct-mode) measure-current focusing scheme and still obtain the same resistivity measurement. This feature is illustrated for Laterolog 3 by use of transfer impedances, and demonstrated for certain more general cases using the reciprocity theorem. Comparisons of Laterolog responses across typical thin beds, both non-invaded and invaded, with those of normal devices of a comparable range of spacings illustrate the improved vertical resolution obtained with Laterolog devices. The examples also show the different magnitudes of the auxiliary currents (thenceforth designated “bucking”- or “focusing” currents) used in the direct and reciprocal modes and illustrate how these currents must continuously vary in order to maintain the focused condition as the sonde moves through the bed. Finally, briefly considering possible applications of Laterolog-type arrays in surface prospecting, it is shown that a one-dimensional array laid out on the surface does not provide the same degree of measure-current focusing as is obtained in a borehole. Some improvement is obtained with a combination of two crossed linear arrays. Much more is obtained using a circular array.  相似文献

在定向井中,双侧向测井数据由于受井眼、围岩、井斜、径向侵入等环境因素的影响,难以准确地估算储层的电阻率和更准确地识别储层流体.本文拟提出图版法和反演法相结合的思路来研究地层视电阻率的校正问题.首先,针对研究区的测井环境和钻井液电阻率,计算了不同尺寸井眼的双侧向测井响应,绘制了井眼校正图版;然后,针对斜度井地层模型,采用三维有限元方法计算了不同井斜、不同厚度地层的测井响应,构建了井斜-围岩/层厚图版,利用该图版实现了井眼校正和井斜-围岩/层厚的电阻率快速校正.最后,针对钻井液侵入的影响,采用反演方法计算了侵入半径和地层真电阻率,最终实现了双侧向测井的环境校正.利用上述理论与方法对海洋中定向井的双侧向测井资料进行了环境校正,提高了储层流体定性识别和定量评价的精度.  相似文献

针对测井中经常遇到的完全非均匀的地层模型,利用深、浅双侧向测井的视电阻率曲线作为约束条件,给出了反演侵入半径r、原状地层电阻率R、上(下)围岩电阻率Rsu(Rsd)的Newton-SVD反演方法.数值模拟表明这一方法是可行的,经实际资料处理.说明该方法实用.  相似文献

Abstract

The resolution of the freshwater and saline water aquifers in a coastal terrain (Mahanadi Basin, India) is updated. We analysed electrical borehole log data at four sites and compared the water resistivity regime of the freshwater and saline water zones obtained from electrical borehole logging, with the resistivity regime obtained by interpreting vertical electrical sounding (VES) data. The multilayer VES data interpretation is modified to a simple model, containing only the freshwater zone and the saline water zone. The composite geophysical parameters of the freshwater and saline water zones, in particular the resistivity and longitudinal unit conductance regime, are identified. The resolution obtained from the composite geophysical data analyses is very clear and convincing. The composite longitudinal unit conductance regime of the saline water zones is very high compared to that of the freshwater zones. This makes the identification of the two aquifers easy and increases its reliability. A technique which enables analysis of composite geophysical data of freshwater and saline water zones at VES sites in the vicinity of the borehole log sites is proposed. The significance of longitudinal unit conductance in resolving the freshwater and saline water aquifers is illustrated graphically. The proposed technique is validated by correlating the longitudinal unit conductance and resistivity with the total dissolved solids. The efficiency of the technique is validated by carrying out discriminant function analysis.

The use of optimized arrays generated using the ‘Compare R’ method for cross‐borehole resistivity measurements is examined in this paper. We compare the performances of two array optimization algorithms, one that maximizes the model resolution and another that minimizes the point spread value. Although both algorithms give similar results, the model resolution maximization algorithm is several times faster. A study of the point spread function plots for a cross‐borehole survey shows that the model resolution within the central zone surrounded by the borehole electrodes is much higher than near the bottom end of the boreholes. Tests with synthetic and experimental data show that the optimized arrays generated by the ‘Compare R’ method have significantly better resolution than a ‘standard’ measurement sequence used in previous surveys. The resolution of the optimized arrays is less if arrays with both current (or both potential) electrodes in the same borehole are excluded. However, they are still better than the ‘standard’ arrays.  相似文献

地-井瞬变电磁(TEM)方法是在地表发射,探头沿钻孔(井)测量瞬变响应的一种井中物探方法.由于接收探头沿钻孔深人地下,因此能够获得更加可靠的地下目标体信息,尤其当存在低阻覆盖层、浅部矿化等地质干扰,或者勘查深部规模不大之良导矿体时,地-井TEM方法的优势更加明显.相对于磁性源系统,电性源系统发射功率大,辐射面积广,更适合地形复杂地区之深部找矿.本文的目的是研究电性源地-井TEM的近似解释方法,首先给出了层状介质电偶极子在地下的TEM响应,进而通过电偶极子叠加的方式获得了电性源条件下的TEM响应.利用感应磁场与均匀半空间电阻率的单调关系通过反函数定理进行了全域视电阻率定义.理论模型的视电阻率计算结果显示,不同深度测点的视电阻率曲线首支不同,而尾支基本一致.这说明了全域视电阻率是测点周围有限范围内介质的综合反映,所以不同深度测点的视电阻率曲线首支所反映的范围是不同的.绘制了不同时间道视电阻率剖面曲线,以期显示地下电性分布规律.计算结果表明全域视电阻率定义能够基本可靠地反映地下信息,从而为该技术在矿区深部找矿的应用提供有力支持.  相似文献

在现有侧向测井仪器基础上,提出了一种新型贴井壁式阵列方位侧向测井电极系,该仪器能提供径向和周向方位电阻率测量.该电极系采用贴井壁测量方式,提供5种径向探测深度.利用三维有限元方法模拟了阵列方位侧向测井电极系的井眼影响特性、径向探测特性、纵向分层能力、方位分辨能力,并模拟其对井周地层、水平井非对称泥浆侵入和倾斜地层的响应.在导电泥浆中最大探测深度为1.23m,纵向分辨率为0.3m,可以识别出0.1m薄层,方位分辨率为20°.贴井壁测量时,纵向分辨率不受泥浆和围岩电阻率的影响,能够准确测量井周方位电阻率,较不贴井壁测量具有很大优势,同时利用12条方位电阻率曲线能够反映出水平井泥浆非对称侵入特性,倾斜地层倾角和倾斜方向.  相似文献

A combination of magnetotelluric (MT) measurements on the surface and in boreholes (without metal casing) can be expected to enhance resolution and reduce the ambiguity in models of electrical resistivity derived from MT surface measurements alone. In order to quantify potential improvement in inversion models and to aid design of electromagnetic (EM) borehole sensors, we considered two synthetic 2D models containing ore bodies down to 3000 m depth (the first with two dipping conductors in resistive crystalline host rock and the second with three mineralisation zones in a sedimentary succession exhibiting only moderate resistivity contrasts). We computed 2D inversion models from the forward responses based on combinations of surface impedance measurements and borehole measurements such as (1) skin-effect transfer functions relating horizontal magnetic fields at depth to those on the surface, (2) vertical magnetic transfer functions relating vertical magnetic fields at depth to horizontal magnetic fields on the surface and (3) vertical electric transfer functions relating vertical electric fields at depth to horizontal magnetic fields on the surface. Whereas skin-effect transfer functions are sensitive to the resistivity of the background medium and 2D anomalies, the vertical magnetic and electric field transfer functions have the disadvantage that they are comparatively insensitive to the resistivity of the layered background medium. This insensitivity introduces convergence problems in the inversion of data from structures with strong 2D resistivity contrasts. Hence, we adjusted the inversion approach to a three-step procedure, where (1) an initial inversion model is computed from surface impedance measurements, (2) this inversion model from surface impedances is used as the initial model for a joint inversion of surface impedances and skin-effect transfer functions and (3) the joint inversion model derived from the surface impedances and skin-effect transfer functions is used as the initial model for the inversion of the surface impedances, skin-effect transfer functions and vertical magnetic and electric transfer functions. For both synthetic examples, the inversion models resulting from surface and borehole measurements have higher similarity to the true models than models computed exclusively from surface measurements. However, the most prominent improvements were obtained for the first example, in which a deep small-sized ore body is more easily distinguished from a shallow main ore body penetrated by a borehole and the extent of the shadow zone (a conductive artefact) underneath the main conductor is strongly reduced. Formal model error and resolution analysis demonstrated that predominantly the skin-effect transfer functions improve model resolution at depth below the sensors and at distance of \(\sim \) 300–1000 m laterally off a borehole, whereas the vertical electric and magnetic transfer functions improve resolution along the borehole and in its immediate vicinity. Furthermore, we studied the signal levels at depth and provided specifications of borehole magnetic and electric field sensors to be developed in a future project. Our results suggest that three-component SQUID and fluxgate magnetometers should be developed to facilitate borehole MT measurements at signal frequencies above and below 1 Hz, respectively.  相似文献

横向各向同性介质是地层中普遍存在的一种各向异性介质.本文对径向分层TI孔隙介质包围井孔中激发的斯通利波和弯曲波的传播特性进行了理论计算,发现模式波在低频时更多的是反应原状地层的信息,而随着频率的增加侵入带参数逐渐起控制作用;Biot理论描述的地层衰减比速度更容易受井壁附近地层参数的影响.利用灵敏度曲线定量研究了不同频率下地层各个参数对相速度和衰减系数的贡献大小,主要结果显示模式波的衰减受水平渗透率影响明显,而垂直渗透率的变化对模式波几乎无影响;斯通利波对水平向传播的横波速度比弯曲波的灵敏度高.从单极子和偶极子声源在井孔中激发的全波波形也可发现,声波测井仪器较宽的声源频带和合适的源距设置有利于对不同径向深度上的地层声学参数进行成像.  相似文献

We have correlated the longitudinal unit conductance CL obtained from interpreted vertical electrical sounding data with the formation resistivity Rt and the formation resistivity factor F, obtained by carrying out electrical borehole logging. Interpreted geophysical data of eleven soundings and two electrical borehole log records are used for the analysis. The geophysical data used were acquired in a sedimentary basin. The study area is called Lower Maner Basin located in the province of Andhra Pradesh, India. Vertical electrical soundings were carried out using a Schlumberger configuration with half current electrode separation varying from 600–1000 m. For logging the two boreholes, a Widco logger‐model 3200 PLS was used. True formation resistivity Rt was calculated from a resistivity log. Formation resistivity factor F was also calculated at various depths using Rt values. An appreciable inverse relation exists between the correlated parameters. The borehole resistivity Rt and the formation resistivity factor F decrease with the increase in the longitudinal unit conductance CL. We have shown the use of such a relation in computing borehole resistivity Rt and formation resistivity factor F at sites that posses only vertical electrical sounding data, with a fair degree of accuracy. Validation of the correlation is satisfactory. Scope for updating the correlation is discussed. Significance and applications of the relation for exploration of groundwater, namely to update the vertical electrical sounding data interpretation by translating the vertical electrical sounding data into electrical borehole log parameters, to facilitate correlations studies and to estimate the porosity (φ), permeability (K) and water saturation Sw of water bearing zones are discussed.  相似文献

为深入认识裂缝性地层的双侧向测井响应特征,指导裂缝识别及裂缝参数表征,基于数值仿真开展了井旁裂缝的缩小比例物理模拟.在物理模拟平台构建的基础上,用不同浓度的氯化钠溶液模拟基岩,用不同宽度的镀锌板来模拟高导裂缝,实现测量过程的可视化.通过实验分析井旁裂缝的规模、发育位置和产状等因素对深、浅侧向电阻率的影响.研究表明:在仪器有效探测范围内,垂直缝延伸长度对深浅侧向电阻率的数值影响较小;裂缝离井壁越远,双侧向电阻率明显增大,但深浅侧向电阻率值的降低幅度不同;随着裂缝倾角增大,深侧向电阻率增大,浅侧向电阻率无明显变化,深浅侧向电阻率从负幅度差向正幅度差过渡,但临界角的观测十分困难,应用双侧向测井判断地层产状时,需特别注意其适用条件.  相似文献

阵列感应测井资料经常出现与井眼环境有关的质量问题.采用三维矢量有限元法分别在椭圆形井眼、仪器偏心及斜井条件下的阵列感应测井原始响应进行了模拟,并对环境校正和合成聚焦后的数据进行了分析.结果表明,线圈距较短的原始测量信号更易受井眼椭圆度、仪器偏心、泥浆电阻率及与地层电阻率反差的影响;而合成聚焦后的浅探测曲线虽然经过了环境校正和合成聚焦等数据处理,但仍然受这些因素的影响,这反映出阵列感应测井的数据处理是不完善的或采用的校正模型是理想化的;在井斜影响方面,浅探测曲线受井斜角大小影响相对较小,深探测曲线在井斜角为60°以上时受其影响较大而必须进行进一步处理.  相似文献

以高密度电阻率法为主,综合其他方法对"十二五"国家大科学装置项目——ADS项目的场地稳定性进行评价。ADS项目场址位于广东省惠州市惠东县,通过在场区布设多条高密度电法剖面,进行二维反演后绘制电阻率剖面图,结合已有的钻孔和地质资料对其下断层的分布特征进行推断解释,查明场区内的断层产状、风化层厚度、水文地质条件等;并对厂址附近断层在未来地震作用下可能放大震害的问题进行研究,为拟建场区装置的设计和修建提供相关的技术支持。这项综合手段的评估研究可为同类国家重大项目选址时提供参考。  相似文献

随着复杂油气田的广泛勘探,对测井技术提出了新的要求,阵列感应电阻率的出现可得到较准确的地层真电阻率,但我国的阵列感应电阻率测井仪主要依赖进口,限制了我测井不能在与仪器供给商有利益冲突的国家或地区进行同类作业服务.本文介绍了5频等参数阵列相位感应电阻率测井仪器原理、设计流程,与常规感应电阻率、俄罗斯VIKIZ测井资料的对比.阵列相位差感应电阻率测井仪较好的解决了常规感应测井仪器中存在的纵向分辨率差、径向探测深度浅、井眼影响大、不能解决复杂侵入剖面等问题,具有较好的分辨能力,适合于水淹层测井、薄层测井、剩余油测井.  相似文献

A hydrogeophysical survey is performed at small earthen dam that overlies a confined aquifer. The structure of the dam has not shown evidence of anomalous seepage internally or through the foundation prior to the survey. However, the surface topography is mounded in a localized zone 150 m downstream, and groundwater discharges from this zone periodically when the reservoir storage is maximum. We use self‐potential and electrical resistivity tomography surveys with seismic refraction tomography to (1) determine what underlying hydrogeologic factors, if any, have contributed to the successful long‐term operation of the dam without apparent indicators of anomalous seepage through its core and foundation; and (2) investigate the hydraulic connection between the reservoir and the seepage zone to determine whether there exists a potential for this success to be undermined. Geophysical data are informed by hydraulic and geotechnical borehole data. Seismic refraction tomography is performed to determine the geometry of the phreatic surface. The hydro‐stratigraphy is mapped with the resistivity data and groundwater flow patterns are determined with self‐potential data. A self‐potential model is constructed to represent a perpendicular profile extending out from the maximum cross‐section of the dam, and self‐potential data are inverted to recover the groundwater velocity field. The groundwater flow pattern through the aquifer is controlled by the bedrock topography and a preferential flow pathway exists beneath the dam. It corresponds to a sandy‐gravel layer connecting the reservoir to the downstream seepage zone.  相似文献

电流线分布是评价双侧向测井仪器探测性能的一种辅助手段.通常采用基于电位的有限元数值模拟方法,通过对电位的微分获得电流线的分布,这种处理方法引入了额外误差.为解决此问题,本文提出了一种基于周向磁场强度的有限元方法,通过对视电阻率和电流线的数值模拟验证了新方法的正确性,且新方法在计算电流线方面优于电位法.在此基础上,针对泥浆低侵和高侵两种情况,模拟了深浅侧向测井的视电阻率响应和电流线的分布,分析了侵入带对双侧向测井响应的影响规律.  相似文献
