The effect of rotation on two elastic real earth models and the equivalent fluid earth models has been investigated. The present angular velocity has resulted in the increase of the surface radius by about 0.7 km for a real earth and 1.02 km for a liquid earth. The corresponding ellipticities are 0.1052·10?2 and 0.3329·10?2, respectively. A surprising result is that the solid inner core of a real-earth model becomes slightly prolate under uniform rotation while the rest of the earth is oblate.  相似文献

地下固体介质弹性模量是固体地球定量表征的重要参数,是探测地球内部结构、地下流体分布、设计合理工程方案的关键之一.本文首先简要分析常用的流体饱和孔隙介质岩石物理模型,在此基础上通过数值计算,详细讨论了流体饱和多孔介质等效弹性模量对固体基质、孔隙度、孔隙结构和孔隙流体的敏感性,探讨了利用等效介质弹性模量反演固体基质弹性模量的可行性,建立了固体基质弹性模量的非线性方程系统,提出了该方程系统的数值迭代求解方法,并通过对三类岩石样本实验室测量数据的反演和结果分析,验证了方法的有效性.文中同时通过不同条件下对实验数据的反演,探讨了孔隙结构、孔隙流体和等效介质弹性模量对反演效果的影响,为方法的合理有效应用提供依据.  相似文献

The allowance for the influence of a vertical contact is evaluated on Wenner resistivity sounding curves, which are graphically constructed on bilogarithmic paper over simple composite earth models consisting of a vertical contact separating two- or three layered earth on one side and a homogeneous medium on the other side. The error incurred in the graphical constructions is explored. Finally, the use of these graphically constructed sounding curves is shown in the interpretation of two Wenner field soundings measured in a complex geologic area.  相似文献

在计算面波频散问题的广义反射-透射系数方法基础上研究了含有低速层的均匀平层固体地球模型的面波的频散曲线以及简正振型的计算问题. 当不存在低速层时,仅利用陈晓非1993年提出的单一的久期函数对求解这两个问题已经足够. 但是当模型中存在低速层时,该单一久期函数在数值求解较低阶模式很困难. 本文提出用久期函数族代替该单一久期函数、对不同的简正振型模式采用对应的久期函数来求解的方法,从而更加容易有效地求解较低阶的模式,完善了利用广义反射-透射系数方法求解面波频散问题的理论和算法.  相似文献

本文对先后安装在营口地震台的伸缩仪和分量钻孔应变仪的同步观测数据进行了比对和分析。以地球应变固体潮为参照,确定两种应变观测数据基本一致。证明这两种基线长度和安装方式不同的仪器,观测到的地层应变在固体潮频段具有可比性。  相似文献

Solutions are derived for the potential distributions over one-layer and two-layer random conductivity earth models for the direct current resistivity method. Monopole and Wenner arrays are considered. It is shown that the random potential due to a spatially stationary Gaussian random conductivity is also Gaussian but not spatially stationary. The ensemble and sample statistics of the random kernel and apparent resistivity are examined. Representative curves of these functions are presented to show the effects of a random conductivity profile on them. It is shown that the effect of the random nature of the conductivity profile on an apparent resistivity sounding curve is greatest for small electrode spacings.  相似文献

地震体波走时层析成像是探测地球内部速度结构的重要方法之一。基于三维块状建模以及三角形拼接的界面描述方式,结合快速高效的逐段迭代射线追踪方法,获得三维复杂地质模型中的地震射线路径与走时信息,采用共轭梯度非线性反演算法,进行地震波走时反演。实验结果表明共轭梯度反演算法在三维层状模型中具有较高的有效性。  相似文献

直接从时间域出发 ,应用时域有限差分方法 (FDTD)分析地下和地面的瞬变响应。由于二维情况便于图形表示 ,采取了线源二维地电模型。通过对二层均匀地电结构和含二维低阻体时地面垂直感生电动势曲线的计算 ,说明瞬变场响应有滞后现象 ,即异常地质体一旦引起瞬变响应 ,就会往后延时 ,并使响应延续较长时间。在实际的工程勘察中 ,曾用 3~ 5ms以后的延迟时间探测过较浅的异常体 ,如 2 0m至 150m深度范围内的地下老窑采空区 ,并取得了较好的探测效果 ,上述数字模拟结果为以往的实践提供了理论依据  相似文献

A lattice Boltzmann (LB) model is proposed for simulating fluid flow in porous media by allowing the aggregates of finer-scale pores and solids to be treated as ‘equivalent media’. This model employs a partially bouncing-back scheme to mimic the resistance of each aggregate, represented as a gray node in the model, to the fluid flow. Like several other lattice Boltzmann models that take the same approach, which are collectively referred to as gray lattice Boltzmann (GLB) models in this paper, it introduces an extra model parameter, ns, which represents a volume fraction of fluid particles to be bounced back by the solid phase rather than the volume fraction of the solid phase at each gray node. The proposed model is shown to conserve the mass even for heterogeneous media, while this model and that model of Walsh et al. (2009) [1], referred to the WBS model thereafter, are shown analytically to recover Darcy–Brinkman’s equations for homogenous and isotropic porous media where the effective viscosity and the permeability are related to ns and the relaxation parameter of LB model. The key differences between these two models along with others are analyzed while their implications are highlighted. An attempt is made to rectify the misconception about the model parameter ns being the volume fraction of the solid phase. Both models are then numerically verified against the analytical solutions for a set of homogenous porous models and compared each other for another two sets of heterogeneous porous models of practical importance. It is shown that the proposed model allows true no-slip boundary conditions to be incorporated with a significant effect on reducing errors that would otherwise heavily skew flow fields near solid walls. The proposed model is shown to be numerically more stable than the WBS model at solid walls and interfaces between two porous media. The causes to the instability in the latter case are examined. The link between these two GLB models and a generalized Navier–Stokes model [2] for heterogeneous but isotropic porous media are explored qualitatively. Geological processes at trench-arc-back arc systems are some of the most complex tectonic processes in need of study. A large amount of data based on geological and geophysical observations has been accumulated. To synthesize these data, mathematical models have proven to be very useful. Because geological processes are directly related to the dynamical behavior of the solid earth, many of them can be investigated in terms of fluid flow models. Some applications of fluid flow principles in studying tectonic processes at convergent plate boundaries are discussed in this paper. When mantle processes are modeled as convective systems, they are found to have direct implications for the determination of slab dip angles. Additionally, they can also account for the high heat flows in the back arc basins, provide a mechanism for back arc opening, and resolve the question whether subducted oceanic crust can reach melting at shallow depth for island arc magma generation. Besides mantle processes, flow models can also be used to study surface processes. A simple one-parameter plane flow theory is used to model the evolution of trench geometries. This model is able to fit simulataneously the trench curvature and the differential paleomagnetic rotation between volcanic islands for the Mariana. Despite the simplicity of many of these models, their ability to synthesize geological and geophysical data at convergent plate boundaries is quite remarkable.  相似文献

负荷潮汐改正与地壳上地幔结构有密切关系,主要原因是负荷潮汐取决于高阶勒夫数。利用较新的1066A地球模型,对负荷勒夫数进行了重新推算,并依据负荷勒夫数组成重力、倾斜、应变及位移格林函数。发现在近区用1066A模型和经典的G-B模型求出的格林函数值差别较大。据此,推估出不同地球模型对负荷潮汐改正的影响,其中远区估算按解析方法进行,近区由数值法进行。  相似文献

基于地震、土壤温度和降水资料,从地球系统各圈层相互作用的观点分析了1998年夏季长江和嫩江流域特大洪涝灾害的成因,探讨了地球固体圈层热力活动对大气圈异常事件的激发作用. 分析表明深层(3.2m)土壤温度场与同期降水场的分布有很好的一致性,同时降水过程对下垫面脉冲性热扰动有较为敏感的响应. 文中还讨论了土壤热力异常影响大气降水的物理机制.  相似文献

利用中国数字地震台网 (CDSN)改造后的7个台站的VHZ波形资料, 采用功率谱密度估计方法, 利用中国数字地震台网地震仪对低频信号压制的特点, 在没有对资料去除固体潮影响的情况下, 提取了2001年11月14日昆仑山口西地震激发的0S4~0S76地球球型自由振荡, 并与地球初步参考模型(PREM)的理论自由振荡周期进行对比, 结果表明与PREM预测的球型自由振荡周期符合得很好。 该地震的地球自由振荡信息, 可用于地震震源机制研究和地球内部结构研究。  相似文献

Tidal forces due to the tide-raising potential deform the solid and fluid regions of the Earth, causing the Earth's inertia tensor to change, and hence causing the Earth's rate of rotation and length-of-day to change. Because both the tide-raising potential and the solid Earth's elastic response to the tidal forces caused by this potential are well-known, accurate models for the effects of the elastic solid body tides on the Earth's rotation are available. However, models for the effect of the ocean tides on the Earth's rotation are more problematic because of the need to model the dynamic response of the oceans to the tidal forces. Hydrodynamic ocean tide models that have recently become available are evaluated here for their ability to account for long-period ocean tidal signals in length-of-day observations. Of the models tested here, the older altimetric data-constrained model of Kantha et al. (1998) is shown to still do the best job of accounting for ocean tidal effects in length-of-day, particularly at the fortnightly tidal frequency. The model currently recommended by the IERS is shown to do the worst job.  相似文献

As one of the few deep-earth imaging techniques, magnetotellurics provides information on both the structure and physical state of the crust and upper mantle. Magnetotellurics is sensitive to electrical conductivity, which varies within the earth by many orders of magnitude and is modified by a range of earth processes. As with all geophysical techniques, magnetotellurics has a non-unique inverse problem and has limitations in resolution and sensitivity. As such, an integrated approach, either via the joint interpretation of independent geophysical models, or through the simultaneous inversion of independent data sets is valuable, and at times essential to an accurate interpretation. Magnetotelluric data and models are increasingly integrated with geological, geophysical and geochemical information. This review considers recent studies that illustrate the ways in which such information is combined, from qualitative comparisons to statistical correlation studies to multi-property inversions. Also emphasized are the range of problems addressed by these integrated approaches, and their value in elucidating earth structure, physical state, and processes.  相似文献

Conventional surface wave inversion for shallow shear (S)-wave velocity relies on the generation of dispersion curves of Rayleigh waves. This constrains the method to only laterally homogeneous (or very smooth laterally heterogeneous) earth models. Waveform inversion directly fits waveforms on seismograms, hence, does not have such a limitation. Waveforms of Rayleigh waves are highly related to S-wave velocities. By inverting the waveforms of Rayleigh waves on a near-surface seismogram, shallow S-wave velocities can be estimated for earth models with strong lateral heterogeneity. We employ genetic algorithm (GA) to perform waveform inversion of Rayleigh waves for S-wave velocities. The forward problem is solved by finite-difference modeling in the time domain. The model space is updated by generating offspring models using GA. Final solutions can be found through an iterative waveform-fitting scheme. Inversions based on synthetic records show that the S-wave velocities can be recovered successfully with errors no more than 10% for several typical near-surface earth models. For layered earth models, the proposed method can generate one-dimensional S-wave velocity profiles without the knowledge of initial models. For earth models containing lateral heterogeneity in which case conventional dispersion-curve-based inversion methods are challenging, it is feasible to produce high-resolution S-wave velocity sections by GA waveform inversion with appropriate priori information. The synthetic tests indicate that the GA waveform inversion of Rayleigh waves has the great potential for shallow S-wave velocity imaging with the existence of strong lateral heterogeneity.  相似文献

Many factors can cause changes of groundwater level, such as the development process of an earthquake, rainfall, solid earth tides etc. Among these we are interested in information regarding earthquake development processes. Eliminating the influence of various disturbance factors is an effective way to obtain seismic development process information contained in the groundwater level. This paper provides two different ways to remove the rainfall effect, and compares the two methods by means of correlation analysis. Furthermore, based on these a logistic regression model is established to describe the seismicity level.  相似文献
