He graduated from Sofia University,majoring in physics(meteorology)(1956)andreceived his first scientific degree(“candidate of sciences”)in 1959.Six years later(1965)he received Dr.Sc.degree in the USSR with a thesis on large scale atmospheric turbulenceand statistical macrostructure of meteorological fields.Since 1959 he has been a member of the Dept.of Meteorology and Geophysics,Univ.of Sofia and professor——head of this department since 1974.Prof.Panchev teaches regu-larly courses in general and dynamic meteorology and he has written textbooks on thesesubjects,the second one of them being published also in English by D.Reidel in 1985.  相似文献

Ever since 1984, the Journal Of Tropical Meteorology (Chinese version ), an academic journal devoted to the field in China, has been in continuous circulation for 12 years. Up to the present stage, however, it has stopped short of fully playing the role of international exchanges due to language barriers. For foreign colleagues who are interested in the research and advances of tropical meteorology in China,the official publication of the journal in English version, which comes after a period of preparation, is designed to make it things of the past to get informed from just a few lines of English Abstracts. On behalf of the Guangzhou Regional Meteorological Center and subordinate institutions of operation and scientific research, I would like to exploit the occasion to express my warm congratulations to its publication!Tropical meteorology is one of the important branches of the whole atmospheric sciences. The state and changes in the tropical atmosphere have essential influence on the weather and climate across our planet. The advance in the research of tropical meteorology has become a subject equally concerned by the community in many nations. I think that the all--English Journal of TrOPical Meteorology will help colleagues overseas to know more of China's achievements in the field on a timely basis. In the meantime, I also welcome the interested writers abroad to present academic papers of their own in this journal and make common efforts to operate it so that the science of tropical meteorology better contributes to the well--being of every people.  相似文献

文章利用多项式法将气候耗能量从能源消费总量中分离出来,用统计分析的方法探讨了气候耗能量与气候因子之间的关系及其变化。研究表明:从20世纪50年代到80年代初期,旱涝灾害是影响我国气候耗能量的主要气候因子,它们之间存在显著的线性相关关系,随着经济的发展和人民生活水平的提高,旱涝灾害对气候耗能量的影响逐渐减弱,气温对气候耗能量的影响日趋显著,目前正处于过渡时期。  相似文献

黄士松先生出生于1920年10月27日,系我国著名的气象学家和气象教育家、新中国气象事业的奠基人之一。他从事气象科学研究六十余载,始终面向世界气象科学前沿,立足中国天气气候实际,围绕大气环流与灾害性天气气候问题,在大气环流成因、副热带高压变动规律、平流层与对流层环流联系、南北半球环流联系、东亚夏季风体系结构和暴雨台风重大灾害性天气过程等诸多研究领域取得了开创性、前瞻性和系统性成果。他提出了诸多新发现、新理论、新观点和新方法,均具有重大学术与实践指导意义,为丰富天气学、气候学及提高中国天气预报和气候预测水平作出了重要学术贡献。值此黄士松先生百年诞辰之际,本文从大气环流、副热带高压、东亚夏季风及暴雨和台风4个方面对先生的主要学术成就进行了回顾,以此纪念和缅怀他对气象科学的重要学术贡献。  相似文献

分析了低纬高原水稻生长独有的气候特点,将云南省不同地区的水稻产量与水稻生育期气象条件进行积分回归数植模拟分析,得出各地水稻气候敏感性综合数学表达式,区域划分指标以及空间分布规律。同时分析影响云南水稻产量的主要气候敏感因子和关键气候敏感期,并讨论了适应当地气候特点的水稻栽培要点。  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The science of understanding severe thunderstorms and developing techniques for their prediction is relatively young, with most fundamental research having been carried out only during the last 75 years. Though it is not widely known, Canada has played an important role in such research and development, and some of Canada’s atmospheric scientists have been pioneers globally in a number of areas. This brief review attempts to describe the full breadth of the Canadian contribution, with sections dedicated to radar meteorology, field studies, laboratory work, and forecasting. Key areas requiring further investment in order to improve our understanding and predictive skill are also identified.  相似文献

This article reviews Fuqing ZHANG’s contributions to mesoscale atmospheric science,from research to mentoring to academic service,over his 20-year career.His fundamental scientific contributions on predictability,data assimilation,and dynamics of high impact weather,especially gravity waves and tropical cyclones,are highlighted.His extremely generous efforts to efficiently transmit to the community new scientific knowledge and ideas through mentoring,interacting,workshop organizing,and reviewing are summarized.Special appreciation is given to his tremendous contributions to the development of mesoscale meteorology in China and the education of Chinese graduate students and young scientists.  相似文献

近30年来,多元统计分析方法有了长足的进步,涌现出不少新方法、新技术。文章着重介绍了近30年来气象统计预报在中国气象业务科研中的一些应用和发展,主要从多元统计分析和时间序列分析上来选材,将非统计意义的模糊集方法、人工智能(人工神经网络等)、灰色系统、车贝雪夫多项式展开等也归入到统计方法中。另外,近年来气象界用得较多的卡尔曼滤波、分形、分维等也被涉及。  相似文献

Based on the geographical circumstance, climate and the boundary layer meteorology features of the Pearl River Delta, a boundary layer concept model of the Pearl River Delta was built. The concept model consists of four fundamental factors that affect the boundary layer meteorology of the Pearl River Delta and can convincingly explain the reason of the air quality change in the Pearl River Delta. The model can be used to the diffusion capability analysis, the air pollution potential forecasting or haze forecasting, etc.  相似文献

There is a growing scholarship on the role of the amateur, and amateur societies, in the production and circulation of weather and climate knowledge in the past. Yet relatively little attention has been paid to the actual and potential contribution of contemporary amateur meteorologists in this respect. In this paper we first examine the importance of the amateur historically in the production of local weather knowledge and also in the emergence of professional meteorology. Drawing on semi-structured interviews with members of one contemporary UK based amateur meteorological organisation??the Climatological Observers Link (COL)??we then investigate the nature and extent of contemporary amateur meteorologists?? contributions to a wide range of different ??publics?? today, which include both popular and professional communities. Finally, we interrogate our interview data to identify whether COL members themselves recognise a wider role for their expertise at a time of increasing popular and scientific interest in weather and climate and in an era when the inclusion of non-certified experts in policy decision making processes is being advocated.  相似文献

探讨了以灾害样本为集值的基于信息扩散的模糊数学理论模型的气象灾害风险评价方法,利用西北五省区主要农作物旱灾面积资料,对西北农业旱灾进行风险评价实例分析,通过比较表明西北农业受旱指数,成灾指数发生灾损的概率风险估计值与实际农业旱灾较吻合,该方法对灾害样本少以及小区域范围的灾害风险评价也较适合。  相似文献
