风蚀地表释放的粉尘气溶胶在其输送和沉积过程中产生的直接和间接环境效应促进了对其释放和沉积机制的研究.随着土壤风蚀研究的发展,对粉尘释放机制有了较为深入地研究,从简单的经验方程模型发展到目前考虑粉尘释放微观过程的具有清晰物理机制的释放模型,并在大尺度沙尘预报研究中得到了广泛应用.粉尘沉积主要集中于对干沉积和云下清除过程的研究,而对云内清除过程认识不足.简要回顾了粉尘释放和沉积机制研究的发展历史,系统地评述了研究的现状,提出了粉尘释放和沉积模拟研究中存在的问题和今后的发展趋势.  相似文献

Field experiments of aeolian dust accumulation on rock fragment substrata   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
The effect of rock fragments and rock fragment cover on the accumulation of airborne dust was examined in a long-term field experiment in the Negev desert of Israel. Four parameters were studied: pebble eccentricity, pebble size, pebble flattening and cover density. The effect of these parameters on the accumulation of dust on the pebbles, on the accumulation of dust between and underneath the pebbles, and on total dust accumulation (pebbles+interpebble space) was measured separately. Accumulation on the pebbles increased as the pebbles became larger, less flattened and more elongated, and as cover density increased. Accumulation between and underneath the pebbles increased as the pebbles became smaller, more flattened and more elongated, and as cover density increased (although the accumulation area available became smaller). Total dust accumulation increased as the pebbles became smaller, more flattened and more elongated, and as cover density increased. Rock fragments act as a dust trap as dust accumulation on pebble-covered surfaces is several tens of times larger than dust accumulation on similar but pebble-free surfaces. However, less than 20% of the initially settled dust is protected from further erosion. In the Negev desert, dust erosion by wind is of the order of 10 times larger than dust erosion by water. The rate of long-term dust accumulation in the Negev is of the order of 15–30 g.m?2.yr?1. This is considerably lower than the rates proposed elsewhere in the literature, which are based upon over optimistic dust retainment percentages.  相似文献

The deposition of natural dust in an area of 53 ha, situated in the northern Negev desert, is investigated in detail both in the wind tunnel (dust storm simulations over a topographic scale model) and in the field. The wind tunnel results and the field results show a high degree of agreement, indicating that scale-model simulation may be considered an important technique for future loess and desert research. More dust settles on windward slopes than on leeward slopes, which is in contradistinction with the widespread wind shadow concept. Air-flow separation zones immediately downwind of steep windward slopes have an important impact on dust deposition too. In the case of dust deposition on topographic scale models, a restricted height distortion of the model will not necessarily lead to serious problems. In addition, wind tunnel blockage percentages up to 13% may be allowed in order to obtain acceptable dust deposition patterns for the scale model. A mean gross dust deposition of about 200–250 g m?2 year?1 is calculated for the northern Negev desert for 1987. Thus, if the settled dust can be protected against erosion in the cultivated areas in the Negev, the dust content of the top soil will markedly increase with time. However, it has to be borne in mind that cultivation activities themselves may also contribute to a higher soil erosion and, hence, to a higher dust content in the atmosphere. At any rate, a higher dust content in the top soil will unquestionably have an important positive effect on agricultural yields. From the air dust concentration data and the dust deposition data, a deposition velocity of 4.7cms?1 can be calculated for Avdat dust.  相似文献

本文对2002年3月20~21日发生在北京地区的一次尘暴过程进行了降尘量和降尘粒度的研究。通过对分时段监测取得的13组降尘样品进行降尘量和粒度测定,结合风速变化情况,可将本次尘暴分为尘暴前期和尘暴后期两个过程。降尘量和粒度参数值在尘暴前期和后期都呈现不同特征。结论认为,风速是降尘量变化的重要因素。当风速进一步增大时,降尘量反而有所下降。说明北京地区尘暴降尘量除受本地风速影响外,还与粉尘浓度等特征有关。尘暴降尘的粒度基本呈双峰态分布。本次尘暴初始降尘主要为细粒径颗粒,尘暴前期降尘粒径随风速而变化,尘暴后期降尘粒径基本维持在5~6之间  相似文献

The study of dust deposition records in geological history is of great significance to the study of paleoclimate evolution during deep periods. Because dust can directly influence the biochemical processes and climate evolution of the Earth. However, the absence of quantitative data on dust limits the systematic and comprehensive study of paleoclimate evolution during deep periods. Prior to the Quaternary period, most quantitative studies on atmospheric dust have focused on the Permian era. However, in the entire Mesozoic era, there are still no quantitative data available on atmospheric dust deposition rates. We utilized the average concentration of inorganic matter in coal from the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods to depict the dust concentration and corresponding dust deposition rate in the atmospheric system during these periods. We also conducted a correlation analysis using the distribution of arid source areas. The results show that the values of ash concentration and dust deposition rates are higher near the arid provenance and lower far away from it. Furthermore, in this study, we have compared the latitudinal variation gradient of dust deposition rates under the icehouse and greenhouse climates by using the end of the Permian and Quaternary as representatives of icehouse climate and the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods as representatives of the greenhouse climate. Our findings indicate that there is a higher ash concentration, dust deposition rate, and dust deposition rate variation gradient in the air under the icehouse climate, while there is a lower ash concentration, dust deposition rate, and dust deposition rate gradient in the air under the greenhouse climate. We have also discussed the dust sources during the Mesozoic period, as well as the differences in ash data under greenhouse and icehouse conditions. This provides a strong basis for studying the atmospheric environment after the modern climate entered the ice age.  相似文献

吉林省典型城市大气颗粒物主要排放源成分谱对比研究   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
为建立吉林省典型城市大气颗粒物排放源源成分谱数据库,保障源解析结果的准确性,采用X射线荧光光谱分析技术对典型城市大气颗粒物主要排放源(道路尘、扬尘、建筑尘、土壤风沙尘、燃煤锅炉尘)的无机化学组分进行分析。结果表明:吉林市、白城市、通化市和四平市4个城市排放源成分谱组分含量虽有不同,但主量成分均为地壳组分;SiO2含量在土壤风沙尘中最高,道路尘中最低,Ca含量在建筑尘中最高。元素富集因子分析表明:人类活动对道路尘元素Pb的富集贡献较大,主要来自汽车尾气排放;扬尘元素Pb、Zn、As有较高富集,具有道路尘、燃煤锅炉尘特征;建筑尘元素Ca富集显著;土壤风沙尘受人类活动影响较小,主要为自然源贡献;燃煤锅炉尘中元素As富集因子>60,属极强扰动。  相似文献

依据清代《翁同龢日记》中天气状况的描述,整理出公元1860~1898年间逐月的沙尘天气日数,基于记录完整月份的沙尘天气日数,统计分析了公元1860~1898年北京沙尘天气日数的平均状况和变化特征。分析发现公元1860~1898年,北京年均沙尘天气记录为10.4天,即使不考虑与现代观测记录标准的差别,亦肯定高于1990年代7.7天/年的平均频次;春季是沙尘天气的高发季节,其占全年沙尘日数的百分比达到70%,其中4月和5月两个月的接近53%;其次为冬季,占20%。与公元1961~2000年相比,公元1860~1898年的春季沙尘天气日数百分比偏高10.9%,沙尘天气在春季的集中程度明显偏高。公元1860~1898年间,年沙尘日数和春季沙尘日数均呈波动减少之势;研究时段内,共出现23次2天以上连续(或持续)的沙尘天气过程,最长的一次持续了4天。这些发现将有益于研究气候变化对沙尘天气影响和分析北京沙尘天气的演变规律。  相似文献

Studies on composition and distribution of dust deposition are necessary for the risk assessment of dust to atmospheric quality. We studied the vertical distribution pattern of dust and metal (Cu, Fe, Pb, Zn) deposition up to 33 m height in urban environment. Integrated geochemical, mineralogical and magnetic study of the seasonally sampled dust helped to specify our knowledge on the use of magnetic susceptibility for tracking its deposition. Harmful dust and metal deposition may occur even at great heights and at the low-traffic side of buildings. Re-suspension of local surface materials dominates the dust deposition primarily in summer and spring due to weather conditions, and it may overwrite the influence of recent anthropogenic activities on dust composition. The accepted air-flow models should be modified by taking the local conditions (weather, morphology, etc.) into account. All studied metals showed strong enrichment in the dust and could be characterized by similar vertical deposition pattern to dust. The total susceptibility was found to be much more useful proxy for tracking dust and metal deposition than mass-specific susceptibility. Using the former, potential errors arising from sampling practice of settled dust could be eliminated. The most important heavy-metal-bearing phases were iron oxides and clay minerals. Their different behavior during the dust deposition is reflected by the vertical metal distribution patterns. Clay minerals originate primarily from re-suspension and may be one of the most important sources of potentially mobile heavy metals in such materials.  相似文献

The Alxa Plateau has one of the highest frequencies of dust events in China and one of the greatest contributions to East Asian dust. We compiled climate and dust storm data for the Alxa Plateau based on observational data from ten meteorological stations from 1960 to 2005. Our analysis showed that Guaizihu and Minqin dust centers had >26 days per year with dust storms versus 7–13 days for other desert and Gobi regions on the plateau. Variations in dust storm frequency during the study period showed that dust storms increased during the 1960s (until 1972), decreased until the late 1990s, and then increased slightly until 2002. About 75.6% of dust storms occurred in March, April, May, June, and July. Between 78.2 and 88.1% of the dust storms occurred during the daytime and 28.9% of the dust storms occurred between 13:00 and 16:00. The mean durations of dust storms in the Alxa Plateau ranged from 715 to 3,462 min. The annual number of minutes of dust storms averaged >1,800 min in the western Alxa Plateau. Dust storm frequency was inversely related to duration: the longer the average duration, the lower the frequency of such storms.  相似文献

In order to know the particle size distribution and mineral compositions of dust in Maiji town, Tianshui City, Gansu Province, size distribution and physical compositions of atmosphere natural dropping dust have been analyzed. Based on the natural dropping dust ζ potential and the mass percentage of main mineral compositions in dust fall, we present two models (calculation method and hybrid method) for the zeta potential of atmospheric dust fall in pure water. The results illustrated that the natural dropping dust in Maiji town belongs to inhalable particles. The main mineral compositions and contents of the dust are quartz (57.08%), calcite (27.79%), albite (10.29%), muscovite (4.84%). Atmospheric dust fall in pure water is electronegativity and ζ potential decreased with increasing pH. There are some differences exist in the two modeling ways, but have a similar tendency. The zeta potential differences between natural dropping dust and modeling dust reflects the zeta potential contribution rate of main mineral particles in dust and the effect of trace polarity organic pollutants or other minerals.  相似文献

The paper addresses influence of dust particles on the aerosol loading over the major deserts in the northern hemisphere. The role of dust aerosols in the total aerosol concentration and size distribution of the particles are analysed. It is observed that the aerosol loading is high in the northern hemisphere of which the deserts and adjoining areas in Asia and Africa play a leading role. Over the entire oceanic region, except some parts of the Atlantic Ocean near to the West coast of Africa and the Arabian Sea, aerosol loading is less. The Sahara Desert is the prominent source of dust aerosols throughout the year. The deserts of Asia are also prominent sources of dust aerosols on a global basis. Above 70% of the total aerosol optical depth (AOD) is contributed by the dust particles, reaching to around 90% during spring months March, April and May over the Sahara Desert, which is the major source of dust aerosols. Goddard Chemistry Aerosol Radiation and Transport model is used to estimate the dust aerosol concentration over the deserts of Asia and Africa. The model output almost agrees with the regions of dust loading obtained from the Envisat/SCIAMACHY. Hence, the model is reliable in estimating the dust aerosol loading over the major dust aerosol sources. The major portion of the total dust loading belongs to coarse mode particles.  相似文献

Gobi is one of the most important landscapes in northwest China, and it is also one of the dust sources in north China and even in central Asia. Based on the different land surface characteristics on the gobi surface, sand and dust emission process and mechanism are obviously different with other landscapes, such as sandy desert. Dust emission process and mechanism on the gobi surface were analyzed in this paper. Wind power system, geomorphology pattern and underlying characteristics were considered for their effect on the sand and dust emission process. Then, the mechanism of land surface characteristics on threshold wind velocity was analyzed. Finally, based on the previous studies on dust emission and mechanism, and in combination with the regional and global requirement, we suggested that the land surface characteristics parameterization, identification of the dust sources and sediment emission mechanism should be the main issues in the future gobi sand and dust research.  相似文献

Kuwait is an arid country with an annual average rainfall of about 110 to 120 mm. Hence, dust storms have become a common environmental crisis. Although the dry summer months commonly have more dust storms, in recent years, dust storms occur more frequently in the spring season as well. Accumulated data of dust storms in Kuwait for the past 14 years (2001–2014) showed that the month of March had the highest number of dust storms (total 19), which is rather unusual, with an average of 8 dust storms per year (year 2008 had the highest dust storms of total 22). This study explored four socioeconomic effects of dust storms in Kuwait, specifically traffic accident rates, oil export loss due to close out of marine terminals, airline delays due to airport operation shutdown, and agriculture degradation. Statistical analysis using t test and Pearson correlation showed no apparent relationship between dust storms and traffic accident rates or agricultural production; however, loss of oil export and flight delay cost were affected by dust storms. There has been very few published research on the socioeconomic impact of dust storms; this is the first paper that explores the detailed socioeconomic effect of dust storms in Kuwait.  相似文献

Atmospheric mineral dust aerosols affect Earth’s radiative balance and are an important climate forcing and feedback mechanism. Dust is argued to have played an important role in past natural climate changes through glacial cycles, yet temporal and spatial dust variability remain poorly constrained, with scientific understanding of uncertainties associated with radiative perturbations due to mineral dust classified as “very low”. To advance understanding of the dust cycle, we present a high-resolution dust record from the Red Sea, sourced principally from Arabia, with a precise chronology relative to global sea level/ice volume variability. Our record correlates well with a high-resolution Asian dust record from the Chinese Loess Plateau. Importing our age model from the Red Sea to the Chinese Loess Plateau provides a first detailed millennial-scale age model for the Chinese loess, which has been notoriously difficult to date at this resolution and provides a basis for inter-regional correlation of Chinese dust records. We observe a high baseline of dust emissions from Arabia and China, even through interglacials, with strong superimposed millennial-scale variability. Conversely, the distal EPICA Dome C Antarctic ice core record, which is widely used to calculate the radiative impact of dust variations, appears biased to sharply delineated glacial/interglacial contrasts. Calculations based on this Antarctic dust record will therefore overestimate the radiative contrast of atmospheric dust loadings on glacial/interglacial timescales. Additional differences between Arabian/Asian and circum-Saharan records reveal that climate models could be improved by avoiding ‘global mean’ dust considerations and instead including large-scale regions with different dust source variability.  相似文献

研究沙尘暴对我国北方地区的生态环境建设和可持续发展有着重要意义。近10年来,我国北方地区的沙尘暴天气呈现增长的趋势,相关学科都从不同侧面展开对沙尘暴的研究。主要综述了国内外利用卫星遥感技术研究沙尘暴的进展。对沙尘暴的国内外研究历史和现状进行了简要回顾,然后系统地介绍了应用遥感技术开展沙尘暴研究的数据源及其特点、原理和技术方法,其中,对沙尘暴遥感研究的技术方法给予了更为详细的介绍,最后针对现有研究的不足,对未来沙尘暴遥感研究的方向进行了展望。  相似文献

Windblown dust originating in China and Mongolia causes health effects and agricultural damage in its source areas and causes Asian dust events in Japan. An early warning system that could be combined with weather forecasts would be helpful in preventing serious damage. However, it is difficult to specify source areas of dust with current dust modeling systems because land surface information, including vegetation coverage and land surface soil water content, is inadequate. To find and monitor dust source regions, a semi-real-time dust erodibility map was developed based on MODIS satellite data that focuses particularly on the threshold wind speed in a target area of northeast Asia including China and Mongolia (35°–50°N, 75°–120°E). The mapping system incorporates satellite data on snow cover, areas of frozen soil, surface soil water content, and vegetation cover.  相似文献

深海氧同位素第3阶段是末次冰期中的一段特殊时期,与全新世存在一定的相似性.为了深入分析深海氧同位素第3阶段时期的大气环境特征,本文利用黄土粒度的多组分特征,根据流体力学原理,指出其动力学原因是粉尘在搬运过程中风力、湍流和颗粒重力共同作用下形成的分选结果;黄土-古土壤粒度分布中的粗、中粒组分中值粒径近似反映了源区起尘时和沉降区降尘时近地表大气湍流强度的变化.对渭南地区黄土剖面的分析发现,末次冰期深海氧同位素第3阶段以来在中国黄土区存在大致以4千年为周期交替出现的强湍流期与弱湍流期,强湍流期对应于降温事件,如Heinrich事件,并存在着3种源区环境控制的不同大气湍流类型;在深海氧同位素第3阶段粉尘源区和沉降区都存在两种不同大气环境类型在时间上的频繁同步交替,具有高度的不稳定性和周期性波动特点,与末次冰盛期的大气环流模式可能相似,而与全新世不同;同时在该时期的强湍流降温期源区进退较明显、沉降区环境稳定,而弱湍流期源区较稳定、沉降区大气环境变化较大.  相似文献

沙尘气溶胶通过吸收和散射太阳辐射与长波辐射影响地球辐射收支和能量平衡,从而影响气候变化。另一方面,气候变化,土地利用、沙漠化和城市化等人类活动都是可能导致大气中矿物沙尘气溶胶的改变。沙尘气溶胶在全球及区域尺度气候和环境变化中起着十分重要的作用。  相似文献
