采用真三轴物理模型试验机、水力压裂伺服系统、声发射定位系统以及压裂液中添加示踪剂等方式,在真三轴条件下对大尺寸页岩水平井进行了水力压裂物理模拟试验,通过裂缝的动态监测和压裂后剖切等分析了裂缝的扩展规律,并对页岩压裂缝网的形成机制进行了初步探讨。结果表明:(1)水力裂缝自割缝处起裂并扩展、压开或贯穿层理面,形成相对较复杂的裂缝形态;(2)裂缝中既有垂直于层理面的新生水力主裂缝,又有沿弱层理面扩展延伸的次级裂缝,形成了纵向和横向裂缝并存的裂缝网络;(3)水力裂缝在延伸过程中会发生转向而逐渐垂直最小主应力;(4)水力裂缝在扩展过程中遇到弱层理面时的止裂、分叉、穿过和转向现象是形成页岩储层复杂裂缝网络的主要原因,而弱结构面的大量存在是形成复杂裂缝的基础。其研究结果可为页岩气藏水平井分段压裂开采等提供有力技术支持。  相似文献

A small-scale hydrogeological study was conducted in a fractured carbonate-rock aquifer located in a quarry to relate groundwater flow to the fracture network. The field study in the St-Eustache quarry, which integrates structural surveys, well logging and hydraulic tests, showed that the most important features that affect groundwater flow in the sedimentary aquifer are high hydraulic conductivity horizontal bedding planes. Vertical fractures are abundant in the quarry and throughout the region, but they have a minor effect on groundwater flow. To have a significant impact on the flow regime and lead to vertical groundwater flow, the permeability of all vertical joints need to be enhanced compared to what was generally observed at the site. Such an increase in permeability could potentially occur where dissolution and fracturing is more intense or at stress release locations such as near the surface in the quarry.  相似文献

Fractures can provide valuable information for tectonic evolution. According to the data of outcrops, cores, thin sections and well logs, the tectonic fractures in the Qaidam Basin can be divided into four types: small faults (including small normal fault and small reverse fault), vertical open fracture, bedding plane slip fracture and horizontal open fracture. Our fracture observations provide new constraints on the Cenozoic tectonic evolution of the Qaidam Basin. Syn-sedimentary small normal faults in the Paleogene strata indicate the extension deformation during the Paleogene. Small reverse faults, vertical open fractures and bedding plane slip fractures occurred in the Paleogene and Neogene strata have genetic relationship. According to the burial history and homogenization temperature of fluid inclusions of gypsum and calcite filled in the vertical open fractures, it can be deduced that the vertical open fractures being formed mainly from the late Miocene Shangyoushashan Formation with age of 5.1?Ma to the end of Pliocene Shizigou Formation with age of 2.6?Ma, indicating small reverse faults, vertical open fractures and bedding plane slip fractures were simultaneously formed in the Neogene. These fractures were resulted from the compression deformation. The horizontal open fractures occurred in the Paleogene, Neogene and Quaternary strata with apertures and intensities decreasing with depth were formed by the large-scale quick uplift and denudation resulted from the strong compression deformation since the Quaternary.  相似文献

Abstract

The classical model of faulting predicts that slip planes occur in two conjugate sets. Theoretically, more sets can be contemporarily active if pre-existing structures are reactivated in a three-dimensional strain field. Four to six sets of faults have been active in the Holocene in the Zailiski Alatau mountain range, Kazakstan. Faults strike with the highest frequency ENE and ESE and show mostly left-lateral reverse and right-lateral reverse motions, respectively. These faults have a bimodal distribution of dips, forming four sets arranged in orthorhombic symmetry. Locally, NNW- to NNE- striking vertical faults have also been active in the Holocene and show right-lateral strike-slip and left-lateral strike-slip motions, respectively. All these fault sets accommodated the general three-dimensional deformation, given by N-S-directed horizontal shortening, vertical extension, and E-W-directed horizontal extension. Field evidence also shows that the reverse motions, even if with a minor strike-slip component, occurred on high-angle planes with inclination of 65°-85°. ENE- and ESE-striking faults reactivated older fracture zones, whereas the other sets are newly formed. Comparison of these field results with the structures obtained from published analogue models shows a strong similarity of fault geometry and kinematics.  相似文献

传统上研究含气页岩宏观缝网特征的方法多是基于小样品开展,通过观察小样品的裂缝展布特征来了解页岩的裂缝发育的宏观特性。但是这类方法因尺度过小,缺乏代表性,不能获取连续面上的裂缝特征,难以分析裂缝发育和地应力方向之间的关系。为获取更详细的大尺度含气页岩的宏观裂缝特征,本文从重庆市涪陵地区石柱县采样获取2m×3m×0.7m完整大尺度岩块,并采用有序标号切割来获取30cm3规格岩样,在此基础上提取小岩样的表面裂缝并按照大尺度岩样切割的相对顺序构建三维裂缝网络。分析观测大尺度的三维裂缝网络可以发现,含气页岩的裂缝分布具有明显的规律性:水平主应力方向上的裂缝发育度普遍高于最小水平主应力方向;垂直方向上的裂缝与最小水平主应力的夹角为-62°。分维研究表明所有不同面上的裂缝均符合分维特性,说明小尺度裂缝特征和大尺度裂缝特征具有相似的规律性。此外,研究还表明最大水平主应力上的裂缝密度和分形维数最大,缝网结构最为复杂,最小水平主应力方向缝网结构次之,垂直主应力方向的裂缝结构最为简单;水平应力方向上主要以层理裂缝为主,垂直方向上以剪切缝为主,且与最小水平主应力的夹角为-62°。在掌握宏观裂缝分布特征基础上,研究可为页岩显微观测实验提供相应的理论依据。  相似文献

通过对野外野头观测,岩心观察,薄片鉴定、地层倾角测井解释等方法,对川口油田长6油层裂缝进行了研究,川口油田长6油层主层裂缝方向为近EW向,天然显裂缝规模小且不发育,裂缝在原始地层条件下多为闭合状态,只有在人工激发后才会表现出明显的裂缝特征,川口油田储层类型为孔隙型储集层,该区油层埋深500-700m,垂向应力为最小主应力,压裂后理论上应产生水平缝,但受到天然垂直(闭合)缝的影响,在裂缝发育区可能会形成垂直压裂缝,在目前注水条件下,注水实验区储层裂缝的作用还未表现出来。  相似文献

新疆油田某地区油藏的储隔层岩性组合复杂,呈现突出的薄互层产状特征,研究合、分压判断条件有利于提高压裂效率,增强储层动用程度与压后改造效果。水力裂缝在薄互层中的穿层与裂缝扩展行为受薄互层地质特征与压裂施工参数的影响。基于此,开展了薄互层物理模型压裂试验,研究界面胶结、岩层分布、岩层厚度、压裂液黏度与注液排量对薄互层中水力裂缝垂向扩展的影响分析。试验结果表明:薄互层的地层特征界面胶结与岩层分布是水力裂缝垂向扩展的主要控制因素,界面胶结强度对裂缝垂向扩展行为的影响强于岩层分布;由于弱胶结界面的存在,水力裂缝垂向扩展穿层时可发生方向偏转,抑制裂缝垂向扩展;提高压裂液黏度与注液排量有利于薄互层中水力裂缝的穿层垂向扩展。  相似文献

Discrete fracture network representations of discontinuities in rock masses have been shown to be useful in capturing heterogeneity in rock mass properties. Providing computational efficiency in the resulting simulations and analyses is attained, these fracture representations can be combined with structural modelling and sampling algorithms. Multiple fracture network realisations can be generated and the resulting rock mass properties interrogated. Statistical analyses based on fracture connectivity, block size distribution and slope stability can be performed and provide results defined in terms of confidence intervals. For sedimentary geology consisting of dense bedding, equivalent medium continuum methods have traditionally been used in preference to discrete fracture representations due to the large numbers of structures involved and resulting computational complexity. In this paper, it is shown that stochastic representation of these layers can be employed. An analytical solution to accommodate bedding given an assumed block size distribution has been derived. Using this formulation, polyhedral modelling has been used to investigate the influence of bedding on block formation and block size distributions using field data. It is shown that the analysis is both computationally efficient and can capture truncation of size distribution by such layers without numerical methods.  相似文献

Three orthogonal planes (two vertical and one horizontal with respect to the apparent bedding structure) of a core sample of seemingly graded graywacke sandstone have been petrographically analyzed in order to determine the form and characteristics of the lithologic gradients in the specimen. Compositional and textural properties were sampled in thin section according to an orthogonal grid pattern on each of the three faces. Variability among rows and columns (plus interaction) with respect to each petrographic variable was tested by analysis of variance using a two way classification. A larger number of properties show significant variation among the rows of the sampling grid (thus in a vertical direction) than in the horizontal plane of the apparent bedding. Quality control models with confidence limits, which display graphically trends in the individual constituents, indicate that feldspar proportion, mica proportion, and quartz grain size exhibit significant gradients (above the level of analytical error) in the direction perpendicular to the bedding. Quartz proportion oscillates in a non-systematic fashion, and quartz grain shape shows no trend in the vertical planes of the specimen. The petrographic variability observed in the horizontal plane of the bedding is generally trendless. Partial trend surfaces show that the trends in quartz grain size are dominant, but are not simple in form according to the comparative reductions in total variation achieved by fitted surfaces of successively higher degree. Again, the major portions of variability are explained by the surfaces fitted to planes perpendicular to the bedding. The textural homogeneity of the rock in the horizontal (bedding) plane is reflected in the relatively subdued trends exposed by the surfaces in this direction. Taking grain size as an example, a 1: 1 correspondence is established between this property and the theoretical effects of settling in a liquid medium by a functional relationship; it is shown that only 25 to 40% of the total grain size variation in the specimen is attributable to this process. It is concluded that the interpretation of natural sedimentation processes from analysis of petrographic properties is complex due to the interaction of the processes and the interdependencies among the measurable properties which result.  相似文献

通过室内水力压裂物理模拟试验系统,对大尺寸原煤进行了水力压裂模拟试验,根据水力裂缝的空间展布形态分析了煤岩储层水力裂缝的延伸规律,揭示了网状裂缝的形成机制。结果表明:水力裂缝易在弱层理处分叉和转向,发育的层理和裂缝系统等结构面为压裂形成裂缝网络提供了前提条件。泵压曲线呈现出的频繁波动是煤岩内产生网状裂缝的一个显著特征。水力裂缝的起裂与延伸有4种基本模式,裂缝网络的形成多为这4种基本模式的组合。地应力差异系数和泵注排量对煤层水力裂缝形态有较大影响。较小的地应力差异系数更利于网状裂缝的形成;较高的压裂液排量易形成相对简单的裂缝形态,导致压裂改造效果较差。该试验方法和试验结果可为现场水力压裂参数设计和优化提供参考和依据。  相似文献

A wellhead protection study for the city of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, USA, demonstrates the necessity of combining detailed hydrostratigraphic analysis with groundwater modeling to delineate zones of contribution for municipal wells in a fractured dolomite aquifer. A numerical model (MODFLOW) was combined with a particle tracking code (MODPATH) to simulate the regional groundwater system and to delineate capture zones for municipal wells. The hydrostratigraphic model included vertical and horizontal fractures and high-permeability zones. Correlating stratigraphic interpretations with field data such as geophysical logs, packer tests, and fracture mapping resulted in the construction of a numerical model with five high-permeability zones related to bedding planes or facies changes. These zones serve as major conduits for horizontal groundwater flow. Dipping fracture zones were simulated as thin high-permeability layers. The locations of exposed bedrock and surficial karst features were used to identify areas of enhanced recharge. Model results show the vulnerability of the municipal wells to pollution. Capture zones for the wells extend several kilometers north and south from the city. Travel times from recharge areas to all wells were generally less than one year. The high seasonal variability of recharge in the study area made the use of a transient model necessary. Electronic Publication  相似文献

Inflow data from 23 tunnels and galleries, 136 km in length and located in the Aar and Gotthard massifs of the Swiss Alps, have been analyzed with the objective (1) to understand the 3-dimensional spatial distribution of groundwater flow in crystalline basement rocks, (2) to assess the dependency of tunnel inflow rate on depth, tectonic overprint, and lithology, and (3) to derive the distribution of fracture transmissivity and effective hydraulic conductivity at the 100-m scale. Brittle tectonic overprint is shown to be the principal parameter regulating inflow rate and dominates over depth and lithology. The highest early time inflow rate is 1,300 l/s and has been reported from a shallow hydropower gallery intersecting a 200-m wide cataclastic fault zone. The derived lognormal transmissivity distribution is based on 1,361 tunnel intervals with a length of 100 m. Such interval transmissivities range between 10?9 and 10?1 m2/s within the first 200–400 m of depth and between 10?9 and 10?4 m2/s in the depth interval of 400–1,500 m below ground surface. Outside brittle fault zones, a trend of decreasing transmissivity/hydraulic conductivity with increasing depth is observed for some schistous and gneissic geological units, whereas no trend is identified for the granitic units.  相似文献

The performance and safety assessment and technology demonstration are the main objectives of research programs for feasibility studies for deep geological repository of radioactive waste. In this context, the French national radioactive waste management agency (ANDRA) started to develop the Meuse/Haute-Marne underground research laboratory (URL) at Bure, nearly 300 km East of Paris. The host formation consists of a Callovo-Oxfordian claystone found between 420 and 550 m below ground, overlain and underlain by poorly permeable carbonate formations. One of the major concerns related to performance assessment is the excavation-induced fractures which may provide groundwater preferential pathway for radionuclide migration. The extent of the fractures possibly acting significantly in the radionuclide migration is known as the excavation damaged zone (EDZ). A scientific study on the EDZ characterization is performed at the main level of the URL (?490 m). Observations such as structural analysis on core, overcored resin-filled samples, geological survey of the drift face and sidewalls, were made to better understand the fracture network characteristics, extent and its generation. Pulse and constant head test hydraulic conductivity measurements were performed with multi packer system to estimate the extension of the EDZ hydraulic conductivity. Fractures exhibited high transmissivity near the excavation walls, but farther from the exaction walls, shear fractures showed hydraulic conductivity values reflecting values of undisturbed or slightly disturbed rock mass condition. The major findings in terms of geometry and properties of excavation-induced fractures are discussed in detail in this paper. For example, it is observed that the shape of the fracture network depends on the orientation of the drift in relation to the orientation of the in situ stress field.  相似文献

A hydrogeological study was conducted in Potsdam sandstones on the international border between Canada (Quebec) and the USA (New York). Two sandstone formations, arkose and conglomerate (base) and well-cemented quartz arenite (upper), underlie the study area and form the major regional aquifer unit. Glacial till, littoral sand and gravel, and marine silt and clay discontinuously overlie the aquifer. In both sandstone formations, sub-horizontal bedding planes are ubiquitous and display significant hydraulic conductivities that are orders of magnitude more permeable than the intact rock matrix. Aquifer tests demonstrate that the two formations have similar bulk hydrologic properties, with average hydraulic conductivities ranging from 2?×?10?5 to 4?×?10?5 m/s. However, due to their different lithologic and structural characteristics, these two sandstones impose rather different controls on groundwater flow patterns in the study area. Flow is sustained through two types of fracture networks: sub-horizontal, laterally extensive fractures in the basal sandstone, where hydraulic connectivity is very good horizontally but very poor vertically and each of the water-bearing bedding planes can be considered as a separate planar two-dimensional aquifer unit; and the more fractured and vertically jointed system found in the upper sandstone that promotes a more dispersed, three-dimensional movement of groundwater.  相似文献

Bedding structure has affected gas flow in coal seam greatly, which also controls gas permeation direction and gas extraction results, and finally it has tremendous influence on prevention and control of gas disaster accidents. Combined with engineering practice of gas disaster prevention and control in China, in this paper, permeability evolution of nature coal in different bedding directions in the condition of loading is studied, and the results showed that in three directions of bedding fractures, permeability of coal which is parallel to bedding planes is the highest; it would be much easier for gas percolation along the bedding planes than other directions. In the unloading process, tension–shear destruction appears in coal sample which is oblique to bedding along the bedding planes, with a sudden increase in permeability. It is difficult for the crack damage from loading process to recover in unloading process, that is, permeability of unloading isn’t just a simple reverse process of loading. Combined with the permeability evolution of the three coal samples in the whole process, three permeability evolution models which include elasticity, plasticity and fracture are proposed. Based on the experimental results, gas extraction using boreholes along coal seam and through coal seam is compared during depressurized mining. Due to the bedding structure of coal seam, a large area of fracture network of “boreholes–bedding fractures” is formed among boreholes through coal seam and bedding structure, which makes the good effect of gas extraction using boreholes through coal seam. Research results will be of important guiding significance for choosing the best gas extraction scheme, layout of setting parameters of drilling boreholes and gas disaster prevention in the underground coal mine.  相似文献

Deserts are one of the most important dust sources in the world. Because dust content changes as a function of height at low levels in the atmosphere, this affects long‐term dust transport. In this paper, field data measured above shifting sands in the south‐eastern Tengger Desert were used to analyse the vertical distribution of sediment fluxes in the near‐surface layer (0 to 48 m). It was possible to express horizontal sediment flux as a power function, but aeolian deposition as a function of height could be expressed as an exponential function. There are two curve types for the particle size distributions in the horizontal sediment flux and aeolian deposition: bimodal and unimodal curves. For the horizontal sediment flux and aeolian deposition, heights of 24 m and 32 m, respectively, were the key heights in the size distribution curve; below these heights, the curve was bimodal, whereas above these heights, it was unimodal. At heights of 4 to 16 m, and especially between 8 m and 12 m, the data were particularly interesting because the sediment size, transport mode, degree of sorting, and the skewness and kurtosis change. For the horizontal sediment flux, wind turbulence moved saltating particles higher than expected.  相似文献

针对现有页岩气体积压裂层理裂缝扩展模型及其计算方法研究的不足,基于三点弯曲试验,结合数字图像法获取了页岩层理关键力学参数;利用弹性力学理论和线弹簧模型建立了页岩气体积压裂层理裂缝扩展拟三维数学模型,并得到了试验验证;开发了裂缝几何参数计算程序,计算分析了层理参数与压裂施工参数对水力裂缝扩展的影响规律。结果表明:当层理刚度小于10 GPa/m及大于30 GPa/m时,剪切滑移量达到极大值及极小值,且基本保持不变,当层理刚度在10~30 GPa/m之间时,层理刚度与剪切滑移量呈线性负相关关系;当层理密度为5~7条时,主裂缝会沟通更多的层理;当层理强度为5~8 MPa时,水力裂缝易穿层扩展,且能使层理产生剪切滑移,从而生成复杂裂缝;当压裂液排量和压裂液黏度分别在9~12 m3/min和2.5~5m Pa·s范围内时,水力裂缝易穿层扩展,最终形成十字型裂缝,有助于复杂裂缝的形成。该研究对认识页岩层理力学性能及其对层理裂缝扩展规律的影响有一定的指导意义。  相似文献

Vertical electrical soundings technique was used to evaluate the aquifer characteristics and distribution in the northern part of Paiko in Nigeria. A total of thirty vertical electrical soundings were carried out using ABEM SAS4000 Terrameter, and the data was analyzed both manually and with software (Resist software). The result revealed the aquifer resistivity and thickness to vary from 10.9 to 80,368 Ωm, and 1.06 to 72 m, respectively. Also, hydraulic conductivity ranges from 0.010267 to 41.61928 m/day while transmissivity values range from 0.035215 to 70.09302 m2. The hydrogeological maps (hydraulic conductivity and transmissivity image maps) showed the variations of these parameters in the study area and that the southwestern part of the area has prolific aquifer.  相似文献
