The Western Tropical Pacific(WTP) Ocean holds the largest area of warm water(28℃) in the world ocean referred to as the Western Pacific Warm Pool(WPWP),which modulates the regional and global climate through strong atmospheric convection and its variability.The WTP is unique in terms of its complex 3-D ocean circulation system and intensive multiscale variability,making it crucial in the water and energy cycle of the global ocean.Great advances have been made in understanding the complexity of the WTP ocean circulation and associated climate impact by the international scientific community since the 1960 s through field experiments.In this study,we review the evolving insight to the 3-D structure and multi-scale variability of the ocean circulation in the WTP and their climatic impacts based on in-situ ocean observations in the past decades,with emphasis on the achievements since 2000.The challenges and open que stions remaining are reviewed as well as future plan for international study of the WTP ocean circulation and climate.  相似文献

A mooring was deployed east of Mindanao Island at 8°N, 127°3′E from December 2010 to August 2014 to collect direct measurements of the Mindanao Current (MC). The Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) fixed on the main float shows that the MC is a strong and stable southward flow with a standard deviation less than 21 cm/s in the upper 500 m. The core flows between depths of 50 and 100 m with a maximum mean speed of 78 cm/s at 100 m. The seasonal variability of MC varies interannually and is depth-dependent. Although it takes a double-peak structure in the upper 200 m with two maxima in April and June and one minimum in October, the MC velocity has its maximum during boreal summer (June) and a minimum in autumn (September) when a 100-day low-pass filter is applied to remove intraseasonal signals. The semiannual signals are mainly limited between 200 and 350 m. The Asian monsoon intensifies the wind-driven sea-surface height anomaly (SSHA) east of Mindanao Island, and the resulting sharp slope induces meridional flow with large variability. Rossby waves and the boundary effect weaken the contribution of wind, stabilizing the flow of MC. The MC is determined by the zonal gradient of the SSHA rather than the SSHA itself, suggesting a possible inconsistency in seasonality between the Mindanao Eddy (ME) and MC. The semiannual ME signal plays an important role in the seasonal variability of MC.  相似文献

正规矩阵是对模型误差补偿性的直接表达,时间序列法用一阶差分方程和二阶差分方程计算得到不同的正规矩阵。针对传统GM(1,1)模型没有考虑模型误差,而数据处理过程中所建立的数学模型与客观现实并不一致的问题,该文提出建立顾及模型误差的半参数模型的GM(1,1)模型。对由传统半参数模型得到的正规矩阵采取一阶差分法进行改进,并通过算例证实了改进正规矩阵的半参数模型的GM(1,1)预测精度更高。  相似文献

The daily and monthly-mean characteristics of cold water patches(CWPs) off the Jiangsu coast in 35 a of1982–2016 are examined based on advanced very high resolution radiometer(AVHRR) data. Most of the CWPs are found to occur in the warm and hot months(May–September), with some CWPs in the cool and cold months(October–April). The average radius and intensity of the monthly-mean CWPs are about 81 km and 0.6°C,respectively. The average difference in the sea surface temperature(SST) between the centers of the CWPs and the nearshore is about 2.0°C. The correlation analysis between the CWPs, winds and tides indicates that most of the CWPs occurred during the southerly winds, with some CWPs occurring during the northerly winds. The average intensity of the CWPs during spring tides is slightly stronger than that during neap tides in the warm and hot months, and the difference is very small in the cool and cold months.  相似文献

大型集装箱船(LCS)具有较大的甲板开口,抗扭刚度非常低。在恶劣海况下航行时,大型集装箱船可能会遭遇斜浪的作用,此时船体将受到三向载荷的联合作用,水平波浪弯矩和扭转波浪弯矩可能会接近甚至超过垂向波浪弯矩,船体可能因发生组合变形而破坏。因此有必要研究大型集装箱船在三向载荷联合作用下的结构可靠性。在研究三向载荷联合作用下各维度极限强度的相互关系的基础上,提出了大型集装箱船的极限承载能力的可靠性评估方法,并对目标船在各浪向角下的结构可靠性进行评估。结果表明:目标船在0°浪向角下的失效概率最高;考虑水平波浪弯矩影响后目标船的结构可靠性有所降低;扭转波浪弯矩对目标船船中剖面的结构可靠性影响较小。  相似文献

This paper discusses the causes of debris flow, landslide, collapse, water and soil erosion and other mountain disasters in the high mountain-plateau transitional region in northwest Sichuan. Through analysis of geological structure, lithology, earthquakes, landforms, hydrologic regime, meteorological conditions and man-made factors, the authors conclude that the natural conditions of this region favor the formation of debris flow, landslides and other mountain disasters. Moreover, the irrational economic activities of humans such as destroying forest ecosystems stimulate the occurrence of mountain disasters.  相似文献

The relief of the expedition area in NW-Sichuan and SE-Qinghai can simply be separated into two main areas: the catchment area of the Yangtze with deeply incised rivers in narrow V-shaped valleys up to about 3,000 m and the plateau area with old peneplains in the Huang He catchment with meandering rivers up to more than 4,000 m. Precipitation and temperature decrease towards the NW. All zonal boundaries, eg the vegetation boundaries or the snowline, are ascending in elevation towards the interior of the plateau. The natural vegetation, especially the forests, are modified by anthropo-zoogenic influences. Within the zone of alpine meadows and the uppermost region of natural forest as well as in the Red Basin evidence of pasture and agriculture goes back by at least 2,000 years. During the last 20 years within the transition zone of the deeply incised valleys towards the plateau one third of the forests have been cut down.The main investigation area of Nianbaoyeze is built up by a granite-dome being about 500 to 800 m higher than the surrounding peneplains. The extent of Pleistocene glaciations can be mapped by the distribution of terminal and lateral moraines and erratic granite boulders on the slopes of the surrounding schists. The altitude of terminal moraines indicates a snowline of the last glaciation at about 4,300 m, which is about 800 m below the present snowline. Three main Pleistocene glaciations can be separated due to palaeosols, the overlying stratum being either aeolian sandy silt or solifluction debris. The ice free areas shows several Pleistocene terraces and in addition loess deposits with palaeosols in the deeper basins. In summary there is a rising of the snowline of the last glaciation at the E margin of the Tibetan Plateau from about 4,000 m in the E (Minshan) to 4,300 m at Nianbaoyeze and to about 4,700 m in the W (Bayan Har Shan). The hypothesis of an extensive plateau glaciation could not be verified for this region.  相似文献
