A large amount of oncolites popularly named " Chuanshan balls" occur universally in the Lower Permian Chuanshan Formation in South China. These kinds of oncolites have the following characteristics: wide distribution, huge quantities, large sedimentary thickness and similar characters, which constitute a specific " fashion fades" in geological history. The authors consider that these kinds of oncolites were due to the intense differentiation of the global climate at that time, which resulted in a universal descent of the sea level and breeding of a large amount of algae in sea water over low-latitude areas. According to the distribution and characteristics of the oncolitic, relative relationships between different tectonic blocks may be inferred, diagenetic strength indicated and diagenetic history recovered, and more important, oncolites serve as a favourable reservoir rock, so their study is of great theoretical and economic significance.  相似文献

This paper discusses the distribution pattern and geological significance of the carbon and oxygen isotopes (δ13C and δ18O) in the depositional sequences of Gaoyuzhuangian, Yangzhuangian and Wumishanian ages of the established Middle and Upper Proterozoic sequence stratigraphic framework in the Ming Tombs area lying in western Yanshan Mountain of Beijing. Besides, sketchy determination of δ13C and δ18O was also performed for other formations and members. The analytical results show the following: under the condition of clear-water carbonate sediments, δ13C and δ18O, featuring smaller variation of δ13C but larger variation of δ18O, can well delineate the relative change of sea level, which reflects the difference of primary sedimentary settings; in the presence of terrigenous substances, δ13C values vary greatly while δ18O slightly; the carbon and oxygen isotopes show marked changes at sequence boundaries. Thanks to the large effective area and the spectral resolution of current X‐ray satellites, the detection of X‐ray narrow spectral features in the 5–7 keV band is becoming commonplace in many AGN observations. Such lines, both in emission and in absorption, are mostly interpreted as arising from Iron atoms. When observed with some displacement from their rest frame position, these lines carry the potential to study the motion of circumnuclear gas in AGN, providing a diagnostic of the effects of the gravitational field of the central black hole. These narrow features have been often found with marginal statistical significance. A systematic search for narrow features in type1 AGN is being performed on all spectra available in the XMM‐Newton archive with the aim to estimate the significance of the features with Monte Carlo simulations of synthetic spectra. The Aoyougou ophiolite lies in an early Palaeozoic orogenic belt of the western North Qilian Mountains, near the Aoyougou valley in Gansu Province, northwestern China. It consists of serpentinite, a cumulate sequence of gabbro and diorite, pillow and massive lavas, diabase and chert. Ages of 1840±2 Ma, 1783±2 Ma and 1784±2 Ma on three zircons from diabase, indicate an early Middle Proterozoic age. The diabases and basalts show light rare-earth element enrichment and have relatively high TiO2 contents, characteristic of ocean island basalts. All of the lavas have low MgO, Cr, Ni contents and Mg numbers indicating a more evolved character. They are believed to have been derived from a more mafic parental magma by fractionation of olivine, Cr-spinel and minor plagioclase. Based on the lava geochemistry and regional geology, the Aoyougou ophiolite was probably believed to have formed at a spreading centre in a small marginal basin. The Baiyun cave is a 380 m long karst cave in the Naigu Shilin, situated 70 km southeast of Kunming, Yunnan Province, China. The prevailing orientations of the cave passages are N110°-120°E and N0°-10°W and those of the fissures in the cave are N30°-40°W and N20°-30°W. The cave is developed in the thick-bedded Lower Permian Qixia Formation. The cave has an active water flow and is currently at the near water-table stage. There are large amounts of different infills of cave sediments. The cave shows different stages of paragenesis. The palaeomagnetic analysis of cave sediments shows that their ages are younger than 780 ka B.P. (the Brunhes Chron). The upper part of the sampled profile belongs to the reverse Blake event (112.3-117.9 ka B.P.). The formation of the Baiyun cave is directly connected with the development of the Naigu Shilin. The formation of karst underground and surface features depends on the regional tectonic deformation and the Cenozoic extension of the study area.  相似文献

Two new chordates, Cathaymyrus haikouensis Luo et Hu sp. nov. and Zhongxiniscus intermedius Luo et Hu gen. et sp. nov. are studied in this paper. Both display numerous S-shaped myomeres on their trunk. C. haikouensis shows a long and slim body similar to that of Cathaymyrus diadexus Shu et al., Zhongxiniscus approaches to Myllokunmingia and Haikouichthys in the dorsal fin, but differs in the myomeres. Zhongxiniscus may be the intermediate form between Cathaymyrus and Myllokunmingia and Haikouichthys.  相似文献

青藏高原是世界上最高、最大和最年青的高原。按照气候地貌学的观点,其干燥和寒冷的气候条件不利于岩溶地貌的发育。笔者在青藏高原上已发现了广泛分布的岩溶微形态。笔者用国际通用的石灰岩圆形切片,在西藏三个不同地点进行了12年的野外溶蚀试验,揭示出青藏高原的岩溶溶蚀速率是全世界最低的,在土层中还产生沉淀现象。通过在青藏高原不同高程上测量大气中CO_2分压,发现P_(CO_2)随海拔高度的增加而降低。在土壤、沉积物和岩石裂隙中的P_(CO_2)也呈现同样的变化趋势。由于CO_2含量直接影响天然水的溶蚀能力,因此可以断定低CO_2浓度是造成青藏高原上现代岩溶过程微弱的重要原因之一。其他主要原因包括干旱和寒冷气候条件。通过对不同微地貌上溶蚀速率的计算和形态分析,可以认为,分布于高原面上的所有岩溶微形态中,现代发育的岩溶微地貌形态仅仅是那些与生物岩溶过程有关的溶痕,其他岩溶微地貌形态可能是全新世温暖期的产物。  相似文献

Many yellow silt layers have been identified in the Holocene sediments in the last lake of Lop Nur (playa), Xinjiang, northwestern China. Statistics of drill-hole cores have revealed more than one hundred layers, which exhibit regularity in time sequence. Study has further verified that these yellow silt layers were deposited through eolian processes. The time-frequency distribution diagram shows an obvious peak occurring at about 8200 a B.P., which is consistent with the dry, windy and cold climate event occurring at 8200 a in other places around the world. Therefore, this event is regarded as a response to the global climate change.  相似文献

The distribution of Neogene felsic porphyries intruding in earlier granitic batholiths was mainly controlled by north-south-tending rifting zones and normal faults. The main rock types of the felsic porphyries include granodiorite-porphyry, monzonitic granite-porphyry and quartz monzonitic porphyry. The porphyries are characterized by high SiO2 ((?)64.26%) and Al2O3 (>15% at 70% SiO2), low Y and HREE (Yb) contents, strong enrichment of LILE and LERR, especially K and ST. Geochemical features of the porphyries show distinct adakitic magma affinity. Nd, Sr and Pb isotopic compositions of the porphyries form a linear alignment from MORB to EM2, suggesting a mixing of the MORB reservoir with the metasomatized mantle reservoir. Considering also the geochemical characteristics of the porphyries and the sequence of observable structural-thermal-magmatic events at Gangdise, it is thought that the Neogene porphyries were formed by partial melting of dead subducted oceanic crust in a post-collision setting.
