The simultaneous measurements of the boundary of the trapped radiation region, where auroral electrons precipitate, on the
Meteor-3M satellite (the circular polar orbit at an altitude of ∼1000 km) and the westward electrojet dynamics during the
main phase of a strong (Dst = −263 nT) magnetic storm that occurred on May 15, 2005, are analyzed. At the end of the first
hour of the storm main phase, the nightside boundary of the trapped radiation region and the peak of the precipitating electron
fluxes with a energies of ∼1 keV shifted toward the Earth to L ∼ 3. The westward electrojet center approached the same L shell.
Near the boundary of the trapped radiation region, the auroral electron spectrum had the shape of typical inverted V. The
differential spectrum maximum shifted to an energy of ∼100 eV, when the latitude decreased by ∼1°. The nightside boundary
of the trapped radiation region, the electron precipitation equatorward boundary, and the westward electrojet center are compared
with the known empirical dependences of the position of these structures on the Dst variation amplitude. 相似文献

A three-dimensional (non-axisymmetric) model for the solar mean magnetic field generation is studied. The sources of generation are the differential rotation and mean helicity in the convective shell. The system is described by two equations of the first order in time and the fourth order in space coordinates. The solution is sought for in the form of expansion over the spherical function Ynm. The modes of different m are separated. A finite-difference scheme similar to the Peaceman-Rachford scheme is constructed so to find coefficients of the expansion depending on the time and radial coordinates. It is shown that a mode with a smaller azimuthal number m is primarily excited. The axisymmetric mode m = o describes the 22 year solar cycle oscillations. The modes of m o have no such periodicity, the oscillate with a period of rotation of the low boundary of the solar convective shell, The solutions which are symmetric relative to the equator plane are excited more easily compared with the antisymmetrical ones. The results obtained are confronted to the observational picture of the non-axisymmetric large-scale solar magnetic fields. 相似文献

The review is compiled based on the results of the operation of the total ozone (TO) monitoring system in the CIS and Baltic
countries, functioning in the operational regime at the Central Aerological Observatory (CAO). The monitoring system uses
the data from the national network of type M-124 filter ozonometers under control of the Main Geophysical Observatory (MGO);
the proper operation of the entire system is under an operational control from observations with the OMI satellite (US NASA)
equipment. Basic TO observations data for each month of the third quarter of 2009 and for the quarter as a whole are generalized.
Results of regular observations of the surface ozone content carried out by the CAO in the Moscow park zone are considered;

Popov’s infiltration-capacitive model of the spring runoff, including the computation of the runoff losses due to evaporation
in the period of snow melting and losses due to evaporation and absorption in the period of exhaustion of the sheet inflow
into the channel net, is used. Equations to forecast the spring snowmelt flood runoff, taking account of the frozen soil melting,
are derived. The method of estimation of their parameters on the base of the joint use of linear regression and optimization
methods is realized. It is demonstrated that factors of the autumn moistening and freezing of soils of basins in the beginning
of winter influence the spring runoff losses. The integrated index of the initial state of the basin, taking account of mentioned

Characteristics of the thermal tropopause are computed and analyzed on the base of 18-year series (1990–2007) of radio sounding
data at Barrow station. The seasonal and interannual variability of tropopause height and temperature values, as well as of
the relative humidity and wind speed at this level are investigated. Investigation of the tropopause “contrast” value, which
defines the tropopause as the separating layer, is carried out. It is shown that during the period under review the tropopause
has become stronger pronounced, mainly due to the temperature lapse rate increase in the lower stratosphere. 相似文献
