A deeper understanding of how clouds will respond to a warming climate is one of the outstanding challenges in climate science. Uncertainties in the response of clouds, and particularly shallow clouds, have been identified as the dominant source of the discrepancy in model estimates of equilibrium climate sensitivity. As the community gains a deeper understanding of the many processes involved, there is a growing appreciation of the critical role played by fluctuations in water vapor and the coupling of water vapor and atmospheric circulations. Reduction of uncertainties in cloud-climate feedbacks and convection initiation as well as improved understanding of processes governing these effects will result from profiling of water vapor in the lower troposphere with improved accuracy and vertical resolution compared to existing airborne and space-based measurements. This paper highlights new technologies and improved measurement approaches for measuring lower tropospheric water vapor and their expected added value to current observations. Those include differential absorption lidar and radar, microwave occultation between low-Earth orbiters, and hyperspectral microwave remote sensing. Each methodology is briefly explained, and measurement capabilities as well as the current technological readiness for aircraft and satellite implementation are specified. Potential synergies between the technologies are discussed, actual examples hereof are given, and future perspectives are explored. Based on technical maturity and the foreseen near-mid-term development path of the various discussed measurement approaches, we find that improved measurements of water vapor throughout the troposphere would greatly benefit from the combination of differential absorption lidar focusing on the lower troposphere with passive remote sensors constraining the upper-tropospheric humidity. 相似文献

如何使用少量的地形特征复原地形地貌一直为地学领域的难题。本文使用开源数据集提取地形特征要素,使用地形特征要素作为约束条件构建了用于生成DEM的条件生成对抗网络(Conditional Generative Adversarial Networks, CGAN),设计了基于开源DEM、开源DEM与遥感影像组合、以及5m高精度DEM提取地形特征要素生成DEM的对比实验,并对结果进行视觉效果、相关性分析以及地形因子的对比与评价。结果表明:(1)在视觉效果上,3种不同方式生成的DEM在视觉效果上均十分逼近原始5 m DEM,都远好于传统插值方法生成DEM,基于开源12.5m DEM提取要素和1m遥感影像的重建效果最接近于原始5 m DEM;(2)在相关性上,三种不同方式生成的DEM与原始5m DEM相关性均能达到0.75以上,组合开源数据提取要素重建DEM与原始5 m DEM相关性可达到0.85以上;(3)在地形因子方面,基于开源12.5 m DEM和1 m遥感影像提取要素重建DEM的坡度和坡向的分布趋势与原始5 m DEM最为一致。本文为高精度DEM建模提供了新的思路,在高精度DEM难以获取... 相似文献

泰安市地处鲁中山区,山地丘陵广泛分布,崩塌、滑坡、泥石流和岩溶塌陷等地质灾害较为发育。本次研究依托新一轮1∶5万地质灾害风险普查,基于ArcGIS平台空间分析功能对高精度DEM、构造、工程地质和水文地质、降雨及植被等数据分析和提取,利用信息量法和层次分析法分别对崩滑泥石流和岩溶塌陷易发性评价,以降雨作为危险性评价因子,综合考虑人口和经济因素选择用地类型作为易损性条件进行风险区划,最终划分为地质灾害风险高、中、低3个等级,为今后有效开展自然灾害综合防治、衔接国土空间规划和保障经济社会可持续发展提供基础依据。 相似文献

Lacustrine groundwater discharge (LGD) can substantially impact ecosystem characteristics and functions. Fibre optic distributed temperature sensing (FO‐DTS) has been successfully used to locate groundwater discharge into lakes and rivers at the sediment–water interface, but locating groundwater discharge would be easier if it could be detected from the more accessible water surface. So far, it is not clear if how and under which conditions the LGD signal propagates through the water column to the water surface–atmosphere interface, and what perturbations and signal losses occur along this pathway. In the present study, LGD was simulated in a mesocosm experiment. Under winter conditions, water with temperatures of 14 to 16 °C was discharged at the bottom of a 10 × 2.8‐m mesocosm. Water within this mesocosm ranged from 4.0 to 7.4 °C. Four layers (20, 40, 60, and 80 cm above the sediment) of the 82 cm deep mesocosm were equipped with FO‐DTS for tracing thermal patterns in the mesocosm. Aims are (a) to test whether the positive buoyancy of relatively warm groundwater imported by LGD into shallow water bodies allows detection of LGD at the lake's water surface–atmosphere interface by FO‐DTS, (b) to analyse the propagation of the temperature signal from the sediment‐water interface through the water column, and (c) to learn more about detectability of the signal under different discharge rates and weather conditions. The experiments supported the benchmarking of scale dependencies and robustness of FO‐DTS applications for measuring upwelling into aquatic environments and revealed that weather conditions can have important impacts on the detection of upwelling at water surface–atmosphere interfaces at larger scales. 相似文献

Understanding the impact of prior earthquake damage on residual capacity is important for postearthquake damage assessment of buildings; however, interpretation of such impact is challenging when based on tests using traditional reversed‐cyclic loading protocols. A new loading protocol, consisting of a dynamic earthquake displacement history followed by quasi‐static reversed‐cyclic loading to failure, is presented as an alternative to traditional simulated seismic loading protocols. Data are analyzed from a set of 12 nominally identical ductile reinforced concrete beams that were tested by using variations of this protocol and traditional reversed‐cyclic and monotonic protocols. Differences in the cycle content of the earthquake displacement histories applied to the test specimens allowed for the effects of load history variation below 2.2% drift to be isolated. It is found that such variation had no effect on the beam deformation capacities. The effects of dynamic loading rates are also analyzed and compared against control quasi‐static specimens. Relative strength increases due to dynamic loading are found to be more significant at yield than at ultimate. Dynamic loading rates led to modest reductions in the beam deformation capacities, but the presence of causality between these variables remains uncertain. 相似文献

2003-2005年在同一时段5~6月,在珠江口按年度分区进行了地质环境综合调查,其中包括海水取样和样品测试,测试项目有理化常规、营养盐、有害重金属等。对样品测试结果的分析表明,珠江口化学要素分布是来源、水体运动、迁移等一系列过程的最终反映,各要素分布的变异性差别较大;存在季节性低氧区,与受到污染或以南陆架盐水入侵有关;大量的径流输入使得NO3-N和硅酸盐含量很高,营养盐类型为磷限制型,氮硅比例则比较适宜;局部有害重金属Pb、Zn、Hg含量较高,与径流输入和沿岸排污直接有关,底床细颗粒沉积物受到扰动的二次释放对水体也有所贡献;硫化物对海水形成了一定程度的污染,局部石油类污染也需要引起关注,无机氮污染尤其严重,反映出人类以不同方式和途径影响着珠江口。最后,讨论了海水与表层沉积物化学要素的相互关系,进行了水质综合评价。 相似文献

With the proposed new GNSS signals, enhanced navigation performance is expected in both civil and military applications. However, these new signals introduce the difficulty of combining multiple signal components into a constant-envelope signal. For the Compass B1 band, the problem is to multiplex a QPSK(2) signal and a new multiplexed binary offset carrier (MBOC) signal with a center frequency difference of 14.322 MHz. One approach for multiplexing spreading codes is the phase-optimized constant-envelope transmission (POCET) method proposed for the GPS L1 band. However, only binary spreading codes are considered in POCET. We first generalize the POCET method as a multilevel POCET (MPOCET) algorithm for multilevel coded signals. A new implementation of the alternative binary offset carrier (AltBOC) generator is derived from MPOCET. Secondly, the multiplexing problem for Compass is modeled by MPOCET. Multilevel subcarriers of AltBOC are adopted in the model. As a result, an 8-PSK unbalanced AltBOC (UAltBOC) modulation, which has a QPSK(2) signal at the lower sideband and a TMBOC signal at the upper sideband, is obtained. Simulations for signal model validation and power spectrum analysis are conducted. Numerical results indicate that UAltBOC successfully combines the QPSK and TMBOC signals with only 0.16-dB additional combining loss compared to AltBOC. 中国首个自主火星探测任务“天问一号”探测器于2020-07成功发射,其搭载的中国首台火星车“祝融号”将在着陆火星后开展巡视探测,获取中国火星探测的原始科学数据。识别火星表面岩矿类型对于了解火星的大气变化、环境状态、地质演化以及生物宜居性等具有重要意义。本研究利用“祝融号”火星车搭载的多光谱相机载荷鉴定件(8个波段)在地球环境下拍摄并获取了18种火星表面岩矿的多光谱影像数据。基于该数据所开展的火星岩矿类型的识别研究可为未来基于“祝融号”多光谱相机数据进行火星表面岩矿的原位识别提供指导。本文所采用的基于多光谱影像波段运算和彩色图像HSV颜色特征直方图的岩矿识别方法,可从多光谱特征和颜色特征两个层面来识别不同类型的岩矿。所使用的多光谱影像数据是在太阳高度角约60°、拍摄高度1.8 m、拍摄角度约37°的条件下采集所得。在该实验条件下,两种识别方法共提取出12种岩矿的识别指标。基于多光谱影像波段运算可以区分出在8个特定波段下具有突出光谱特征的岩矿类型,而基于图像HSV颜色特征可区分出颜色特征分布较为集中的岩矿类型。同时,研究发现拍摄角度不同会对岩矿的识别效果产生不可忽略的影响。 相似文献
