The Russian electrodynamic seismometer model S-5-S has been adapted for the measurement of rotational ground motion. The mechanical system of the original S-5-S seismometer consists of electrodynamic sensing and damping transducer coils mounted on an asymmetrical double-arm pendulum. This pendulum is suspended on a footing using two pairs of crossed flat springs, which operate as the axis of rotation. The pendulum is stabilised by an additional spring. The S-5-S can be used either as a vertical or as a horizontal sensor. The adaptation of the S-5-S seismometer described below involves removal of the additional spring and installation of an additional mass on the damping arm. Strain gauge angle sensors are installed on one pair of the crossed flat springs. The main dynamic parameters of the rotational seismometer created in this way, i.e. the natural period and damping, are controlled electronically by feedback currents proportional to the angular displacement and angular velocity, both fed to the damping transducer coil. This new seismometer, named the S-5-SR, enables measurement of the rotational component of ground motion around the horizontal or the vertical axes. The output signal from this S-5-SR seismometer can be proportional either to rotational displacement or rotational velocity.  相似文献

Buildings in the proximity of roads can be affected by vibrations induced by traffic. Local geological pattern is necessary to be taken into account because it has significant influence on values of vibrations and their characteristics. This paper summarizes results of experimental measurements. Four different types of buildings in different types of local geology were used for this purpose. The obtained results document that the generation of significant vibrations is mostly due to heavy vehicles. Some maximum velocity values exceed acceptable limits according to the Czech Technical Standard 73 0040 for evaluation of technical seismicity effect on buildings. Cosmetic damage, meaning the cracking of plaster, might occur due to traffic vibrations.  相似文献

The work presents microparticle concentrations in snowpits from the East Rongbuk Glacier on Mt. Qomolangma (Everest) (ER) (28.02°N, 86.96°E, 6536 m a.s.l.), the Zhadang Glacier on Mt. Nyainqentanglha (NQ) (30.47°N, 90.65°E, 5800m a.s.l.), and the Guoqu Glacier on Mt. Geladaindong (GL) (33.95°N, 91.28°E, 5823m a.s.l.) over the Tibetan Plateau (TP). Variations of microparticle and major ions (e.g. Mg2+, Ca2+) concentrations in snowpits show that the values of the microparticles and ions in the non-monsoon seasons are much higher than those in the monsoon seasons. Annual flux of microparticle deposition at ER is lower than those at NQ and GL, which could be attributed to the long distance away from the possible dust source regions as well as the elevation for ER higher than the others. Compared with other remote areas, microparticle concentrations in the southern TP are much lower than those in the northern TP, but still much higher than those in Greenland and Antarctica. The seasonal and spatial microparticle variations are clearly related to the variations of atmospheric circulation according to the air mass 5-day backward trajectory analyses of HYSPLIT Model. Resultingly, the high microparticle values in snow are mainly attributed to the westerlies and the strong dust storm outbreaks on the TP, while the monsoon circulation brings great amount of precipitation from the Indian Ocean, thus reducing in the aerosol concentrations.  相似文献

In order to study the karstological processes within the karst ecological system,the geohazards and degradation of karst landscapes on the karst areas of the Bakony mountains(Hungary),we investigated the abiotic elements of the environment,soil and cover deposits,erosion soil decay;the changes in the quantity and quality of karst waters:contamination at swallow holes,contamination of karst springs;and the biogenic factors:surface vegetation coverage by the corine land cover method,plant-ecological examinations,qualification of surface waters with the help of biological water labeling.We recognized that the increasing human activities during the past few centuries have had significant impact on the investigated landscapes of karst areas because of their spatial sensitivity.In the scope of our research we concluded that the landscape changes due to natural and human effects can vary strongly on the different karst areas.These differences can arise from the climatic and geomorphologic situation,the coverlayer’s qualities,etc.,but primarily from the different utilization of the investigated karst areas(e.g.the intensity,characteristics and territorial extension of utilization).On the spot investigation we detected traces of new and fast geomorphological processes(gully formation,landslides,collapses,new sinkhole development) and landforms(sinkholes,gullies,swallow holes),which are clear evidences of the effect of climatic changes.  相似文献

Abstract— In addition to the Mg‐, Al‐, 16O‐rich spinels that are known to occur in refractory inclusions, the Murchison meteorite contains Cr‐rich, 16O‐poor spinels, most of whose sources are unknown because they are rarely found in situ. Here we report the in situ occurrence in Allende of Cr‐rich spinels, found in 13 chondrules and 4 “olivine‐rich objects”. The Allende spinels exhibit major and minor element contents, isotopic compositions, and zoning of Crb>2b>Ob>3b> contents like those of the Cr‐spinels from Murchison. Some chondrules contain patchy‐zoned spinel (Simon et al., 1994), which suggests that such grains did not form by sintering but perhaps by formation of overgrowths on relic grains. Unlike the olivine‐rich objects, phases in all three chondrules that were analyzed by ion microprobe have uniform, near‐normal O‐isotopic compositions. One olivine‐rich object, ALSP1, has a huge (1 mm) fragment of chevron‐zoned spinel. This spinel has near‐normal O‐isotopic compositions that are quite distinct from those of adjacent forsteritic olivine, which are relatively 16O‐rich and plot on the calcium‐aluminum‐inclusion (CAI) line, like some isolated forsterite grains found in Allende. The spinel and olivine in this object are therefore not genetically related to each other. Another olivine‐rich object, ALSP11A, contains a rectangular, 150 ×s 100 μm, homogeneous spinel grain with 50 wt% Crb>2b>Ob>3b> and 23 wt% FeO in a vuggy aggregate of finer‐grained (5–90 μm), FeO‐rich (Fob>47–55b>) olivine. The magnesian core of one olivine grain has a somewhat 16O‐rich isotopic composition like that of the large spinel, whereas the FeO‐rich olivine is relatively 16O‐poor. The composition of the spinel in ALSP11A plots on the CAI line, the first Cr‐rich spinel found to do so. Chevron‐zoned spinel has not been observed in chondrules, and it is unlikely that either ALSP1 or ALSP11A were ever molten. Calculations show that a spinel with the composition of that in ALSP1 can condense at 1780 K at a Ptot of 10?3 atm and a dust/gas ratio of 100 relative to solar. The Cr‐rich spinel in ALSP11A could condense at ~1420 K, but this would require a dust/gas enrichment of 1000 relative to solar. The data presented here confirm that, as in Murchison, the coarse Cr‐rich spinels in Allende are relatively 16O‐depleted and are isotopically distinct from the 16O‐enriched MgAlb>2b>Ob>4b> from CAIs. Sample ALSP11A may represent a third population, one that is Cr‐rich and plots on the CAI line. That the O‐isotopic composition of ALSP1 is like those of Cr‐rich spinels from chondrules indicates that O‐isotopic compositions cannot be used to distinguish whether grains from such unequilibrated objects are condensates or are fragments from a previous generation of chondrules.  相似文献

For the study of the non-linear response of inclined tethers subjected to parametric excitation in submerged floating tunnels,a theoretical model for coupled tube-tether vibration is developed.Upon the assumption that the static equilibrium position of the tether is a quadratic parabola,the governing differential equations of the tether motion are derived by use of the Hamilton principle.An approximate numerical solution is obtained by use of Galerkin method and Runge-kutta method.The results show that,when the static equilibrimn position of the tether is assumed to be a quadratic parabola,the tether sag effect on its vibration may be reflected;the tether sag results in the asymmetry of tether vibration amplitude;for the reduction of the tether amplitude,the buoyant unit weight of the tether should approach to zero as far as possible during the design.  相似文献

Pipes inevitably encounter high ambient pressure and bending moment during the deepwater pipe-laying process,which can lead to elliptical buckling and even deterioration failure.For the safety of pipe-laying operation,available formalas for the pipe stability are established on the basis of the assumption of uniform deformation along the tube length and symmetrical buckling.This method can predict the nonlinear rcsponse of elliptical collapse of steel circular tubes for different ratios of diameter to thickness (D/t) under pure bending or combined bending and external pressure.In these formulas,the strain-displacement relationship is deduced from the nonlinear ring theory,and the Ramberg-Osgood constitutive model is applied to simulate the inelastic material behavior.Meanwhile,the principle of virtual work is adopted to derive the equilibrium equations.A set of equations is solved by the Newton-Raphson method,and the iterative scheme contains nested iteration for the constitutive relation.In order to check the effectiveness of this theoretical method,illustrative examples are presented in this paper.Besides,the numerical simulation is carried out by use of ANSYS.A comparison of the results shows that the theoretical method can provide reasonable prediction for engineering practice.  相似文献

Macro-and Micro-Properties of Two Natural Marine Clays in China   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
In this paper,macro- and micro- properties of natural marine clay in two different and representative regions of China are investigated in detail.In addition to in-situ tests,soil samples are collected by use of Shelby tubes for laboratory examination in Shanghai and Zhuhai respectively,two coastal cities in China.In the laboratory tests,macro-properties such as consolidation characteristics and undrained shear strength are measured.Moreover,X-ray diffraction test,scanning electron microscope test,and mercury intrusion test are carried out for the investigation of their micro-properties including clay minerals and microstructure.The study shows that:(1) both clays are Holocene series formations,classified as either normal or underconsolidated soils.The initial gradient of the stress-strain curves shows their increase with increasing consolidation pressure;however,the Shanghai and the Zhuhai clays are both structural soils with the latter shown to be more structured than the former.As a result,the Zhuhai clay shows strain softening behavior at low confining pressures,but strain hardening at high pressures.In contrast,the Shanghai clay mainly manifests strain-hardening.(2) An activity ranges from 0.75 to 1.30 for the Shanghai marine clay and from 0.5 to 0.85 for the Zhuhai marine clay.The main clay mineral is illite in the Shanghai clay and kaolinite in the Zhuhai clay.The Zhuhai clay is mainly characterized by a flocculated structure,while the typical Shanghai clay shows a dispersed structure.The porous structure of the Shanghai clay is characterized mainly by large and medium-sized pores,while the Zhuhai clay porous structure is mainly featreed by small and medium-sized pores.The differences in their macro- and micro- properties can he attributed to different sedimentation environments.  相似文献
