We provide a detailed derivation of the analytical expansion of the lunar and solar disturbing functions. Although there exist several papers on this topic, many derivations contain mistakes in the final expansion or rather (just) in the proof, thereby necessitating a recasting and correction of the original derivation. In this work, we provide a self-consistent and definite form of the lunisolar expansion. We start with Kaula’s expansion of the disturbing function in terms of the equatorial elements of both the perturbed and perturbing bodies. Then we give a detailed proof of Lane’s expansion, in which the elements of the Moon are referred to the ecliptic plane. Using this approach the inclination of the Moon becomes nearly constant, while the argument of perihelion, the longitude of the ascending node, and the mean anomaly vary linearly with time. We make a comparison between the different expansions and we profit from such discussion to point out some mistakes in the existing literature, which might compromise the correctness of the results. As an application, we analyze the long-term motion of the highly elliptical and critically-inclined Molniya orbits subject to quadrupolar gravitational interactions. The analytical expansions presented herein are very powerful with respect to dynamical studies based on Cartesian equations, because they quickly allow for a more holistic and intuitively understandable picture of the dynamics. 相似文献

The long-term dynamics of the geostationary Earth orbits (GEO) is revisited through the application of canonical perturbation theory. We consider a Hamiltonian model accounting for all major perturbations: geopotential at order and degree two, lunisolar perturbations with a realistic model for the Sun and Moon orbits, and solar radiation pressure. The long-term dynamics of the GEO region has been studied both numerically and analytically, in view of the relevance of such studies to the issue of space debris or to the disposal of GEO satellites. Past studies focused on the orbital evolution of objects around a nominal solution, hereafter called the forced equilibrium solution, which shows a particularly strong dependence on the area-to-mass ratio. Here, we (i) give theoretical estimates for the long-term behavior of such orbits, and (ii) we examine the nature of the forced equilibrium itself. In the lowest approximation, the forced equilibrium implies motion with a constant non-zero average ‘forced eccentricity’, as well as a constant non-zero average inclination, otherwise known in satellite dynamics as the inclination of the invariant ‘Laplace plane’. Using a higher order normal form, we demonstrate that this equilibrium actually represents not a point in phase space, but a trajectory taking place on a lower-dimensional torus. We give analytical expressions for this special trajectory, and we compare our results to those found by numerical orbit propagation. We finally discuss the use of proper elements, i.e., approximate integrals of motion for the GEO orbits. 相似文献

The prokaryotic community, both in terms of abundance and activity (exoenzymatic hydrolysis of proteins, polysaccharides and phosphorylated molecules and leucine uptake), was investigated seasonally for a 3‐year period (2004–2006) in the Gulf of Venice (northern Adriatic Sea). By focusing on spatial and temporal variability, the prokaryote dynamics showed significant variations on a horizontal and seasonal scale, but no substantial differences were observed among years. The basin‐scale variability was mainly influenced by allochthonous inputs from the Po river and the Venice Lagoon, which were the main source of nutrients, acting as a ‘bottom up’ control on prokaryotes. On a seasonal scale, all the microbial parameters (except the polysaccharide degradation) showed significant variations following the temperature fluctuations. The annual rate of change was very low for all the chemical, physical and biological parameters and only the abundance and phosphatase activity of the prokaryotes differed significantly among years. 相似文献

We perform an analysis of the dynamics of the circular, restricted, planar three-body problem under the effect of different
kinds of dissipation (linear, Stokes and Poynting–Robertson drags). Since the problem is singular, we implement a regularization
technique in the style of Levi–Civita. The effect of the dissipation is often to decrease the semi-major axis; as a consequence
the minor body collides with one of the primaries. In general, it is quite difficult to find non-collision orbits using random
initial conditions. However, by means of the computation of the Fast Lyapunov Indicators (FLI), we obtain a global view of
the dynamics. Precisely, we detect the regions of the phase space potentially belonging to basins of attraction. This investigation
provides information on the different regions of the phase space, showing both collision and non-collision trajectories. Moreover,
we find periodic orbit attractors for the case of linear and Stokes drags, while in the case of the Poynting–Robertson effect
no other attractors are found beside the primaries, unless a fourth body is added to counterbalance the dissipative effect. 相似文献

During a research cruise carried out in April 2010, aimed at updating the knowledge on the biodiversity of the Santa Maria di Leuca (SML) cold‐water coral province (Mediterranean Sea), a facies of the sea pen Kophobelemnon stelliferum (Muller, 1776) was found on mud‐dominated bottoms. This finding represents a new species and a new habitat record from the SML coral province as well as a new bathyal facies in the whole Central Mediterranean Sea. The colonies were collected using an epi‐benthic sledge, at depths between 400 and 470 m. A significant positive relationship between polyp number and colony length was detected. Density of the colonies ranged from 0.003 to 0.038 N·m?2. Differences and affinities between Mediterranean and Atlantic occurrences of K. stelliferum are discussed. 相似文献

The possibility of communicating with the far side of the Moon is essential for keeping a continuous radio link with lunar
orbiting spacecraft, as well as with manned or unmanned surface facilities in locations characterized by poor coverage from
Earth. If the exploration and the exploitation of the Moon must be sustainable in the medium/long term, we need to develop
the capability to realize and service such facilities at an affordable cost. Minimizing the spacecraft mass and the number
of launches is a driving parameter to this end. The aim of this study is to show how Space Manifold Dynamics can be profitably
applied in order to launch three small spacecraft onboard the same launch vehicle and send them to different orbits around
the Moon with no significant difference in the Delta-V budgets. Internal manifold transfers are considered to minimize also
the transfer time. The approach used is the following: we used the linearized solution of the equations of motion in the Circular
Restricted Three Body Problem to determine a first–guess state vector associated with the Weak Stability Boundary regions,
either around the collinear Lagrangian point L1 or around the Moon. The resulting vector is then used as initial state in
a numerical backward-integration sequence that outputs a trajectory on a manifold. The dynamical model used in the numerical
integration is four-body and non-circular, i.e. the perturbations of the Sun and the lunar orbital eccentricity are accounted
for. The trajectory found in this way is used as the principal segment of the lunar transfer. After separation, with minor
maneuvers each satellite is injected into different orbits that lead to ballistic capture around the Moon. Finally, one or
more circularization maneuvers are needed in order to achieve the final circular orbits. The whole mission profile, from launch
to insertion into the final lunar orbits, is modeled numerically with the commercial software STK. 相似文献

We investigate the rotational dynamics of a triaxial planet moving on a Keplerian orbit around its star. The dynamics is ruled by several parameters, like the eccentricity, the obliquity, the non-principal rotation, the angular momentum, etc. We consider two specific cases in which the planet is symmetric or asymmetric, according to whether two moments of inertia coincide or differs from each other. We study the dynamics by constructing maps of dynamical stability based on the computation of the maximum Lyapunov characteristic number versus some typical parameters. The results show that only specific resonances appear in the symmetric case, while the asymmetric case shows a much richer phenomenology. 相似文献

Archaeological and instrumental data indicate that the southern sector of the volcanic island of Lipari has been subsiding for the last 2100 years due to isostatic and tectonic factors, at variable rates of up to ~11 mm a?1. Based on this data, a detailed marine flooding scenario for 2100 AD is provided for the bay of Marina Lunga in the eastern part of the island from (1) an ultra‐high‐resolution Digital Terrain and Marine Model (DTMM) generated from multibeam bathymetry (MB) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), (2) the rate of land subsidence from Global Positioning System (GPS) data and (3) the regional sea‐level projections of the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). When land subsidence is considered, the upper bound of sea‐level rise is estimated at 1.36 m and 1.60 m for RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 climate change scenarios, respectively. Here, we show the expected impact of marine flooding at Lipari for the next 85 years and discuss the hazard implications for the population living along the shore. 相似文献

Structural engineering problems are always affected by many sources of uncertainty, such as aleatory of material properties, applied loads and earthquake intensity, therefore, seismic assessment of structures should be based on probabilistic methods. Since PBSD (Performance‐based Seismic Design) philosophy was formulated, many researches have been conducted in this field in order to develop simple and accurate procedures for evaluating structural reliability. An important contribution has been provided by Jalayer and Cornell, who have developed a closed‐form expression to evaluate the mean annual frequency of exceeding a defined limit state. In this paper, by assuming the record‐to‐record variability as the only source of uncertainty, the seismic reliability of concentrically braced frames designed according to traditional and innovative methodologies is investigated, and a comparison between their performances is presented. In particular, two design methodologies have been applied: Eurocode 8 provisions and a new design methodology based on a rigorous application of ‘capacity design’ criteria. A method for obtaining the directional spectrum, on assuming that the frequencies of the elementary waves are all different from one another, is re-proposed in a form suitable for applications to sea states near a coast. The method is applied to an interval of 10 h during which the sea state remained basically steady state off the beach at Reggio Calabria (east coast of the Straits of Messina). It is shown that the directional spectrum converges as the length of the time series data grows. A numerical simulation of a 10 h sea state confirms that the directional spectrum converges as the length of the time series grows, and the convergence is onto the known directional spectrum used to make the numerical simulation. Through the numerical simulation, it is proved that the method, generally, is suitable for applications even with short time series of wind waves (duration of about 100Tp). Finally, it is shown that the method is not necessarily inadequate even with short records of multimodal sea states with different modal directions, modal amplitude ratios and intermodal distances. 相似文献
