We developed a multi-trophic level ecosystem model by coupling physical, biogeochemical-plankton and fish models. An oceanic general circulation model was coupled with a lower trophic level ecosystem model and a Japanese sardine migration model, and applied to the western North Pacific. To investigate the impact of global warming on the pelagic fish ecosystem, such as Japanese sardine, we conducted numerical experiments of growth and migration of Japanese sardine using physical fields for the present day and future with a global warming scenario simulated by a high-resolution climate model. The model results demonstrated possible impacts of global warming on the growth and migration pattern of Japanese sardine. The growths of fish in the current main spawning region under the global warming scenario were significantly slower than those under the present climate scenario. Fish in this region will be at disadvantage for their recruitment under the global warming condition. Prey conditions in the spawning region were projected not to markedly change under global warming condition while water temperature increased. As a result sardine spawning ground was projected to shift towards more north areas. During the feeding migration period in summer, geographical distribution of juveniles fish was projected to shift northwards by one to two degrees latitude under the global warming condition following the change in the distribution of optimal temperature region for feeding. However, this northwards shift of the optimal temperature for feeding was minimized adjacent to the western North Pacific by the cooler water supply by the intensification of the Oyashio.  相似文献

A series of in-situ high temperature infrared (IR) measurements of water in an agate sample and in a milky quartz has been conducted in order to understand the nature of water in silica at high temperatures (50–700?°C) and the dehydration behavior. IR absorption bands of water molecules trapped in the milky quartz showed a systematic decrease in intensities and a shift from 3425?cm?1 at 50?°C toward 3590?cm?1 at 700?°C without any loss of water. This indicates a change in IR absorption coefficients corresponding to different polymeric states of water at different temperatures. The broad 3430?cm?1 band in the agate sample also showed a systematic decrease in IR intensity and a band shift toward higher frequency with increasing temperature (~700?°C). This indicates that the agate sample also contains fluid inclusion-like water. For this agate sample, a dehydration of loosely hydrogen-bonded molecular water occurred at lower temperatures (<200?°C). At higher temperatures (>400?°C), sharp bands around 3660 and 3725?cm?1 (3740?cm?1 at 50?°C) due to surface silanols, appeared. This indicates dehydration of H2O molecules that are hydrogen bonded to surface silanols. SiOH species in the agate are divided into three groups, namely SiOH group located at structural defects, surface silanols hydrogen bonded to each other and free surface silanols. Former two dehydrate below 700?°C and the dehydration rate of the SiOH at structural defects is faster than the other. IR spectra show that SiOH species decrease continuously even after the dehydration of most of H2O molecules. All these results provide realistic bases for the change in physicochemical states of different OH species in silica at high temperatures.  相似文献

Interdiffusion coefficients of Al + Al vs. Mg + Si in the gehlenite–åkermanite system of melilite were determined by coupled annealing of synthesized end-member single crystals. The observed diffusion coefficients for a couple-annealed sample vary for about 2 orders of magnitude, showing strong dependence on the gehlenite–åkermanite composition: diffusion coefficient observed at 1350 °C, for example, is 3 × 10?13 cm2 s?1 at 5 mol% åkermanite composition (Ak5), increases to 2 × 10?11 cm2 s?1 at Ak80, and then decreases to 1 × 10?12 cm2 s?1 at Ak95. The diffusion coefficient–temperature relation indicates high activation energy of diffusion of about 420 kJ mol?1 for gehlenite-rich melilite. The observed diffusion coefficient–composition relation may be explained by a combination of (1) the diffusion coefficient–melting temperature relation (Flynn's rule) and (2) the feasibility of local charge compensation, which can possibly be maintained more easily in the intermediate chemical composition. The high activation energy value for gehlenitic melilite appears to correspond to the complex diffusion mechanism. The observed highly variable diffusion coefficients suggest that gehlenite–åkermanite zoning in the melilite crystals in Ca, Al-rich inclusions in the carbonaceous meteorites may provide a sensitive indicator for the thermal history of the inclusions.  相似文献

Accurate measurements of cell parameters were performed on the ilmenite phases of ZnSiO3 and MgGeO3 using an X-ray diffraction method under hydrostatic conditions. The linear changes in cell parameter are represented by 1?a/a 0=(1.06±0.04)×10?4 P(kbar) and 1?c/c 0=(2.11±0.04)×10?4 P for ZnSiO3, and 1?a/a 0=(1.37±0.03)×10?4 P and 1?c/c 0=(2.05±0.04)×10?4 P for MgGeO3. A least-squares calculation using the first-order Birch-Murnaghan equation gives K T =2.16±0.02 Mbar and K T =1.87±0.02 Mbar for ZnSiO3 and MgGeO3, respectively. Elastic systematics assuming K T V m =constant give a predicted value K T =2.14 Mbar for the ilmenite phase of MgSiO3.  相似文献

The chaotic dynamics of the Rikitake two-disc dynamo system is studied for a wide range of parameters and results are compared with the sequence of geomagnetic polarity reversals. The chaos of the Rikitake system belongs to the Lorenz type, which is characterized by irregular travelling of an orbit between two unstable fixed points. Travelling corresponds to the polarity reversal. The frequency of the polarity reversals depends strongly on the parameter μ representing the resistive dissipation in the core. In the center of the chaotic regime, there is a parameter region in which reversals seldom occur and the dynamics is less disordered. The Markov entropy of the Lorenz map for the system has a sharp minimum in this parameter region named as the minimum entropy regime (M.E.R.). The average frequency of reversals in the M.E.R. is less than 0.1 per cycle of oscillation, but is not uniform even seen through a 10-m.y.-long window. The non-uniformity as well as the low rate of reversals in the M.E.R. markedly resemble the behavior of geomagnetic reversals over the past 153 m.y. It is suggested that the Earth selected the minimum entropy regime on the principle of the minimum entropy production, as is known to be the case for other dissipative dynamical systems.  相似文献

Shock loading experiments on single crystal ilmenite (FeTiO3) are carried out up to peak pressures of 80 GPa using a newly built two-stage light gas gun. Shock effects are investigated by means of X-ray precission technique and Mössbauer spectroscopy. Shock effects are largely controlled by the anisotropic nature of the ilmenite structure. Considerable deformations are observed even in a pressure level of 30 GPa in the shocked crystal when the shock propagation direction is parallel to the c axis, whereas little effects are seen up to 55 GPa when the crystal is shocked parallel to the c plane (cleavage plane). The greatest deformation is introduced in the planes containing the c axis, while less remarkable effects are seen in the plane perpendicular to the c axis. Residual effects are favorably compared with the compression anomalies found in the Hugoniot measurements by King and Ahrens (1976). Mössbauer measurements also reveal that a fraction of highly disturbed regions increases with increasing shock loading pressure. These observations are explained in terms of current heterogeneous yielding model of brittle substances under shock loading, where internal fragmentation is preferentially formed so as to give c-platelet domains that are mutually misoriented with each other.  相似文献

Stoichiometric anorthite, CaAl2Si2O8, Pˉ1, with sharp a, b, c, and d diffractions was grown, using a CaV2O6 solvent, by cooling at 2 ° C per hour from 1450 to 750 ° C in air. Euhedral crystals up to 5 × 3× 0.5 mm, with prominent {010} and well-developed {110} and {001}, were obtained by spontaneous nucleation. Nonstoichiometric anorthite with excess SiO2 (CaAl2Si2O8+Si2Si2O8) was grown on the join CaAl2Si2O8-SiO2. Chemical analysis of the synthetic anorthite, having the highest SiO2 content, with maximum vacancies on M-site gave □0.110 Na0.006Ca0.884Al1.80Si2.20O8, and X-ray diffraction showed a trend from stoichiometric Pˉ1 through diffuse Pˉ1 to body-centered Iˉ1 probably reflecting increasing disorder caused by a higher Si/Al ratio in the T-sites and the positional disorder accompanied by M-site vancancies. Annealing of the nonstoichiometric diffuse Iˉ1 anorthite in air at 1050 ° C for 14 days resulted in exsolution of minute SiO2 inclusions due to probable ordering in the T-sites and filling of M-sites by Ca. Stoichiometric Pˉ1 anorthite was not obtained by annealing at 1050 ° due to appreciable solubility of SiO2 in CaAl2Si2O8. Metastable hexagonal CaAl2Si2O8 was found to be a twinned monoclinic crystal with cell dimensions: a = 10.24 (2), b = 17.74 (3), c= 14.99 (5) ?, β = 92.05 (5) °, space group C2.  相似文献

富铌玄武岩是硅过饱和,富Na2O,TiO2,P2O5,同时富集高场强元素的一类岛弧玄武岩,这类玄武岩的w(Nb)>7×10-6,(w(La)/w(Nb))MN<2。它是由来源于70100km深处、受adakite熔体交代过的地幔楔橄榄岩部分熔融形成的,是大洋板块俯冲作用的产物。目前发现的富铌玄武岩大多分布在环太平洋新生代岛弧环境,与洋壳俯冲作用密切相关[1 5]。本研究在准噶尔板块东北缘富蕴县的索尔库都克附近首次发现了富铌玄武岩。它产于下泥盆统托让格库都克组中、上部。该地层自下而上的岩石组合为:玄武岩 火山凝灰角砾岩 火山集块岩 含…  相似文献

Groundwater dominated lakes are an important feature of many landscapes. Their sediments are a particularly valuable source of paleoenvironmental information in semiarid regions where perennial lakes may otherwise be scarce. Where groundwater and lake composition are favorable, carbonate mineral precipitation, evaporative concentration of lake water, and microbial processes can combine to strongly deplete dissolved Ca relative to influent groundwaters. The authigenic carbonate flux (ACF) can then become limited by water column cation availability and thereby be coupled to groundwater inflow rates and aquifer recharge. Here we analyze sedimentary records from two marl-producing, groundwater-controlled lakes and demonstrate a link between one-dimensional ACF and the Palmer Drought Severity Index (PDSI), a measure of land surface wetness. In a restricted outflow lake with high-carbonate alkalinity, ACF is enhanced during historically wet climatic periods in response to increased aquifer recharge rates. ACF in this lake declines during droughts. A neighboring dilute lake with a high rate of groundwater outflow shows comparatively weak coupling between ACF and PDSI history. Ionic chemistry, carbonate mineral equilibria, and δ13C patterns of dissolved inorganic carbon show that the sensitivity of the ACF signal depends on the degree of evaporative evolution of lake water and the mineral saturation state of the water column under conditions of stratification and ice cover.  相似文献
