豫西崤山早元古代中酸性侵入岩锆石/斜锆石U-Pb测年及其对熊耳火山岩系时限的约束 总被引:5,自引:4,他引:1
熊耳火山岩系是华北克拉通早元古代晚期重要的岩浆记录,其火山作用时限的厘定对于揭示华北该时期的构造格局与演化历史有重要意义。对侵入到熊耳火山岩系顶层马家河组的石英闪长岩体中的斜锆石与锆石和花岗斑岩体中的锆石进行了高精度SIMSU-Pb定年。三个样品共58个测点,石英闪长岩体中的斜锆石207Pb/206Pb平均年龄为1789±4Ma,锆石207Pb/206Pb平均年龄1778±12Ma,花岗斑岩体中的锆石207Pb/206Pb平均年龄为1786±8Ma。这些年龄数据表明石英闪长岩体从生成到侵位是一个短暂而连续的过程,这一岩体与花岗斑岩岩体基本同期。同时,由于这两个岩体侵入到了熊耳火山岩系最顶部的马家河组,因此可以限定熊耳火山岩系的上限。结合前人的年代学数据,我们提出熊耳火山岩系的岩浆作用时限在1770~1800Ma之间,峰期为1780Ma。这一研究结果从年代学上支持熊耳火山岩系形成于快速拉张的裂谷环境。 相似文献

Length–weight relationships are a fundamental tool for assessing populations and communities in fisheries science. Many researchers have collected length–weight data throughout New Zealand, yet parameters describing these relationships remain unpublished for many species of freshwater fish. We compiled 285,124 fish records from researchers and institutions across New Zealand to parameterise length–weight equations, using both power and quadratic models, for 53 freshwater species belonging to 13 families. The influence of location and sex on length–weight relationships was also assessed. Location, in particular, generated different length–weight relationships for 65% of the species examined. Length–weight equations were validated by comparing predicted weights against independently measured weights from 25 electrofished sites across New Zealand and the equations were highly accurate (R2>0.99). Recommendations are made about how to robustly apply this new resource which should assist freshwater fisheries researchers throughout New Zealand. 相似文献

Aerial photographs for the year 1965 and 1975 and Landsat TM (FCC) 1986 data on 1:50,000 scale were used to map and monitor the pattern of growth and development of Hisar Town during the last 20 years. The different landuse categories identified are residential, commercial, industrial, recreational, vacant lands etc. The original shape of the town was nucleated one, but presently it is star-shaped, which is due to extension of the urban centre along the radiating roads. It has mainly elongated itself along the Delhi and Rajgarh roads. The presence of Government Livestock Farm (GLF), Equine Breeding Farm and HAU Farm towards North-west of the town has completely checked its growth on these sides. The total residential-cum-commercial area has nearly doubled during 1965–1975 and trebled by 1986. The change in net area under different types of urban land-use categories, described above has also been calculated. Degraded scrub lands and sandy wasteland on the fringes of the town have been identified where further development can be planned to avoid encroachment on good agricultural lands. Recommendations have been given for future urban planning of the town. 相似文献

Quantitative study of a rapidly weathering overhang developed in an artificially wetted sandstone cliff 下载免费PDF全文
Those factors controlling the weathering and erosion of sandstone on the field scale are still not well understood. In this study, a specific sandstone overhang (and its surroundings) with artificially induced and extremely high erosion rates was subjected to a complex investigation. Contrast between the erosion rate of the wet and dry portions of the same cliff enabled isolation of the factors responsible for rapid sandstone retreat. Erosion rates, moisture, and salt content, as well as suction were monitored in the field. Mineral phases and water chemistry were analyzed. The measurement of tensile strength, laboratory frost weathering tests, and numerical modeling of stress were performed. The acquired data show that an increase of moisture content in pores in the area of the studied overhang decreased tensile strength of the sandstone to 14% of its dry value, and increases the sandstone weathering and erosion rate, by nearly four orders of magnitude, compared to the same sandstone under natural moisture conditions outside of the cliff area. Consequently, frost weathering, in combination with wetting weakening was found to play a major role in weathering/erosion of the sandstone cliff and overhang. Frost weathering rate in both the laboratory and field increases up to 15 times with decreasing gravity‐induced stress. The results also indicate that sandstone landforms in temperate climates may potentially develop very rapidly if the pore space is nearly saturated with water, and will later remain relatively stable when the moisture content decreases. As a general implication, it is suggested that overhangs in Central Europe (and elsewhere) might be the result of rapid frost weathering of nearly saturated sandstone during the Last Glacial. Slightly inclined Holocene marine terraces cover parts of two circular salt diapirs (Hormoz and Namakdan) in the Persian Gulf. Their relative altitude above present sea level results from a combination of general marine transgression/regression affecting the whole area, and of local uplift related to salt diapirism. Differential uplift rate of the studied diapirs in centre‐to‐rim profiles was calculated from results based on: (i) radiocarbon ages of skeletal remains of benthic faunas (19 samples), which originally grew close to sea level; (ii) original altitude of samples, estimated from general sea‐level oscillation curves for the last 10 kyr, and (iii) present sample altitude measured in the field. Calculated uplift rates increase from rim to centre on both diapirs in the range from: 2 mm yr?1 at the rim to 5–6 mm yr?1 at the interior of Hormoz, and 1–3 mm yr?1 at the rim to 3–5 mm yr?1 at the interior of Namakdan. Such uplift rate distributions fit into the parabolic profile of Newtonian fluid rather than to profiles typical for pseudoplastic fluids. The increase in uplift rate with distance from rim to centre of diapirs is gradual as demonstrated also by generally smooth surface of marine terraces. No tectonic dissections were found. The depositional history on both salt diapirs is similar although they are situated more than 100 km apart. Marine sedimentation started at about 9.6k cal. yr BP on Hormoz and at 8.6k cal. yr BP on Namakdan. Owing to rapid transgression, the sea partially truncated both salt diapirs and rapidly deepened, and carbonate mud was deposited on the peripheries of both salt diapirs. Between 7 and 5k cal. yr BP beach deposition replaced carbonate mud. Soon after 5k cal. yr BP, the sea retreated from most of the marine terraces on both salt diapirs. A new set of three-dimensional velocity models beneath Mt. Etna volcano is derived in the present work. We have used P- and S-wave arrivals from local earthquakes recorded at permanent and temporary seismic networks installed since 1980. A set of 1249 earthquakes recorded at more than four seismic stations was selected for traveltime inversion. The velocity models obtained by using different data selection criteria and parametrization display similar basic features, showing a high P-wave velocity at shallow depth in the SE quadrant, in close connection with a high gravimetric Bouguer anomaly. This area shares a low Vp/Vs ratio. High P-wave velocities and high Vp/Vs ratios are obtained along the central conduits, suggesting the presence of dense, intrusive magmatic bodies extending to a depth of about 20 km. The central intrusive core is surrounded by lower P-wave velocities. The relocated earthquake hypocenters also display the presence of an outward dipping brittle region, away from the central conduits, surrounding a ductile zone spatially related to the high P-wave velocity anomalies located in proximity to the central craters. 相似文献

A hindcast study of extreme wave conditions in the Tyrrhenian Sea is described. The paper covers the different steps of the work, including the identification and the statistics of the weather patterns in the area, the choice of the storms to be hindcasted, the wind and wave models, a check of the best extremal distributions for the estimate of the extreme values probability, and the estimate of the accuracy of the final results. Salt exposures and weathering residuum on several salt diapirs in different geographic/climatic settings were studied. Anhydrite,
gypsum, hematite, calcite, dolomite, quartz, and clay minerals are the main constituents of the weathering residuum covering
the salt diapirs in various thicknesses. Erosion rates of residuum as well as of rock salt exposures were measured at selected
sites for a period of 5 years by plastic pegs as benchmarks. Recorded data were standardized to a horizontal surface and to
long-term mean precipitation. For the rock salt exposures the following long-term denudation rates were determined of 30–40 mm a−1 for coastal diapirs and up to 120 mm a−1 for mountain salt diapirs. Long-term mean superficial denudation rate measured on weathering residuum of low thickness reached
3.5 mm a−1 on coastal diapirs. The total denudation rate estimated for the thin residuum is close to 4–7 mm a−1 based on apparent correlation with the uplift rate on Hormoz and Namakdan diapirs. Denudation of rock salt exposures is much
faster compared to parts of diapirs covered by weathering residuum. The extent of salt exposures is an important factor in
the morphological evolution of salt diapirs as it can inhibit further expansion of the diapir. Salt exposures produce huge
amounts of dissolved and clastic load, thus affecting the surrounding of the diapir. 相似文献
