Zusammenfassung Das Tuffvorkommen vom Heilsberg bei Gottmadingen im Hegau wurde neu kartiert und mineralogisch untersucht. Die Korngrößenverteilung zeigt ein deutliches Maximum bei 0,6–1,2 mm. Der Tuff besteht aus 40% magmatogenem Material und 60% Bestandteilen des durchschlagenen Untergrundes. Die magmatogenen Komponenten sind 17% Einzehnineralien, 10% Grundmasse und 13 % Auswürflinge. Unter den Einzelmineralien wiegt der Pyroxen (Fassait) vor, daneben kommen Amphibol, Biotit und Magnetit, ferner Apatit und Analcim sowie einige seltenere Mineralien vor. Für Pyroxen, Amphibol, Biotit und Magnetit werden chemische Analyse und optische Eigenschaften mitgeteilt. Die größte Menge der magmatogenen Auswürflinge sind kugelförmige Lapilli, die hinsichtlich ihrer Entstehung genauer untersucht und chemisch analysiert wurden. Seltener sind grobkristalline, dunkle und belle Bomben, deren Mineralgehalt und chemische Zusammonsetzung genauer beschrieben werden. Sic stellen wahrscheinlich Differentiate des Heilsbergmagmas dar. Die ehemals glasige, magmatogene Grundmasse des Tuffs liegt heute als ein Gemenge von Montmorillonit und Calcit vor.Aus den nichtmagmatogenen Bestandteilen kann auf den Untergrund im Bereich des Heilsbergvulkans geschlossen werden. Aus dem Deckgebirge wurden Tertiär, Mahn, Dogger, Jura, Keuper und Muschelkalk nachgewiesen. Das Grund-gebirge besteht hauptsächlich aus granodioritischen bis granitischen Gesteinen und enthält auffallenderweise nur wenig Gneise. Der Herd der Eruption dürfte mindestens 4000 m tief liegen.Der Chemismus des Heilsbergmagmas ist hornblenditisch. Es ist dem Magma der Melilithite verwandt und leitet zu den Phonolithen des Hegau über. Das Gestein ist als hornblenditischer Pyroxen-Analcim-Tuff zu bezeichnen.Zwei unabhängige Bestimmungen nach der K-Ar-Methode ergaben für den Biotit des Tuffs ein obermiozänes Alter von 14,0 bzw. 14,5 Mill. Between June 2004 and September 2004 a temporary seismic network was installed on the northern insular shelf of Iceland and onshore in north Iceland. The seismic setup aimed at resolving the subsurface structure and, thus, the geodynamical transition from Icelandic crust to typical oceanic crust along Kolbeinsey Ridge. The experiment recorded about 1,000 earthquakes. The region encloses the Tjörnes Fracture Zone containing the Husavik–Flatey strike-slip fault and the extensional seismic Grimsey Lineament. Most of the seismicity occurs in swarms offshore. Preliminary results reveal typical mid-ocean crust north of Grimsey and a heterogeneous structure with major velocity anomalies along the seismic lineaments and north–south trending subsurface features. Complementary bathymetric mapping highlight numerous extrusion features along the Grimsey Lineament and Kolbeinsey Ridge. The seismic dataset promises to deliver new insights into the tectonic framework for earthquakes in an extensional transform zone along the global mid-ocean ridge system. 相似文献

The Acid-Producing Potential (APP) and the Acid-Consuming Capacity (ACC) are introduced as basic parameters for long-term
pollution assessment of mud disposal. They can be obtained by a four-step sequential leaching technique. The concentration
of Ca extracted by the first Na-acetate step permits calculating the ACC. Both the Fe- and S-fractions deliberated by subsequent
leaching steps are used to calculate the APP. When the APP of a sample is substacted from its ACC, a negative value indicates

The first large-scale international intercomparison of analytical methods for the determination of dissolved iron in seawater was carried out between October 2000 and December 2002. The exercise was conducted as a rigorously “blind” comparison of 7 analytical techniques by 24 international laboratories. The comparison was based on a large volume (700 L), filtered surface seawater sample collected from the South Atlantic Ocean (the “IRONAGES” sample), which was acidified, mixed and bottled at sea. Two 1-L sample bottles were sent to each participant. Integrity and blindness were achieved by having the experiment designed and carried out by a small team, and overseen by an independent data manager. Storage, homogeneity and time-series stability experiments conducted over 2.5 years showed that inter-bottle variability of the IRONAGES sample was good (< 7%), although there was a decrease in iron concentration in the bottles over time (0.8–0.5 nM) before a stable value was observed. In an attempt to learn more about the cytochrome P450 (CYP) system of mussels, we used protein databases and alignment software to extract highly conserved CYP sequences. From these alignments synthetic peptides were produced and used for rabbit immunisation, which yielded polyclonal antibodies against the CYP families 2 and 4. The antibodies were evaluated with Western Blot and ELISA assays, using digestive gland microsomal samples from the mussel Mytilus edulis. Western Blots revealed immunoreactions for both antibodies. The anti-CYP2 sequence rendered one major immunopositive protein of approximately 49 kDa size, and weak signals for proteins of approximately 41 and 56 kDa size. The anti-CYP4 sequence rendered two major bands of approximately 56 and 59 kDa size, and also a weak immunoreaction with a protein of approximately 43 kDa size. ELISA rendered only weak signals even with a 1:50 dilution of IgG-purified serum. A 10-day exposure to Aroclor 1254 did not appear to affect any of the immunopositive proteins, while total PCBs in soft bodies increased from 14-40 ng/g DW in controls to 373-638 ng/g DW in exposed mussels. 相似文献

The sea floor of Fram Strait, the over 2500 m deep passage between the Arctic Ocean and the Norwegian-Greenland Sea, is part of a complex transform zone between the Knipovich mid-oceanic ridge of the Norwegian-Greenland Sea and the Nansen-Gakkel Ridge of the Arctic Ocean. Because linear magnetic anomalies formed by sea-floor spreading have not been found, the precise location of the boundary between the Eurasian and the North American plate is unknown in this region. Systematic surveying of Fram Strait with SEABEAM and high resolution seismic profiling began in 1984 and continued in 1985 and 1987, providing detailed morphology of the Fram Strait sea floor and permitting better definition of its morphotectonics. The 1984 survey presented in this paper provided a complete set of bathymetric data from the southernmost section of the Svalbard Transform, including the Molloy Fracture Zone, connecting the Knipovich Ridge to the Molloy Ridge; and the Molloy Deep, a nodal basin formed at the intersection of the Molloy Transform Fault and the Molloy Ridge.
