Dissolved aromatic compounds in Hungarian thermal waters were first reported more than 10 years ago. Among the identified compounds were alkylbenzene, polyaromatic hydrocarbon and heteroaromatic homologue series. The appearance of dissolved organic compounds has been bound to a threshold temperature of ∼80 °C, and their distribution is controlled by the water temperature. Relative demethylation and aromatisation were observed with increasing temperature. The origin of these compounds is not proved. Among precursor candidates are humic substances.Simulation experiments were carried out on humic and fulvic acid and on their mixture to gain information on aromatic compounds formed. The samples were heated and products were measured with GC-MS.In the presence of oxygen, increasing concentration of benzene can be observed as a function of temperature. Toluene and thiophene can be identified, other alkylbenzenes are missing. Under reductive conditions the concentration of benzene, toluene and the ratio of short to long chained aromatics generally increases in every sample as a function of temperature. Main compounds are toluene and benzene. The amount of heteroaromatic compounds increases with temperature, but their relative concentration compared to aromatic hydrocarbons decreases. At higher temperatures the proportion of pyrroles drops and S and O containing ones become dominant.The different processes (formation, aromatisation, polycondensation, relative demethylation, decomposition) occur in parallel but their relative intensities vary as a function of temperature. The effects of duration and increasing temperature are similar but not equal: both demethylation and aromatisation can be observed.  相似文献

Trace element data for stream sediment samples collected from 6 river basins situated in geomorphologically and climatologically different terrains of Sri Lanka were analyzed to identify a suitable geochemical ratio to delineate potential areas for gems. All the areas are located in high grade metamorphic terrains with different lithologies. Correlations between different elements were studied using Spearman rank correlation and elements showing consistent high correlations were selected to calculate element ratios that can be used to discriminate areas with different potentials for gems. It was noted that the Rb, Ba, Sr, and the Ti, Nb, Zr element groups have high correlations between them. From the calculated ratios Ba/Sr, Rb/Sr and RbxBa/Sr2 were identified as being useful. The best ratio was determined considering the discrimination %, and representation of within category gem potential variation.Results show that RbxBa/Sr2 is the best ratio and a value greater than 4 represents gem potential areas while a ratio less than 1 represents low/no potential areas. Application of these results to the locations where test gem pits were validated this empirical rule.  相似文献

概述了中国气象科学研究院 (简称气科院) 近30年来有关大气化学和大气环境研究成果。该院完成了国家自然科学基金重大项目和科技部973项目等一系列重要研究项目, 做出了许多具有重大创新性的成果:在青藏高原发现“臭氧低谷”, 这一重大发现列为当年中国10大科技成果之一; 首次把环境、生态、气候几个重要领域进行综合研究, 发现人类活动对环境造成的变化改变了生态环境状态, 最终对区域气候造成影响; 对北京市大气污染机理和调控原理进行了深入研究, 在三维立体观测基础上, 提出了点-面结合与统计-动力综合分析, 地面观测-卫星遥感分析方法及模式新技术等, 获取了解决大气环境领域关键技术难点的创新成果; 建立了全球第一个大陆大气本底基准观象台即瓦里关本底台, 开创了我国全球大气本底业务观测等。几十年来气科院大气化学研究工作几乎涵盖了当前大气化学所有重要领域及其前沿学科, 其中包括温室气体、臭氧和反应性气体、气溶胶、酸雨、模式的发展及应用、空气质量预报技术和环境评价等。气科院大气化学研究工作是和中国气象局大气成分监测站网建设密不可分的, 广大科研人员参加了诸如大气本底站网、酸雨站网、臭氧站网、沙尘暴站网等业务站网的建设, 与此同时也构建了大气化学科研平台。  相似文献

The effect of soil NO emissions on surface ozone in autumn in East China has been studied by using TCTM(Troposphere Chemical Transport Model)with the input of meteorological variables from RAMS.The chemical mechanism for ozone variation caused by soil emissions has also been investigated.The model results reveal that soil NO emissions are important to regional ozone formation and distribution and the effect of soil NO emissions shows spatial inhomogeneity.Ozone over most areas in northern China decreases with maximum average decrement reaching 5 ppb while it increases over most areas of central and southern China with maximum average increment reaching 7 ppb caused by soil NO emissions.This situation of ozone variation is mainly determined by nonlinear photochemical mechanism.For the low NOx areas(≤3 ppb),ozone increases as NOx increases;for the high NOx areas(>3 ppb),ozone decreases as NOx increases.The effect of soil NO emissions on ozone depends on the transition value and NOx concentrations.  相似文献

In the semiarid loess regions, slackwater deposition of overbank flooding over the piedmont alluvial plains was episodic and alternated with dust accumulation and soil formation throughout the Holocene. The records of past hydrological events are therefore preserved within the architecture of loess and soils and are protected from subsequent erosion and destruction. Several Holocene loess–soil sequences with the deposits of overbank flooding over the semiarid piedmont alluvial plains in the southeast part of the middle reaches of the Yellow River drainage basin were investigated by field observation, OSL and C14 dating, measurement of magnetic susceptibility, particle-size distribution and chemical elements. This enables the reconstruction of a complete catalog of Holocene overbank flooding events at a watershed scale and an investigation of hydrological response to monsoonal climatic change as well. During the Holocene, there are six episodes of overbank flooding recorded over the alluvial plain. The first occurred at 11,500–11,000 a BP, i.e. the onset of the Holocene. The second took place at 9500–8500 a BP, immediately before the mid-Holocene Climatic Optimum. After an extended geomorphic stability and soil formation, the third overbank flooding episode came at about 3620–3520 a BP, i.e. the late stage of the mid-Holocene Climatic Optimum, and the floodwater inundated and devastated a Bronze-age town of the Xia Culture built on the alluvial plain, and therefore the town was abandoned for a period of ca 100 years. During the late Holocene, the alluvial plain experienced three episodes of overbank flooding at 2420–2170, 1860–1700 and 680–100 a BP, respectively. The occurrence of these overbank flooding episodes corresponds to the anomalous change in monsoonal climate in the middle reaches of the Yellow River drainage basin when rapid climate change or climatic decline occurs. During at least the last four episodes, both extreme floods and droughts occurred and climate departed from its normal condition, which was defined as a balanced change between the northwestern continental monsoon and southeastern maritime monsoon over time. Great floods occurred as a result of extreme rainstorms in summers caused by rare intensive meridianal airflows involving northwestward moving tropical cyclone systems from the Pacific. These results could be applied to improve our understanding of high-resolution climatic change, and of hydrological response to climatic change in the semiarid zones.  相似文献

When ozone is depleted in the stratosphere during ozone-hole period, UV-B radiation, which is normally absorbed in this region, penetrates into the troposphere. As a result, the behavior of several species in the troposphere, which interact with UV-B radiation, is likely to change. Sulfur dioxide is predominantly found in the troposphere. To study the behavior of sulfur dioxide during this event, a Brewer spectrophotometer was installed at Maitri (70.7°S, 11.7°E) in Antarctica in July 1999. With this instrument, the vertical column density of SO2 was measured from September 1999 to December 2003. We have observed an increase in SO2 column density during an ozone-hole event. The magnitude of increase is different in different years, on average, by a factor of ∼5 (from ∼0.5 to ∼2.5 DU). Simultaneously, the maximum value of UV-B flux at the ground was also measured. We have observed that during the ozone-hole period, the UV-B flux also increased by different amounts during different years, by a factor of ∼3–5. Good correlation has been found between SO2 column and UV-B flux but no correlation has been found between O3 column and UV-B flux from the middle of September to the middle of November. Using a simple steady-state chemical reaction scheme, an attempt has been made to examine whether the increase in UV-B flux could increase the SO2 column during the ozone-hole period.  相似文献

The experiments on amphibolite and sandstone samples pressurized by gas (‘dry conditions’), pure water and water solutions of different composition under temperatures up to 850 °C at equal confining and pore pressure of 300 MPa revealed the different Vp behavior. On heating under gas pressure Vp decreases within all the temperature range, on heating under pressure of water and water solutions Vp at first decreases, but reaching a minimum value at temperature of about 650 °C increases. In order to interpret these data Vp, porosity, permeability and pore size distributions were measured on quenched samples. Microstructure and microprobe investigations also were carried out. The results obtained revealed porosity and permeability changes due to the rock microstructure changes with Vp trends synchronously. These microstructure changes initiating Vp changes were associated with rock thermal decompaction and geochemical transformation caused by the effects of water fluids of different composition, metasomatic and hydration-dehydration reactions, silicification and phase transitions (α-β quartz transition and partial melting).The experimental data demonstrated that the presence of fluids with different composition might lead to occurrence of different Vp values in the rock of the same type. Hence, seismic boundaries may occur in the rocks of the same chemical composition.  相似文献
